Just when you thought that Barack Obama had done enough damage with Obamacare, excessive government spending and federal deficits as far as the eye could see … Obama shelves the Nuclear-Missile shield that protected US allies Poland and the Czech Republic.
The move was confirmed by the Czech Republic interim prime minister. “Just after midnight I was informed in a telephone call by President Barack Obama that [his] administration has decided to pull out from the plan missile defense shield installations” in the Czech Republic and Poland, said Jan Fischer said at a press conference Thursday.

The United States has suspended Bush-administration plans for a missile defense shield in Poland and the Czech Republic, officials from both countries said Thursday — a move likely to please Russia, which had fiercely opposed the plans.

I’m not sure why people are surprised by this…
I’m old enough to remember watcing on a BW TV Soviet tanks rolling into the Czech Rep. It was a chilling scene. The Czech’s were crying and begging the US for help and the US could do nothing. Shame on Ear Leader and all his commie/marxist puppet masters.
History teaches us that is not a region or people to ignore. It is an area with rock hard mite, memory, ambitions, and motivations. Eigh? Sort of warlike people the world needs at rest. This will not swallow, and what next of “this” — too?
Another example of him endangering our most faithful and prudent allies, Poland and Czech and any other countries practicing freedom; YET he lies in bed with Chavez, Castro and every other SAmerican country or dictator government.

Here I go again, being a Racist. I heard the excuse about putting in the cheaper shoorter range missles so we could fulfill our obligations to NATO, and at the same time it would be cheaper, and it would be Diplomatic with the Russians. I have a news flash for you, were the Russians diplomatic with Georgia? Do the Russians care if they send millions of dollars in arms to Chavez? Do the Russians agree not to help Chavez build “Peaceful Nuclear Reactors” in Venezuela? The Russians have tried to get a toe hold in the Western Hemisphere since Castro seized power in Cuba. They were forced to give up their ambitions when the USSR collapsed and now, “Their Back”.
President Obama needs to stop appeasing the Russians and everybody else, if the missles intended to be place in Poland and the Czech Republic can reach futher into Iran and into Russia also so be it, they have nothing to fear if they are going to be good neighbors and they were already offered more than reasonable options.
It looks to me like, “The One” wants to appease all our opponents, disregard the safety of our allies and ignore the wishes of the American public. That to me simply indicates a dictatorial stance domestically and appeasement internationally.
You want to stop the missiles early. As Russia sells nukes to IRAN. What a lame bust on Obama part.

Obama has not scrapped the missile defense shield. He is going to put it on US Navy ships, which is the best place for it. And, by the way, putting the defense shield on US Navy ships was supported by Secretary of Defense Gates, a Republican who was first appointed Sec of Defense by Bush.

What else would Gates say he works for “The One”. The argument they gave was not the defense shields being placed on naval vessels, although they gave that lame claim as well. What they said is the Iranians only have medium and short range missles. The idea is to have the capability to blanket the whole country of Iran, if they dare to attack Poland or the Czech Republic. In addition it gave these countries the added protection from Russia. If Russia has no ill intent they have nothing to fear. By the way, as the experts have pointed out if Iran can launch a rocket into orbit, which they did, they have long range capability. Remember, the Bismark’s normal range of fire was less than the 16 miles they could lob shells the size of a volkswagen. Don’t foolishly accept the reasoning here. The true reason was capitulation with the Russians dislike of the plan, in hopes they will help us reason with Iran on the Nuclear issue. Believe me that will not happen. The Iranian’s are not Russia’s Pavlov Dog.

Obama did not scrap the missile defense shield. He is putting it on US Navy ships, which is the best place for it. This allows us to move the ships to guard against any missile threat. For example, if China becomes a threat, we can move the same ships near China. It is also much more cost effective to us. Practically all the money spent on ship missile defense is spent in the USA. Much of the money spent on foreign bases is spent in the foreign country.
#18 Go back and read number 13, your full of BS. In addition why would you put such systems on ships when their already on AWACS. Get your facts on what “The One” is proposing before putting both your feet in your mouth.
