We are finally seeing media coverage where Van der Sloot attorney is not controlling the interviews. At this point he can control nothing, including his client. Gone are the single Joe Tacopina interviews or Tacopina having the last word. With spinning and media control gone, Joe is left with nothing more than little credibility and a guilty client.
Joe Tacopina tries to use the concept of “False Confession” as to why Joran Van der Sloot made the comments of implicating himself in the death and disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Now Joran says, “he lied”. What we are seeing is a defense attorney grasping at pathetic straws trying to defend a guilty client. To hear Joe Tacopina go crazy when Geraldo makes the comment that Joran gave Natalee the drugs is worth the watch.

Let me assure you Chris, the American public cares more for Natalee, than listening to Hillary spouting off about health care, or Obama diss’ing her as a carpetbagger who’s only claim to fame was that she didn’t smash her husband in the face on TV when he took advantage of an intern girl for a sex act in the oval office.

Joran and Taco are 2 peas in a pod. Joran acts out his sociopath’s behavior and Taco refrains his, except for mouth.
Joe is a very dumb man, not stupid, but downright dumb. Any intelligent attorney would immediately recuse himself from a case if his defendant is some loose cannon who can’t keep his mouth shut.
I just listened to the tape. Instead of Joran now talking the way Joe used to; Joe is now stuttering like Joran always did.

Why doesn’t the Prosecutor in Aruba go and act immediately? Because De Vries DID NOT give all the information yet. So even the Law Enforcement people has to sit and watch the show tonight.
Now it was revealed that the undercover cameraman got 5.000 Euro per month, and that’s a good thing, right? His total winnings was 25.000 Euro. Why was this brought up? Maybe from the Joran defenders, they wanted to cry foul? But even Joran was paid 5.000 Euro to appear on the show with the wine-glass incident.
Now De Vries also made comments about Joran recent denial, and excuse for lying again about the Natalee killing. According to De Vries, Joran again spoke in a way to inacurattely show that he was “pressured” to admit. But it could not be any other way, because he would then confirm his story. What he said in the phone interview was the only way for JOran to defend himself.

WOW! What an exciting Sunday….so much to root for. At 4:30 pm we watch Joran, the pig, confess to his involvement in murder and cover up. Then at 6:30 pm we watch the battle for pigskin bragging rights. It doesn’t get better.

After viewing the De Vries tapes,Beth has publically stated that she accepts Natalee is no longer alive, and the 1% hope she held out is gone. I fully expect her to denounce and reveal all of the details how corrupt Aruban government officials treated her for almost 3 years, her family, the lack of help, phoney searches, inept Polis leads, and blame her for Natalee’s disappearance to boot. There is nothing to hold back any longer Beth, now it’s time to show ARUBA for what it is.
I truly hope she does that, and at least one cable TV program carrys it across America. If there was any doubt of the sweep-it-under-the-table attitude of ARUBA that somehow is still unknown to the world (I doubt that), then it’s time to broadcast it and crush the sandpigs like unwanted clam shells.

Joran sounds like he is running uphill; he’s practically panting. His heart is racing, I am sure of it. Have a listen. His grandma is on the tape too and sounds so comfortable, casually putting Joran on the phone.
The neverending question…..why is Joe even involved?
Could it possibly be that Joe is being held on retainer in case Joran is sued in US court for wrongful death?
If so, then Joe must think there is a chance Joran will be found guilty of a crime in Aruba.
I’m not sure how all this international legal stuff goes, but it just seems to me that an American citizen has some rights to at least civil justice against a citizen of a foreign country.
That cruise ship where the husband went missing on the honeymoon….the US gov’t has asked for a review of some sort about how ‘crimes’ were investigated on ships. The idea is to insure American citizens get proper attention to justice if something should go foul. I would think, as many on here have said many times, the US gov’t would get involved in how Aruba takes care of justice for American citizens vacationing there too! At least an investigation should have been done….and if that showed what we seem to see with this case, that Aruba cares more for covering up a crime against an American citizen than being fair toward Americans, then they should issue a warning not to go there!
I realize ‘when in Rome’ pretty much holds to individual countries’ laws such that a country can arrest an American who breaks another country’s laws no matter that the American had no idea a law was in place. But the US has stepped in to work to help the unaware American get some relief from that country’s penalties. So where is the US when one of their own has been the victim of a crime in a foreign land?
Well, back to the cruise ship and the US interest in proper investigative actions to insure the rights of Americans as they have come to enjoy them at home. Why is the US not demanding the same consideration from Aruba?
This case has let Joran and his pappa make a complete mockery of interest in justice. It has made a mockery of even the notion that ‘two heads are better than one’. By that I mean they have let One head -Joran’s- dictate everything about this case! THey have let Joran lead the way for going on 3 years now! When will they ever decide to take the lead in this investigation? What are they waiting for?

We know why…because there was most likely evidence of rape, GHB, or trauma to her body. If it was truly a accident this case would have been over years ago.

Joran, mom, pops, and probably granny too are so devoid of morals or any speck of a conscious it actually deserves some attention. How about the younger siblings in the Sloot clan? What are they capable of? How large IS the extended Sloot clan? What are their held positions in government IF others ARE in such places? What type of corruption is running rampant under their watch?
One thing I say for certain is although Natalee’s death is a horrific crime, often these things do bring forth something good. In this case, it prevented a crooked man (daddy sloot) from becoming a judge on the island which would have allowed Joran’s fun and games to continue. Who knows how much worse the drug/sex slave trade would have been under papa sloots judicial watch??? He’d have been allowing who knows what!
Also…prevented alot of innocent people from going to that terrible island where they may also have become victims and find their families going through what Nat’s family has.
Lastly, has helped bring awareness to the fact we are NOT safe in other countries for the most part and not under the same American laws by any means. We are on our own so to speak.
Although I am quite sad for what Natalee’s loved one have and will continue to endure, I appreciate their persistance as it has brought light to alot of “dark areas” that needed to be brought out for the seeing.

Nope. Paulus didn’t become a judge because Paulus didn’t pass the test! At least everything I’ve heard, it had nothing to do with the “delicious sporter”. Perhaps there was an ethics part to the test and “no body, no case” was a failing answer.
Can you imagine the stupidity of Aruban officials who sit around at a lunch table in town, basking in sun and imagine they are insulated from the outside world? They think they are protected from microscopic examination by the world. In order for Joe to say Joran had 100% nothing to do with Natalee’s fate and what happened, he would have to know who did. He sounds like he has rabies. Lost track of how many lies he has told on tv. Remember the one where he said Joran has only told 2 lies or something like that? lol 2 lies per sentence maybe.. Joran came out to say Natalee wasn’t drunk, next day Joe is on tv saying Natalee was over the top drunk. Nice lawyer eh? He places Joran home on the pc, before Joran even says he got home. He told us a few weeks ago Joran was exonerated. By who? Last I knew the 3 were still the main persons. Another reason why I don’t like him is why did he inject himself in this high profile case pro bono, and then admit a fund was set up for him. He is not even legally able to practice in Dutch territory, what’s in it for him Money & Media attention!? There are plenty of poor people in America who can’t afford attorneys and need defending, that haven’t lied 299999999999999990000000 times. Why isn’t he out working for them pro bono? Let’s hope that Tacopino will be eternally tarred by his association with unsavory clients. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work that way….
As for what ARUBA wants, who gives a damn? I know what I want; answers for Natalee’s family, and then concerted efforts to destroy Aruba’s tourist business, at least its tourism from the United States … which has provided 80% of its business.
Anyone else agree? If so, remember: from day one, the moneyed interests, those who thrive from tourism to Aruba, have decried any efforts to boycott Aruba. They have labeled it an ‘isolated case’ and have continued to steer the sheep there.
Many of us have been engaged in the case, and in promoting the boycott, for years. This is the best that we now can do for Natalee.
Let’s resolve, here and now, to stay the course.

I had my best laugh of the week watching Taco on FOX Saturday!! Squirming is so unbecoming Joe!
After watching a short segment of the show last night I was certain that Joran was speaking the truth and not telling Patrick what Patrick wanted to hear.
I am a physician so the story sounds like Natalie had a seizure episode during the romantic moment. When Joran was telling van der eem that Natalie was shaking he had no idea that it was actually a seizure. Van der eem had to explain it to him that it was seizure like and asked Joran if Natalie was foaming out of her mouth. Joran replied that she wasn’t. Now, if Joran claims that he was just telling van der eem what he wanted to hear then I am sure that Joran would have said that Natalie was foaming to go along with van der eem.
I believe what happens was that Natalie had a post-ictal episode, in which a person become unresponsive after a seizure. That person however would still be alive. He killed her and he probably drugged her till she had seizure.
This is what I see. A group of guys that live in Aruba and prey on mostly tourists. They drug them and rape or molest them. I wouldn’t be surprised if they tape them. Joran overdosed a small girl that was already drunk and he killed her. He knew that if they found her, it would be discovered that he raped or molested her and she was drugged with an illegal drug (date rape)that he or one of his ‘friends’ put in her drink. I believe that they all know that she was drugged. I will bet there are more victims that didn’t die and maybe some that did. I will bet that there are porn tapes probably circulating Holland and many other places that reveal other girls that were in a similar predicament. It would be nice if the victims would come forward. They should check all Casinos and anywhere else that would have security tapes of these losers together. I will bet even Daury and the 2 brothers are involved in at least the drugging part of other victims. It wouldn’t surprise me if the dad was involved. Didn’t he lie about his whereabouts that night too? Perhaps he tried to clean up another one of his brats messes. The mom looks like a victim of father and son. She enables the situation. When Joran touches her and the cameras are rolling, it looks like he doesn’t even know how to. He isn’t capable of hugging his mother in a sincere way. Jorans parents should be proud. This kid has to drug girls in order to score. He kills one and could care a less to see her parents digging holes to find her. Searching for any part of their daughter. There is no compassion…nothing. Good job mom and dad. That undercover operation is exactly what I would have done. BUT, I would have waited a little longer. I would have tried to get out of him why she really died. I think Joran didn’t include that part in his story because he wasn’t sure yet how far he could go with his new friend. They picked the wrong girl that night. They have probably never known a mother that would never give up. Beth Twitty, you are awesome!
