In an Orlando Sentinel Exclusive, the parents of arrested tot mom Casey Anthony, George and Cindy Anthony, have fired spokesperson Larry Garrison for what they claimed as secretly profiting from the disappearance of 3 year old Caylee. Larry Garrison had previously stated that he had never made any money from the case of missing Caylee Anthony.
While George and Cindy Anthony were making national TV appearances to talk about their missing granddaughter Caylee Anthony, their California spokesman quietly pocketed $6,500, the family’s lawyer tells the Orlando Sentinel.
Larry Garrison, who has denied making money off the Anthonys since he began representing them, was paid by NBC, according to an invoice and e-mail released to the newspaper by attorney Mark NeJame.
In an exclusive interview this morning, NeJame said the family is “hurt beyond belief” and feels that Garrison was “pimping” them out. They said they have fired the spokesman.
Make room under the big top for yet another side show (freak show) has been added as the circus has come to town. Anthony family attorney, Mark NeJame stated that according to an invoice and e-mail from NBC, Garrison was paid for photos. However, NeJame claims Garrison had no pictures.
However, NeJame said Garrison didn’t have any pictures. NeJame also said Garrison told NBC not to tell the Anthonys about his arrangements.
NBC and ABC officials have admitted to paying licensing fees for photos, which they say is standard practice, though neither company would say how much or to whom they paid.
“It has to stop and these people need to be exposed,” NeJame said.
Alleged Invoice
Larry Garrison has reportedly denied the accusations and stated that the invoice of his with his companies name and fax number is a fabrication. Garrison stated, “some one is playing games here”. Yes some one certainly was I guess. Garrison also claims to have resigned as spokesperson from the case due to the erratic behavior over the last several months exhibited by The Anthony family. In another article, Garrison said he quit because he thinks the family is being manipulated. Seems like that may actually be a truthful statement; however, Garrison did not elaborate as to who was doing the manipulating.

In the end … how very sad and pathetic that we must discuss stories and antics that are going on that have nothing to do with finding and bring home little Caylee Anthony. Once again the following saying rings true … everyone has an agenda, what’s yours?

Larry Garrison confirmed that Cindy and George Anthony did not receive any monies for the Dateline interview but … he failed to mention that he had received monies.
I suspected that maybe either Nejames or Garrison would be recipients of the ‘nominal” fee … as payment for services rendered but … I had would have assume that this would have been a prior arrangement/agreement with the Anthony.

NBC paid Anthonys ‘nominal’ fee for use of photos

NBC News just confirmed it paid a “nominal” fee for photographs as part of its coverage of the Casey Anthony case.
The Orlando Sentinel asked NBC to address a rumor that it paid George and Cindy Anthony for their interview on the Today Show this morning.
A spokeswoman said in an e-mail: “NBC News does not pay for interviews. NBC News paid a nominal licensing fee for photos, which is standard in the industry.”
She would not say how much NBC News paid.
The Sentinel also asked the Anthony’s spokesman, Larry Garrison, if any member of the Anthony family has received compensation from news or entertainment organizations.
Garrison replied via e-mail, “NO FAMILY MEMBER IS RECEIVING MONEY FOR INTERVIEWS.”

I am not condoning Larry Garrison’s underhanded actions but … it would be interesting to know how much Cindy and George Anthony has paid Garrison to date as compensation for his services as their spokesperson. It would be interesting to know if Larry Garrison’s monetary worth was to be forthcoming through proceeds from future movie and book deals.

In my opinion, anyone who wishes to profit off of the tragic death of a three-year old (two at the time) is a snake… slimey, forked tongued, belly crawling snake.
That goes for the Anthony’s as well.

Larry Garrison profited off the Natalee Holloway case by helping Dave Holloway write his book. I thought he was fishy then, guess the smell doesn’t go away between cases.

It’s amazing that you think that someone who works getting publicity for all these people isn’t supposed to receive any compensation. Is he supposed to work for free? With all the publicity he got for Natalee and all the other cases he’s worked on, and the time it must take to get people on all those shows, why shouldn’t he get paid? Isn’t their lawyer getting paid? Do you really believe that the grandparents aren’t making tons of money off their granddaughter’s disappearance? Maybe you’re looking in the wrong direction to make your accusations? Whatever happened to ivestigative reporting? It seems that rumors are all that makes headlines on sites like these now.

A man hired to be the spokesman for the family of missing Florida toddler Caylee Anthony has quit the job, citing their “erratic behavior.”
Larry Garrison was retained in August to speak to the media on behalf of the Anthonys. He resigned Wednesday, according to MyFOXOrlando.com.
“Due to the erratic behavior over the last several months exhibited by the Anthony family, Larry Garrison is resigning as their spokesperson,” he said in a prepared statement.
“It is my opinion that others have manipulated them into situations that would not dignify the family. I can no longer be part of that behavior. I wish them all the peace and resolution they so deserve. The truth always comes out in the end, and in this case, ‘The truth is better than the spin.’”
