How Low Can Barack Obama Go … Job Approval Rating Down to 38% Among Independents

Drip, drip, drip …

Just how law can Barack Hussein Obama’s approval ratings go? Since his election in 2008, the bottom of his polling numbers have completely dropped out from underneath. Obama’s job approval slide is not by accident, he has earned it. According to the most recent Gallup poll, President Obama has a 38% job approval rating among “Independents”. OUCH, that is most likely to leave a mark, especially this November in the 2010 midterm elections.

obama-shocked

Thirty-eight percent of independents approve of the job Barack Obama is doing as president, the first time independent approval of Obama has dropped below 40% in a Gallup Daily tracking weekly aggregate. Meanwhile, Obama maintains the support of 81% of Democrats, and his job approval among Republicans remains low, at 12%.

Just one year ago Obama had a 56% approval rating among independents. His present 38% approval represents an 18% point drop with independents since July 6-12, 2009.

As Jammie Wearing Fool aptly writes, no wonder Obama is shamelessly pandering to Hispanics with the politicization of illegal immigration. Why else would Obama sue the state of Arizona over such a widely popular illegal immigration bill?Obama is desperate and needs to pander and BS a new voting block.

Why poll numbers matter. It is not the snap shot in time that is important, it is the continual downward trend of Obama’s job approval that is the news. It can only get worse with the state of the economy, the suing of Arizona and as more and more oil washes up on the shore of the Gulf Coast states.

Collectively, only 46% of Americans approve of the president’s job performance, just 1 point above his worst approval of 45%. Obama’s approval has not been above 50% since February.

Despite his professed success with the healthcare legislation, Obama is confronting a stubbornly sluggish economic recovery, continuing high unemployment, growing concerns over deficits and spending, impatience among some supporters such as gays and Hispanics and mounting casualties in his ongoing Afghanistan military campaign.

Ever wonder why Obama’s numbers have cratered, Obama thinks that Obamacare was a success. Talk about an out of touch President. 60% of Americans want to repeal the health care bill and Obama touts it as a success. Welcome to Obama in Wonderland and with much hard work, prayers and upcoming elections … we will not have to deal with it much longer.

I was with my son at the doctor’s office yesterday. Soooo…a man comes in with an ulcer on his leg due to vein issues. I was in the waiting room and heard the receptionist tell him that there is a one year waiting period for insurance to cover pre-existing conditions. WOW. Nice old man had a bleeding ulcer and thought buying insurance would help. Nope. has to have that ulcer a full year and pay out of pocket before Obama’s promise of health care REGARDLESS of pre-existing conditions kicks in.

OHHHH..cannot make this stuff up. I felt SO BAD for that man. He was upset and I don’t blame him.

Here’s the scary part. He DOES have Medicare (whatever it is called) as well, but since he has insurance too and the insurance isn’t going to cover…NEITHER WILL HIS MEDICARE.

So folks, above is a clear picture of what to expect from any of obamanation’s promises. Basically, a big, fat lie and stuck between a rock and a hard place. Wow again.

      Brenda -

Your story rings true, but this is how it has always been. If your coverage is “individual” coverage, then the insurance company will exclude you for 1 year for all pre-existing conditions. Those of lucky to get insurance through our employer have “group” coverage, and the laws are different for that.

Your story is what Obama was trying to address, and is not an affect of the new policy at all. Its been that way for decades.

The Medicare part doesn’t make a lot of sense though. Medicare is primary coverage, so he wouldn’t need other insurance, except supplemental of some sort. Maybe it wasn’t about overall coverage but about the deductibles (which can be substantial as well)

Eh #3 – wrong libtard as usual.

Obama isn’t trying to address that at all.

In fact, it’s the opposite. There was even a story last week about how this new bill wouldn’t help pre-exisiting conditions right away but only those that involved children and that doesn’t take effect until next year.

      Nice libtard spin as usual..YAWN!

Yes #4…Obama promised alot as if it would happen over night.

I do have personal insurance as the IT division I work for supports a large insurance company with many subsidiaries. they pay 90% of everything and I can have my 26 yr old daughter back on already. We even can buy PET insurance!!

Still, this is first time in 19 1/2 yrs my son has required anything other than some penicillin…so least we don’t have any pre-existing conditions we know of…thank God. One reason I don’t go to the doc for much. Who knows what will be used AGAINST you in the future?? I simply tough out my illnesses and that is that. (My choice, my life…Obama…you listening???)

Besides whites and Hispanics are there any other groups that could truly be considered independents?

Blacks support of Obama is reported at 91%. Is that any difference than their 90% support of Jimmy Carter? Hardly an independent group. Gays are also bent that way.

Obama’s only hope for survival is with Hispanics. He’s unlikely to bring the independent whites back. The idiom, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, will resonate with them.

if he was black, his medicaid would have gotten him right in. healthcare reform is nothing more than a scam for obama to skim from whenever he sees the need.
most minorities, unwed mothers are on medicaid so why the need for reform ? this goes back to the illegal alien issue. obama has promised them amnesty and medical care for their support.
watch and see. just pray that the judge shuts obama’s lawsuit against Arizona down. i would love to see the little worm cry.

No one here is qualified to be president, nor should you be attacking any president. None of you know what you are talking about.

    11. Michelle Smith on July 8th, 2010 9:27 pm

@10 I disagree. I think any of us here are more qualified than what we have in office at this very moment. How qualified was he to be President?

      He wasn’t and isn’t.

Until he proves himself worthy of the position then we will continue to criticize his job performance as is our rights as American Voters.

    12. o.o on July 9th, 2010 3:31 am

Nope you are not qualified, again you would not be doing a better job. It depends, as you saw the time he came in office, all he has to do also. If it was no for stuff needing to be cleaned up you would see more from him. Even then I would still vote for him in the next election.

You are not as qualified so let the guy do his job.
