Their father, Randy Sylvester Sr. is the prime suspect in the children’s disappearance and has been arrested.

Description of Children:

Randy Jr., who is 4-foot-1 and weighs 55 pounds, was wearing a blue-and-orange University of Florida Gators shirt, blue denim shorts and blue-and-white tennis shoes.

Denim is about 2 feet, 5 inches tall and was wearing pink shorts, pink flip-flop sandals and a pink T-shirt with brown trim. Her hair was braided and pulled back in a ponytail.

Sylvester Sr. was seen by a witness taking a black trunk and a blue Protege suitcase from his apartment.

The second item is a dark blue Protege brand canvas suitcase with black trim that is identical to the one depicted in the attached flyer. It is approximiately 40 inches in height, 20 inches in width, and 18 in depth. The suitcase has two wheels on the lower back and a retractable handle on top.

Officers took the children’s father, Randy Sylvester, in shackles to several locations on Thursday

Like in so many other cases of missing persons, Texas Equusearch is once again providing a volunteer army of searchers to help find Denim and Randy

The group at the Texas EquuSearch command post on Burke had doubled Thursday as a new contingent of volunteers and new recruits from the local community joined the effort.

At mid-noon, the searchers, divided into teams, listened as they received their assigned groups and routes.

With maps in hand, they prepared to spend their second afternoon until sundown combing the area.

Denim and Randy were last seen on June 15, 2008. Denim was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt, pink shorts, and pink flip flops. Randy was last seen wearing a blue and orange t-shirt, jean shorts, and white tennis shoes.

This makes me feel like crying. If true, these beautiful little ones are together with God now, so I’ll pray for comfort for those who loved them.

Saw the father on TV he looked and acted like he was on some serious drugs or just a real psycho. Definitely someone out of control. If he did them no harm he certainly had an unexplainable attitude, and the suitcases? God be with these little ones, I fear the worse.

Investigators say the remains of 7-year-old Randy Sylvester Jr. and his 3-year-old sister, Denim Sylvester, were found packed in a wooden chest and a suitcase and left in a wooded area in southeastern Houston, about 5 miles from their Pasadena home.

On Saturday, Pasadena PD Captain Bud Corbett and community activist Quanell X addressed the media. Corbett said that Sylvester led them straight to the scene where the bodies were and that he had been misleading searchers about the location earlier this week.

Where do all these “non-humans” come from? Charred ramains. There is no human explanation for someone capable of such a dispicable henious crime, his own children. Was it drugs? Was he ever human? Guess he couldn’t handle the sheer beauty and innocence of his own children. There are no words.

this is so so sad… it wasnt necessary to kill these kids.. perhaps he felt he had to get even with the mother who knows…or he was so high on drugs…. whatever reason is not good enough …. I hope they didnt suffer much and it was over with quickly
and yes richard they are in heaven with jesus and the father is here on earth where he will be held accountable for his actions… god give peace and comfort to the mother of these two children.. she must be so broken hearted after loosing her only two children…

so sad….but we take comfort in knowing that they sit with jesus in heaven!!!

    16. dee15 on June 23rd, 2008 1:25 pm

    17. MissKatie on June 23rd, 2008 5:12 pm
