Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” Rally a Huge Success … “America today begins to turn back to God.”

 

RESTORING HONOR … IMPRESSIVE!

Four  score and seven years ago, Martin Luther King Jr. stated in his “I have a Dream” speech, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today”.

Today was a day for individuals of all race, creed and color to reflect on the content of their character.

Glenn Beck’s, “Restoring Honor”rally, a tremendous success … it was not about LEFT and RIGHT, ite was not about Republicans and Democrats … it was about God, Honor and Country! Today was a day to “Remember the Dream” and to take back America and restore its honor. A special thank you to Glenn Beck for having the will and courage to out the “Restoring Honor” rally together and making it happen and to those he came, and they came in such vast numbers. Beck stated the following,
“This is the beginning of the end of darkness. We have been in darkness for a long time,” Beck told followers in a preview of his “Restoring Honor” rally.

“Something that is beyond man is happening,” Beck said from the base of the Lincoln Memorial. “America today begins to turn back to God.”

Wow, and the Patriot came …

An enormous and impassioned crowd rallied at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, summoned by Glenn Beck, a conservative broadcaster who called for a religious rebirth in America at the site where the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech 47 years ago to the day.

“Something that is beyond man is happening,” Mr. Beck said in opening the event as the crowd thronged near the memorial grounds. “America today begins to turn back to God.”

It was part religious revival, part history lecture, as Mr. Beck invoked the founding fathers and the “black-robed regiment” of pastors of the Revolutionary War and spoke of American exceptionalism.

Some are reporting that there were 300,000 people. Ten’s a thousands reported by the MSM.

How sad that the predictable MSM would be divisive on the day that MLK Jr. gave his famous “I have a dream” speech. The NY Times reported, Where Dr. King Stood, Tea Party Claims His Mantle. One has to ask them self why the MSM feels the need to provoke and fan the flames of intolerance? Maybe, just maybe because they have a vested interested in keeping folks at each other’s throats.

However, Glenn Beck was the one with character today as the MSM displayed nothing but bitter hatred and contempt. Glenn Beck stated the following at the Restoring Honor rally:

Beck exhorted the crowd to “recognize your place to the creator. Realize that he is our king. He is the one who guides and directs our life and protects us.” He asked his audience to pray more. “I ask, not only if you would pray on your knees, but pray on your knees but with your door open for your children to see.”

Does its really look like only 87,000 people werwe at the ”Restoring Honor” rally as CBS is claiming?

      The TV news said a few thousand showed up.
      We had a huge Media blackout on the west coast. From your picture above it looks Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” Rally had 200,000 plus.

      My dad said, “Rev Al Sharpton had a few hundred supporters.” Yet they gave Al Sharpton more TV news coverage than Beck’s rally.

      I really think this is a crime. To not show the truth. Instead put Sharpton with very little support. Shows our media lies and is corrupt.

      …I wasn’t interested in Mr. Glen Beck and his meglamaniacal presence. I don’t particularly care for the man as I only saw him as a peddler for goldline. I still do. I know that I will receive some barbs for this but that is what I feel.

      I did, however, thoroughly appreciate Sarah Palin’s speech as a proud mother of a Combat Soldier who typifies mothers of Armed Service men and women everywhere.God bless her and her beautiful son and family.

      I am of the era of President Nixon and the “silent majority” which turned the country around and made sure she was protected from foreign and domestic threats. Back then we weren’t insecure, we knew what had to be done and it was done without fanfare. We voted the bums out of office. It was a simpler time, I guess. The same held true for President Reagan. Leadership consisting of honor and values.

      To this end, I feel that it will be the resurgence of the admirable and ever-present silent majority that is going to replace the chaos we are now experiencing, not the drum beating of a celebrity like Mr Beck. I just see that as tactics that the left used ad infinitum and we have no need to copy it.

      That’s just my opinion, of course, but then again it will take more than the more or less half-million folks who were there to change the course of American politics.

      We will then be marching…at the polls.

      It appears that whenever the word “God” is spoken, broguht up, or mentioned to bring back ‘honor’, reactions by left is going bonkers, and my belief is that they are their own god, and refuse to acknowledge something above, and beyond them is foreign; it rejects their own belief system in themselves.

      200-300 thousand present at Restoring America, so some of the media reports 20,000. So much of honesty.

      Beck is right. America needs to remember her foundation. And yes, America was founded on the principle of God and His creation.

      thank you glenn beck and sarah for being the leaders of “taking back america.” we need to turn our hearts back to GOD and teach our children the truth of our country. too many have distorted facts about our country.

      i pray for my country and that our GOD will have mercy and end this horrible regime.

      be at the polls in november and vote out the democrats that have blindly been led by a muslim president. i don’t care what you say about this filth in the WH, he is a muslim!

      You are of course allowed to have an opinion St., but aren’t those just commercials for goldline? I may have missed something but I have never seen GB personally push Goldline…

      I don’t listen to him on the radio so someone clue me in or are all TV commentators personally responsible for the ads on their show?

      Glenn Beck speaks from his heart and the things he uncovers are just down right scary and shows the cronyism behind the scenes. It makes me laugh at the people who shoot him down and in the same sentance say they never watch him.

      All I hear from people is GB spouts nothing but conspiracy theories. How about somebody invite him on their show and disprove anything he says
      point by point, please somebody I dare you. You think somebody would call him out if he says anything untruthfull. All he does is show connections between political officials and people I do not want controlling my government. If you don’t mind then thats fine with me. It seems that all anybody has to say is that Beck is insane or some other insult yet nothing is said to disprove him.

      PS, he did the same to bush along with CNN’s Lou Dobbs who also is critical of the corrent adm. Where on earth is Mr Dobbs these days anyway? Hmmmm…

      Is no one worried about the this raving lunatic? I watched a video taken at this event and several people proudly mentioned putting bullets in our president. I understand free speech but this is treason. Absolute treason. I feel individuals like beck and palin our ruining our country but I don’t wish them dead, maybe exiled or put in prison but this is ridiculous. A majority installed this administration and congress and those that lost are immediately stifling progress because they want their jobs back. Anyone that makes less than 150,000 a year has benefitted from these new policies. I’m sorry I don’t support billionaires that pay less than 1% in taxes while 24% of mine is taxed. 30% under republicans. How can people ignore the fact that Republican policy mirrors that of early communist Russia. More power and wealth in the hands of the few. While the vast majority that voted them in are crippled financially and left without healthcare. This event wasn’t about restoring honor it was about restoring the losing party that doesn’t care about America.

      You are a fool and in the vast minority if you think that America is headed in the right direction. The economy is a disaster. From QI of 2009 to Q2 of 2010, GDP has fallen from 5.0% to 3.2% to 1.7%. That’s America headed in the right direction?

      No one is hiring. Why? Because Obama and Democrat socialist policies are restricting them. You do not boost and economy by redistribution of wealth. Cash for clunkers, cash for caulkers and giving people money to buy homes is not the answer. IT GROWS ZERO JOBS.

      It is a sad commentary that selfish and resentful people cannot comprehend for people to be employed, the risk takers, the owners of compnaies have to make money as well.

      It speaks volumes of the hateful people in the US that they would condemn Glenn Beck for taking a risk and have people “restore honor” to their own lives so that we in turn can restore honor to America.

      Overall, Beck nailed it. A lay preacher man. But he preached peace, values, brotherhood, and much more. Fantastic job.

      To set the record straight…Glenn Beck’s rally was on C-Span. CBS hired an agency to count the number of people…87,000. That picture shown is not from the rally.
