Obamacare: Governors Say Not So Fast On Obama’s Healthcare … Obama Gets Bipartisan Consensus for Healthcare Plan

Obama finally gets bipartisan “dis”approval!

Think Governors do not know the pulse of their state and that Obamacare is a loser?

Barack Obama finally has a bipartisan agreement with his policies. Too bad for him and good for Americans that it is against Obamacare. It appears that Obama’s healthcare plan has grown consensus opposition from Governors to The One’s healthcare reform. As also reported in the Boston Globe, the nations governors are deeply concerned over the cost to pay for Obamacare. Is Obamacare close to DOA?

The nation’s governors, Democrats as well as Republicans, voiced deep concern yesterday about the shape of the healthcare bill emerging from Congress, fearing that the federal government is about to hand them expensive new Medicaid obligations without providing the money to pay for them.

The role of the states in a restructured healthcare system dominated the summer meeting of the National Governors Association here this weekend – with bipartisan animosity voiced against the Obama administration’s plan during a closed-door luncheon Saturday and in a private meeting yesterday afternoon with the secretary of health and human services, Kathleen Sebelius.

“I think the governors would all agree that what we don’t want from the federal government is unfunded mandates,’’ said Governor Jim Douglas of Vermont, a Republican who is the group’s incoming chairman. “We can’t have the Congress impose requirements that we are forced to absorb beyond our capacity to do so.’’

As states are operating in the red, dealing with unemployment and facing a recession , what governor in their right is going to say to their people we are going to increases taxes? Blue Crab Boulevard is spot on when they say, it is political suicide for a anyone to vote for Obamacare. All polls are beginning to show that a vote for Obamacare means a sure loss in the next election.

I suspect that this means that Obama has seriously tried to overreach on this plan. I also suspect that any member of Congress, from either house, that votes for this plan will be in severe trouble back home at the next election. I think the governors (from both parties) just sent a very, very clear message.

More from Don Surber, Governors balk at Obamacare

Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen: It’s “the mother of all unfunded mandates.”

VP Joe Biden has recently said the the Obama Administration misread the economy. He might add that they have misread healthcare as well. It would seem that Obama has misread many things and “We the People” are beginning to realize it. A Washington Post-ABC poll shows that many Obama issues have dropped below the 50% threshold for the first time since he took office, (see poll results HERE). Have Americans lost confidence in Obama in the first 6 months? Among them, healthcare has taken a hit.

Obama’s approval ratings on other front-burner issues, such as the economy and the federal budget deficit, have also slipped over the summer, as rising concern about spending and continuing worries about the economy combine to challenge his administration. Barely more than half approve of the way he is handling unemployment, which now tops 10 percent in 15 states and the District.

As bipartisan opposition, resentment and skepticism mount against the cost of Obamacare, President Obama is going to “Take the Baton” and make speeches were he will spin to the American people that increasing deficits and bankrupting America is a good thing.

AMERICA, WAKE UP … Do not believe crafted words, the numbers do not lie. Of course ask yourself, we is Obama in such a hurry to pass this mess? Could it be because he sees is popularity going down as well after only 6 months.

This Health Care Taxation and Control Plan
that Obowma is attempting to shove down
the People’s throats is not good enough for
him or any of the ‘elite’ in his hierarchy.
Let the Taxpaying American Citizen get
in line behind Illegal Aliens and other
      dependent souls, but, our annointed
‘elite’ are not going to be reduced to that!

In his TV ‘commercial’ today, the anointed
One lied about almost everything he was
peddling with the Medical Power Grab.

Really, does anyone expect truth out of the mouth of Obamanation or anyone he’s appointed? Just wait until the mask really comes off…we’ll have another Saddam…but in the White House!

    6. SUPER DAVE on July 20th, 2009 3:07 pm

deficit could reach 24 trillion dollars. 80,000 dollars for every American. that’s more than i owe on my home. OBAMA AIN’T WORTH IT DEMOCRATS. oh but i forgot, most illegals & democrats won’t have to worry , they will be subsidized.

    7. Michelle Smith on July 20th, 2009 3:42 pm

Why does the government hate the hard working responsible taxpayer? Why do they prefer the illegals & the irresponsible? How much more do they think we can take? We will all be broke and then who will they steal from? Will we all have to live on the streets? They keep taking & taking till we have nothing left to take.

      I’m sick of it.

    8. Brenda in Virginia on July 20th, 2009 4:14 pm

Dear Michelle, the reason the Marxists in power so detest the hard working individual is for just that reason…they are INDIVIDUALS! You cannot take over a noble nation of noble people, nor can you BS them very easily. But it’s very, easy to drag a bunch of terrified lemmings/clones along for the ride if you offer them anything free or suggest they will be equal to another class of individual that they truly aren’t and have no desire to be.

So…just like in Hitler’s Germany, you tell a broken nation they are better than another class (in our case those ‘evil’ rich and anyone who holds traditional values), empower them with enticing words, offer them positions of power, tell them they are the “chosen” people for brining change or otherwise, and they will be all too eager to believe it and follow. Same with the illegals and the masses with the welfare mentality. they want to be better, or at least AS good, as those who work hard for what they have, but are WAY to lazy and prefer the handouts. How simple it is for a deceiver like Obama to hold out his hand with a silver platter in it and promise them everything they want…for free! Not hard at all. He’s in the White House, right?

Besides, once the illegals can vote, there will never be another conservative president…unfortunately.

Absolutely, straight on. Does everyone recognize that this is exactly what Obamanation is doing?

It all sounds so “fair” when BHO talks about spreading the wealth, until you realize that he doesn’t talk about spreading the work. He tries to make the “have nots” think that they can be the “haves” but without all the work that goes into it. He makes it sound like they just got dealt a bad card and he’s going to give them a higher card while giving the other guy a lower card.

There’s a reason the “haves” have. They’ve either worked hard, made smart decisions and profited or they’ve lied and cheated and stole. In either case, why does everyone else deserve their gain? Are you the person they stole and cheated from? If so, maybe you do deserve some of their gain, but why do you deserve anything from the hard working, smart entrepreneur who made good decisions? Why does anyone think that the “haves” should pay for others’ health care?

Then, smarten up and read the facts. The CBO and the Mayo Clinic both say that O’s health care control will not decrease the overall costs of health care, will raise the deficit and will indeed lower the quality of care.

For those uninsured: do you really want to take away other people’s good fortune to have good health care so that you can have it? What have you done to deserve it? Have you given up your cable tv, nice car, great house, shopping sprees? Or do you not have health care because you choose not to purchase it?

    10. Dolf on July 21st, 2009 4:23 am

Brenda, why are you complaining…your in Berlusconi’s Italy….

and now its ok to compare the US president to Hitler????????

    11. Brenda in Virginia on July 21st, 2009 6:30 am

“It all sounds so “fair” when BHO talks about spreading the wealth, until you realize that he doesn’t talk about spreading the work.”

Damn good point to add Kat!!! One reason I’m so against socialized health care is because it is NOT a right, it’s a privilage. Main reason our health as a nation has gone so far down is poor living habits. I’m tired of watching 200+ pound porkers shoving fries and burgers down their throats with a soda on the side and cigarette in hand. They are often riddled with heart disease, diabetes (sp?), circulatory problems, etc due 100% to lifestyle. And we cannot forget to notice the most exercise they get is looking for the remote. I refuse to believe “bad genes” are most of it. What I believe is learned bad habits are to blame. Really very, upside down.

So, if you have bad spending habits and terrible eating habits, the Obamanation administration will REWARD you by taking from those who practiced the opposite. (Wish there was a way to put Obama and either Hitler or Stalin’s name together to make a more suitable name for our Imposter in Chief.)

#9 – Interesting post from someone who is sucking off the government teat like yourself…..the same big gov’t program that you want to deny others.

How can you justify that level of selfishness?

And you can rationalize it anyway you want to, Katablog – the fact is that you’re on the government dole.

    13. Michelle Smith on July 22nd, 2009 9:25 am

#12 You need to show some respect to Katablog and stop being so mean & nasty to everyone that you don’t agree with. You must be a miserable soul. Healthcare is a privilege not an entitlement. Get that straight. Her husband gave 26 years of service to this Country and he earned that healthcare. You on the other hand thinks everyone deserves a handout. You are a tool YoYo and personally I’m getting sick of your rudeness. Your boy Obama is not helping this country and we are sick of you defending everything he does. He does not care about America and apparently you don’t either.

I think you need to join Hope and go on a long hiatus.

Spare me your 3rd grade nonsensical rant #13…Katablog has a choice, she just chooses to be on the government dime.

What you should be saying #13 is: Katablog, get real or get off the dole.

    17. Michelle Smith on July 22nd, 2009 11:33 am

Dolf WTH are you blabbering about?

Dolf sticking his nose in where it doesn’t belong again.

    20. Michelle Smith on July 22nd, 2009 2:31 pm

#16 Makes perfect sense to anyone expect you mindless liberals.

Yes, she does have a choice and that’s what used to be so great about this country until the government decided to stick their nose into every aspect of our lives.

How much control do you want the government to have over you? You really trust the government with healtcare when they can’t even figure out how to fix the economy.

      PLEASE!

    21. Dolf on July 22nd, 2009 3:40 pm

funny how you choose to neglect that scott just called my mother a prostitu

@17: you are doing the same that you are accusing the others of.

      @18 I agree with who I want to agree…sometimes yoyo…sometimes not.

would he have done this to spare his fellow soldiers ? no!
did he even function as a senator ? no! i mean present !
does he have legitimate documents to live in this country ? no!

    24. Michelle Smith on July 22nd, 2009 6:54 pm

#21 I chose not to answer because #1 you are not American #2 I wasn’t typing to you & #3 You stick your nose in where it doesn’t belong too often. I wasn’t being disrespectful, mean or nasty like YoYo does in just about every post he makes so I don’t know what you are talking about when you posted “@17: you are doing the same that you are accusing the others of.”

It is your right to agree with or disagree with whomever you want except most of us here don’t really care what you think. This is a free country but then again, you aren’t a citizen of this country so I don’t know why you insist on telling us what you think.

    25. Scott on July 24th, 2009 9:17 am

      Good one #24!
