The introduction to his book Joran wrote that he won’t find peace until the case is solved. De Vries sneers and is telling the viewers that he has been doubting Joran’s statements since the beginning, and this is why he has set up the hidden camera action.
Patrick van der Eem claims to have been his friend the last few years, played poker with him, and bought him marijuana (legal in Holland.) They were mates, having done things that sound illegal.

Natalee Holloway Update 23; Joran knows something. Where the body is, who killed her, etc. Justice department ‘idiots’ says van der Sloot
After his release Joran stayed on Aruba for a month. On the 9th of January he returns to Holland and makes an appointment with van der Eem. They outfitted van der Eem’s range rover with three cameras and a ‘track and tracer’ system. So that de Vries and his producers can follow him everywhere.
Live Footage now. Joran is bragging about a fight he had with someone in the holiday inn in casino. His father has already arranged for a settlement. Joran is talking about his father ‘arranging’ his release.
‘I didn’t say shit. They have nothing on me anymore. Even if they find her body with my sperm in it, they can’t do shit. they’re fucking idiots.” Joran is negative about the Aruban justice department. Claims that his father wanted the Pauw en Witteman interview to get higher damages. (the same episode with the wine throwing)

Natalee Holloway Update 22; Patrick van der Eem’s background and how he got the confession.
Patrick van der Eem is being interviewed by Peter R. De Vries. Apparently he met Joran at the poker table in Arnhem, at a tournament. He called him ‘Maton’, Pidgin for Murderer, jokingly. He pretended to be his friend, won his trust. Patrick van der Eem claims that it wasn’t hard to betray him. ‘Her mother deserves an honest answer. He had this coming.’
He avoided talking about the case, and started communicating with De Vries. He started doing small-time criminal odd-jobs for van der Eem, who pretended to be a very big marijuanan dealer/grower.
Wednesday the 21st of November they prepared van der Eem’s car for taping. Unfortunately, Joran was re-arrested before they could tape him. The department of Justice tried, but failed to crack Joran’s cool. They had to let him go. But, as soon as there is new evidence, they are allowed to reopen.
Joran’s release on the 7th of December has only made him bolder. But now, De Vries’ cameras are watching everything. Footage is shown of Joran calling van der Eem and bragging about not saying anything in Aruban dialect.

Based upon this, Aruban law cannot prosceute mental defectives. The worse they can mete out is a few months of “observation”.
Too much time is being wasted on this person. An alternate solution to ajudicate this travesty is clearly required.

poor beth, my heart goes to her. this poor young american girl, having fun at graduation and she met up with a disgusting monster. aruba has to do something now, this can not be overlooked or not considered evidence enough, if she died accidentally which i doubt, she was probably drugged why would an innocent person dispose of the body. he is guilty.
Likely, Joran substituted names. Which means ALE will use that as an excuse to not investigate at all.
I guarantee Hans Mos hasn’t even bothered to check the logs from that pay phone to see who Joran actually called, hasn’t interrogated that person, hasn’t impounded or searched that person’s boat, and hasn’t even bothered to recover Joran’s sneakers.
Obviously he didn’t care about Natalee at all, so why did he phone a friend and went back to her?

Daury is already been cleared by the ALE apparently. It’s been revealed at Equivation Nation that they have confirmed that this man was in school in Holland at the time of the murder.
Once again it’s necessary to pick out the lies from the truth. I believe we have the details as to what happened to Natalee’s body, but I don’t think she just “died”. I still believe Joran left out drugging her. I go back and forth about the Kalpoes – if they had nothing to tell, they simply couldn’t rat Joran out – why then why did they clean out their car at night?
The boat thing is probably true, but details revised to cover up for it being one of the Gottboes (never spell their name right). Because Joran’s description perfectly fits what he’s said before and what the kid said in return about Joran. This is where Mos should go – can he be extradited?
The one thing for sure that this tape reveals is the character not only of Joran but also of Paulus van der Sloot. (apple doesn’t fall far from the tree). They are even more disgusting than we thought. I trust the van der Sloots will now be persona non gratis in Aruba.

Lisa I am with you.. I think there is truth’s admit the lies.. As for the Kalpoes, what did they mean when they told Joran , he would get 15 years if they find her? What did they mean when they said if they find the girl they will see that chit..? Why did Hans Mos say they had chat sessions of these 3, talking about getting female American tourist girls and what they planned to do with them? How does it fit in.. Remember Deepak said in one of his statements, that they have all been in the same room together having sex with tourists. I don’t buy that Natalee just up and died,, and someone came and got rid of her. Why? Why not get help? She could’ve been in a coma? Though one knows there are people in this world without any remourse, it is always sickening to see somebody talk the way Joram van der Sloot did. Talking about Nathalie as a piece of meat, to be dispoused of, with satisfaction and joy in his eyes….discusting. As Ms Twitty said, his living hell will be starting now and I am sure the most of my fellow countrymen will see to it, that he will loose the joy of living. I for one will do so (starting tomorrow) by sending an email to our Prime Minister, MInister of Justice and party leaders in Parliament and demanding as a citizen, that they will do everything in their power to bring this animal to justice. Hello, I am from Holland and I watched the show carefully. I think that he has told the truth but there were some things that he said that i don`t believe. He said that a friend called Daury dumped Natalee in the sea with his boat. Joran has already left to his house. But Daury wasn`t on the island of Aruba at the moment that Natalee disappeared. There must be somebody else who helped Joran with the disappearing of Natalee`s body, because he first said that he couldn`t say the name because he would take the name of this person with him to his grafe. My opinion is that he gave Natalee some drugs, so she would come with him to have sex. But because she has drunk a lot, she would have go into a coma or died. On that moment, Joran didn`t knew what to do and called his friend. If he had called the police, they would see him as the killer of Natalee. His friend(s) said that Joran should go to his house and they would have dumped her body where nobody could find him. I would say: Please put that stupid maniac in a prison and don`t let him come free. It was very sick to hear how he was talking about that innocent girl.
I am glad to see other people thinking this is not all and not all the pieces are fitting. One fact for sure is Paulus, Joran are both liars and probably psychopaths, rapists.
In all his statements he can not implicate the Kalpoes-rapists any longer. Because they will now tell about Paulus’s involvement(sexual pervert) and how they left her alive. They never told before because they probably raped Natalee. Paulus warned them they would go to jail.

So one solid fact has been established here … the person who Joran named as his collaborator in disposing of Natalee’s body, in the ocean, wasn’t in Aruba at the time.
Joran may or may not have remembered that, or even known that, when giving this ‘confession’ … but he certainly would have known the person or persons who helped dispose of the body (assuming that he DID do that and had help).
So can anyone come up with a reasonable answer? Why would he name as his ‘helper’ someone who the police obviously would check out?
Again, do you think he’s trying to set up grounds to be declared mentally incompetent on reason of insanity? Or has he actually gone over the brink?

I’ve checked computer records of 1998 and 2005 of people registered in Aruba.
In 1998, there is a Daury Daniel Rodriguez, born on June 28, 1986 and living in Oranjestad. So he was really 18 years old on May 31, 2005.
But in the records of 2005, his name really does not appear. It must be true that he went to the Netherlands.
So who helped him dump the body? I have only 2 possibility: (1) Steve Croes who could have used the Dingy of Tattoo Party Boat. I just saw him this afternoon in Carnaval, walking nervously and like a slimeball. (2) Paulus himself. Nearly every dutch residing in Aruba knows one or two people with boats here. Also the Hadicurari Pier isn’t far away, and it’s easy to “borrow/steal” a boat, and return it later without anyone noticing.
BUT… BUT… Remember Dompig bluffing that the Guarda Nos Costa had a Radar and the area west of Aruba was captured on Harddisk, and they did not capture any “boat movements” that evening and early morning?

Investigative judge reopens inquiry against J. v.d. S. but refuses pretrial detention; prosecutor plans appeal
The investigative judge found that secretly taped conversations and video between J.v.d.S and a third person were sufficient reason to reopen the judicial inquiry against J.v.d.S by January 30, 2008.
However, the judge held that the tapes handed over to the Public Prosecutor by the Dutch crime reporter Pieter R. de Vries, were insufficient to order additional pre trial detention.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office will appeal the judge’s ruling on pre trial detention.
On January 20, 2008 De Vries showed a part of his material to two public prosecutors. The tapes show the moments on which J.v.d. S. tells his version of events for the first time to a third party and tells his story of the fate of Natalee Holloway on May 30, 2005. The contents of the tapess and the way J.v.d.S. ultimately tells his story create the impression with the Office, that this version of events could come close to the truth.
The Office responded positive to the question of De Vries whether the Office could use and would like to use his material. This is in conformity with the end of last year’s statement that the Office will investigate every clue to the case. The Public Prosecutor’s Office regards the material of a serious nature.
Hence the Office did not await the broadcasting of the program which had been announced by De Vries for February, 3rd, 2008, but acted speedily by requesting the reopening of the judicial inquiry by the investigative judge, which was granted by him.
Before requesting the judge to reopen the investigation, the Public Prosecutor wanted to review additional tapes that were recorded during this operation. This process to verify and validate the tapes was done on January 25th and 26th 2008. By February 1st the Office received the final materials.
It’s important to note that neither the Public Prosecutor Office or the Police has had any involvement with the activities of De Vries. Nor any influence on him or his team. In our view the material can be used for the purpose of the investigation.
The Office finds that the story of J.v.d.S corroborates to a large extent the results of the investigation to date. Despite the fact that the Office values the statements by J.v.d.S. properly, the Office is obliged to proceed judiciously. Confession evidence always requires a more thorough investigation.
It may be the case that in the eyes of the public the disappearance of Natalee Holloway has been solved by J.v.d.S.’s statements presented in the crime program of Peter R. de Vries. However, while video tape may present a strong case in a tv news show, it may be insufficient for a finding of guilt by a Judge. It is up to the Court to evaluate the materials and the statements, and to find out their significance in relation to other results of the investigation. It is not the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s position to refer in any way to the guilty question: that is for the Court. Apart from this again there is a big difference between the reality of a courtroom and the reality of television screen.
In summary, on Friday, February 1st the Public Prosecutor requested in the wake of the new materials the investigative judge to order the pretrial detention of J.v.d.S. The judge denied the request reasoning that the new materials did not meet his threshold for a new pretrial detention, a threshold he put very high because of earlier multiple arrests and pretrial detention periods concerning this suspect.
This means that the Office is legally not able to have J.v.d.S. arrested in the Netherlands.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office will appeal that decision.
The Office of the Public Prosecution and the police will continue their investigation into the story by J.v.d.S. The investigation will not be limited to Aruba. All materials put at our disposal by Peter R. de Vries will be checked and double checked. Forensic scientists will be asked to investigate and give their opinion on the physical condition of Natalee Holloway, before, during and after the time she spent on the beach with J.v.d.S., as he claims.
On Monday February 4th 2008 at 12.00 there will be a pressconference, held in the government pressroom in Oranjestad.

Van der Sloot has been arrested twice, that’s why the judge sets very strict rules for a new arrest.
The confession is not enough for the judge.
Since 20 january De Vries has shown three times the confession footage to the judge/prosecutors at Aruba.
After that the investigation was reopened on 29 januari.

I believe part of his story.. Natalee walked out of Carlos n Charlies,, on her own, talking to her friends and said she was going back to the HI with the other MB students.. that is not someone who is overdosed on alcohol to the point of a coma. Read the behaviour of someone who is at the point of being overdosed on alcohol.. I also believe he was there when she died.. what I don’t believe is how she died or who was involved afterwards.

Natalee Holloway was brought to the Sloot compound where she was savaged. Aruban Law Enforcement, the judiciary, and justice officials intentionally distanced Paulus from his crimes.
Paulus was out at 4:00am. Paulus gave Joran a ride home. Paulus stopped by an ATM to pay someone to get rid of the body. The body was left on the beach for someone to pick up. Either the bedwetter, or the alibi man (Steve Croes) assisted with the disposal.
Joran’s story gives the basic truth of what happened but doesn’t drill down into details. He had been told a billion times by Paulus not to talk to anyone…but he couldn’t help himself. He laid out the story…changing some of the players out in order to somewhat stay within Paulus’ orders about keeping his mouth shut.

Tattoo Party Boat has a new owner. Perri van Dongen purchased the Tattoo party boat from previous owner Marcus Wiggins (Aruba Adventures). Perri, having worked for Aruba Adventure for a while, moved on to open a broker’s agency and his first client was Tattoo. Aruba Adventures now operate “Mi Dushi” and the party buses, known as Kukoo Kunuku Paranda Tours.
Yellow Submarine is the new sunset to starlight dinner cruise 3 deck catamaran motor boat. It features a main deck with bar, an under sea level lower deck with dinning room and view of the underwater marine life, while the upper deck offers a great view of the coast line of Aruba. It departs Monday through Saturday from 5pm to 9pm from the Hadicurari Fishing Pier. The cruise has 2 stops and include open bar, snacks and dinner for a price of $65 per person. Why isn’t anybody critical about the boat solution? It has been shown (by Maggie) that all boats were accounted for that night, or was that an assumption. To me and a lot of people on the islands the ocean was the only plausible way to dispose of her without anybody finding her again.

Dompig told almost as many lies as Joran. Though I tend to agree that the story has not been as complicated at some thought.
I do believe Natalee was raped. I’m totally uncommitted on what part Satish and Deepak played because their actions speak of guilt. At the same time, Joran is all about randomly tossing his finger on someone and not caring what price they pay. IF that were true, Kalpoes should be suing the van der Sloots.
However, the part about Joran paying people off (of course this is really Paulus paying people off) makes me wonder what kind of money the Kalpoes received and for what.
I believe it’s Koen who had the boat. His actions speak to it; his father’s actions (moving) point to it. And to me the biggest clue is what Koen says in his statement about Joran – which is almost verbatim to what Joran says in his confession tape. I do believe he just named a name.
I also wonder about Paulus being involved with disposition of Natalee’s body because Koen wouldn’t be worried about Joran’s school the next day. That’s a parent comment. I am certain that Paulus and Anita have known from early on that Joran was responsible for Natalee’s death.
Even Han Mos says he’s surprised about what Paulus and Anita said about Joran’s upbringing because the police records say differently.

Why did Deepak tell the guards , the Dutch guy and his father sat around the pool with them and made up the Holiday Inn lie? Joran used that lie the night Beth showed up, so the lie would have, had to been made up before it was public she was missing. Deepak says Joran got sand in his car from the beach, Joran says he wasn’t in the car after he was let off..

But Dr. Ruben Cruz, the head of the island’s search and rescue team showed 48 Hours that an unweighted body thrown overboard near the shore would wash up on the beach.
Cruz says he and his team have tossed a dummy overboard many times, but that in every case, it drifted back to shore. The only way that wouldn’t happen is if a boat sailed more than two miles offshore — a trip that would have turned up on police radar and been captured on tape.
Police have accounted for every boat in the water the night Natalee vanished.

In addition, unless there was indeed a storm brewing at the time the perps cast off to take her into deepwater, those familar with water knows that in evenings there is generally less wind, and as a result calmer surgface water.
As you may know, it’s only rougher as you move along the shoreline towards the California lighthouse (the point) and around to the “rough side” of the Island. I think the reference to it being rough was to deflect the reasoning of the size of the boat involved with taking Natalee deep.

Because I had learned from third parties that “M” was a dangerous robber, I contacted with my portofoon (walkie talkie?) the guard who was monitoring at the Curacao Tower and told him to look out because “M” was in the vicinity. A couple minutes later saw I that “M” and the slim white man returned products in beside the “Iguana bar” stood. We have not had a transmission from Tim or Kyle on the Persistence since Friday. I’d like to believe unannounced progress is being made. I also would just love for them to retrieve a crab cage with remains, and non-disintegrated large sized sneakers. I hope everyone is aware that if Natalee was partially dismembered so she could fit into the cage, once the package was tossed overboard, body fluids and blood would attract ocean preditors. However, whatever is found would be a blessing.
The judges down there in Aruba ? They all look like they belong in the old folks home. Seriously

Someone mentioned Joran was smoking several reefers while doing all this talking. If that’s true, then good lord! You guys have been around people smoking pot I’m sure. His story could be full of his own imagination of what he wished had gone on…stuff that would have made him happy or feeling cool like a monster!, and talking all grandiose like he thinks of himself.
Of course his reefer story would be born of truth…that he was involved in herneed for disappearance but not the actual disappearance. Other than that, I don’t see where any of what he said is to be taken at face value.
I’m glad they are not going to rearrest him right now. He needs to be out there walking around getting madder by the minute that he is not getting attention from being in jail where he can continue to treat the cops like they are stupid.
Joran does think everyone is stupid. His parents he especially thinks are stupid because he played them on a daily basis…more than he has ever had the opportunity to play anyone else….except the world at large over his involvement in Natalee’s disappearance.
If Joran went to jail just now he’d be happy! Let him rot out in the public wondering who else he might should not talk to. He’ll feel like Osama bin Laden for a while, then he’ll start to get bored act out.
I hope the investigation is kept close to the vest, or better yet laced with misinformation that might expose whoever is leaking things to Joran (and Paulus) so he can stay ahead of the game.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands – Hidden camera footage broadcast in the Netherlands on Sunday showed Dutch student Joran Van der Sloot saying he was with Natalee Holloway when she collapsed on a beach in Aruba. He said he believed she was dead and asked a friend to dump her body in the sea.

A series of conversations between Van der Sloot and a man he believed to be his friend were recorded in a Range Rover that had been rigged with three hidden cameras by Peter R. de Vries, a Dutch television crime reporter. They were shown on Dutch television.
Last week, Van der Sloot said he was lying in those conversations and denied that he had anything to do with the Alabama teenager’s disappearance.
Holloway, 18, vanished in May 2005 just before she was due to fly home to Alabama, at the end of her high school graduation trip to the Caribbean island. No trace of her has been found. The mystery of her disappearance has frustrated authorities and garnered wide attention on television and in tabloid newspapers in Europe and the United States.
In the recordings, Van der Sloot said Holloway was drunk and that she began shaking and slumped down on the beach as the pair were making out.
“Suddenly she started shaking and then she didn’t say anything,” Van der Sloot said, adding that he did not kill her.
“I would never murder a girl,” he said.
He said he panicked and tried but failed to revive her. He said that Holloway looked dead but that he could not be sure she was not still alive when the friend took her away.
He used a pay phone next to a hotel’s swimming pool to call the friend and asked for help in disposing the body. When the friend arrived at the beach, the two put Holloway’s body into a boat. The friend then took it out to sea and pushed it into the water, Van der Sloot said.
“The ocean is big,” he added.
He said he and his friend agreed that Van der Sloot would go to school the next day to avoid arousing any suspicion.
Van der Sloot said his friend assured him he had taken care of Holloway’s body and that the police were not going to locate it. “They will know nothing,” Van der Sloot quoted the friend as telling him.
“I’ve not lost any sleep over this,” he added at one point.
Aruban prosecutors said last week they were reopening their investigation into Holloway’s disappearance after seeing De Vries’ material. But on Sunday, they said a judge on the island had ruled that while the information merited an investigation against Van der Sloot, it did not meet the threshold for an arrest warrant.
“This means that the office is legally not able to have J.v.d.S. arrested in the Netherlands,” prosecutors said in a statement, referring to the Dutch student by his initials. The statement did not say when the judge made the ruling.
The prosecutors said they would appeal the judge’s ruling and seek to have the Dutch student re-arrested. They also cautioned that the Holloway mystery was far from resolved.
“While video tape may present a strong case in a TV news show, it may be insufficient for a finding of guilt by a judge. It is up to the court to evaluate the materials and the statements, and to find out their significance,” prosecutors said.
Van der Sloot was interviewed last week by the respected Dutch television show “Pauw & Witteman” following reports that De Vries had captured him making statements about the case.
“It is true I told someone. Everybody will see it Sunday,” Van der Sloot said, referring to De Vries’ planned television show.
“That is what he wanted to hear, so I told him what he wanted to hear,” Van der Sloot said, adding that he had built up a relationship with the man he spoke to, but had never fully trusted him.
De Vries has said he paid the man Van der Sloot spoke to, Patrick van der Eem, $37,000 for his help, saying it was to cover his expenses.
Phone calls seeking comment from Van der Sloot’s Aruban attorneys and his New York-based lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, went unanswered Sunday.
Last week, Tacopina told The Associated Press that “the evidence refutes what Joran supposedly said.”
“It doesn’t change the truth of this case. And the truth is, Joran had nothing to do with Natalee’s death,” he said.
Holloway, of Mountain Brook, Ala., was last seen in public leaving a bar with Van der Sloot and two Surinamese brothers — Deepak and Satish Kalpoe — hours before she was due to board a flight home.
The three were re-arrested in November, but released within weeks for lack of evidence. All three have always denied any role in her disappearance.
The Dutch student’s father, Paul Van der Sloot, declined to comment when reached in Aruba before the tape aired.
De Vries also aired images of Holloway’s mother, Beth Twitty, as he showed her the footage.
Clasping together her hands, she moved her lips silently as she watched the images.
“They could have just dumped her alive in the ocean, unconscious,” she said. “They don’t even know.”
“I hope his living hell is about to begin and that he never gets another night’s sleep,” she added.

If you want to take her deep, than just go straight out from Mariott (direction of Venezuela) like Joran said in the confession tapes. I hope you’re right about him cracking, but I doubt it. I think the best bet is identiftying the accomplice and turn him on him.

Someone better tell Oduber to issue a public apology to the family, and Beth in particular. It seems that most of us agree that Joran is lying, in part or more, in his ‘confession.’ He named as an accomplice someone who was studying in the Netherlands at the time. And I don’t for a second believe that the Kalpoes weren’t involved … we have heard too much from them … or that he was so ‘concerned’ about Natalee.
But whatever our ideas … let’s work TOGETHER and show up at the Boston, New York, and later tourism efforts by Aruba Tourism Authority.
Think of it: Aruba says there’s not even enough evidence in Joran’s tape for an arrest.

Van der Straaten is police chief in Bonaire. The B in ABC, population 14000.. As far as I know. Amy Bradley was already missing from the Cruiseship before it docked in Curacao. I hear nothing about that case here anymore. The rumor that an American officer saw her in a brothel, that later burned down has low credibility. (Only brothel I know that burned down was called Stellaris, which was well known here) An american girl in a brothel here would have all the alarm bells ringing. Also, 99% of the prostitutes are latinas. These prostitutes don’t allow any other prostitutes (like Europeans). (The make their competitions lives imposible).
I was studying in Holland at that time 1998 and I actually only heard of the case when the Holloway case started.
About the recent events, they had J2K arrested not too long ago and had to release him due to lack of evidence. I think ALE’s next step would be to scrutinise and investigate all the information on the tape and fill in the holes, find the accomplice etc. Then with all that evidence a judge will allow for an arrest.
To me, the tape looks great! But everyone here
is already speculating that it will not hold in court because the evidence was gathered unlawfuly.

ing (#191) … Thanks for your reply. However, there are some inaccuracies. The cruise ship put out the propaganda line that Amy disappeared out at sea. In reality, she was seen going to a secluded place on the ship just before it docked.
Also, the American petty officer whose credibility you decry passed a polygraph examination administered by the FBI. That might not be conclusive proof, of course, but it can’t be dismissed with a wave of the hand.
There were several reported sightings of Amy Bradley on Curacao in an apparent situation of duress. The significance of the petty officer’s encounter was that it was the first (the first known to me, anyway) where she specifically identified herself by name and asked for help.
By the way, the “brothel” was actually a seedy waterfront hotel, apparently disused for some time. The Bradleys went there and confirmed that it had burned down … nobody would tell them more, but they saw the burned structure themselves.

Yes, the Brothel was a waterfront hotel, but you couldn’t really book a room, because the prostitutes where living in it. It was called Stellaris. Also, most brothels have an official Hotel license, since there is no brothel license. By law prostitution is not allowed, however in some places, it is, “gedoogd”. This means that officials don’t act on it, but neither support it. This is so, if things go out of hand, they can act with the full support of the law. The area, (Otrabanda) wasn’t to great at that time, but since a Dutch investor started a hotel and an museum in the area, things have really turned around and it’s beautiful now.
I know the brothel in question, I’ve been there when it was still in use. (It was also a bar)
The place where the brothel was is still empty.
If the petty officer was here on R&R, usually they have plenty to drink. I’m not saying this one had, but if he trully believed he saw Amy, I think that he might have misunderstood or misinterpreted.
You must understand that the prostitution here is not “hidden”, it is very open. Girls from latin America, black, blond any other color work here. Businesswise it would be a totally stupid endevour to kidnap an American tourist and force her into prostitution. For the people who run these brothels, Latina girls are “easy money”.
This island is small, these brothels are very public places, where a lot of people go, not to engage in prostitution but just to drink a beer.
Most people here, do not believe that she ever set foot on the island. The official reading is that she vanished during the docking procedure.
The docking procedure starts pretty far from the coast. The cruisliner is approached by a couple pilot boats who guide her in.
In the dark if she (fell/was thrown) overboard, I doubt that she would make it to shore that the boats would see her.
(I personally have been passed by motorboats on the water during the day on the ocean, in distress waving and screaming but they never saw me.(I was rescued when my friends started looking for me)
Also, given the current even a very good swimmer might not make it especially if she’d panicked..
As with the N.H case, I’ve always tried to explain the situation on these islands the way I experience it, but a lot of times people just have an image in their head and there is no way I can change that. This is not directed at you, but reading back my comments, I realise how strange and inmoral the situation above must sound to people who are not used to Dutch libaralism.
Check the phone records on that public phone by the Marriott where he said he made the call to his supposedly friend Daury to help him out with the body (I think he meant to say Paulus (his father): oops) The nightmare has just begun for them.
