What a joke … Edwards says he will take a paternity test while his co-conspirator/ex-mistress Reille Hunter states there will be no paternity test. All Edwards and Reille have effectively done is leave the unanswered Edwards baby daddy question open for interpretation and speculation. The National Enquirer has yet to be wrong on this story, so why should they be wrong now?
Why would anyone go to a hotel to see someone and their baby who they supposedly stopped an affair with in 2006? This is not new math or a trick question.
How convenient for John “Love Lips” Edwards and the Democratic party as Edwards ex-mistress Rielle Hunter rules out a paternity test for her child. Why would anyone want to know who the actual father is of her 5 month old. Maybe its because she and John Edwards both know who the father is and do not want his identity ever known. Ya think? Because every child wants to grow up never knowing who their actual father is. What a complete cop out as she lets Edwards off the hook. This whole baby daddy drama and attempt to keep the fathers identity an mystery is nothing more than a completely fabricated conspiracy, nothing more. Is it possible that Edwards as promised Rielle Hunter hush money to make this embarrassment go away? Come on folks lets just use some common sense and filter it with the fact that John Edwards has done nothing but lie about this story from the beginning.
She will not pester her ex-lover to take a DNA test to establish once and for all the paternity of her 5-month-old daughter, her lawyer said.
Hunter, 42, does not wish to take a genetic test “now or in the future,” attorney Robert Gordon said in a statement.
During an interview Friday in which he copped to the fling, Edwards said the “timing of events” indicate that the child, born on Feb. 27, 2008, could not be his.
“Happy to take a paternity test and would love to see it happen,” he said.
But Hunter’s stance is that she would prefer to “maintain her privacy and her daughter’s privacy,” Gordon said.
Reille Hunter rules out paternity test and will make no more public statements. She considers it a private matter. You have a lot more explaining to do. Ones that might involve campaign financing rules broken.
Rielle Hunter’s lawyer, Robert Gordon, says his client is a private individual who is not running for public office and that she wishes to maintain the privacy of her and her daughter.
“Rielle is therefore making no statement now or in the future,” Gordon said in a statement. “Furthermore, Rielle will not participate in DNA testing or any other invasion of her or her daughter’s privacy now or in the future.”
So all of this is supposed to just go away? Hardly. Oh contraire … if you think this is going away that easily you are a naive soul. Why did Dallas lawyer Fred Baron, who helped bankroll the former North Carolina senator’s presidential run pay for Edwards’ mistress to relocate? Why has Reille Hunter continually paid even after 2006?
In 2006, Mr. Edwards’ political action committee paid $100,000 in a four-month span to a newly formed firm run by Ms. Hunter, who directed the production of four Web videos showing Mr. Edwards in supposedly candid moments as well as in a speech talking about morality.
Mr. Edwards’ PAC followed the six-figure payment with two smaller payments totaling $14,461, the last on April 1, 2007.

John Edwards’ sex fling is news because Obama knew it to be true and still wanted him on the VP list. This is how government figures get blackmailed…of course, Edwards is already paying about $15000 in blackmail (via an associate) to keep Rielle from telling the truth to the world…you see, John is not the story, it’s about Elizabeth…Elizabeth Edwards was supposed to speak at the DNC in Denver…money was paid to suppress the scandal until after the convention…but, obviously, the National Enquirer paid better. Also, if Elizabeth knew in 2006, then why would Elizabeth subject the Democratic Party to such a risk by letting her fornicating husband run for the nomination…simple, Elizabeth did it to draw votes away from Hillary…how Elizabeth stole Hillary election is the real story.

I heard a reporter say when he worked on the hill this stuff and drinking went on all the time. I am sure we haven’t heard the half of it. Toooo much money and time on their hands instead of doing the people’s business. I don’t think I have ever been so turned off by politics as I have been the past couple years. Used to be a few with the voice of reason, you could turn to… Where have they all gone? They all want these “big boy” jobs, but want to act like 16 year olds. It’s really getting old watching it. Once again, in my mind the key issue isn’t that Edwards had an affair … something that I suspect isn’t unknown among politicians and non-politicians alike.
The issue is that he lied outright to the American people. He now sounds so contrite, telling the world how sorry he is.
Funny, it reminds me of all the mass murderers who are in court, facing the jury … butter wouldn’t melt in their mouths. So what? Where was their “remorse” when it counted?

Edwards was a leading contender for the presidency. If character means anything at all in our age, then his evident lacking of it speaks volumes. (Never mind the effect on his wife.)

(I fully agree that there seems something odd in the idea that Edwards is being flushed down the john for this while Bill Clinton, aka Monica’s lover and … well, let’s keep this clean … anyway, he still swims in public adulation, or thinks that he does. But I can’t help that.)

A British paper today carried a story saying that this paramour of John Edwards is known for her profligate drug use.
Once again, I ask … if Edwards isn’t the father, who is? Does the woman even know?

As for Obama (or anyone else) going after McCain’s military records/service…isn’t it the liberal media whores who slammed those who tried to bring Mr. Ketchup/Kerry’s own exagerated record to light? Said it should not be done and we should regard his service as honorable? Why all of a sudden is it DIFFERENT for them and they are free to do so to McCain?

Maybe she is afraid that if it is proved that Edwards is not the father … she’ll be missing out on the financial gravy train.
Another idea: if the evidence suggests that Edwards is indeed the father, could the kid later sue for slander?

What is the difference between Edward’s affair and MCBush’s affair? Both had wives with health problems but the fact of the matter is that Edward’s is still with his wife. I don’t condone eithers actions but to make Edwards sins worse than McBush’s is absurd.

As far as the paternity tests, he is pretty confident that it will not happen. He must know that it is not his or some way, legal or not, that he does not have to submit to a court ordered test.
