Joshua Tabor of Yelm, Washington … Father of the Year, NOT!!! Charged with Assaulting 4 Year Old Daughter

ABC’s, ABUSE, BEATING AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT …

Make no mistake that 27 year old Joshua Tabor of Yelm, Washington will never be nominated for the Father of the Year Award. Tabor is being charged with assault for allegedly beat his 4 year old daughter before holding her head under water Sunday night in the family’s kitchen sink.

Why did he do this to his daughter? Because the 4 year old refused to recite her ABC’s. Good grief.

Tabor reportedly told a police officer that he and his girlfriend “held her down on the counter and submerged her head into the water three or four times until the water came around her forehead and jawline,” according to the newspaper.

The suspect said he punished the girl for “refusing to say her letters.”

Tabor, a soldier at the Lewis-McChord base in Tacoma, Wash., has been charged with second-degree assault of a child and is set to appear in court Feb. 16.

According to court records as reported at The News Tribune:

Yelm police responded to a disturbance Sunday night after Tabor’s girlfriend reported that Tabor, a Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier, “was irate, intoxicated and walking around the neighborhood with his Kevlar helmet threatening to break windows.”

Tabor’s girlfriend told Yelm police that Tabor beats his 4-year-old daughter and that the child’s back was covered in bruises. The girlfriend reported that the 4-year-old had locked herself in a closet because she was afraid of her father.

The girlfriend also reported that when the child wets herself, Tabor “makes her sit in the urine-soaked clothes” until he gives her permission to change.

The girl spoke to a Yelm officer, and he observed that she “had severe bruising on her entire back,” along with scratch marks and bruising on her neck, throat, chin, arms, legs and buttocks.

She “was asked how she got the bruises and she replied ‘Daddy did it.’” (snip)

      This is so very sick…

This sorry excuse for a human being needs to be waterboarded just on general principles, then thrown in gitmo for good measure.

In any profession, armed services notwithstanding, there exist those that one way or another falls through the cracks.

I know of and have witnessed too many of our servicemen and servicewomen who value their family and their children. When they come back home from their tour of duty the tears they have when they see their children brings a tear to my eyes as well. It is a heartwarming sight.

So what makes the news? This turd, an aberration of what a father truly is. And has to tout that he is a soldier to boot. In reality, he is just someone that masqueraded as a soldier. If you do not love your own 4 year old child, how can you love any concept, let alone your country?

This story and the simple thought it provokes is: quivering chilling to me. Unimagineable. Gives me a gag sort of feeling.

With that discription, I remember keeping my own two girls every bit as much as my great wife did. I often keep my now 20 month old grand daughter, whom I love multiples more than me. Stories like this are hard. With this one I regret the guy is military; I regret he is a male like me; embarrassed he and I are each human.

I and my syblings were terribly abused, fitting right in with this story. And I both excelled in the miltary and involved with much war there. And my daughters are emmediate with I am the person they most want their children around. The apple can transport away from the tree. Greatest wishes for such for this little girl. My love to her.

I have disagreed with some(not many) of your opinions on this board; however, I thank you, tuyvnsurvivor, for the service that you give to this country and the lessons that you teach, to yours and all, so that we may learn to think free!

Neither of these individuals should ever be allowed near children again.

Child Services will not be doing the child any favors either by trying to place the little girl back with the family. Absolutely horrid.

Some people do not deserve to breath oxygen. What a waste.

Cheers#3, Monkeys management has been kind to allow me an occassional off right, but not left, moment.

Not all conservatives are alike. Most are a work in progress; where different, often it seems we are seeking balance. But we cannot allow the left to willfully disjoin us. And they do willfully.

Our trials of life are so different…we conservatives, it is awesome we are alike at all. Even if it is so basic that we are each people that cannot be lied into seeing a cow patty for a snow cone, and we know ordinary skunk smell from someone who truely respects our country.

I must be odd. I know I must be. Started work far too early in life. A terrible dyslexic (not a known thing when I was a kid). My Dad, and even my Mom’s good side of the family masterful drunks. But hard farming, share cropping, nursery plant business we did seriously…strong Baptist religion…many preachers in our family (my Dad’s Irish side). As far as my family reached any direction, all democrats and they became mighty strong unionists. All males in my Mom’s large Roma family served in the US military since and during the Civil War — but two…one could not serve and his brother was not the sort.

Once I spent a few months interested in how the human brain works. I of course never figured it out. But if the human brain on average has 7 billion bits of information, you and I with our likeness do not share even 2 billion of those bits alike. We do all come from and carry unique learning.

Some strange way I grew to be opposite my family’s. Got a good bit of shunning for a couple of decades. A few continue with what a “prude” and “too good” I might be. I am laughing about that here.

I guess we can ask, did the military let this “mental deficient” into their ranks or did they make this normal guy in this “mental deficient”. Even Ronald Reagan said that water boarding was torture, but I guess Cheney and his gay daughter are the brain trust on this lie that has been perpetuated onto the American people and signed off by the GOP.
      _________
SM: I think the assaulting of a child goes beyond partisan politics. You know everything is not Bush and Cheney’s fault … every segment of society has a bad element, police, drs, priests, teachers and military. Its our job to weed them out and not make excuses for them.
