Beth: You know we’ve really tried to be so careful in Natalee’s investigation to stick with the known facts and it is a known fact that the only medical question that they did ask us, the only one question as far as medical issues, was does Natalee have a history of epilepsy or seizures and that was within the first 48 hours of her disappearance, so we just have to lay the facts out there and they kind of speak pretty loudly that if we hear that within 48 hours of her disappearance and we take it 2 1/2 years later and I think when I, not only just to hear Joran say this but I even see him imitate her body actions as she’s suffering, so I’m thinking you know, it’s hard not to put those two things together. I think Beth’s attornies are doing an excellent job of sectioning Beth’s public appearance statements. Since the confession tapes, she has focused on the Police questioning of Natalee’s medical history, and the obvious conclusion that Joran spilled the “choking-shaking” scenario within 48 hr of her disappearance, and they knoew it.
Whether anyone has followed this story almost 3 years or not, it’s plain to anyone even hearing all this for the first time, that there was a massive if not ill-advised Police coverup. That needs to be continually broadcast over & over. It will sink in even to Aruban corrupt officials. This may now be an important smoking gun.

Thanks to whoever tapes these shows for YouTube. Again last night I was unable to watch. Interesting Newsweek article too. Apparently de Vries things the Kalpoe brothers are not involved. If he means not involved in the actual murder and disposal of Natalee’s body, I think that’s possible.
But if he means “innocent”, I disagree. I think that Joran HAD to tell Deepak something the next night if not before. How would Deepak know the things he did (the girl is dead, your own father, you’ll get 15 years if they find the chit on that girl). It’s just strange that Deepak would run around with Joran that night after Natalee has been discovered missing.
The meetings with Paulus I can understand because Deepak probably saw that something was in this for him. I still believe Paulus had something to do with the 1/2 ownership in the Internet Cafe.
What I can’t explain is why Deepak hasn’t given it all up after spending some time in jail. He did immediately tell the guard that he was involved in their frame up.
Surely Deepak understands by now that Paulus doesn’t have near enough money to buy his silence – certainly not the money that Deepak could make by telling everything he knows to either DeVries or to several US news media outlets. It will be interesting to see Deepak’s lawyers next move after the Dr. Phil case ends (which I think will be soon since they apparently can’t produce the documents the judge is demanding). It’s unfortunately that his lawyers will take a bunch with whatever deal they swing next.
I feel quite certain that Deepak has enough to at least confirm Joran’s DeVries Confession. Certainly he seems to have some things on Paulus that would capture the world’s attention. What else do you have Deepak?
I should add that I also think Deepak knows that Natalee was slipped a drug. That would be very helpful information to investigators. Perhaps Deepak thinks his fore-knowledge will also get him and Satish in trouble?
If not, Deepak and or Satish have to be guilty of something that they remain silent. Wish we could convince them that someone can get them expert legal help if they simply spill the beans.

ABC did show the part of Joran imitating Natalee’s shaking of seizures. Maybe there was more than just that.
Brie, Geraldo is an attorney himself and I think he was only playing devil’s advocate. 40K is not a lot for 60 mo. work and especially since he had day/night work.
It matters a lot how much he was paid. If Peter had given him a few million, for example, it would call into question Patrick’s motive and then perhaps people would say there must have been entrapment etc. Millions is a lot of motivation. 40K for 6 mo. is very reasonable, if not low. It certainly speaks to Patrick’s motivation as a father wanting to get the goods on Joran.
As for Anita, it is really pathetic, to say the least. There is a lot of information to be gleened from her brief statments. Three years ago for one girl comes to mind. It’s as if she sees no more value due to the fact that her son only killed one person and for the fact that it was so long ago.
The part where she claims going on Pauw & Witteman was a mistake caught my eye as well. Joran’s crimes against Natalee pre-date their TV appearance by years and yet she blames all this on making a mistake going on the show. Did she think Peter was so mad about the wine that it motivated him to catch her darling Joran?
Anita, my friend, the mistake was made by your son and his friends once he made the decision to drug, rape and murder an innocent girl. And, for once can we say her name instead of “the girl?”

I still think the Kalpoes were involved in the drugging/raping part. Even if they were only there when Joran did the crime, they’re culpable. Well, maybe not under Aruban law. I’ve always believed they booked when Natalee didn’t come to and someone else came to help Joran.
Anita is in denial. Joran has had several opportunities to get his side of the story out there in the U.S. and Netherlands. She had a lengthy interview with Kimberly Guilfoyle. Joe Tacopina is on tv regularly saying there’s no evidence, false accusations, yada yada. Still, she says the media portrays it in a one-sided manner. She can’t understand why we think her son is guilty because she can’t face what he really is. That’s how Joran has gotten away with so much in his life. Like many in Aruba, they thought the media coverage and their problems would go away. They want to dismiss it like they did Max DeVries, Amy Bradley and Bud Larsen. Not going to happen this time, Anita.

As for Anita van der Scum, what else CAN she say? It seems obvious that nobody in that family has a shred of decency … and she’ll continue to whine in her fantasy world about the way Joran is mistreated (hey, lady, he said what he said under no duress). She isn’t worth spitting on.
And for the Kalpoes … seems to me there’s one and only one reason that PvdScum paid for their lawyer at first. And that isn’t because he’s a decent concerned person.
He wanted to make sure that he was in control of their defense … the person who pays the bills makes the calls and runs things.
Why would he do that if they were innocent?
I don’t know how much of Joran’s confession we can rely on, but I’m certain that the Kalpoes were involved in assaulting Natalee, if not disposing of the body.
I’m also wondering if it’s the best thing now for Beth to go on TV shows with the likes of Geraldo Rivera. My idea is that she ought to … well, be a bit more selective. I can’t imagine that anyone takes the likes of Rivera seriously.
It’s up to her, of course, and we’ll continue to support her and the family until we get answers and justice for Natalee.

One of the sorry judges was stationed in the higher court of appeals in case the prosecutor appealed decisions in order for prosecution. He blocked it there, I am thinking. One blocked in the lower courts and one stationed in the higher appeals court. They are into some bad stuff, those people, worse probably than we can imagine.
