Obama Asks for End to Petty Political Then Press Sec Gibbs Mocks Sarah Palin’s Handy Work

PETTY!!! LOST IN SMALLNESS CONTINUES FOR THE OBAMA WHITE HOUSE

Obama Press Secretary Robert Gibbs took the moment yesterday to diminish of office of the White House to mock Sarah Palin for the Palm Pilot she used during her key note speech at the Tea Party Convention over the weekend. One would think that the White House would be above such things, at least we would like to think so. Not this one. This thin skinned WH thought it appropriate to mock Sarah Palin and her handiwork. All this while the President promotes a new era and to set petty politics aside.

CBS reported that the White House Press corpse laughed, ah no they did not. Watch for yourself, they were actually rather uncomfortable after Gibbs’ childish stunt. More media bias.

Watch CBS News Videos Online

Following President Obama’s surprise appearance at the White House press briefing, press secretary Robert Gibbs garnered laughter from the press corps by holding up his hand to reveal that he had written notes on his palm in black marker.

Gibbs’ move was a jab at Sarah Palin, who was shown to have written notes on her hand at a speech at the Tea Party convention Saturday after making an implicit criticism of the president for using a TelePrompTer.

Obama

The Hand of hypocrisy

Define hypocrisy?

Since Republican Scott Brown won the Senate race in Massachusetts and took away Obama’s filibuster proof majority in the Senate and effectively delivered a death blow to his visions of government controlled health care and the Obamacare bill, The One has been asking for political civility and a change Washington, DC does business. A new era of bipartisanship needs to be enacted between Democrats and Republicans. Sound familiar?

President Obama actually had a press conference with the White House Press “Corpse” for the first time in recent memory. Obama told the press “corpse,”that petty politics must end. Did Barack Obama bother to tell his own staff and Press Secretary?

President Obama declared today that “a sense of purpose that transcends petty politics” must be forged by Democrats and Republicans to create more jobs, reduce the deficit and find at least some common ground on health care.

The fact of the matter this has nothing to do with compromise or bipartisanship. The 2700 page health care bill is such a socialist, government take over of the health care bill. The health care bill is a colossal failure. There is no bipartisan compromise to something so inherently bad that a compromise would be one of compromising principals.

Obama’s idea of starting from scratch is to begin to listen to Republican ideas. WOW, that’s big of him. So Obama just admitted he has not listened to Republicans the entire time Democrats constructed the Obamacare bill that they tried to ram down the throats of America.

How does the Barack Obama come across as sincere if his own staff acts in a petty manner? Are we supposed to believe that Gibbs did this on his own without your blessing? Leadership is set by example Barack Obama. You either need to clean your house of the pox or stop grand standing and asking for things you know are not true.

i got up this morning and wrote larry, curly, and moe on my palm so i don’t forget how stupid democrats really are.
that is larry(gibbs) curly(obama) moe(pelosi). they are already trying to copy Sarah Palin since she so put the beat down on them this past weekend.
democrats are always on the defensive backpedaling and making excuses.

This WH is among the most petty and childish that I have ever seen.

It is appalling how small they are. Leadership starts at the top and is it any wonder why Gibbs pulls such a sophomoric stunt. This WH is only comfortable when they are cracking jokes and making fun of people.

The press corpse did not laugh, they groaned. Listen for your self.

I think even the liberal MSM who put this clown in office is now embarrassed they did so.

What a shame that this is how they treat the office of the Presidency.

I don’t understand why the Left keeps Palin in the news with their silly attacks. They have turned her into the monster she is, a rival politician who is genuinely popular. Huff Po even has a link off their main page for “Palin” so all the libs can get their daily fix of Palin bashing. It’s like a sci fi movie where Starfleet fires its ray guns at the alien beast only to see it grow and become more powerful.

    4. paula on February 10th, 2010 9:39 am

There is absolutely nothing dignified about this white house. They are all mean-spirited and petty and not smart enough to realize it. It’s a disgrace to our country. And I really resent the fact that anyone who disagrees with them is mocked and ridiculed – and that comes from the top.

    5. super dave on February 10th, 2010 10:12 am

yes, the white house press corp is no longer amused with sgt. stutter. this guy can’t answer a legitimate question without beating around the bush grasping for an answer.
he reminds me of master blaster on mad max.

    6. Michelle on February 10th, 2010 10:16 am

Robert Gibbs is an azzhole. Here we are in the midst of a recession and they are playing childish games, poking fun at Sarah Palin when they need to be concentrating on fixing this mess we are in.

Their priorities are so screwed up. If they are not threatened by Sarah then why do they spend so much time talking about her?

Looks as though we have a bunch of 5th graders in the White House.

A complete & utter lack of respect for the office of the President of the United States of America.

      Somebody stop this train wreck.

      WAIT JUST A MINUTE HERE!!!!!

EXCUSE ME, but Gibbs NEVER ONCE uttered Palin’s name or referred to her–watch the video! He was just using the same method of notes she used. If it was OK for her, why for not him?

If the American people want to know why the US is so backward regarding education, technology, poverty, health care and the ability of congress to make progress in all these areas, Palin is leading this reactionary band of Ludites to success. The TEA party (Those unEducated Alarmists), embracing the Ludite tradition, are against progress, entrapped by the dust of ignorance and fearful of an unfamiliar future of adaptation. That Palin, and her followers, are sacrificing this country’s future and making us the laughing stock of the world as she parades around in the king’s clothes, still believe the world is flat: that is how Palin can see Russia from her home. There is a very large population totally unaware of their need for special education. “If the blind shall lead the blind, surely they will into the pit (of blind ignorance).”

Why the self proclaimed Pitbull with lipstick was ever coddled in the first place is beyond me.
She should have been blown out of the water for the simpleton fraud she really was during her
first wink and avoidance of questions during her debate with “O’Biden.” She is now positioning herself for a possible
presidential run in 2012, she’s as mean as they come and will stop at nothing to rip Obama to
shreds, so why not go after her once and for all?
This is a grown woman who blasted the president for using a teleprompter and then had the audacity to read off her palm her own flimsy, miserable talking points that’s she’s been repeating over and over again since last year!

And if the Palminator can’t stand the heat, she should go back to Alaska where she belongs.

#2 – It’s satire, don’t you get it? Reading from my palm, it? says LOL.

Nicely played by Gibbs and Bible Spice deserves the mockery. Actually, anyone who falsely accuses a sitting US Senator of “paling around with terrorists” while concurrently, and in reality, said accuser is literally banging a secessionist deserves more than mere mockery. That person deserves political destruction.

But carry on with your perpetual victimhood.

#2 – How disrespectful of him to mock her like that, right? That kind of mockery should only be hurled at the President (as long as he’s a Democrat, that is). Reading from my palm, it? says LOL.

Anytime the left arms of Obama speek of peace, working together…the next breath they attack and blame. Perfect example were the early tone of Obama speeking at the Republican caucus. Reminded me of in my youth and being in the presence of back woods ignorant peachers, calling for a prayer just when a debate came up. They took the advantage of praying alloud “everyone here will have the good sense and decency to agree…” to what the prayer holder pleases.

Surely many Democrats see these ackward moments. Though the bad side of that coin is our foe’s and advarsaries see it. A foriegn relations disaster. Our foe’s will wish and pay for us to keep Obama. I laugh at Obama and his left arms when they do this, though there is no telling the foriegn damage going on.

    14. tuyvnsurvivor on February 10th, 2010 11:10 am

Anyone here could think of 5 questions to ask Gibbs — IF ANY WERE ALLOWED OPENLY, which he could not answer with civility. So what makes him now think he is ready for comedy, and to pick this event for his BRAND NEW career in comedy?

    15. Dawg1948 on February 10th, 2010 11:22 am

He’s just a fat, ugly, ass hole, and his actions are exactly what I expected from the ONE.

    16. Beck on February 10th, 2010 11:30 am

So immature of Gibbs. Grow up. At least she has an original thought, not just whats typed and read off of a teleprompter. I get sick now watching Obama’s head bounce back and forth between each propter.

    17. Jimbo on February 10th, 2010 12:27 pm

      I don’t like Gibbs. He’s a kind of semi-ambitious former
news paper man and aside from routine press capability
he has very little to offer, in my view. If I were Obama
I would raise his pay and transfer him somewhere.
This little Palin Tempest is an example of Gibbs’ lack
of class and lack of savvy – both! You don’t demean a
demented person, you do NOT rain down on the little guy, you
try to look outside Washington and understand that
a lot of Americans, crazy fools that they may be, take
Palin seriously. Don’t beat up on the underdog, That
IS what she representes, all the way to the bank I
      might add.
Goodbye Gibbs. Start lookng for a classy press
person who will never mention Palin,s name and will
behave with manners and dignity. Gibbs is a truly
second rate hack. He does not belong where he is.

    18. NewGirlBoston on February 10th, 2010 1:10 pm

Figures lefty loser’s like Yoyo will defend Gibbs. Really, you lower yourself to these types of actions and call it warranted? So petty and a waste of time.

Yoyo, Edward /ConMan#8- your allegiance to idiots like this speak volumes. When the press corps moan, well—-what does that tell you—his lame attempt at a joke didn’t go over well. Maybe Gibbs should have also added:

      “get laid”

on his list, but then again—don’t see how that is ever going to happen. Yah, I know , I know—while I bitch and complain about others being sexist- I’m sorry, I just couldn’t resist. He’s a fat puke and I’m sure even his wife avoids getting intimate with him…he makes my skin cringe.

    19. Left Wondering on February 10th, 2010 1:11 pm

Uh, #7 it is obviously a lame attempt, read the grocery list. Who else would it aimed at? You don’t get it? Suprised here, really.

#11 got it and Palin deserved it, until #12 in which they agree with you that it wasn’t a jab at Palin.??

Liberals y’all a confusing lot. You claim to be better than GOP until you get caught then its “Bush did it first, whah, he’s touching me!”

#8, that would be “tue” party wouldn’t it? Nice reach though. No, not really.

    21. Dawg1948 on February 10th, 2010 2:16 pm

I bet writing a few reminders on the palm of your hand for reminding you during the delivery of a speech is not near as expensive as using all those teleprompters that Pres. obama uses. Maybe thats it, if your not spending money needlessly you have no right to an opinion and are incapable of leading this nation. On the other hand Mr. Obama is supporting the technological portion of our industry by buying and using so many teleprompters, however, I would be willing to bet you the damn things are made in Japan, and China. ROFLMAO.

    22. Michelle on February 10th, 2010 2:17 pm

Heehee….It’s funny how all the hate starts spewing on these blogs when we start praising Sarah. OMG! She wrote 5 words on her hand, alert the press. LOL Let’s just see how petty the libs can be. See unlike “the one” she doesn’t use a teleprompter to tell her what to say, when to say it, when to smile, when to wave, etc. etc. She speaks from the truth and speaks from the heart so therefore she doesn’t need a script written out to speak in front of a crowd. So she writes a few points on her palm and now she’s an idiot. TOO FUNNY Come on libs, is that all you got? Surely you can do better than that. She’s really got you guys all head up and I think it’s hilarious that it bothers you so much. I guess you poor libs don’t have anything better to do than to be concerned about what Palin is doing.

    23. Greg the Mongoose on February 10th, 2010 3:36 pm

I thought Gibbs hand puppet was funny. Look! Four or five words is not a speech. Our commander and teleprompter has never given a hour speech without his handlers feeding him lines.

Palin gave the disenfranchised Tea Party Convention
      a huge lift…

allegiance to idiots?this coming from someone who said Palin is someone “to be admired”—uh ok—I really admire someone who had to go to 5 colleges to finally graduate and quit being governor halfway through her term and can not even remember her right wing talking points without WRITING THEM ON HER HAND!!what is this 7th grade?

    26. Greg the mongoose on February 10th, 2010 5:51 pm

Jimbo at least Palin was not a affirmative action student like Barry. Barry will not release his grades or college records. Why? PS, Arabs paid for his schooling.

    27. NewGirlBoston on February 10th, 2010 7:46 pm

#24–Jimbo—did you miss the point of the thread again, apparently so?

Give me a break. Sarah Palin has your boxers all in a bunch no matter what she does or says—but I believe the point of this article really was how low will the White House go? How low when the Press Secretary is making jabs at the “arch enemy”? Pretty low, apparently. For the love of God—why can’t you people ever keep things simple and stick to the point? Your’e arguments are completely baseless.

    28. NewGirlBoston on February 10th, 2010 7:50 pm

Postscript to my last Post: I don’t care if Palin attended College 5 times or 50. She’s not a quitter and I do admire her tenacity for all things. I especially loves how she scares and intimidates Men like Jimbo. How about the liberal looney leftist females who practically foam at the mouth? I don’t agree with everything Palin supports—but I do like her spunk. A lot. She has guts and character which is far more than many others in the political limelight possess. She plainly scares the hell out of those mentioned, and will continue to do so. It’s okay- it’s fun to watch.

      ROFL

#23, not wanting to parce words with you, but I do not think the Tea Party movement is disenfranchised. Much of the good has been done, it is wait and see time. At least from my perspective. I am just cooling it.

The movement could easily expand in multiples just over night. Most people I meet in my walks of life admire my having gone and been involved. Ever so many are at the edge of becomming involved themselves. It is a tough decission for some to go, thinking it could be detrimental to their employement, or just seeing themselves as moderately a trouble maker.

For me, and that is truely only for me…it is time the Palin’s and other publicly known freedom fighters do their thing a few months. Time to see if republicans will meet with the Obama circus and sell us out a bolt at a time.

This is a sad crossroads for America. Lefties want to destroy our government and constitution in order to take for free that upon which they failed in life. The right, and Tea Party want to strangle the terrorist congress and sociolist Obama…that right now is our government. Both sides cleaning Sam with acid. For my part, I do not want to leave chips in the granite.

    30. Milton on February 10th, 2010 11:09 pm

I guess Palin does not understand satire and she complains about telaprompters, what a hypocrite. Palin’s hand job just shows all of us what kind of dullard we are up against, I have not seen this since junior high. She is so perfect for “Fake News”. WOW and some call her a leader….please.

    31. super dave on February 11th, 2010 8:23 am

30: and you call obama a leader ? ha ha ha !! i bet you jumped on the boat when jaqueezy said that obesity was a risk to our national security !
democrats are dullards and are too ignorant to see that she was making a joke of your boy’s administration.
ant to top it off, your boy gibbs tries to pull the same joke off and it backfired on him. even the paid obama media had no laughs for obama’s mouth piece.

    32. Greg the mongoose on February 11th, 2010 6:11 pm

      29. Until the Tea Party can VOTE on the ballet with their own candidates they will be disenfranchised. I would like to see a third party. But the mass media says it will cause a Perot split. (Splitting the conservative vote) and Helping the Democrats. America needs a Tea Party. Most of Congress is like Arlene Spector. You just do not really know who is representing you anymore. They say one thing then do another.

1 might think that for 100.000 dollar one could memorize stuff.

and yes its funny ripping Obama for a telepromter and then using your own hand
      ___________-
SM: Spare us Dolf, your comparison is ridiculous. Much like most of the smears against Palin and the defense of the almighty Chosen One Obama.

You would dare compare an entire speech on a teleprompter that tells Obama when to smile, pause and laugh to notes written on your palm. You have obviously never spoke in public. Even I have wrote key words or mnemonic devices on my hand for a speech or presentation.

More people than you think do what Sarah Palin did, some use 3X5 cards. Its not that abnormal. It only is when the LEFT tries to go mental at some one they pose as a threat.

Sorry, your premise and argument is like comparing GWB’s debt and Barack Hussein Obama’s.

      R

    36. Michelle on February 12th, 2010 10:22 am

Again Dolf sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong. You sir are not an American citizen, you do not vote and therefore have no say in what goes on in this Country. Your opinion means nothing to the rest of us. You don’t have a clue what you are talking about.

As has been stated here numerous times, you cannot compare a few words written on the palm of her hand to entire speeches loaded into teleprompters. It is absurd to compare the two.

That’s the best the left has, they know they are done and so they find every petty little thing they can to try and make themselves feel better.

The left wing whack jobs need to get a life.

    37. Dolf on February 17th, 2010 7:15 am

all politicians use cards with speeches.
its just funny to see 1 politician slam the other for doing the same thing
      ________
SM: There is a huge difference between using card and a teleprompter, please. You lose cred when you cannot differentiate between the obvious.

One is a reminder, the other is a crutch.

The one with the card can do a speech with 5 words wrote on the palm of her hand, the other needs all 5000 words written down. You are telling me you cant tell the difference? Come on.

Here is the difference as to a Teleprompter in Chief and some one with words wrote down as a reminder. Obama a week ago while doing a teleprompter speech could not even pronounce the word “corpsman” correctly. He said “corpse-man”, on 3 separate occasions. What does that tell me? This dude not only may not read his speeches in advance, he does not even know what some of them say.

That is not a President, that is a news anchor.

      Tea Party Patriots

      Mission Statement and Core Values

      Mission Statement

The impetus for the Tea Party movement is excessive government spending and taxation. Our mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize our fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with our three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.

      Core Values

      • Fiscal Responsibility

      • Constitutionally Limited Government

      • Free Markets

Fiscal Responsibility: Fiscal Responsibility by government honors and respects the freedom of the individual to spend the money that is the fruit of their own labor. A constitutionally limited government, designed to protect the blessings of liberty, must be fiscally responsible or it must subject it’s citizenry to high levels of taxation that unjustly restrict the liberty our Constitution was designed to protect. Such runaway deficit spending as we now see in Washington D.C. compels us to take action as the increasing national debt is a grave threat to our national sovereignty and the personal and economic liberty of future generations.

Constitutionally Limited Government: We, the members of The Tea Party Patriots, are inspired by our founding documents and regard the Constitution of the United States to be the supreme law of the land. We believe that it is possible to know the original intent of the government our founders set forth, and stand in support of that intent. Like the founders, we support states’ rights for those powers not expressly stated in the Constitution. As the government is of the people, by the people and for the people, in all other matters we support the personal liberty of the individual, within the rule of law.

Free Markets: A free market is the economic consequence of personal liberty. The founders believed that personal and economic freedom were indivisible, as do we. Our current government’s interference distorts the free market and inhibits the pursuit of individual and economic liberty. Therefore, we support a return to the free market principles on which this nation was founded and oppose government intervention into the operations of private business.

      Our Philosophy

Tea Party Patriots as an organization believes in the Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government, and Free Markets. Tea Party Patriots, Inc. is a non-partisan grassroots organization of individuals united by our core values derived from the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill Of Rights as explained in the Federalist Papers. We recognize and support the strength of grassroots organization powered by activism and civic responsibility at a local level. We hold that the United States is a republic conceived by its architects as a nation whose people were granted “unalienable rights” by our Creator. Chiefly among these are the rights to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” The Tea Party Patriots stand with our founders, as heirs to the republic, to claim our rights and duties which preserve their legacy and our own. We hold, as did the founders, that there exists an inherent benefit to our country when private property and prosperity are secured by natural law and the rights of the individual.
