Yikes, Gallup Poll … Obama Sinks to New Low of 46% Approval Rating

President Barack Obama’s approval ratings have hit the skids and continue to fall. The latest Gallup Poll has Obama at a new low of 46%.  At one point when Obama was sworn into office, he had an approval rating of 68%. Those days are long gone.

His recent handling of the BP oil spill, the Israeli raid on the flotilla, jobs, unemployment and immigration have all caused Obama’s numbers to fall.

At 46%, President Obama’s job approval average for the week ending May 30 is the lowest weekly average of his administration, one point below the previous low of 47% measured in April.

Barack Obama remains a very polarizing President.

What do Obama’s 46% Opproval rating compare to in a second year President? Obama is getting near Jimmy Carter approval numbers, there is a ringing endorsement. Of course Democrats will point to Ronald Reagan’s low second year approval numbers; however, Reagan’s were trending upward, not the downward spiral that Obama is experiencing.

What is most troubling for Obama and Democrats is that Obama has completely lost the independent vote. Only 41% of independents support Barack Obama.

The Rasmussen Daily Presidential tracking poll has Obama at -14 and his approval, non-approval rating at 46% – 53%.

Real Clear Politics Obama average.

Give it time. As the pink slips increase, his numbers will do the opposite.

How can one write a blatant lie like that? Reagan went from a 61% in January 1981 to 35% in January 1983.

Now please expalin how that is an “upward” trend? Conservative hacks really aren’t that idiotic, are they?

It’s 46%? Wow, how can that be? That means that 46 out of 100 people are brain dead, Obama baggers?

The American electorate scares the hell out of me.

Bill Clinton was twice elected. Now that’s scary.

Republicans need to get someone decent to run. Not some old worn out Navy pilot that no one likes. I’ll admit I voted for him, but it was such a tortuous and traumatic event for me.

I had no choice. It was either the old guy or satan incarnate. I was caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. Of course, I had to take a swim.
