Change You Can Believe In: Papers That Endorsed McCain, NY Post, Dallas Morning News, Wash Times Told to Get Off Obama Plane

CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN … OBAMA ONLY DEALS WITH THOSE WHO AGREE WITH HIM

A sign of things to come. No one needs to look into their Magic 8 Ball to see what life will be like under an Obama Administration. People need to just open their eyes, ears and minds and take their rose colored glasses off.

Magic_8_ball_Obama

Magic 8 Ball, is Obama a socialist who will share the wealth and only allow media outlets access who act as propaganda vehicles?

According to The Drudge Report, skeptical reporters from the NY Post, Dallas Morning News and the Washington Times have been tossed off Obama One. What do these three newspapers have in common? All endorsed John McCain. Think the Obama campaign is not playing media favorites? As the Wash Times stated, it feels like the journalistic equivalent of redistributing the wealth. Think the Obama campaign will only use those media outlets that act as their propaganda machine … YOU BETCHA.

“This feels like the journalistic equivalent of redistributing the wealth, we spent hundreds of thousands of dollars covering Senator Obama’s campaign, traveling on his plane, and taking our turn in the reporter’s pool, only to have our seat given away to someone else in the last days of the campaign,” said Washington Times Executive Editor John Solomon.

There is change you can believe in, only the media that will suck up to Barack Obama and carry his water will be rewarded. The rest will be kicked to the curb. Democracy is action or would that be Fascism. What a disturbing sign of things to come.

The Obama campaign has decided to heave out three newspapers from its plane for the final days of its blitz across battleground states — and all three endorsed Sen. John McCain for president!

The NY POST, WASHINGTON TIMES and DALLAS MORNING NEWS have all been told to move out by Sunday to make room for network bigwigs — and possibly for the inclusion of reporters from two black magazines, ESSENCE and JET, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Despite pleas from top editors of the three newspapers that have covered the campaign for months at extraordinary cost, the Obama campaign says their reporters — and possibly others — will have to vacate their coveted seats so more power players can document the final days of Sen. Barack Obama’s historic campaign to become the first black American president.

So as Stop the ACLU states, how is throwing journalists off a plane that do not necessarily agree with you an example of reaching across the aisle? So much for political dissent in America. The Obama campaign has now made it clear that they will only cooperate with those that march in lock step with them. Is this how Barack Obama plans to unite America? This appears to be just the beginning of the many fabrications of the truth that America will soon learn what has come from the lipsticked lips of the Obamamessiah.

Joe the Plumber found this out when he unsuspectly asked Barack Obama a simple question that lead to the “share the wealth” Obama socialist remarks and in turn having the MSM and politically motivated operatives dissecting Joe’s life. We also saw it when a Orlando, FL TV reporter Barbara West dared ask Joe Biden tough questions regarding Obama’s Marxist share the wealth comment and Biden’s statement that Barack Obama would be tested in the first 6 months of his Presidency by foreign foes and most likely Obama’s response would not be correct.

      THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

ANYONE WHO DARES OBSTRUCT THE OBAMA MACHINE WILL BE SILENCED, EITHER TEMPORARILY or PERMENANTLY –

When will people learn what Obama is all about? He will say or do anything to get elected, and anyone who tries to disagree with him or criticie him will be punished in some way.

Here’s an interesting article written by LO Palestinian activist and Islamist Ali Abunimah, who was a close friend of Obama’s, describing how Obama went from pro-Palestinian to pro-Israel (at least in public), in order to get elected. Obama’s public statements should not, however, be confused with his actual beliefs:

      http://www.electronicintifada.net/v2/article6619.shtml

“If disappointing, given his historically close relations to Palestinian-Americans, Obama’s about-face is not surprising. He is merely doing what he thinks is necessary to get elected and he will continue doing it as long as it keeps him in power. Palestinian-Americans are in the same position as civil libertarians who watched with dismay as Obama voted to reauthorize the USA Patriot Act, or immigrant rights advocates who were horrified as he voted in favor of a Republican bill to authorize the construction of a 700-mile fence on the border with Mexico.

Only if enough people know what Obama and his competitors stand for, and organize to compel them to pay attention to their concerns can there be any hope of altering the disastrous course of US policy in the Middle East. It is at best a very long-term project that cannot substitute for support for the growing campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions needed to hold Israel accountable for its escalating violence and solidifying apartheid.”

the obama camp was AFRAID to kick off the crew from fox news or i’m sure they’d have been 1st on the list. if obama is to win i’m sure he’ll have no qualms limiting access to the rest of the reporters who refuse to bow at his feet.

on an added note… as dennis miller put it so eloquently last week, i’m starting to get the creep factor about obama. it’s like a bad sci-fi movie!

Just called my senator which is a democrat and the person that answered the phone said the senator was out. So I voiced my concern about the lawsuit. We got into a big argument over where their is a real birth cert. or not. I said that the one he talked about is a live birth cert. He kept saying Obama could not be a senator or running for president if he did not have one. I ask who checked him out. I ask many times where is the proof. He could not give an answer. All he could say is They checked him out. Well who is THEY….he could not answer.

All Phillip Berg wants is PROOF. Why is that so hard to produce? This delay causes many questions in my mind and begs for an answer, and should to every American. JUST GIVE THE PROOF. That’s not too hard is it?

      It’s such an Obamanation
      Barack’s plans for this nation

      With Obama’s wealth redistribu-ta-tion
taking from those who do the wealth creation
Giving to those who show the proper adoration
I’m telling you it’s an obamantion.

They are planning an election night coronation
greeting “the one” with shouts of acclamation.
The press thinks Barack’s such a sensation
after the election, they’ll need detoxification.

At the polls there can be no personal identification
      for the fear of the poor disenfranchise-a-tion;
But if attending Barack’s election celebration
The poor don’t get the same consideration.

      It’s been all about a man’s deification
one who believes in our socialization.
With Ayers & Wright he has a relation
but mentioning that is mere vilification.

His grand plans include punitive taxation
and some approve with a rationalization
it’s only on the rich and it’s a graduation
If only they knew it was just ingratiation.

All his promises attract crowd fascination
      they firmly believe without hesitation
and quickly make another fraudulent donation
They don’t know his promises are just a placation.

The polls have made their speculation
and it’s whipped up a lot of expectation
Get ready for the “racists” allegation
      and the promised angry retaliation.

      It’s such an Obamanation
      Barack’s plans for this nation

The gentlemen patriots here with the n*gger notches on their guns have forgotten that we already have several sh*t-for-brains private security firms like Blackwater. You guys conveniently forget stuff like that when you try to scare yourselves into thinking the Fourth Reich is coming. Given the opportunity, you and the security firms you support–Blackwater–would absolutely try to take over the country and kill everyone that disagrees with you, claiming you were protecting us.

We’ve heard your nonsense before. I’d rather have a civilian security group under the command of people like Colin Powell than a bunch of freaks and hard-ons like Blackwater, but of course you disagree.

It wouldn’t kill you gents to learn something once in a while.

Throwing those “journalists” off the plane? They write no differently than the reactionary nonsense most of you write here.

So as Stop the ACLU states, how is throwing journalists off a plane that do not necessarily agree with you an example of reaching across the aisle?

They never once mentioned what they would hit you with when they REACH ACROSS THE AISLE.

Besides, when they reach across the aisle they expect to give another Democrat a Hand UP.

They are hoping for ONE-PARTY RULE.

    13. katablog.com on October 31st, 2008 1:35 pm

Think of the precedent it sets: if you agree with me, you get access. If you don’t agree with me, you don’t get access. Now it’s pretty hard to report the news if you can’t get access, but with Obama, you are only going to get one side of the news – the news that agrees with him.

#9 Gustav, I suspect you of being a “skin” voter, who adapts philosophies and facts to suit your candidate. Voting for, or against skin, is racist. Yep, I’m pulling the race card.

I might agree with you about Blackwater, but the choices are few. One of the choices is going back to the draft–mentioned frequently by Democrats. I’d rather not see that . . . again.

I like Colin Powell and thought he was an honest man. I don’t like a civilian force and thoughts of the brown-shirt army of WWII. We have local police, State police, Federal investigators. There are few reasons for a civil force, and one reason it could be a disaster.

Your candidate wants to propel his message–nonstop, without questions. He buys, he intimidates, he is a work of Art.

      Obama is an iceberg!

Based on media coverage, conventional wisdom suggests Wall Street would favor Republican Party candidates when donating to campaigns. But that’s not the case.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics Web site OpenSecrets.org, out the top 25 political contributors for the 2008 election cycle, nine were Wall Street banking or investment firms, including the now defunct firm Lehman Brothers. Employees at eight of those nine firms gave more money to Democratic candidates – nearly $17 million to Democratic candidates versus only $11 million to their Republican counterparts. That’s 60 percent for Democrats to only 40 percent for Republicans.

Four of the top six overall donors are Wall Street financial firms participating in part of the recently passed $850 billion bailout – Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS), Citigroup (NYSE:C), JP Morgan Chase (NYSE:JPM) and Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS). Employees of those firms gave $10.4 million to Democrats and $6 million to Republicans or 63 percent Democrat. Employees of bank Goldman Sachs alone gave $3.6 million to Democrats and $1.3 million to Republicans, a nearly 3-to-1 ratio.

Still, the Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama criticized Republican President George W. Bush for putting Wall Street before Main Street with the blame for the crisis. “Now, this didn’t happen by accident. Our falling GDP is a direct result of eight years of the trickle down, Wall Street first/Main Street last policies that have driven our economy into a ditch,” Obama said at a speech in Sarasota, Fla., on Oct. 30.

And, Obama has had his blame game message conveyed by the media in many cases – that “Republican policies” are behind the financial crisis.

“Barack Obama and Joe Biden – they deliver a tag team attack on John McCain,” CNN “The Situation Room” host Wolf Blitzer said on Sept. 15. “They say Republican policies are to blame for this latest financial blow and they’re accusing the McCain camp of smears and deception.”

Although Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain has had harsh words for “Wall Street greed,” the media in many instances have linked the GOP to the Wall Street crisis, despite donations from Wall Street being a huge part of funding for the Obama campaign. “I was just in Ohio this past week and I can tell you in small towns in Ohio, the economic debate is dominating and it’s not so much that they are in love with Obama plan but they are tired of Republican policy and saying they are though the hearing much different from John McCain,” CNN’s John King said on the Oct. 7 “Lou Dobbs Tonight.” “So that is his challenge to prove he has an economic plan and prove it is different from the current administration.”

And that echo of the Democratic candidates by the media has had an effect on public opinion. According to a Sept. 22 CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll, 47 percent of registered voters polled blamed Republicans for the problems facing financial institutions and the stock market versus only 24 percent that have blame Democratic candidates.

Even when companies outside the top 25 are counted, Democratic support is strong. Out of the top 100 political contributors for the 2008 election cycle, 16 were Wall Street banking or investment firms, including Bear Stearns. Employees of those 16 firms gave more to Democratic candidates – $22 million versus $16 million to GOP candidates. That’s 58 percent for Democrats.

The data from the Center for Responsive Politics are based on contributions from PACs and individuals giving $200 or more to federal candidates and parties as reported to the Federal Election Commission, released on Oct. 19.

Obama’s New Attack on Those Who Don’t Want Higher Taxes: ‘Selfishness’
      October 31, 2008 10:58 AM

On the stump this week, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has pushed back against Sen. John McCain’s description of his tax policies.

“The reason that we want to do this, change our tax code, is not because I have anything against the rich,” Obama said in Sarasota, Florida, yesterday. “I love rich people! I want all of you to be rich. Go for it. That’s the America dream, that’s the American way, that’s terrific.

“The point is, though, that — and it’s not just charity, it’s not just that I want to help the middle class and working people who are trying to get in the middle class — it’s that when we actually make sure that everybody’s got a shot – when young people can all go to college, when everybody’s got decent health care, when everybody’s got a little more money at the end of the month – then guess what? Everybody starts spending that money, they decide maybe I can afford a new car, maybe I can afford a computer for my child. They can buy the products and services that businesses are selling and everybody is better off. All boats rise. That’s what happened in the 1990s, that’s what we need to restore. And that’s what I’m gonna do as president of the United States of America.

“John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic,” Obama continued. “You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.”

It’s unclear if this was a nod to the Ayn Rand book “The Virtue of Selfishness,” with all that the invocation of Rand implies.

It would seem to be, given the themes of Rand’s work, what happens when independent achievers are demonized.

Which would fit with this description of those who want to keep their hard-earned tax dollars as “selfish.”

Atlas may not be shrugging, but Obama is.

      – jpt

      ……………………

What Mr. Obama has failed to recognize is..that times are different than the 90′s and like I said before.. Clinton inherited much of that from Reagan.. Clinton raised taxes to lower the deficit..Obama wants to raise taxes to give it to other people.

McCain does it too or don’t you want to report it?

Joe Klein Of Time magazine and Maureen Dowd of the NY Times don’t get on the McCain or Palin planes.

All of you Republicans don’t think that GW Bush and Cheney took away our rights?
Are you OK with the government being able to listen into your phone conversation, email or take away your laptop at the border or all the other rights we lost under the Patriot Act?
Or the fact that any of us at any time can be lock away without proof or without charges if we are deemed terrorists?
Or how the poor AND the MIDDLE CLASS is getting poorer while the rich are becoming wealthier.

There is a HUGH deficit that will take years to pay off. You are kidding yourselves if you do not think your taxes will not go up, by either party.
McCain can say all he wants to, and he has been changing his policies for years depending on what group he is speaking to.

Or maybe you do realize what Bush has done to this country and you are afraid of Democracy.

I am sick to death of the McCain/Palin campaign and their fear mongering.
They have been raising the same questions for weeks. Don’t you think if there was anything to the Ayers connection somebody would have found it?
They keep raising the same issues to scare people into voting for them.
If there was anything of substance don’t you think the McCain campaign would have found it out?

Why are they not offering solutions to anything?
We are at war. We are in a recession. We are not prepared for another terrorist attack. We have problems with our environment.
AND MCCAIN/PALIN are still talking about Ayers.

When you hang out with the media you hear some interesting things that might not make print or air..in discussing the Senator Obama tossing of some journalists from the plane story that broke today I was told that in the last week two top New York Times management people – who don’t write stories – were on the Senator Obama plane in the last week. Since seats are limited, I asked naively why since they don’t write stories for the paper…and the answer I got!!! “Tourists!”

    28. katablog.com on October 31st, 2008 4:37 pm

Suzy Q and Caesu: dream on. Two different stories, two different reasons and at two different times. Will you contend that McCain also banned two TV stations from access because of the questions they asked?

McCain dumped Maureen Dowd from the Huffington Post not for endorsing Obama but rather because of her constant attempts to cause trouble and ask STUPID questions in an attempt to annoy McCain.

      #25–
***Yes, McCain dumped two columnists, not reporters but opinion pushers. Obama dumped reporters—whose job is to tell the facts, not opinions. (Although, it seems there are very few genuine reporters around anymore.)

***LOL, Maureen Dowd of the NY Times? I’d bet she’s afraid to get on the plane, someone might give her a flying test to see if she really has a broom. ( I don’t know Joe Klein.)

“All of you Republicans don’t think that GW Bush and Cheney took away our rights?”

***Everybody took away our rights: Bush, Cheney, the House, the Senate, the CIA, the FBI . . . but, THE TERRORISTS WERE TO BLAME. Next time around, if it’s Obama who is tested, he won’t respond against the terrorists. Listen to Biden, he stumbled on a truth—or, blurted it out. It won’t be apparent that Obama will be right. I don’t know enough about Obama, and that is his fault. I do know that Bush didn’t declare martial law. I’m not convinced that Obama wouldn’t declare martial law.

“Are you OK with the government being able to listen into your phone conversation, email or take away your laptop at the border or all the other rights we lost under the Patriot Act?”

***No, I’m not OK with it. What’s your solution? Do you have one? Does Obama have a solution? The choice is in the hands of the TERRORISTS. If they strike again, hit them immediately and continue to hit them at every opportunity. Obama won’t do that, he might upset a friend, compromise a negotiation, or (worse) . . . OFFEND.

”Or the fact that any of us at any time can be lock away without proof or without charges if we are deemed terrorists?”

***The potential of this getting worse is greater under an Obama Administration. Especially great when he has so little experience. You are what you eat; and, are judged by the company you keep. We’ll need experience, not trial and error. I hope you will consider this.

“Or how the poor AND the MIDDLE CLASS is getting poorer while the rich are becoming wealthier”

***Bad as it is, it is much better than all of us at the same level of poverty. If Obama takes money from the rich to give to the poor, will the poor create jobs?. Will they know how to start businesses? Will they even want to?

***When there are 5% at the top, and 35% not paying taxes, how much would the top 5% have give for the lower 35% to be content for more than 30 days?

song ‘I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing.’ If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.’We should consider to reinvent our National Anthem as well as to redesign our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It’s my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we as a Nation of warring people, should conduct ourselves as the nations of Islam, whereas peace prevails. Perhaps a state or period of mutual concord between our governments. When I become President, I will seek a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation have placed upon the nations of Islam an unfair injustice. My wife disrespects the Flag for many personal reasons. Together she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past, many years ago. She has her views and I have mine’. Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put aside my hatred. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path of hope. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country’s First Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you heard it right. This could possibly be our next President. I, for one, am speechless.”

      DISARM OUR COUNTRY?????
DISARM OUR COUNTRY SO WE CAN BE LIKE THE PEACEFUL NATIONS OF ISLAM?????????????????????????

Did I get off on the wrong planet?

Why not just surrender to our enemies now? Or better yet, let’s use our own nukes to blow ourselves up and save our enemies the trouble.

Have no fear folks, Obama has a plan! That’s why he has been reading “The Post-American World”.

Maggie (#17) … A lot of big business donates money to both sides, Democrats and Republicans alike, probably on the idea that they want to stand in well with whoever wins.

I wonder if these donations are tax-deductible?

Anyway, there’s a story out today that Obama’s aunt, from Kenya, is living in the U.S. illegally.

Doubtless without the Chosen One’s knowledge, of course, since he would never disobey the law.

I saw a good cartoon over the weekend, the gist of which was that since Obama has raised so much money (after breaking his promise to abide by public financing if McCain did likewise; McCain did, Obama didn’t), under the ‘spread the wealth’ doctrine, some of that money would be given to the McCain campaign.

In the cartoon, Obama raised holy hell. “It’s MY money! I earned it! I NEED it!”

The comment in the final panel: “Spreading the wealth isn’t so wonderful when it’s YOUR wealth, is it?”

      Pat: that’s a false report.

“Are you OK with the government being able to listen into your phone conversation, email or take away your laptop at the border or all the other rights we lost under the Patriot Act?”

I don’t find this offensive and yes, I’m okay with the Patriot Act. The TRUTH is that the government only listened to conversations originated outside the US coming into the US. Not email and not anyone taking someone’s laptop at the boarder.

BUT, I’d far rather have the US Government listening to calls originated outside the USA than being a common citizen and having Obama’s minions go through Government computers looking for dirt on me like poor Joe the Plumber!

      Katablog,

I’d feel a lot better if I knew that report WAS false. Do you have any source to verify it?

      Thanks.
