Change We Can Believe In … REV. JESSE JACKSON’S COMMENT TO OBAMA: ‘CUT HIS NUTS OUT’

Think Jesse Jackson wants to give up his spot at the head of the black activist Jesse_jackson_changetable? Not a chance. Think there is not some deep seeded resentment that Jackson never got the chance to be the first black President? Think people ever learn not to talk into a live mike? And now for something completely different. Obama supporter, Jesse Jackson, trashes Barack Obama … From the lips of Jesse Jackson, there is some change we can believe in.

Once again the old “live” hot microphone comes back to haunt a would be interviewee. The victim … Jesse Jackson. Obama has claimed that he was going to be the brunt of a racial attack during the Presidential election. Who knew that Obama would get attacked on race by of all people, Jesse Jackson? Revered Jesse Jackson apologized Wednesday for saying Barack Obama is “talking down to black people” during a taping at Fox News

Jackson, talking to CNN on Wednesday, said Obama has given what amounts to “lectures” at African-American churches.

“I said it can come off as speaking down to black people. The moral message must be a much broader message. What we need really is racial justice and urban policy and jobs and health care. There is a range of issues on the menu,” said Jackson, who was an acolyte of the slain civil rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr.

It would appear that he has a little bit more to apologize than that from what it seems Jackson actually said.

REV. JACKSON TRASH TALKS OBAMA: ‘CUT HIS N**S OUT’
Wed Jul 09 2008 16:28:20 ET

SHOCK: REV. JESSE JACKSON SLAMS OBAMA, WANTS TO ‘CUT HIS N**S OUT’… APOLOGIZES FOR ‘CRUDE AND HURTFUL COMMENTS’ CAUGHT ON TAPE… FOXNEWS WILL PLAY JACKSON TAPE IN ITS ENTIRETY TONIGHT ON ‘O’REILLY’ 8 PM ET/5 PM PT… (The Drudge Report)

HEAR IT FOR YOURSELF … WOW

Jesse Jackson apologizes for comments critical of Obama

According to Jackson, a Fox News microphone picked up comments he meant to deliver privately that seemed to disparage the presumptive Democratic nominee for appearing to lecture the black community on morality.

A simple and obviously honest comment made by Jesse Jackson against Barack Obama some how gets spun into a dissertation on on urban policy and racial disparity. Shore it was Jesse. We have always said that Jesse Jackson was about his power and wielding said power. Jackson will kick and scream all the way into obscurity and irrelevance.

This is a sound bite in a broader conversation about urban policy and racial disparities. I feel very distressed because I’m supportive of this campaign and with the senator, what he has done and is doing,” he said. “I said he comes down as speaking down to black people. The moral message must be a much broader message. What we need really is racial justice and urban policy and jobs and health care. That’s a range of issues on the menu.

“Then I said something I regret was crude. It was very private. And very much a sound bite,” he also said.

In a statement issued earlier Wednesday to CNN, Jackson said, “For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize. My support for Senator Obama’s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment.”

Over the course of the campaign season, Obama has at times directed criticism directly to the black community, most sharply in a Chicago speech on Father’s Day that criticized some men for failing in their duties as parents.

UPDATE I: NY POST: JESSE JACKSON SAYS HE WANTS TO CUT OBAMA’S ‘NUTS OUT’

In a vulgar tirade caught on tape by Fox News, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said he wanted to “cut his [Barack Obama's] nuts out” and he accused the fellow Chicagoan of “talking down to black folks” by giving moral lectures to African-Americans, source said Jackson’s shocking quotes were picked up by a hot mic before an interview on health care in Fox’s Chicago studio last Sunday

UPDATE II: More from the Jesse Jackson “”Wanna Cut His Nuts Off” Saga

It will be hard to spin this Jesse Jackson comment away. And after listening last night to the Reverend Jackson trying to do so I am still in complete wonderment at just want he said. Or tried to say.

Jackson relating Obama’s condescending qualities to faith based organizations is rather bizarre. It is one of the few things that Obama does not talk down to.

There is always a little truth in everything. The choise of words that Jackson used is rather telling and personal.

Think there is not some deep issues that Jesse has with Obama? Think again.

LOL, I keep hearing it today. I can’t stop laughing.

I heard O’Really has more from where that came from.

      Hahahahahaaa,

Suppose that President Bush had made that statement not knowing that the microphone was on, or even as a calculated joke.

What would the black churches be doing?
What would the national media be doing?
What would all the activist groups be doing?

Taking to the streets, besieging congressional offices, picketing the White House, and demanding resignation, impeachment, or both.

But it was Jesse Jackson who made the comment.

How much outrage do you see?

Question: What message do you derive from that?

My answer: The pressure groups seize on the tactical opportunities given them. When one of their own is involved … Ah, well, forget it.

isn’t Jesse Jackson a preacher, man of God, man of the cloth”? Yeah…riiiiight.

    5. nimrod on July 10th, 2008 9:04 am

If Jesse thought his mic was off, why whisper? He knew what he was doing.

    6. Rusty Bridges on July 10th, 2008 9:13 am

He wispered because he thought the mic wouldn’t pick it up or so others wouldn’t hear.

Kinda makes you wonder what he said and felt about Dr. King.

“Reverend” Jackson? What a joke. He and Sharpton are just a low-class opportunists who have been scamming a good living from the issue of race for years. The public sees that clearly, which is why Jackson’s bid for president way back when was such a monumental flop. Now Obama, with considerably more polish and way better credentials, is making a credible run for office.
      Sour grapes maybe, Jesse?
Dang, it must suck for Jackson to have to say he supports Obama, especially when Obama may succeed where he dismally, appropriately failed.

Jesse Jackson is just a Hustler who has made his
living and a good living at that out of exploiting black people

I am shocked at J. Jackson!!! When Obama first appeared on the scene, he seemed like a possibility to me, then a majority of black folks came on the networks and seemed really hostile (not all, but many) and they have just thrown cold water on a hot candidate, in my opinion.

    11. Rusty Bridges on July 10th, 2008 12:03 pm

SM, can we have a caption contest with the picture of Jackson next to Obama? It looks as though he has got Obamas jewels in a death grip and wispering the same words he is in trouble for.

      I think the pic was Photoshop’d, mannn…

Jessie has a little bit of jealousy. He missed his chance when he went in hiding from fear after mlk was assinated. He could have continued mlks work but no he was scared off. There is another point of Black Father also. He too left a child behind by haveing an out of wed lock child. So to me what was said stepped on his toes too. Me being a black woman, I feel what Obama said was a fact in our history. Our Fathers do need to come up. They now are still Fathering unclaimed children. I think they are afraid of child support payments. They dont want to pay but they want to be called DADDY.Obama you go on and keep up the good work we all need a change in every aspect of our lives and our country. Jessie set down and look at what you missed and enjoy the ride of a man who is willing to take a stand, just enjoy the ride and stand behind him.He is a real leader not just for blacks but for all mankind that god has put on this earth.

    17. Silver Fox on July 12th, 2008 11:46 pm

Jesse, go sit yourself down somewhere find that little girl of yours and be her long lost daddy. You made a complete fool of yourself and the Black race as a whole. Obama will finish the task you could not complete!! And how does this make you look now in lieu of those tasteless remarks, well I will tell you.. A BITTER OLD BLACK MAN WHO DID NOT CUT THE MUSTARD”. Now, you wish what the KKK did to thousands of Black Men be done to Obama, What a FOOL you have become, better yet, maybe that is what you always have been. Bet you have some colorful remarks about MLK before, during and after he died. Right.. Rev. Jackson
