A Peek into Government Run Obamacare … VA Erroneously Sends 1200 Veterans Letters That they Have ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease)

So you want government run health care, eh?

A special shout out to the VA, Veteran’s Association, for showing just how efficient and competent government run health care truly is. The VA sent out letters to 1200 veterans informing them that they had the fatal neurological disease, ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

There was just one small problem. They didn’t have ALS. Cash for Clunkers administration meets health care. Oh those efficient government agencies.

What better information could Americans see than the actual workings of a government run health care system and the “computer glitch” that cause such harmful letters to be sent out to unsuspecting victims. However, as Black Five writes, “I wonder how much the Obama administration has appreciated all the help the VA has been giving them showing the efficiencies, savings and professionalism of government health care”. Behind every computer glitch, there is a person.

Daily Commentary – Tuesday, August 25th, 2009 – Health care: Get it Done Right, Not Just Done

• Dana expresses concern that politicians are not being diligent enough in their work on the health care bill. What’s the rush? How about politicians get it right rather than just done.

“I think that at some point everyone’s going to see that the Republicans simply are not going to agree to any kind of health care reform that the insurance industry isn’t supporting and that, reluctantly, we’re going to have to do it without them,” said Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.).

 

“At some point after we get back, if we don’t have a bipartisan bill, we’ll never be able to meet the goal of having a bill signed into law by the end of the year, so yes, we are considering alternatives,” Schumer said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Another Democrat in Political Trouble … House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) in for a Tough Go

If it’s an incumbent Democrat … it must be a politician in reelection trouble.

Another Democrat in a leadership role appears to be in some trouble in his reelection bid for the House of Representatives. House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich) appears that he might be facing a tough reelection race in 2010.

40 percent of Conyers’s constituents said he deserved reelection, according to a poll conducted earlier this month by the Lansing, Mich.-based Deno Noor Polling, in conjunction with the Rossman Group and Perricone Group.

44 percent of Detroiters represented by Conyers said they would prefer to elect someone else. 15 percent were unsure or didn’t know.

The 80 year old Conyers has served in Congress since 1965. 80!!! Since 1965!!! There is no way the Founding Fathers ever intended the members of Congress to be a lifetime appointment. Also as Don Surber reminds us, it does not help one’s reelection bid when your wife is a crook.

This country needs term limits and they need them now!

Now Embattled NY Governor David Paterson Uses Race Card … Accuses Media of being Racists

These Folks Playing the race card is getting really old.

Even when Barack Obama does not want to get drawn into a race issue, he does. Like Obama does not have enough issue with Obamacare, the economy and his poll numbers. Now NY Gov. Paterson pulls another race card from the bottom of the deck.

What does NY Democratic Governor and Barack Obama have in common? They both “stupidly” used the race card to blame others. In the case of embattled NY Gov. Paterson, he blamed a racist media for trying to push him out of next years election. Paterson need only look in the mirror for his troubles as he has a 30% approval rating that is actually up from a once 18%. Patterson claimed that President Obama would be the next “victim” of the racially biased news media. Sadly, has it become with Democrats that if a black man is behind in the polls or losing an issue … it must be because of racism.

He said what? Earth to Paterson, the MSM is liberal, not racists

“The whole idea is to get me not to run in the primary,” Paterson complained on a morning radio show hosted by Daily News columnist Errol Louis.

He suggested that Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, the country’s only other African-American governor, also is under fire because of his race.

Of more than 500 senior policymaking positions requiring Senate confirmation, just 43 percent have been filled so far — a reflection of a White House that grew more cautious after several nominations blew up last spring, a Senate that is intensively investigating nominees and a legislative agenda that has consumed both.

Search for Reality TV Show Star Ryan Jenkins in Murder of ex-wife Jasmine Fiore is Over … Found Dead of Apparent Suicide

The international manhunt for reality TV star, “Megan Wants A Millionaire,” Ryan Jenkins is over.

The 32 year old real estate developer Ryan Jenkins (rt) and investor was wanted in California on first-degree murder charges

Ryan Jenkins was found dead at the Thunderbird Hotel in Hope, British Columbia. Jenkins was wanted by authorities and accused of killing and dismembering his ex-wife, model Jasmine Fiore. Canadian authorities believe that Ryan Jenkins took his own life and committed suicide, although they are not yet releasing details. However, CTV is reporting that he hung himself.

Fiore’s dismembered body was found in a suitcase in Buena Park, Calif., on Aug. 15. The platinum blonde Playboy model’s fingers and teeth had been cut off and pulled out to avoid identification, but she was able to be identified by the serial numbers of her breast implants.

President Barack Obama needs to look no further than his vacation plans to wonder why Americans have lost confidence in “The One” and do not trust him. As the debate over health care rages and “We the People” are outraged over the his socialist agenda and the government controlled so-called public option, The One jets off to “Life styles of the Rich & Famous” Martha’s Vineyard. In the middle of losing the health care debate, Obama takes off for vacation to a local that exudes lieral elitism.

Can this President do anything right? The mere appearance of Obama vacationing in the liberal enclave that is Martha’s Vineyard just further shows how out of touch this elitist is with America. So much for the Democratic President for the working man. Does anyone wonder why the average voter and Joe Six pack cannot relate to this President. People do not trust Obama because he is the first black President. They do not trust him because he is John Kerry. In the midst of a recession, while most Americans are going on staycations, Obama is off to to Martha’s Vineyard.

Already, at least one group on the right is taking a jab at Obama over his beach vacation — at a 28-acre farm, said to rent for up to $50,000 a week. Obama has struggled against the perception that he has trouble connecting with average voters, and some are questioning his choice of a getaway spot for the well-to-do.

“The danger for President Obama is that he seems to be in what is one of the most elite summer resorts in the United States. From an image-making point of view, it would be better to be in the Wisconsin Dells or Put-in-Bay, Ohio,” said Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian. “There is the connotation with Martha’s Vineyard of East Coast elitism. …

Obama runs off on vacation as Obamacare is on life support and will soon be pronounced DOA. Obama’s poll numbers are tanking. The more he talks, the worse it gets. Obama, the great so-called orator has failed to convince any one that Obamacare is good for America. The people have all but lost trust in Obama and his policies. According to the most recent Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Index … Obama has hit an all-time low of -14%.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 27% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14.
