Democrat North Dakota Senator Byron Dorgan Announces Retirement Before Booted from Office … Thanks Obamacare

Bye, Bye Birdie or better yet, Hasta la Vista Baby …

A victory for WE THE PEOPLE … And so the dismantling of the Democrat Party begins … drip, drip drip.

Incumbent Democrat North Dakota Senator Byron Dorgan announces that he will not seek reelection   in 2010. The rats are fleeing the sinking ship S.S Obama. It is obvious as Michele Malkin stated, Dorgan sees the handwriting on the wall.

“For the past year, I have been making plans to seek another six-year Senate term in next year’s election. Those plans included raising campaign funds and doing the organizing necessary to wage a successful campaign.

More better stated … Another One Bites the Dust!

“Even as I have done that, in recent months I began to wrestle with the question of whether making a commitment to serve in the Senate seven more years (next year plus a new six-year term) was the right thing to do.

“I have been serving as an elected official in our state for many years. Beginning at age 26, I served ten years as State Tax Commissioner followed by thirty years in the U.S. Congress by the end of 2010. It has been a long and wonderful career made possible by the people of North Dakota. And I am forever grateful to them for the opportunity.

“Although I still have a passion for public service and enjoy my work in the Senate, I have other interests and I have other things I would like to pursue outside of public life. I have written two books and have an invitation from a publisher to write two more books. I would like to do some teaching and would also like to work on energy policy in the private sector.

“So, over this holiday season, I have come to the conclusion, with the support of my family, that I will not be seeking another term in the U.S. Senate in 2010. [what he realy meant was, down by 22 points to Hoeven I haven't a prayer of winning] It is a hard decision to make after thirty years in the Congress, but I believe it is the right time for me to pursue these other interests. [Thanks to Obamacare I will be sent packing]

I cannot say that I am shocked at this news, but I am sure this has rocked the Democrat world. In a recent Rasmussen poll, the long time North Dakota senator Dorgan found himself behind Governor John Hoeven in a hypothetical race by 22 points. That was enough to through in the towel. So instead of being voted out in an embarrassing landslide, Dorgan quits to pursue other interests. Like he had any choice in the matter.

Barack Obama and Obamacare prove to be the final nail in the political coffin of Byron Dorgan. Get used to it folks, this is going to be happening with Democrats from now until 2012. Nebrask Senator Ben Nelson might as well follow suit as he is toast as well. Blue Dog Democrats have been announcing their retirement left and right in the House of Representatives.

Thanks to Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid’s ultra liberal and socialist agenda … Hope and Change will come to mean the destruction of the Democrat Party.

The problem is who will takeover. I like Peter Schiff from Conneticut. He has been talking about the crisis for some time. I posted a video of it on my blog at chrisfromneenah.blogspot.com. However, we need to get back to protectionism. I will be talking more about that at the social network at heywhateversocial.info. Here I will like to discuss further about why we need to go to NO FREE TRADE. All Americans should agree on this except of course the rich and powerful who don’t want to give up either of these. Please respond here about this or go to my blog or the social network. thanks
