Dana needs no suggestions from me … but if I could make one, it would be this:

Ask the panelists why Aruba flat-out refuses to meet with Greta von Susteren or her team regarding the latest story in Natalee’s case.

It’s the biggest scandal ever to hit Aruba … and he won’t meet her half-way, won’t work overtime, and won’t give up his weekend.

After all, like Karin Janssen, he has to go on vacation. That’s what I call dedication.

Now, for better or worse, Greta von Susteren has, in her shows, held up the mirror to Aruba. The picture that emerges is as ugly as Paulus vd Scum.

So if this latest story is absurd, idiotic, and based entirely on false pretenses … why doesn’t he meet with her, show the world in ten minutes that she’s an idiot who concocts forgeries, and thereby do his bit to make Aruba look good?

Instead, he turns his back on her.

If we didn’t know better, we might think that he was under orders to keep mum. Fortunately, we know that the Aruban government and law enforcement are noble, honest, above-board, and in every way devoted to coming up with the truth.

    2. Richard on November 26th, 2008 1:22 pm

And if he IS under orders to keep mum, perhaps there is a reason … as though someone didn’t want the latest allegations looked into….

It’s easier to make a fool of somebody in your own show with your own kind of audience and with the editors on your side, then vice versa.

    4. Fox Fire on November 26th, 2008 8:14 pm

      Paul…

      You’re such an nut!

Richard doesn’t think that Joran made a fool of himself.

      Aruba and The Netherlands

HAVE to be the BIGGEST idiots ALIVE!

      .

    5. Fox Fire on November 26th, 2008 8:18 pm

      Oooops!

      .

      PAUL?

      You’re such a NUT!

      .

      Anyway…

      You get the point.

      .

    6. deetch on November 26th, 2008 8:22 pm

      Dana,

I disagree with you completely. Allowing Joran to spew is valuable. So what if Greta wants ratings? I say good, the more people that become aware of these savages the better.

It’s arrogant to say she is doing it for ratings, of course, and so are you, arent’ you?

The main suspect has given the U.S. every right to ask aruba how they know he’s lying?

How do they know she’s dead? We need an specific answer.

    7. Maggie on November 26th, 2008 8:25 pm

Dana and Clint..you are right on…..I think it’s good Natalee’s name is kept alive..but Joran’s interview was a total waste of time,, nothing but lies.. Natalee never made it past the first night in Aruba… Who believes Joran walked Natalee to the beach, then some guy took her by the arm and she didn’t even fight or scream as he said..Phooey! I don’t believe Natalee was sold either, the second night was as strange as the first..All the weird behaviour the second night.. Also believe Paulus too is up to his bald spot in this.. Watching Taco blow up and head going in circles. This was totally staged by Joran to make money from Fox..

    8. viet vet on November 26th, 2008 8:43 pm

And in Joran’s lies, he talks around the truth. She left on the boat and she did not fight or scream, because she was dead or near death. And Joran did not get the 10K, he gave the ten thousand. He lies, but there is some twisted truth in the lies. Paulus is as or more guilty than Joran, after all Joran was only 18. The Aruban authorities are the big criminals, they aided and allowed a coverup. All that they did to cover the crime, only made it worse. They certainly did no favor for Joran. His life will always be on the run, telling lies, and trying to find a way to make money illegally. For Joran there is no tomorrow, and he can thank Aruba for that. Had he been charged and gone to prison, he would already be out and able to rebuild his life. As it is now, he is truly lost forever. Sometimes you have to pay and pay for your deeds.

      #6 Deetch,

You know I respect the hell out of you and the work you have done on this case.

There comes a point where using the case becomes an issue.

No one wants the case to get attention than I an justice more so.

I am not sure if Greta did the right thing. I want her to investigate; however, to hold on to the story since mid summer is an issue.

      R

    10. deetch on November 26th, 2008 8:56 pm

      R,

Sure it’s an issue but so what? This is about Natalee, Joran and keeping the story in the news.

    11. Fox Fire on November 26th, 2008 9:05 pm

      Thing is:

This is going to boil down to one thing and one thing only…

Do you believe there is such a thing as human trafficking?

      If not,

      OPEN YOUR EYES!

      .

      He’s doing it in Thailand!

      .

      What?

You think this is new to him?

If my daughter came up missing in Aruba…

And there was no sign of her…

      NOTHING!

I’d think she was probably trafficked.

      Especially, there!

      A DUTCH island?

Greta probably blew it the first time around and all that tape was on the floor, as if there were nothing to it and SNAP! He’s trafficking girls in Thailand! That’s how psychopaths are. It’s BIG, easy money.

      That’s what he does…

      That’s what his Dad does…

      .

Remember the two little girls that were in front of his office? What were they doing there? Look at the tape… Paulus looks like he’s caught with his hand in the cookie jar!

    12. Maggie on November 26th, 2008 9:20 pm

I also don’t believe Steve Croes.. is completely honest either.. I remember when he was going to look into who that was in the casino and let everyone know, he disappeared.. I also don’t believe his stuff about the cops or Paulus.. Dompig, Jacobs and Vander Straten….they are disgusting and what they’ve done.. Steve still loves Aruba,,, of course he isn’t going to say much about any of them….He has to go back there among them.. He can out Joran, noone wants him around..

    13. Fox Fire on November 26th, 2008 9:42 pm

      Well… Hello!

Who do you think does all that trafficking?

      Organized Criminals…

      GANGS!

You’re kidding yourself if you think Aruba

is going to hand anyone, including Joran,

      over to anyone.

      .

Paulus has them by the THROAT!

I personally cannot comprehend the benefit of giving Steve Cohen a platform to further the Aruban agenda of protecting Paulus van der Sloot.

However … I agree with Beth Holloway … allowing that platform to Joran van der Sloot is a very good thing. Every time Joran speaks he implicates himself all the more in the event encompassing the morning of May 30, 2005 as well as his father.

TWITTY: Oh, no. No, I mean, I think that any time that we can get Joran speaking, I think that he only incriminates himself every time.

      Dana,

No questions about the security guards
nor the press reporting Natalee’s death and then the retraction? How about Jan van der straaten threatening Beth? How about a follow up to Aruba is not corrupt, just confused?

NO, you spent more time criticizing Greta. Well at least she linked trafficking with Aruba in the minds of a lot of people, that is something.

    21. Paul Breiveld on November 27th, 2008 12:52 am

      #4

Well, the basis of your responds is always to insult somebody. That says enough about YOU! And besides that: you seem always intelligent enough to not get my point. #1 poses the question to get on the show from Greta to show she’s an idiot. I merely repsonded by implying that getting on her show benefits her more for her audience. In her show she puts on the show. She edits the show and puts the people there to respond back. Usually the host of a TV show doesn’t look stupid in his or her TV show. You see it with Greta, you see it with Bill, you see it with the Daily Show. They never look stupid in front of their own audience in a show they control themselves.

But you go on and insult people. Even though I doubt you have the excuse of Tourette Syndrom.

    22. Richard on November 27th, 2008 1:47 am

No offense, #21 … but I for one don’t give a damn what you say about me and/or other posters. Maybe you should think about the Aruban cover-up … but that isn’t what the trolls are here to do, is it?

VietVet (#8) … Actually, Joran was only 17 at the time that Natalee vanished. This led to some complications in the case early on.

In general: We knew on June 10 that Natalee was dead, because Jan van der Straaten told us so.
So I guess we have to believe it, don’t we? After all, how much of the ‘evidence’ did he make public? None, to my knowledge.

And how much of an interest has Aruba shown in finding out what basis there was for his statement? None, to my knowledge.

    23. Richard on November 27th, 2008 1:50 am

What is the purpose of our interest in this case … to discuss Greta van Susteren or the Aruban cover-up? Are we letting the trolls dictate what we do?

Why don’t we talk about Beth’s hairdo or something like that … maybe it isn’t relevant to what happened to Natalee.

    24. Richard on November 27th, 2008 1:51 am

My point in my comment #1 seems to have eluded the comprehension of some. I was saying that Aruba’s failure to reply to the information that Greta vS has to present might imply disinterest, or worse, in finding answers to Natalee’s disappearance.

      Got it?

    25. EURobert on November 27th, 2008 2:35 am

      Good show Dana.

And the best part of it…
Not one minute (if I heard it right) was spent with discussing the Joran/Paulus recording.
I agree!! That recording wasn’t even worth mentioning!!!

    26. Greg on November 27th, 2008 3:19 am

      Joran lied again.
      I see the pattern.
      No reason to lie.
      Only guilty people tell lies.

I see. You don;t give a damn. And that is why you respond. I get it (NOT!). And I see Tourette Syndrom is becoming more widespread these days.

    28. katablog.com on November 27th, 2008 9:35 am

I personally think that anyone giving any money to Joran for anything is a fool. Yes, let him talk all he wants, but don’t pay him for it and don’t license anything from him.

IF you must give him money, at least make conditions that he has to sign a legal affidavit of his “truthfulness” with legal clauses preventing his recanting his stories. No payment for “evidence” provided until it has been cleared with experts.

I’d have a problem with Hans Mos IF the evidence that Greta had, had in someway been cleared by experts. Other than that, why should Mos go traipsing around at the tune of Joran who is leading everyone around by the nose?

There is no doubt in my mind that Aruba 1)already knows what happened 2) has no interest in bringing the truth to light 3) Natalee is dead and they know it.

    29. FL on November 27th, 2008 9:41 am

That was NOT Paul’s voice! Is was probably Joran’s own voice and he lowered his voice. Paul speaks with a southern accent. Fox News should have done a little research before they showed it on MSM.

    30. Susan on November 27th, 2008 10:48 am

Dana, all of his guests, and Red hit the nail right on the head! Thank you all for everything you do :-)

Greta is nothing more than a ratings seeking moron, just like Geraldo, etc.! It was a real shocker when she told the world that she was “inclined to believe Urine”, but her latest interview with Urine van der Slut really takes the cake! She should be ashamed of herself :-(

I recently dropped Fox News because I was tired of hearing the same old crap over and over, especially during the Presidential election, even if I did agree with alot that was being reported.

I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving!

BOYCOTT ARUBA AND THE NETHERLANDS TIL HELL FREEZES OVER!!

You’re kidding yourself if you think Aruba

      .

Paulus has them by the THROAT!

      .

      (They’d kill him first)

They’d kill him first? You have a problem with that? Seems like a good start and there’s more than a short list it appears that involves the names of quite a few dirtbags involved in this whole disgusting affair. Load the chamber and let ‘em start to fly.

    33. Fox Fire on November 28th, 2008 3:06 am

      Well….

      Gee, I don’t know, Bob?

      I own a gun.

But, I could never kill anyone,

      unless they were attacking

      either me or my family.

      .

I believe in prisons for people like Joran.

… for the rest of his life!

      AND:

      I, certainly, agree with you…

If he were in a prison in the U.S.,

      that wouldn’t be very long.

      .

That’s all I have to say about that!

    34. chris on November 28th, 2008 8:10 am

Doesn’t anybody remember: “We’ve done this 20 times already”. What exactly was that? Did they kill or sell? Which makes more sense? Where did the Kalpoes get money for a fancy tricked out car, surely not from earnings at the Internet Cafe and who supplied the funds for all of scumbag’s gambling? Just wondering still.

    35. Mike on November 28th, 2008 8:36 am

Greta said one expert verified the tape as good. That means it wasn’t doctored or altered. The other on didn’t. But by Gretas line of questioning to Joe T. She really wanted Paulus voice. I assuming that means the other guy isn’t sure it’s Paulus. But the tape isn’t altered? That means you have Paulus and Joran discussing human trafficing. I believe that Natalee is dead. But there is always that chance she isn’t. As Richard has said before. Aruba could survive a murder. But human trafficing?

    36. Dolf on November 28th, 2008 8:45 am

      Fox Fire: Arawak?

    37. katablog.com on November 28th, 2008 9:18 am

Mike: You can have a fake tape (not Paulus talking) on an unaltered tape (actually it’s a phone chip). Joran could either speak both parts of the conversation or get a friend to do so.

I believe Amy Bradley may indeed to alive. But I also believe Natalee is dead.

    38. Ray on November 29th, 2008 3:00 am

When Joran tried to sell the Thai girls as sex slaves it added credence to Greta’s story.
BOYCOTT ARUBA UNTIL NATALEE GETS JUSTICE.

    39. mary,uk on November 29th, 2008 9:49 am

Ray, i totally agree, i think the fact Joran approached them is valid in the showing of this tape and the De Vries Thai tape brought human trafficking into the mix, all Greta wants is for the authorities to investigate thats their bloody job, if justice does NOT come to the perpetrator at least those who covered up such a crime may have to answer one day!!

    40. Paul Breiveld on November 29th, 2008 8:37 pm

      #38

I agree partly with Ray. You have a point that both stories are related: selling a person. What I found disturbing about the report from Greta was that she didn’t focus on that fact alone, but the feeling of the show was that it was presented as possible truthful. While the tape obvisouly has not vdSlut sr on it. She could have investigated that very easilly (and since the interview was old: she had enough time to do so).

    41. Mary UK on November 30th, 2008 1:23 pm

I wouldnt discount the tape as fake just on hearing it on tv, Joran said his father was on skype when the conversation took place, this distorts a voice, i would like the tape to be analyzed by experts, who will be able to overcome this distortion. I am NOT saying i think the tape is authentic but i would like experts to discount it as fake.

    42. Paul Breiveld on November 30th, 2008 2:26 pm

      #41

It is not only how it sounded… also the choice of words that make it not to be Joran sr, but Joran jr (probablt both voices).

    43. mary,uk on December 2nd, 2008 4:45 pm

Paul, I dont disagree, i just would like it looked at by experts and THEN discounted, that would however throw up interesting questions!!! IMO after the Thai tape Joran saw an opportunity to distance himself from Natalees death, bizzarely “Trafficking” being LESS than murder!(in HIS strange world)
