NY Times/CBS Poll Find Majority of Americans Dislike How Obama is Handling Economy … Socialism is not Change America Wanted

It took Americans five months to realize that the change they voted for was not Socialism.

NY Times/CBS poll finds that a majority of Americans are not happy with Obama’s efforts in dealing with the economy and say that he has not developed a strategy to deal with the budget deficit. The honeymoon may be finally over. Americans have wanted to support Obama as sees by his high approval ratings. However, when it comes to Obama’s specific dealings with issues, the result is much different. It’s not personal, it’s professional. However, I don’t want to be friends with my President, I want him to do his job. Obama, like every Democratic President that preceded him thinks he has to be liked and loved. It’s never been personal. Just do your job!

A substantial majority of Americans say President Obama has not developed a strategy to deal with the budget deficit, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll, which also found that support for his plans to overhaul health care, rescue the auto industry and close the prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, falls well below his job approval ratings.

H/T: The Astute Blogger

A distinct gulf exists between Mr. Obama’s overall standing and how some of his key initiatives are viewed, with fewer than half of Americans saying they approve of how he has handled health care and the effort to save General Motors and Chrysler. A majority of people said his policies have had either no effect yet on improving the economy or had made it worse, underscoring how his political strength still rests on faith in his leadership rather than concrete results.

Is America finally waking up? Are the voters actually beginning to understand that the smooth talking words of Barack Obama are different than the socialist programs that he is enacting and leading America down the Primrose path. What, you mean throwing money at every problem does not solve them? Who knew.

The Astute Blogger may have stated it best for what the Obama Administration has represented during its first five months in office, Appeasement Abraod, Socialism at Home … a Recipe for Disaster.

The Kool-Aid Kegger Is Over For Dear Leader

Speaking to a local business group in Erie, Pennsylvania, Former President George W. Bush said, “I know it’s going to be the private sector that leads this country out of the current economic times we’re in. You can spend your money better than the government can spend your money.”

Polls find rising concern with Obama on key issues

Nearly 70 percent said they had concerns about federal intervention in the economy, including Obama’s decision to take an ownership stake in General Motors and the prospect of more government involvement in healthcare. Obama has made healthcare reform a top priority of his administration.

I guess Americans finally figured out that money does not grow on trees that the government spends in the Obamaland of gum drops and lollipops.

All this money spent and no results.

Isn’t throwing money at it the “American Way”? Doesn’t throwing money at it solve the problem? Doesn’t the Constitution say evrybody has the right to Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness, and free health care?

The only thing that clown Obama has done since he has been in office I agree with is kill a fly and just to show you you can’t please everyone, the animal rights people want to make an issue out of that episode. I guess Obama will apologize to flies everywhere now like he has done with all our so called “Allies”.

If any of you do not believe throwing money at a problem will solve it look at our educational system we throw more money at it than any country in the world and a couple of parents with practically no education can home school children that excel in compettion against our government schooled children and beat them in every educational catagory except for poor grades, poor discipline, and poor and subpar academ ic performance.

#4…What would you do? Let everything collapse?
Did you ever think that maybe throwing money at it might solve it? Think again…It’s not just an American problem as you all proclaim…

      Read this article…and then talk….

      http://www.businessinsider.com/henry-blodget-tracking-the-second-great-depression-2009-6#tracking-the-depressions-world-output-1

So far, the collapse of the world economy since April 2008 has been worse than the collapse in the Great Depression. One glance at the fall world output, trade, and stock prices puts the recent “green shoots” in perspective.

The government policy response to the collapse, however, has been much more aggressive. Thus, we will soon collectively learn whether the economic historians are right that the original Great Depression was caused by “policy errors” after the collapse…or whether, as some suspect, there is simply no way to avoid catastrophe after a financial bubble the size of the one we just had.

Let’s face it, the US needs an enema.

The problem is that if all the poop is flushed away, all that would be left would be some immigrant Brits and Aussies, and some toothless guys from the NRA.

      tomorrow is obama’s favorite day.

The redistribution of wealth sounds intriguing…when will I get a big share of money? Hope it comes before I am invited to take a needle instead of Medicare ’cause rationed health care has got to come. Old folks have lived long enough will possibly be the new slogan with all the influx of younger folks from other countries, legal or not, to be covered.

First off what economy??? We have none.
Secondly, Main Stream Media needs to tell Obama the results of the polls
Thirdly, in the words of Revernd Wright …the chickens have come home to roost…

To the ardant supporters of Obama……whats for supper??

    13. Miss-Underestimated on June 18th, 2009 12:23 pm

Whats for supper, cause you’ve already given everyone the free lunch.

    14. SUPER DAVE on June 18th, 2009 12:34 pm

come on democrats, now i know you tell a better lie than the present ones today. you are almost as good as your boy president at lying. but not quite yet.

    15. Rusty Bridges on June 18th, 2009 2:09 pm

#7, you really believe it all would have collapsed?

Your link and arguement are null because the bailout is not working.

So you are for just throwing money around with no accountability? Because thats what Sheriff Joe said they did, they just guessed wrong is what I think he said. It’s all a BS cover story of course, but go ahead and believe that too. I personally would like to know where my hard earned money went.

Answer me this; If the auto bailouts where so desperatley needed to save the country , why are the two that got them now filing for bankruptcy anyway? Where did the money go? Bad guess or payback?

Where are all the jobs that where supposed to be created by the bailouts? Why aren’t the banks lending more now that they have all that monopoly money? Why do they want to give it back so bad?

I think that what all the ones followers don’t realize is that money is just a concept of trust. Printing more paper will not solve the issue it just becomes more debt. Someday soon that debt will have to be repayed, so have fun while you can.

In order to solve problems you have to understand how they happened and then fix what was broken. The US Government doesn’t “understand” the problem because they won’t even admit what happened let alone fix it. Instead they are busy blaming GWB and big business while they should be looking at those that insisted on allowing anyone to buy a house and then bundled this cr*p so no one would notice what it was.

Money may “fix” some problems, but only when you’ve ensured that money is not throwing good money after bad. Because O and his team really aren’t into “fixing” any problems but rather rearranging the US to what they want it to be, we are throwing billions and billions after bad.

O won’t fix a thing because he’s too busy breaking the America we know and love.

The fact that our ‘Money’ is being recklessly strewn about
in secret and at the whim of Obama and his gang, should
raise a flaming red flag. Obama is Not doing his job! He
is serving himself big time! As with Kings, those who helped
put/keep him in power are getting paid off.

Solution: throw the entire pack of worthless parasites Out
during the next round of voting….including those
masquerading as Republicans. Voting the bums out is the
first line of self-preservation for the citizens. Failing that,
Plan B will be necessary. We must always have a plan B in
      mind.

Even an entirely new group of newbies, greenhorns, and
ordinary folks who demonstrate common sense would be
far less apt to become organized against the Constitution.
The Law is what is paramount, not the starry-eyed whims
      of children and misfits.

      be thankfull your not German

the German finance minister was first snubbing at the US (the whole finance meltdown was the fault of the US banks, he said).

Turns out that the German finance sector is responsible for 40% of the total debt (don’t know the US total, but its way less), amounting to 2.000.000.000.000 euro

does John Ensign belong to the States you all love so much??

    20. katablog.com on June 19th, 2009 8:18 am

Dolf: Why are Republicans any more responsible for John Ensign than Democrats are responsible for John Murtha, William Cold Cash Jefferson, Chris special mortgage Dodd, the gay NJ governor cheating on his wife, etc.?

Do you get that O has increased US debt by $2 trillion in a mere 6 months? Does that mean anything to you? Any clue how much 2 trillion is and how long it will take to pay it off?

    21. SUPER DAVE on June 19th, 2009 8:55 am

dolf: just how many women do you think your boy barry has been with since marrying yolanda ?

    22. Dolf on June 22nd, 2009 3:54 am

katablog, they are not, they are all lying scumbags.

they are just as bad as the other guy (more because of his position and work).

only when the republican does it its no news here, but if a democrat does it, it would be all over scared monkeys.

btw. whats a trillion overthere (think we call it biljoen), is it the same as that 2.000 trillion that the German banks are in the red

It looks like the conservative EU bankers wanted to get rich like them Wall Street boys and didn’t realize that they weren’t…..Wall Street boys
