1980′s Actor Corey Haim Dead at the Age of 38, RIP

Cory Haim, 1980′s teen idol actor and star of such movies like The Lost Boys, License to Drive and and my personal favorite Lucas has passed away at the age of 38.  Most recently, The Corey pals, Corey Haim and Feldman starred in a TV ‘reality’ show titled The Two Coreys, that was on TV from 2007 to 2008.

Cory Haim – RIP

According to reports, The LAPD said that the death of Cory Haim appeared to be an “accidental death.” However, Local TV stations in Los Angeles it appears Haim may have died of a drug overdose.

From TMZ, Actor Corey Haim died this morning of an apparent overdose, according to LAPD. Sadly, Haim struggled with drug addiction during his meteoric rise in the 80′s.

Yet another example of the tragic rise and fall of a teen star. Rest in Peace Corey Haim.

What a shame and another sad commentary how Hollywood chews these kids up and spits them out. Way too much fame and fortune before they are ever ready for it.

I never would have thought that Feldman would have out-lived Haim. The Two Corey’s are poster children of what wrong with Hollywood.

Re #1: Very well put. One of many reasons that the last movie we saw at the theater was Charlotte’s Web.

      R.I.P. Corey

What a sad & tragic end to such a young man. The price of fame & fortune is a costly one.

So very sad that he had to leave this earth in such a manner.

Cory Haim on his reality TV show said he was raped at age 13 by one of Feldman’s trusted friends.
“A powerful friend.” Later he said, “it was not Micheal Jackson.” Go figure? The guy was passed around Hollywood by pedophiles. Fact or fiction?

Gary Coleman looks like he is next.

This truly saddens me. I grew up watching Haim. I cannot believe another one of my teen idols have died due to an overdose or suicide. Not to mention all ones I didnt idol. Sad.

People use to tell my youngest son, he looked like
      Corey Haim..

I was never a fan of vampire movies..but I did
      enjoy the movie “Lost Boys”.

Another sad story of youth, fame and drugs. I
watched him on an interview tonight..talking
about his battle with drugs.. rehab at least
      19 times..flat lined twice… You could see
how much of a struggle it was inside for him.
Started smoking pot on Lost Boys and went from
      there.

He said he hoped someday he would get married,
have a family and some really good friends.

Another beautiful young man..gone too soon..

      RIP Corey..
