State of FL Attorney’s Office Releases 600 Pages of Documents in Casey Anthony Case … “it smells like something died in my car”
An amazing turn is evident from the Casey Anthony documents dump … from the outset Casey Anthony was preempting the fact that there was the smell of death in her vehicle. From the outset she was trying to justify the fact that she knew her trunk smelled like death and she needed a reason why. How could the Anthony family still believe that Caylee is alive and that Casey Anthony is not responsible for the disappearance of Caylee Anthony?
It’s death, no it’s a pizza, no it’s a squirrel
More documents have been released by the state in the case against missing Caylee Anthony’s mom, Casey Anthony. The newest document dump by investigators reveals some rather bizarre circumstances. According to released documents, Casey Anthony told her friend that “it smells like something died in my car”. Amazingly enough, Casey Anthony said her father George had hit a squirrel but had “gotten rid of it.”
Nine days after Caylee Anthony was last seen, her mother contacted a friend and said “it smells like something died in my car,” new documents released on Tuesday show.
Casey Anthony later told friend Amy Huzenga, “There’s definitely part of an animal plastered on my car,” according to a transcript of her interview with Orange County deputies.
Many of the documents are text messages and phone records, but they do include some investigator interviews, including with Casey Anthony’s brother, Lee, and her friend Amy Huzenga.
Hunzenga told deputies that Anthony said her father George had hit a squirrel but had “gotten rid of it.”
Nearly three weeks before deputies arrested the mother of missing Caylee Anthony, the 22-year-old admitted to a friend that her car smelled like death

Her friend Amy Huizenga said Cindy Anthony was worried when the tow company contacted her about the car that was hauled away from Amscot. The smell from the trunk was overpowering — like something had died. The parents initially couldn’t get it open because they didn’t have the keys. When they did open it, Cindy Anthony feared the worse. ” They were terrified it was either Casey or Caylee,” Huizenga said. “Because they had not talked to either of them. Because of the smell.”
In late June, Anthony talked to Huizenga about the “horrible smell” in her car and she couldn’t figure out the source. She said it smelled like something had died and the odor was coming from the engine. She told her friend that she thought her dad may have hit an animal when he borrowed her car. Days later, she told Huizenga that she found an animal “plastered” to the frame of her car.
Trunk Smelled Like Death … Blame it on the Squirrel.
And in other news from the case of missing Caylee Anthony, the reported sighting of Caylee Anthony at a McDonald’s in Tennessee, about 30 miles outside of Nashville turned out to be a false alarm. NO KIDDING … REALLY??? Maybe the sighting was that of a squirrel and not a little girl. Can we all just stop the BS of the Caylee sightings and come to the grim reality of what occurred. The sooner Cindy and George Anthony do this, the better it will be for everyone, especially little Caylee Anthony.

For those who say the Anthony family is nuttier than squirrel poop… here ya go.
I thought i heard it reported on NG, in the statements, Tony the BF reported having observed Casey having bad dreams and night sweats back when she slept there.
I’ve been wondering if we will get live court TV when this one goes to trial in November. I want to see justice done, although as much coverage as the case receives its almost becoming entertaining watching the Anthonys make jackasses out of themselves.
These discovery documents are UNBELIEVABLE !
I have NEVER read so many statements that
say this gal had some serious issues, as a Mother,
daughter, sister, and friend ! W O W !!
You know at first I felt sorry for the grandparents…but not anymore, it would seem the apple didn’t fall far from that tree. All the lies, and denials, and cover-ups from this family.
They all make me sick..protecting a woman who without a doubt killed her own child..their own interference has muddied the water. I don’t know how they can let her live in their home, without beating the truth out of her. If she was my daughter..she would be calling the police to arrest and protect her from me.
[...] Now Casey says she left Caylee with the babysitter for a month to look for a job in Tampa, FL and she blames the smell of death in her car on a squirrel. [...]
It’s seems they have forgot about the pityful helpless little girl that is invovled in this crazy mess. I just pray for some closure for all the people such as myself that haas been following the case. It seems like there is no end in sight to her lies. I pray that someone does have her and is taking good care of her. But it looks more blick everyday.
[...] Orlando authorities don’t believe Casey’s story. In typical defense attorney fashion, they state that Casey Anthony was referring to a different Zenaida Gonzalez. Of course she was, she was referring to the dead squirrel, no doubt. [...]
