HAPPY EASTER … Christ Died for the Forgiveness of Our Sins … Christ has Risen

HAPPY EASTER

Easter_eggs2

We hope all are having a very Happy Easter Sunday. Please remember while surrounded by family members today, participating in Easter egg hunts, receiving Easter bunnys and opening Easter baskets … the reason for the season.

Christ_Risen

It is a time of rebirth … Christ has risen. Risen Indeed!

(Above All: Michael W. Smith)

I  would be remiss if in an Easter post I did not reference one of my favorite blogger, The Anchoress.

Write’s Deacon Greg in his tremendous homily for the night:

Spring began just two days ago, but here, in this sacred space, it is already in full flower.

And we can only gaze at it in wonder and joy – sharing in some small way the wonder and joy of our heavenly Father, who “looked at everything he had made…and found it very good.”

The Pot Calling the Kettle Black … Obama Campaign Claims Clinton Has ‘Character Gap’

The Obama campaign is attacking Hillary Clinton’s character. They claim, she has a “character gap” which will make it “next to impossible” for her to win the general election. The Obama camp has all but come out and called her untrustworthy. Obama, I am not to sure if you want to get into a mug slinging contest with the Clintons. You will lose.

The campaign of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., delivered one of its harshest, most negative attacks yet today, asserting that Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., is lacking in character and regularly misleads voters.

“She is not seen as trustworthy by the American people,” said Obama campaign manager David Plouffe in a conference call with reporters this morning, citing a Gallup poll released this week indicating that only 44 percent of the American people consider Clinton “honest and trustworthy,” as opposed to 67 percent for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and 63 percent for Obama.

There was a time during the Democratic Primaries where Barack Obama could have gotten away with making such a statement and would have been correct. There was a time where everyone would have agreed. However, that time has past. Following the Reverend Wright racist anti-American comment fiasco and on the foot heels of the Rezco trial, and the “typical white person” comment Barack Obama may have his own Character Gap issues. Does Hillary Clinton have an honest issue? Yes she does. For some reason, Clinton feels the need to exaggerate anything that she may have ever done or taken part in.

However, Hillary Clinton is not the only one who has an issue when it comes to the voters. Barack Obama’s less than sincere explanation of why he has been a part of a church with such a militant, racist view on America will haunt him in the general election against John McCain, if Obama get that far. We will see in the up coming primaries in Pennsylvania, Indiana and North Carolina.

Who benefits from the Democratic blood bath called the Democratic Primaries, John McCain. Poll: Divisive Dem Contest Could Boost McCain.

Brian Kilmeade Walks Off FOX and FRIENDS Set in Dispute over Obama Bashing … More Humor than Statement

Discussing of “a typical white woman” leads to this on Fox and Friends … Its seems being called “typical” is not appreciated.

Its hard to imagine or take serious that Brian Kilmeade’s would really walk off the Fox and Friends TV set after so called Barack Obama bashing. After a heated discussion and being called “a typical sports guy,” Kilmeade stormed off the set and took his toys with him. It would appear from the antics that the morning crew, Gretchen Carlson,  Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade are famous for that this was more of a hyperbole gag than a walk out in protest.

Humor is one of the greatest ways to get one’s point across. That’s why at SM we do caption contests or in some cases write sarcastic commentaries. It would appear that some liberal blogs do not have a sense of humor. What a shock. Others seems to think the stunt was real.

WHAT DO YOU THINK … REAL OR FAKE?

Should we consider it serious or not. To me, it seems to be a faux protest. However, if it was truly real on Kilmeads part … KEEP WALKING.

UPDATE I: By the way Fox & Friends, not all the bloggers got the walking off the set stunt wrong. Only liberal bloggers like the Huffington Post et all who are void of any sense of humor and always look for the negative did.

Unlike liberal blogs, we get sarcasm.

Flying the Safe Friendly Skies of Aruba? Aruban Unions no longer going to guarantee the minimum staffing like Police & Air Traffic Control

As Spring Break and Easter weekend is upon us Aruban public employee unions are on strike and have gone against a recent judges ruling that they will no longer provide minimum staffing. What does that affect? Just minor and unimportant services like police, fire brigade, immigration, and air traffic control. Doesn’t that instill a warm safe feeling to those about to fly to Aruba.

ORANJESTAD – The public employees’ unions are no longer going to stick to their word before the judge last Friday.  They are no longer going to guarantee the minimum staffing of vital government services like police, fire brigade, immigration, and air traffic control.

According to spokesperson Hendrik Croes of Aruba Airport Authority (AAA), management has decided that in case the air traffic controllers walk out, they will redirect aircrafts with destination Aruba to the airports of Curacao and Bonaire.  “Despite the minimum staffing, the airport is at this moment not troubled by the strikes.  Only problem is that everybody that is present, must work extra hard.”

Other media reported yesterday that the minimum staffing does lead to obvious problems.  Because of that, two aircrafts arrived later than was scheduled.  Croes contradicts that:  “The reason was that yesterday, the airport of Curacao didn’t give clearance for departure when the aircrafts wanted to go.”

Nobody of the government was available this morning for comments on the announcement of the union to no longer guarantee minimum staffing.
