According to news out today, Joran has tested possible for marijuana and cocaine. He told officials about occasional marijuana use but neglected to tell them about the cocaine.

Well hopefully Natalee’s family, possibly supported by other US officials, can possibly be included in additional interrogations. Perhap’s they can offer a perk to jvds to come clean on Natalee. Of course they would not offer anything that would get in the way of the Peru investigation or that would offend Ms. Flores’ family.
It’s probably a good time to get him talking. If he gets a light sentence, one perk would be to dismiss the US charges if he comes clean since it’s possible the US could give him a longer sentence than Peru, which would start being served as soon as Peru releases him.
If still no deal is reached, then try a perk when he’s behind bars. He may be more open to talk at that point. Last and not least, perhaps a concerned inmate might seek the truth about Natalee.
