Barack Obama … Read My Lips Middle Class … No, Kinda, Sorta, Yes New Middle Class Taxes … Obama to Break Campaign Promise

Change you can believe in … Barack Obama to break campaign pledge he made during 2008 Presidential election that there will be no taxes on the middle class? America, are you going to stand for this?

Vanderbilt – ‘08

Remember the famed “lipsticking a pig” comment from Obama?

If it looks like a tax & spend liberal socialist Acts like a tax and spend liberal socialist Then it is a tax and spend liberal socialist READ MY LIPS, NO NEW MIDDLE CLASS TAXES Barack Obama, the misleader and chief. It was stated by John McCain and Republicans during the Presidential campaign that Obama could not do what he was stating without raising taxes on the middle class. However, no one wanted to listen. They just wanted to tax the wealthy. That was ok. Wonder how the middle class feels after this weekends talk shows where Obama surrogates, Turbo Tax Geithner and Larry Summer, floated that anything is possible and there was no guarantee taxes would not be raised. That’s a far cry from no new taxes on the middle class. Just another dose of reality to the voting Obama gullible.

During his presidential campaign, Obama repeatedly vowed “you will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime.” But the simple reality remains that his ambitious overhaul of how Americans receive health care — promised without increasing the federal deficit — must be paid for.

During this Sunday’s ABC This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Treasury Secretary Secretary Tim Geithner dropped the bombshell that, “to get the economy back on track, will President Barack Obama have to break his pledge not to raise taxes on 95 percent of Americans”?

Video footage was taken during than presidential candidate Obama’s speech in Dover, NH where President Obama pledges not to raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year.

Hat Tip: Gateway Pundit

Full transcript of interview.

“We’re going to have to do what’s necessary.” Geithner was clear that he believes a key component of economic recovery is deficit reduction. When I gave him several opportunities to rule out a middle class tax hike, he wouldn’t do it. “We have to bring these deficits down very dramatically,” Geithner told me. “And that’s going to require some very hard choices.” “We will not get this economy back on track, recovery will be not strong and sustained, unless we convince the American people that we are going to have the will to bring these deficits down once recovery is firmly established,” he said.

What rational and thinking person did not think that Obama was lying thru his teeth during the campaign with regards to not raising middle class taxes? As Macsmind aptly states, “Stop the Nonsense Obama – You’re Going to Raise Our Taxes and We will Make you Politically Pay for It.” Obviously Obama is not a student or Presidential historian or he would have seen what happened to George Bush Sr. with his “read my lips” tax statement to Americans. Thus, Obama creates and out of control spending socialist policy, increases federal deficits to as far as the eye can see and now that is justification for a tax hike. Who does not think that was his plan all along?

So what will come of this? Obama will make a denial of the comments or his press secretary will be sent out in front of the WH press. Just another example of not knowing and the confusion caused by this novice White House. No wonder no one is trusting them any more.

All the Arrogant piss ant can respond with when he is cornered is “I am the President”. I guess we will just have to change that in 2012. Then the pipsqueek can say “I was the President until my arrogance got the better of me”. The man talks trash and smack and that is all he does. He is in over his head and was not ready for the position he has, he is financially ruining this country.

Taxes to rise on the Middle Class?

What a shocker. Next year when the unemployment rate is still above 10% Nationwide- will we still be hearing how Obama “inherited this mess” from his predecessor? Undoubtedly.

…To further drive home the point:

Long after Obama is no longer President, US will still be paying for this recession in the cost of jobs…. read on…

Thanks alot, Barry for breaking every campaign promise, outspending ANY President in our entire US History to date—and putting many future generations in debt ! NICE JOB !!!!!!! All within less than the first 12 months in office, too.

The ObowmaCare Bill would ‘Stimulate’ theft (confiscation)
of earnings all right. Anyone working or producing earnings
will be ‘Tax-Strangled’ into dependency. Once these outrageous
expenditures are allocated to the ‘Government’, We the People
are automatically strapped for it. BTW, the Printing Press is the
      biggest Pick Pocket of all!

    12. SUPER DAVE on August 3rd, 2009 12:45 pm

the whole campaign was nothing more than a lie to get his hands on the country to rape and pillage our resources until they are gone.

The breaking of this ‘promise’ will be the one voters remember in 2012. Not because dopey voters have such good memories. But because Sarah Palin will remind them of such when she runs against Obambi in 2011.

I am still somewhat shocked that people bought Obama’s campaign promise that “anyone making less that $250,000 per year won’t get a tax increase.” How else are we going to pay for the stimulus, the cash for clunkers, cap and trade, and revamp of medical care ? And yet a majority of voters bought this cynical political lie. The way the liberals fawn all over him though, it won’t matter. He can do no wrong, and Palin can do no right. Keep her off the ticket and we (the GOP) will win the next election. If she’s our nominee, she will galvanize the liberal haters like no one else can do, and we will have four more years of that huckster Obama.

    21. Scott on August 4th, 2009 6:24 am

He already is raising taxes on the middle class; with his federal cigeratte tax among others. He vowed that no kind of tax would be imposed on the middle class, WRONG!…he’s soon going to tax your health benefits among others and if cap and trade passes; then you energy bills will go up…its all a big work by the Obama government to take total control of the government and these loons like yoyo; who is probably here illegally; are idiots of grand proportions…the sad thing is they are going to end up on the losing end of this in the long wrong.

Americans ARE WAKING UP and that’s a good thing…but the fear is Obama only wants to run for four years anyways…why do think the rush is to pass all these things? If these things get in place; he’s done his job and these programs will become permanent and will be hard to change.

    26. Dolf on August 5th, 2009 5:32 am

@24, wasn’t sure if it was Reagan or Bush.

Scott….ppl like you are the reason that large parts of this planet do not like the US, now go crying again.

    27. Scott on August 5th, 2009 6:37 am

PPL like you are why Americans are superior to Europeans in every facet of life…but sadly our “messiah” is changing all that….

I don’t care if ‘large parts of the planet’ don’t like the US and I’d bet a majority of Americans don’t either! LOL! OOHH…oh boy, mommy, large parts of the planet don’t like us…what are we to do? LOL…..whatever toolbox!

    28. Ralph Benezra on August 5th, 2009 9:33 am

President Obama has already committed 787 billion dollars to stimulate, or boost our faltering national economy. He wants to commit more than a trillion dollars to his caps and trade bill. He wants to take over 1/6 of the fedral budget by supporting a health care bill that will cost our nation trillions of dollars more. Question: Where is he getting the money to pay for all of this?
If he taxed everyone one hundred percent of our total income, he still can’t come up with enough money to cover even a small percentage of this debt. And if he taxed all of us in this way, what would be left for us to live on? It sounds like President Obama is intent on making the American citizens totally dependent on the government for EVERYTHING. This apparently IS the change he promised us. And by golly, he is going to bring change to our nation…EVEN IF IT KILLS US!

    29. Dolf on August 5th, 2009 9:35 am

yes, I know you feel you belong to the ubermenschen..your posts clearly state that.

But again…I got 25 paid days vacation a year, if I get sick it doesn’t cost me any work days, my boss can’t fire me out of the blue.

and still we have the same production output as the US

oh yes, we have it so much worse then the US.

how many ppl can’t afford health insurance in the US?
how many ppl can’t afford a decent education in the US?
how many bridges will collaps this year?
      hows that high-speed train going?

I saw an item about a US doctorgroup giving free medical aid. Thought it was in a 3rd world nation…turned out to be the US…..The doctors were said, they had to scale down the foreign aid, just to have enough to help Americans…..

The USA, richest country in the world

      us poor poor socialists

      (second posting try)

    30. BUN on August 8th, 2009 1:03 pm

Doft…I have a good idea, why not take your 25 paid vacation days and go to the land of fun and excitement and missing people…ARUBA!!!!RIP…
