The Obama’s have a new puppy. Yes, that is correct. Breaking news from DC is that there is a new “First Dog,” a 6 month old Portuguese water dog that the Obama girls are naming Bo.
The little guy is a 6-month-old Portuguese water dog given to the Obama girls as a gift by that Portuguese water dog-lovin’ senator himself, Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts. The girls named it Bo — and let it be noted that you learned that here first. Malia and Sasha chose the name, because their cousins have a cat named Bo and because first lady Michelle Obama’s father was nicknamed Diddley, a source said. (Get it? Bo . . . Diddley?)
And yes, a name has finally been announced as the tense stand off has come to an end. I am a bit surprised that the Obama’s did not burn the paper votes of the dog’s name in the fireplace to create “white smoke” to signify a name has been agreed on. I make the Papal white smoke voting reference as Don Surber reports, an Italian newspaper stated that the pope had nixed the appointment of Princess Caroline, Caroline Kennedy, as ambassador to the Vatican.
Hmm … Bo Diddley, how appropriate. This might just be a commentary on Barack Obama and his policies as he appears that he “does not know Diddley” either. Just an addition as I was surfing the web. It would appear that Tiger Hawk has the same sense of humor as Scared Monkeys.
I will second Jammie Wearing Fool’s comment … “Good Grief!!!”. Yes, Woodward and Bernstein must be proud this morning of this fine bit of investigative journalism. A hat tip to Wake Up America for getting it right, yes this is why newspapers are bleeding money.
This story might actually be palpable if America was not presently going through the struggles that he currently faces.

With all this, as reported at The Politico, there was a rush to get this exclusive out. I can only imagine if GWB were in office and with all that is going on domestically and with foreign policy that if they were making exclusive deals for such stories.
The WashPost’s First Dog exclusive — which the WP says the First Lady’s office offered in March to stave off a premature story about the White House vegetable garden, which had been promised as an exclusive to The New York Times (we’re not making this up) — is rained on by weekend Web leaks.

at long last, a decision and action by obama that he was probably capable of making. he most likely checked it out with soros before making it though.

Does anyone else not notice the bizarre irony that MA Senator Teddy Kennedy would be giving a Portuguese water dog to anyone as a gift?
I would tend to think that the word “water” pretty much be barred and not a part of any Teddy stories.
Bo? Maybe they should have named the dog Chappy.
