When It Can Do No Damage to Barack Obama Bill Ayers says, Obama and I actually are “family friends”

It turns out that Sarah Palin was correct when she said at stump speeches during the Presidential election that Obama was palling around with terrorists. Ayers says Obama and I are family friends.

Does character matter? Do you care that you President elect lied to you? A Presidency based on lies, deceit and cover up. Hell, Obama did this and he is not even in office yet. Let us just go on record as saying what an eventful 4 years that this country is in for.

FAMILY FRIENDS

Turn out the unrepentant terrorist more truthful than President elect Obama as Ayers comes clean on relationship

Bill_ayers

OBAMA_Hand

One of the big victors of the 2008 Presidential election was media bias. The big loser, “we the people” in thinking we could ever trust the MSM ever again. Let us all give the main stream media a great round of applause for not vetting the Bill Ayers story and for systematically withholding the truth from the American voters until after the Presidential election. Congratulations to the MSM for running cover for Barack Obama and his real ties to unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers. As Ace of Spades states, “Ayers and Obama merely dissembled on the facts until The One could be elected.”

Barack Obama Family Friend Bill Ayers

Now that it can do no damage to “The Chosen One,” Bill Ayers says … oh by the way Obama and I actually are “family friends”. That is correct. It is ok for Bill Ayers to come out of hiding and the MSM to actually cover the story. Why? Because it cannot hurt their candidates effort to win anymore. A new afterword to the 2001 Ayers book describes Obama as a family friend.  That is a far cry from Obama’s comments that Ayers was just some guy I served on a board with. So much for the lie put forth by Obama that Bill Ayers was “just some guy from the neighborhood.”

Since Obama wants to be the You Tube President listen to the President elect lie for yourself and disavow the connection with Bill Ayers.

Obama Denies Close Relationship with Ayers

In a new afterword to his 2001 book, Bill Ayers, former leader of the 1960s radical group Weather Underground, describes President-elect Barack Obama as a “family friend” and denies he wished his group had set off more bombs in the 1960s.

Ayers, a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, adds few new details about his relationship with Obama in the afterword to Fugitive Days: Memoirs of an Anti-War Activist. The book is being reissued this month.

“We had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fund-raiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign,” he writes.

But right-wing commentators tried to use those connections to smear Obama, he says.

From The Gateway Pundit, Ayers also admits that he was involved in Obama’s early political career.

So now ABC and GMA decide to interview Bill Ayers, ‘GMA’ Exclusive Interview With William Ayers. Of course the MSM can run with it now that their candidate has been elected.

      Unreal…

And the idjits that voted for him think he won’t lie about his tax cuts, his middle class relief ($50K and under), etc…etc…etc..?

He is already backing out on a lot of his plans of hope and change!

The MSM should be ashamed too for not fully disclosing this relationship!

I hope the idjits that voted for him get what they wanted.

    4. caesu on November 14th, 2008 12:04 pm

you didn’t watch the GMA interview then.
he says he used the term ‘family friend’ in the afterword because his relationship is been described like that by the blogosphere.

and no one died during these bombings.
apart from an accident when three of his friends died.

in Vietnam however, a million times more Vietnamese died by bombings for the air.
but i guess these lives are worth less then some structural damage to buildings caused by Bill Ayers bombs.

i am still hoping Barack H. Obama makes Bill Ayers Secretary of Education or another high job in the Department of Education.
because so many are uneducated about their own country’s history.
and even take pride in that ignorance. :(

    5. scott on November 14th, 2008 12:33 pm

Who cares if no one died from his bombings? Proves he’s a coward! His INTENT was to kill people!

yes asshole….wanting to kill your own people versus people that you are at war with is different jerk off! There should have been a million times more Iraqis killed.

We should have made Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq into parking lots! Please please…go over there and be a human shield!

Don’t preach to me about my country’s history you facist pig! YOu are the one who is misguided and ignorant about our country’s history! Anyone who still brings up Vietnam has no credibility at all….hot air!

So you think it’s okay to blow up buildings in your own country as long as nobody is killed? You don’t think that’s an act of terrorism? WOW! You really need to take the blinders off. WAR is different than some radical blowing up buildings in their own country. IF Bill Ayers is such a nice guy then why did Obama disassociate himself from Ayers while campaigning? Huh?

So you think it’s okay for him to teach students that it’s okay to bomb buildings when you are unhappy with what your government is doing as long as nobody gets hurt?

      That is insane…..

Nothing wrong with being educated about history….You don’t have to be an anti-war radical to educate people about war and the effects of war….

Same thing with the Palin smear about “not knowing Africa was a continent.” MSNBC had to retract that one, but after the election and after the damage was done. Apart from Sean Hannity (who I like but is frankly about as objective as a dog on a chain), Fox News was much more “fair and balanced.”

did Obama disassociate himself from Ayers while campaigning?
no he didn’t. he only said he was just some guy in the neighborhood and he sat on some school boards with him with many others including Republicans.
and Ayers is saying the same thing if you take the blinders off and watch the GMA interview.

and bombing or women health clinics?
how about that? there people actually DID die.

i think carpet bombing of Vietnamese villages causing hundreds of thousands innocent dead civilians was state sponsored terrorism.

setting of a small bomb in an empty building is peanuts compared to that.

caesu – look up the word terrorism, then call your friend Bill Ayers and read it to him. Injury and killings are not the cornerstone of terrorism; INSTILLING FEAR IS TERRORISM! Amazing this guy is allowed to teach in America.

It also funny how your reguritate Bill Ayers words, that we were killing innocent people…YAWN!!! Ayers, caesu and any of you other quacks out there that PRETEND to care about the innocent Iraqis, Vietnamese….STOP IT! Really, you look stupid. What of substance have you done to help the Iraqis? NADA! Did you do anything to help the Vietnamese? DOUBT IT! Seriously, since you care so much (ahem, bullshit)why are you over there doing humanitarian work?

YOU ARE A FAKE! YOU ARE A COWARD to sit back and preach when you have done nothing to help any of these innocents. The AMERICAN SOLDIERS have helped the innocent Iraqis as they have freedoms and opportunities that they never were allowed to have.

He’s a failure anyways, his terrorism didn’t dictate what Washington did.

I also love the IMMEDIATE spin he put on the “family friends” comment. He got caught with his pants down!

    13. scott on November 14th, 2008 1:48 pm

I’m no MORON sir. Because I don’t agree with your hot air bullsh*t political statement about the Vietnamese or whoever!

I’m an American and care about my people. When you are at WAR, innocent lives will be lost. It’s morons like you who sit back and say that America was INTENTIONALLY killing innocent people? F U! You can not be any more stupid!

State sponsored terrorism? HA..you should be tried for treason. State sponsored terrorism is what the North Vietnamese were doing to their own people, much like Saddam…..

You are no American. You are a loser and a coward who hides behind the blanket of liberal crybabies who do nothing but talk and take no action to help.

You and others don’t ACTUALLY care about the Vietnamese or Iraqis or else they would contribute to their lives. You want to make yourselves feel important because you have nothing else to do withyour life.

One soldier in Iraqi has done more for humanity than you have done in your sad little food stamp, hand-out receiving life!

I donate money, things to people in THIS country, to our children who are sick, to our military, to those areas devestated by natural disasters, to those families devestated by 9/11…what have you done but turn your back on your President whether you agree with him or not?

So in other words he lied about his association with Bill Ayers just like he lied about not ever hearing Rev. Wright’s venom…..The man is a liar and associates with KNOWN terrorists. Spin it however you like it still doesn’t change the fact that his character is less than admirable.

Again, bombing the enemy of another country is not the same as bombing public buildings in your own country. So, you think protesting the war by destroying public property is the answer. That is absurd. What did he accomplish? Did he end the war?

And yes Obama disassociated himself from Ayers & Wright during his campaign…He threw them under the bus just like he did his grandmother and anybody else that may have cost him some popularity points.

What your posts come across as saying is that it’s okay to murder people and bomb buildings because you are angry with your government because we killed innocent people in Vietnam or Iraq or during WWI & WWII. Is that what you are saying because it sure sounds like it to me.

Bill Ayers bombs were poorly constructed, that’s the reason why people weren’t killed. It wasn’t because he didn’t try or didn’t want them killed. He said so himself that he wished he could have done more.

It just amazes me that you will make any excuse to defend that liar that is our next President. I think you people would still think he’s “the one” even if he came right out and said he wants to destroy this country. You worship this man as if he were GOD. It’s disgusting actually that anyone could be so smitten with someone of his character.

You really believe this man is going to be able to “CHANGE” a whole country when he couldn’t even “CHANGE” things in the State where he resided.

      Yup…Change you can believe in…..The Obamamessiah…..

and how is carpet bombing Vietnamese villages not that??
and the first days of the Iraq campaign were called ‘shock and awe’, so that would be terrorism too.
and then i am not even talking about two nuclear bombs on Japanese cities.

i bet these over three million dead Vietnamese and a million dead Iraqi’s are very happy to get ‘freedom’.

The FBI call Bill Ayres and his group domestic terrorists..

1975 Terrorism Flashback: State Department Bombing
      01/29/04

Twenty-nine years ago Thursday, an explosion rocked the headquarters of the U.S. State Department in Washington, D.C. No one was hurt, but the damage was extensive, impacting twenty offices on three separate floors. Hours later, another bomb was found at a military induction center in Oakland, California, and safely detonated. A domestic terrorist group called the Weather Underground claimed responsibility. Remember them?

Who were these extremists? The Weather Underground — originally called the Weathermen, taken from a line in a Bob Dylan song — was a small, violent offshoot of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), created in the turbulent ‘60s to promote social change.

When the SDS collapsed in 1969, the Weather Underground stepped forward, inspired by communist ideologies and embracing violence and crime as a way to protest the Vietnam War, racism, and other left-wing aims. “Our intention is to disrupt the empire … to incapacitate it, to put pressure on the cracks,” claimed the group’s 1974 manifesto, Prairie Fire. By the next year, the group had claimed credit for 25 bombings and would be involved in many more over the next several years.

The Chase. The FBI doggedly pursued these terrorists as their attacks mounted. Many members were soon identified, but their small numbers and guerilla tactics helped them hide under assumed identities. In 1978, however, the Bureau arrested five members who were plotting to bomb a politician’s office. More were arrested when an accident destroyed the group’s bomb factory in Hoboken, New Jersey. Others were identified after two policemen and a Brinks’ driver were murdered in a botched armored car robbery in Nanuet, New York.

Success for the FBI/NYPD Task Force. Key to disrupting the group for good was the newly created FBI-New York City Police Anti Terrorist Task Force. It brought together the strengths of both organizations and focused them on these domestic terrorists. The task force and others like it paved the way for today’s Joint Terrorism Task Forces — created by the Bureau in each of its field offices to fuse federal, state, and local law enforcement and intelligence resources to combat today’s terrorist threats.

By the mid-’80s, the Weather Underground was essentially history. Still, several of these fugitives were able to successfully hide themselves for decades, emerging only in recent years to answer for their crimes. Once again, it shows that grit and partnerships can and will defeat shadowy, resilient terrorist groups

San Francisco Police Sgt. Brian V. McDonnell was killed by shrapnel from an anti-personnel bomb built and planted by Bill Ayers’ wife, Bernardine Dohrn, according to an FBI report
WASHINGTON – While defenders of unrepentant Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers cling to the rationalization that he never killed anyone during a spree of bombings in the 1970s, his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, built and planted the bomb that killed a San Francisco police officer in 1970, an FBI report claimed.

Ayers and Dohrn are the subjects of new attention because they helped launch Barack Obama’s political career in their living room. Ayers served with Obama for years on two foundation boards, while Dohrn worked in a law firm with Michelle Obama. They also contributed financially to Obama’s first campaign for political office.

While Ayers himself has never been implicated in a death among the high-profile bombings of the Capitol, the Pentagon and several other targets of the Weather Underground he served as a leader, it’s not true that there were no fatalities associated with the attacks.

On Feb. 16, 1970, Sgt. Brian V. McDonnell of the San Francisco Police Department was killed by shrapnel from an anti-personnel bomb planted on a window ledge at the force’s Park Station. The pipe bomb was filled with heavy metal staples and lead bullet projectiles. Another officer, Robert Fogarty, received serious wounds to his face and legs, and was partially blinded in the attack.

Dohrn, then living in a Weather Underground cell on a Sausalito, Calif., houseboat, has long been suspected of involvement in the bombing.
An FBI informant, Larry Grathwohl, who successfully penetrated the organization from the late summer of 1969 until April 1970, later testified to a U.S. Senate subcommittee that Ayers, then a high-ranking leader of the organization and a member of its Central Committee (but not then Dohrn’s husband), told him Dohrn constructed and planted the bomb.

Grathwohl testified that Ayers had told him specifically where the bomb was placed (on a window ledge) and what kind of shrapnel was put in it. Grathwohl said Ayers was emphatic, leading Grathwohl to believe Ayers either was present at some point during the operation or had heard about it from someone who was there. In a book about his experiences published in 1976, Grathwohl wrote that Ayers, who had recently attended a meeting of the group’s Central Committee, said Dohrn had planned the operation, made the bomb and placed it herself.

Grathwohl recounted in his report that Ayers complained to other Weather Underground operatives that they were not contributing enough to the bombing campaigns, pointing out that Dohrn built the bomb and planted it herself.

Obama has said variously that Ayers was just someone who lived in his neighborhood, that he didn’t know he was the notorious Weather Underground leader during his long association and that he assumed he had been “rehabilitated.” Ayers and Dohrn have never condemned their terrorism spree. In fact, Ayers was quoted in the New York Times Sept. 11, 2001, as saying he was sorry he hadn’t done more. Ayers had previously described his reaction to being cleared of all charges due to a technicality this way: “Guilty as hell, free as a bird – America is a great country.”

We were at WAR moron. Simple as that. Innocent lives are lost in WAR TIME!

Now you are trying to say we shouldn’t have dropped bombs on Japan? Ah, Pearl Harbor moron! I believe we ENDED that War.

Shock and Awe is NOT terrorism. Nice spin. Again, we were at WAR. Shock and Awe was aimed at those in resistance, such as Saddam’s troops. Shock and Awe was not aimed at the innocent Iraqis.

It’s obvious you don’t know a thing about Vietnam. I have many family friends that served in Vietnam and were grunts. Those villages HOUSED Northern Vietnamese soldiers, their weapons and sympathizers. When were getting attacked on the ground, while Washington tied our hands, we had no choice but to air raid the area where OUR troops were coming under fire. THAT IS A PART OF WAR. You have no idea how our troops hands were tied in Vietnam…none!

NOT TERRORISM no matter how you spin it.

You just don’t get it….You are still comparing WAR to a domestic terrorist. These are two entirely different events.

WAR was declared on Vietnam, Iraq & others because they were murdering their own people. We were there to help them regain their freedom. The men & women of the military are not terrorist and you should be ashamed that you would compare what they did during war to a anti-war radical such as Bill Ayers bombing places like the Pentagon and the Capitol. That is anti-American and if you feel so sorry for those Iraqi’s and Vietnamese then by all means go help them. I don’t see Bill Ayers over there doing anything to help, all he does is hate America for going to war. That’s just STUPID

William Ayers bombed the Pentagon, The Capitol and a police station in NYC among other places and you think that’s okay. No big deal. He didn’t kill anybody. Only because he was incompetent.

Please stop defending that man…We are tired of listening to you make excuses for him & Obama while disrespecting our military and our country.

a few statistics on abortions.. 3 million isn’t nothing compared to them.. 42 million a year.

93% of all abortions occur for social reasons (i.e. the child is unwanted or inconvenient).

      Likelihood of abortion:
An estimated 43% of all women will have at least 1 abortion by the time they are 45 years old. 47% of all abortions are performed on women who have had at least one previous abortion.

. About 14% of all abortions in the United States are paid for with public funds, virtually all of which are state funds. 16 states (CA, CT, HI, ED, IL, MA , MD, MD, MN, MT, NJ, NM, NY, OR, VT, WA and WV) pay for abortions for some poor women.

      Who’s having abortions (marital status)?
      64.4% of all abortions are performed on never-married women;

      WORLDWIDE

Number of abortions per year: Approximately 42 Million 3 or 4 million a year in the USA
Number of abortions per day: Approximately 115,000

I still have never understood how a man can be charged with double homicide if he kills a pregnant woman.. or why Jack Kevorkian was sent to prison for helping someone who wanted to die, die painlessly.. based on the abortion laws.

Thank you for proving without any doubt that you simply won’t accept any type of reasoning. What would you be saying if someone bombed your house because you voted for Obama?

I believe that Obama is the worst thing this country has ever done along with the $700 billion and growing bailout. So with that firm belief, am I now entitled to bomb your house, car, office building? Senators and Representatives who voted for the bailout – should they also be my fair game?

Unlike you, I LIVED through Bill Ayers. My husband served in Vietnam because his country asked him to.

Anyone who believes it was Ayers right to destroy other people’s property and put them in fear because of their political beliefs (right or wrong) is a nut case and should check in for immediate help.

      Bush & Bin Laden
George W. Bush Had Ties to Billionaire bin Laden Brood
The unexplained death of Salem, Osama bin Laden’s oldest brother, in 1988, brought to an abrupt end a long and intriguing relationship between President Bush and the head of the bin Laden family fortune.
      By Roger Miller

      From: http://www.americanfreepress.net/10_07_01/Bush___Bin_Laden_-_George_W__B/bush___bin_laden_-_george_w__b.html

The world now associates the bin Laden name with Osama bin Laden, the prime suspect be hind the terror atrocities of Sept. 11. As President George W. Bush leads an intense international manhunt for Osama, few Americans realize that Osama’s eldest brother, Salem, was one of Bush’s first business partners.

A photograph from 1971 has surfaced and been printed in English papers showing Osama, age 14, and his brother Salem, age 19, enjoying a summer holiday at the Astoria Hotel in Falun, Sweden. Christina Akerblad, the hotel owner, told the Daily Mail, “They were beautiful boys, so elegantly dressed. Everybody loved them.”

Osama embraced Islamic fundamentalism and is now the world’s most wanted man. “Salem went on to become a business partner of the man who is leading the hunt for his brother,” the Daily Mail’s Peter Allen said. “In the 1970s, he and George W. Bush were founders of the Arbusto Energy oil company in Mr. Bush’s home state of Texas.”

President Bush and the bin Laden family have been connected through dubious business deals since 1977, when Salem, the head of the bin Laden family business, one of the biggest construction companies in the world, invested in Bush’s start-up oil company, Arbusto Energy, Inc.

James R. Bath, a friend and neighbor, was used to funnel money from Osama bin Laden’s brother, Salem bin Laden, to set up George W. Bush in the oil business, according to The Wall Street Journal and other reputable sources.

Through a tangled web of Saudi multi-millionaires, Texas oilmen, and the infamous Bank of Credit and Commerce International, Bush was financially linked with the bin Laden family until Salem met an untimely end in a freak flying accident near San Antonio in 1988.

The infamous BCCI was shut down in 1991 with some $10 billion in losses.

In June 1977, George W. Bush formed his own oil drilling company, Arbusto Energy, in Midland, Tex.

“Arbusto” actually means “shrub” in Spanish, but the Bush family interpreted it as “bush”.

Salem bin Laden, a close friend of the Saudi King Fahd had “invested heavily in Bush’s first business venture,” according to The Daily Mail (U.K.).

Arbusto later became Bush Exploration, when Bush’s father became vice president. As the company neared financial collapse in September 1984, it was merged with Spectrum 7 Energy Corp. in an effort to stay afloat.

The 50 investors who propped up the Bush company with $4.7 million were “mainly friends of my uncle” who “did pretty good” in Bush’s words, although they lost most of the money they invested in the company. Jon Bush, George’s uncle, raised money for Arbusto from political supporters of the Reagan-Bush administration.

“These were all the Bushs’ pals,” family friend Russell Reynolds told the Dallas Morning News in 1998. “This is the A-Team.”

The “A-Team” limited partners contributed $4.67 million to various Bush funds through 1984 but got only $1.55 million back in profit distributions, and $3.9 million in tax write-offs.

William DeWitt and Mercer Reynolds, two staunch Reagan-Bush supporters, owned Spectrum 7.

Despite his poor track record, the owners made Bush president of the company and gave him 13.6 percent of the parent company’s stock.

      surprise deal

As the hard times continued, Spectrum merged with Harken Energy in 1986. In 1990, Harken received a contract from the government of Bahrain to drill for offshore oil although Harken Energy had never drilled a well overseas or anywhere in water.

“Knowledgeable oil company sources believe that the Bahrain oil concession was indeed an oblique favor to the president of the United States but say that Saudi Arabia (home of bin Laden) was behind the decision,” according to The Outlaw Bank: A Wild Ride Into the Secret Heart of the BCCI, by Jonathan Beaty and S.C. Gwynne.

It raised oil-industry eyebrows when the Persian Gulf state announced it had chosen tiny Harken to explore an offshore site for gas and oil. Bahrain officials said they had no idea President Bush’s son was associated with Harken, a claim oil-industry sources ridicule.

The Bahrain deal was brokered in part by Arkansas investment banker David Edwards, one of Bill Clinton’s closest friends. The Bahrain oil project resulted in two dry holes and Harken energy abandoned the project.

Two months before Iraq invaded Kuwait, on June 20, 1990, the younger Bush sold two-thirds of his Harken stock, 212,140 shares at $4 a share-for a total of $848,560.

“That was $318,430 more than it was worth,” Dr. Arthur F. Ide, author of George W. Bush: Portrait of a Compassionate Conservative, said. “George W. broke the law to do this since the transaction was an insider stock sale.”

Eight days later, Harken finished the second quarter with losses of $23 million and the stock went “into a nosedive” losing 75 percent of its value, finishing the year at a little over $1 a share.

“Like his father who made his fortune in the oil business with the money of others, George W. founded Arbusto with the financial backing of investors, including James R. Bath,” said the late James Howard Hatfield, author of a “controversial biography,” Fortunate Son: George W. Bush and the Mak ing of an American President.

Hatfield, 43, was found dead of an apparent prescription drug overdose in a hotel room in Springdale, Ark. on July 18, 2001. Police declined to investigate.

Bath became friends with George W. during their days together in the Texas Air National Guard. Bath “confided that he was an original investor in George Bush Jr.’s oil exploration company,” according to The Outlaw Bank.

Bath found investors for Arbusto and “made his fortune” by investing the money of two BCCI-connected Saudi sheiks, Khalid bin Mahfouz and Salem bin Laden. Mahfouz was one of the richest men in the world and a controlling shareholder in BCCI.

Bill White, a former real estate business partner of Bath, said: “He had put up $50,000 to help George, Jr., get started in oil business” at a time when “Bath had no substantial money of his own,” according to The Outlaw Bank.

Bath received a 5 percent interest in two Arbusto-related limited partnerships controlled by Bush, although Bush told The Houston Post in 1990 that he had “never done any business” with Bath. However, Bush said Bath was “a lot of fun.”

Bath told White that he was in the CIA and that “he had been recruited by George Bush himself in 1976 when Bush was director of the agency . . . he said Bush wanted him involved with the Arabs, and to get into the aviation business.”

White contends that the Saudis were using Bath and their huge financial resources to influence U.S. policy during the Reagan and Bush administrations, according to the Houston Chronicle of June 4, 1992. Such representation by Bath would require that he be registered as a foreign agent with the Department of Justice, which he was not.

Shortly after Bush’s father was appointed director of the CIA, Salem bin Laden appointed Bath as his business representative in Texas. According to The Houston Chronicle, Salem bin Laden, heir to one of the largest building companies in the Middle East, signed a trust agreement appointing Bath as his Houston representative in 1976.

In 1978 Bath purchased Houston Gulf Airport on behalf of Salem bin Laden. When bin Laden died in 1988, his interest in the airfield passed to bin Mahfouz.

There was also a political aspect to Salem bin Laden’s financial activities, which played a role in U.S. operations in the Middle East and Central America during the 1980s, according to Public Broadcasting’s Frontline report.

As head of Binladen Brothers Construction (now the Binladen Group), a company that later helped build U.S. airfields during Operation Desert Storm, bin Laden was close to King Fahd of Saudi Arabia and “a good friend of the U.S. government,” a San Antonio attorney, Wayne Fagan, who represented Salem bin Laden from 1982 to 1988, told the San Antonio Express-News.

When the family patriarch, Sheik Mohammed bin Laden, died in 1968, he left an industrial and financial empire and a progeny of 54 sons and daughters, the fruit of a number of wives. In 1972, Salem bin Laden, the oldest son, took over the estate as his father’s successor, with the assistance of several brothers.

With over 40,000 employees, the Bin Laden Group is represented in the major cities of Saudi Arabia and the Arab capitals of Beirut, Cairo, Amman, and Dubai. The company builds highways, housing units, factories, hangars, and military bases, some of which are part of the U.S.-Saudi “Peace Shield” agreement.

The story of the Bush involvement with bin Laden and the BCCI scandal involves “trails that branched, crossed one another, or came to unexpected dead ends,” according to The Outlaw Bank.

      FREAK ACCIDENT
Salem bin Laden came to an “unexpected dead end” in a Texas pasture, 11 years after investing in Arbusto, when the ultralight aircraft he was flying crashed into power lines near San Antonio on Memorial Day, 1988.

On the morning of May 29, 1988, almost immediately after takeoff, Salem bin Laden’s aircraft struck and became entangled in power lines 150 feet high before plunging to the ground.

“He was a very experienced pilot. He was a good pilot. We just can’t understand why he decided to go right instead of left,” recalled airstrip owner and former Marine Earl May field, who cradled bin Laden, bleeding from the ears.

That day, bin Laden took off in a southeasterly direction into the wind. He surprised onlookers by turning west to ward power lines less than a quarter-mile away.

“Nobody could figure out why he tried to fly over the power lines,” said Gerry Auerbach, 77, of New Braunfels, a retired pilot.

Bin Laden had more than 15,000 hours of flight experience.

The police report concluded “freak accident.” H

But caesu: the point of the article was that Obama LIED about his relationship with Ayers. Obama lied on his website and said Ayers didn’t hold a fund raiser for him – Ayers disagrees. Obama first said that Ayers was just a guy in his neighborhood – that was a lie. Then he admitted he might have served on a board or two with him – that was also a lie because they served on several boards for 7 years and there is no question that it was not just a casual acquaintance. If Ayers is an okay guy, why did Obama have to lie to the American people to be elected?

If Obama believed what Ayers did was right, then why didn’t he stand up for this during the election?

When is it okay for a politician to lie and call other people racists because they simply tell the truth?

    29. WTF? on November 14th, 2008 4:04 pm

The Weather Underground (WU) was directly responsible for the deaths of 8 policemen and a civilian security guard, either through bombings or use of automatic weapons following a bank robbery.

If the Ol’Bomber (Ayers) was the leader of the WU at the time of those murders, why is he “guilty as sin, free as a bird…” (his words), but not serving a life sentence for those killings?

Charles Manson, who IS serving a life sentence in connection with the Tate/LaBianca killings, did not directly participate in those brutal murders.

Was Manson a conservative? Just asking….

i also think these bombings by Ayers were disgusting acts.
i don’t encourage that in any way.
Obama also said something along these lines.

but to totally forget the context would be ignorant.
in Vietnam a war of aggression was going on at that time.
and war crimes were committed (My Lai to name one of the worst).

Nice story about the bin Laden boyz.

So Salem veered right instead of left – nothing wrong with that. Many of us have done the same thing as we mature and develop a greater perspective on the world. Keeps us from flying into powers lines, etc.

Anyway, how about his brothers, Camel and Marlboro, and of course his Slim sista Virginia? I heard they all attended a secret family reunion in Newport, but the FBI “smoked ‘em out” with a bunker buster. They say it was a Lucky Strike!! cough, cough!!!

      adios, denise!

Ayers is histoire just like Vietnam.

We won that war and there is no better prove to that than the number of American companies operating there and raking in millions through its cheap labor. Why there is even an American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.

Harold Meyerson hit the nail on the head in his op-ed piece Why Were WE in Vietnam?

      http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/07/08/AR2008070802462.html

    39. Susan on November 14th, 2008 5:56 pm

#38 – Chris, you are right, OSAMA bin Laden Barack SADDAM HUSSEIN Obama was not born in this country. He was born in Kenya to a radical muslim father (who by the way, was a drunk and had multiple wives) and a stupid, young, naive woman from Kansas. Obama should have been declared ineligible to run for State Senator, US Senator, and the most powerful office in the world.

We will never get to see his birth certificate.

The Palin campaign has said little about the rape-kit controversy. However, spokeswoman Maria Comella said the governor never supported a policy to make victims foot the bill.

Palin “does not believe, nor has she ever believed, that rape victims should have to pay for an evidence-gathering test,” Comella said. “Gov. Palin’s position could not be more clear. To suggest otherwise is a deliberate misrepresentation of her commitment to supporting victims and bringing violent criminals to justice.”

Sure we would like to work together if only we knew what we were working with here. We know absolutely nothing about what this man is going to do. We keep hearing all these promises but we will have to wait & see what the man delivers.

No, the Country has spoken…nearly half was against Barack Obama being elected president. Enough people drank the kool-aide to get him in office. Yes he is our president and yes I do hope he will be a good president but so far his ideals aren’t what I call the right kind of change.

      We shall see

Kay Zee Ez: What planet have you been on? We did not “win” Vietnam. We picked up our tales and ran and in the process caused the deaths of many Vietnamese who supported us. Changes in a country 25 years later does not mean “we” did it.

but to totally forget the context would be ignorant. in Vietnam a war of aggression was going on at that time. and war crimes were committed (My Lai to name one of the worst).

You need to study your US History regarding Vietnam instead of listening to Ayers so much. War crimes do happen and they didn’t go unpunished. That’s what happens when you send 20 year old kids into battle and they watch their buddies die – they lose it and retaliate. My Lai was an exception, not the norm. Kerry lied through his teeth and may serving with him can prove it.

But unlike you, I don’t believe the end justifies the means. William Ayers was and is a terrorist. He didn’t just demonstrate against the war, he bombed the houses of private citizens and public buildings. He attempting to strike terror in the hearts of those that he hoped would then act in fear to stop Vietnam. As I mentioned in another post – I protested, but I stayed within the law to do so.

One of my protests was to send Christmas cards to the troops in Vietnam. It end up being how I met and married my husband.

I am from this planet which you seem to have made to spin around your shallow perceptions and yes, the US DID win by the sheer number of business ventures that are enjoying the fruits of subsistence(and less) wages that these “Americans” are paying to have their products manufactured there and sent to Wal-Mart and other stores that you so happily go to shop and save.

I am glad that you also supported the troops and effort in Vietnam(actually a police action, never was a war). Our troops deserve the very best here always.

But make no mistake about it. If you did not read the opEd by Harold Meyerson that I posted I suggest that you do so and see why so many “American” business people are flocking to a commie government.

Your ignorance of history is showing. It is shallow to perceive that US sold goods make in Vietnam some how means we won a war where we put our tails between our legs and ran, leaving Vietnamese that helped us to die. Hey denise, you twit, was Osama Bin Laden and Bush himself in discussions? Bin Laden has been in hiding for decades, yet you believe he sits in on Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners with his family?

Ayers put it in black and white that he was “family friends.” Only until he realized what he had done, did he start the SPIN.
