Peter: In this picture we can see it was taken at Natalee’s home, and apparrently it has Joran with Natalee on it. And that of course is impossible, because they had never met there. And this is a picture that was made… with Joran knowing it, and maybe even photoshopped for Joran… where the impression was made of them being there together willingly and knowingly. And then you wonder…. well let’s say, I don’t see very much sense of sympathy in there. If you do that knowing that the girl is still missing, her mother desperate, you saying you have nothing to do with it, and at the same time making this kind of photoshop humor…

Pauw: Where did you get this picture?

Peter: It was placed into my hands by someone who was involved in this.

Pauw: Joran, you recognize that picture?

Joran: I know that picture, yes.

Pauw: You write about it in your book as well. What’s the idea behind that picture?

Joran: Yes… I didn’t do it myself, but it was a joke of course. Yes it was actually a joke. And now that you bring that up this way, it indeed looks very strange… But the only way to get through all this, is to sometimes make jokes about it. Because for me this whole thing often is ridiculous.

Peter: Making jokes about the victim?

Well, between the Kalpoes’ admission Joran did beat Natalee to death, in addition to the fact she was drugged and rather than die of the drug…woke up sooner than expected…we really don’t need any more facts. Do we? Sadder still is that the K2s knew what was happening and did nothing. No shred of manhood in any one of the people involved from Daddy Sloot down to those who simply “know” and say nothing.

So…Aruba is “tired” of this? Yup, so are we. We want the TRUTH and JUSTICE. THAT is what we are tired of waiting for. Suppose Aruba just wants us to shrud our collective shoulders and not remember how deeply the corruption flows? What if one of our own loved ones, or ourselves goes to your sad little island and winds up “missing”? We see what will happen. NOthing!

    3. brie on January 14th, 2008 12:40 pm

#2…Brenda…if the Kalpoes admitted that Joran beat Natalee to death, then the prosecutor could call them in as witnesses. Now that they are no longer suspects they can be questioned as witnesses and it’s a crime if you lie. They can reopen this case with new evidence or witnesses.

    4. brie on January 14th, 2008 1:02 pm

Joran is no longer a suspect…so let’s hear about I will tell you someday, along with Paulus, but not now…with a statement like that you are claiming to be a witness and you have information. So let’s proceed!!!!

Peter go for it! Along with the Hans Mos. You now have suspects claiming to be witnesses!

    5. brie on January 14th, 2008 1:20 pm

I also read where Joran through someone through a plate glass window last year in Aruba..but they said there were no police reports…Paulus took care of that!

Anita said the the Arubans are supportive of the family…then why were you worried recently why Joran walked to store with his brother! We know better! If you believe the decent people of Aruba support you….you are deadly wrong!!!!

    6. Sharon Chicago on January 14th, 2008 1:27 pm

The Arubans read Jossy M.’s Disario newspaper and they know that it all does not add up and would be avoiding/shunning the Vandersloots.

    7. brenda on January 14th, 2008 2:33 pm

      Brie,

I thought only the case was being closed but the 3 were still “suspects”? Did that change or did I misunderstand??

    8. 10061906 on January 14th, 2008 2:44 pm

      I would do anything to protect my son;
      I helped him dispose of Natalee’s body to protect him;
Therefore I would do anything to protect myself.

      Joran has seen and can describe Natalee’s underwear;
      Anita can describe Natalee’s underwear;
Therefore Anita has seen Natalee’s underwear.

    9. 10061906 on January 14th, 2008 5:55 pm

Accordingly; Dr Hodges graphically describes how Natalee was victimized, raped and died from choking. Earlier in an interview with Greta, Joran was asked if sex was on his mind when he was with Natalee. He said that was his first intention. She never followed with what would be your second intention. We will never know.
If that was his first intention, what would they have done when they were finished with Natalee had she survived this brutal assault? She would have had severe body trauma and a possible head wound. She would have been naked, bruised and bleeding. If they left her alive on the beach; then she could identify her assailants.
Natalee had to die and in my book that would be premeditated murder. The whole scenario was planned by rehearsing with other tourist to play out what was needed for the final play of the game. Paulus made sure there was no body for no case.

My question is how did they know before hand that they would get away with kidnapping, rape and murder? Was someone betting on this game, betting on the outcome? Betting on a cover up?

My only objection to Dr. Hodges’ description would be the change of vehicles. The back of a subcompact I don’t believe is big enough to do what they did to Natalee. A mattress on the back of a pick up truck would prove more spacious. There was a bloody mattress that had to be disposed of along with foam, tape, glasses, bottle of liquid, leather belt and VCB sport shirt.

To those who think that there is no more interest in this case, you should know that both the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune reported on this story in today’s papers.

      Justice for Natalee Holloway!

    11. Richard on January 14th, 2008 7:33 pm

Let’s hope that the media interest continues, not only when dramatic incidents such as throwing wine give a “good story.”

If only somebody would realize that this tragedy is relevant to EVERY American who travels abroad.

And I hope that none would be so idiotic as to go to Aruba. Boycott Aruba; it’s only common sense.

    12. LilPuma on January 14th, 2008 7:38 pm

I have this image of Dana interviewing Joran in person, on Scared Monkeys Radio. Joran throws a drink in Dana’s face and his law enforcement instincts kick in. He’s been assaulted and Joran ends up on the floor being cuffed and fussing at Dana while Dana holds him down. A patrol car comes to put Joran in a jail where the police don’t care about Daddy. He is charged with assaulting an officer. Anita cries “no, not again and again and again! It’s all Beth’s fault”. She takes her hand out of her blouse and calls the KIA and they hang up on her, telling her this ain’t Kansas, sweetie. Or Canada. Dana and Mike on Crime do a series of shows on sociopaths and drugging and raping women, often using Joran as a prime example. Clint van Zandt comments on the mentality of people like him. Meanwhile, Joran gets in a scrape with Canadian police because he wants his Daddy before he goes to see the Judge. Bo Dietl shows up to bail Joran out……….fade to black.

    13. Ralph on January 14th, 2008 7:40 pm

The Oprah show will push it over the top. I hope she recommends Dr. Hodges’ book, “Into the Deep.”

You know a lot about this case and that is why I am directing this to you…

Correct me if I’m wrong here.

I have been re-reading through the transcripts and have noted that Joran lied in police reports about a very, very important thing.

First it was Deepak that picked him up and brought him home, then it was Satish. Which one was it, according to Joran? My notes are scrambled. He seemed to have contradicted himself in the same interview?

Secondly, did they go to the lighthouse or not? (guess it’s according to who’s statement you are reading?)

How did Joran know that Natalee’s room was on the ground floor of the HI?

Something is very wrong here. I cannot believe that all three of these suspects are not in jail.

Does Beth have any recourse here? With the FBI? Is anyone really investigating this?

      This is an outrage.

I am all for the boycott! However, to ensure that this case NEVER goes away, I think we should all go to Aruba on the 3rd year anniversary (and every year thereafter)of Natalee’s disappearance in PROTEST! We should wear T-shirts with her picture on them! We should find a way to continually remind the tourist, Aruba, the van der Sloot’s and the K brothers that NATALEE WILL EVER BE FORGOTTEN!

      JUSTICE FOR NATALEE – FOREVER!

I wonder if Joe T will be on tonight defending his “sweet, sweet boy” to all of America? I can’t believe that he would allow Joran to sit for that interview, but then again, Joran does what he wants. If Joe T is really his lawyer I wouldn’t brag about it. He has no control over Joran.

      Justice for Natalee Holloway!

    18. 10061906 on January 14th, 2008 9:35 pm

      carol armstrong 14:
      I’ll try.
He said Satish picked him up . He heard the noise from Deepak’s car. Satish asked about the girl. Joran said he left her on the beach. Fuk the bitch says Satish, etc.
Deepak says that Joran walked home and phoned him that he arrived.
Joran also says that Satish and Deepak picked him up. Joran also said that Deepak went back to the girl and had two dogs. The lies are so thick you need a jack hammer.

According to Deepak’s police statement. When I arrived at Arishi I stopped the car, because I had to pee. I then got back in the car and drove in the direction of the Lighthouse. (No one ever asks which lighthouse) (There are two, North the California and South the Colorado though much less impressive.
When I drove past I said here we are, this is the lighthouse. A local guard reported that he did not see them at the California lighthouse.

Natalee’s room. He could have gotten it from when Beth arrived she first stayed in Natalee’s room. But she moved to the Wyndrim because she felt she was being watched.
I feel it was because Natalee and her roommates were moved to that room because it had hidden cameras. That room was closed for renovations shortly after Natalee disappeared. I have a few pictures of Geoff Cromvoirt posing in the Holiday Inn guests rooms. I do not know which ones. Remember Geoff was a beach security guard for VCB. The girls reported that someone with a dark uniform tried to open their patio door. The security guards are dressed in black like ninji. VCB had the contract for the security cameras at the HI and Excelsior. Willeim van Cromvoirt says he got the contracts after Natalee disappeared. I have a web ad that shows he had those contracts prior to Natalee disappearing.

The FBI is treating Natalee’s case as a homicide.

      I hope that helped.

      Kudos to 10061906!

Reading through the transcripts, Deepak sure does have to pee a lot! Does he have bladder problems?

    22. Richard on January 15th, 2008 12:21 am

Some people also opine that when Deepak stopped the car, just after Natalee had gotten in, at a bar down the street and rushed in, he did so because of physical needs.

Does this make sense? We know that they stopped at the bar, because Natalee’s cousin was watching.

Deepak ran in, and came out a few minutes later.

This is the bar of which the bartender later was found dead in the tourist cave in Aruba, minus his arms and legs. (Some sources say other appendages, exclusive to a man, were also missing.) And his body had been burned.

Of course, Aruba’s finest said he died of a cocaine overdose.

But getting back to Deepak … methinks he ran into the bar not for physical reasons, but rather to give a signal. The question is: to whom?

    23. Richard on January 15th, 2008 12:23 am

10061096, remember too that Paulus said he picked up Joran at 4 am. Then, somehow, the time was changed to 11 pm. Aruba’s finest never picked up on that, but Beth did.

Strictly a rumor but I read on another blog that Dave Holloway may have joined Persistence in their deep water search. Before the expedition he indicated that he would not join in the search for obvious reasons but would be kept abreast from his home in Mississippi.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? God, I hope they find her!

Sorry to bug everyone with another message but Dr. Hodges also promised an update, including images of the Aruban geography, to support his theories. I have been checking for several days and there is nothing.

Anyone know if he’s flown to Aruba again?

      http://forensicthoughtprints.com/default.aspx?200819

    28. Jo-Marie on January 15th, 2008 2:50 am

Just what DID happen to Natalee? Aside from the likelihood that this poor girl is no longer with us, even her parents are left without an answer.

If I were one of her parents, I would find it offensive that “would-be” detectives think it is appropriate to use the media to speculate on exactly how she died.

    29. Real on January 15th, 2008 6:15 am

Like everybody else, Joran is innocent until proven guilty !

A crime reporter does not make a judge in the Netherlands nor in Aruba !

    30. brie on January 15th, 2008 8:12 am

Another theory after reading forensic thought prints, maybe Deepak did drop them off at the beach and Joran took Natalee to the Gottenbos boat. The boat probably has been used before for raping girls by all of them. Natalee may died on the boat. It was docked between the Marriott and the Holiday Inn and not far at all from fisherman’s huts. Joran made a phone call to Sander, Koen and Freddy showed up, Paulus withdrew the money for the gas. They picked up the crab cage and went out to sea. Rocks were readily available for weighting down the cage.

Could be that’s why Sander’s phone was missing and Koen knowing he participated wet his pajamas.

There also was a picture of Joran on someone’s boat, probably the Gottenbos boat, with a girl lying on top of him. So, girls have been taken there before.

    31. brie on January 15th, 2008 8:48 am

The Gottenbos father knows that Sander and Koen are also guilty, so he got them off the island.

I don’t believe the ALE ever searched the boat. But the boys were given ample time to clean up and remove any evidence.

      I enjoyed that one!

    35. 10061906 on January 15th, 2008 10:46 am

I ran into an old acquaintance today who knows my interest in the Natalee Holloway case. She asked me if I saw on the news the video clip of Joran throwing the wine.
She said a real anger management problem that the Van der Sloots raised.
However; this I did not know. She told me that she had a cruise booked prior to Natalee’s disappearance which was scheduled for May 2006. Although she did not want the lay over in Aruba the cruise had been booked and paid.
      She mentioned how bad tourism was a year later and the Arubans were doing everything to blame what had happened to their economy on the victim. It was her fault. Not Joran. Not Deepak. Not Satish. Not Paulus. Not Van der Straaten. Not the coverup;
BUT NATALEE, the victim. What warped mentalities. These people are definitely brainwashed and scared of any reprisal from the government.
I read that there were insufficient funds to pay the rent on the Parliament building and the Bank may evict them. Maybe they can meet at the Vander Sloots since Joran isn’t there. Or maybe the Cybernet Café or even the Lion’s Den. Perhaps Posner will let them use the conference rooms at the Holiday Inn.
So contrary to what news comes from Aruba, the volunteer boycott is working. Yes, they are still blaming their poor economy on Natalee.
Well guess what Aruba; it is going to get worse.
If Valley Forge was any indication, the lack of interest in Aruba is gaining strength.
Unless you come clean and prosecute those responsible; Aruba, as a tourist Mecca will be nothing but a fading memory.

    36. LilPuma on January 15th, 2008 11:08 am

      29. Real. When criticized about this case, many Arubans have said “What about OJ?” He was found ‘not guilty’ in a U.S. court of law. Do you think he’s innocent?

    37. JusticeforNatalee on January 15th, 2008 1:15 pm

      #15 Carol,

It’s really great to have another dedicated Natalee supporter on the blog.

That is a good idea you have, but why give Aruba any tourists?
      (meaning ourselves)

Besides, in Aruba, we would not have the same rights as we do in the US.

So–it’s better to do the protesting in the States–several protests have been done already at various travel shows.

We are permitted to conduct peaceful protests/educational campaigns in the US.
These campaigns keep Natalee’s case in focus and also warn tourists about Aruba.

If you live anywhere near Boston on NY—two major events are coming up the end of Feb. All work is volunteer but very rewarding.

At the shows, there are usually Natalee/Justice banners, signs, flyers, buttons, other giveaways to promote the message: “Natalee deserves justice.” All of the volunteers also wear Natalee shirts.

There are lots of pics of these events in the forum. All campaigns have been very successful.

So, if you want to attend or help in this regard, contact Vicki@JusticeforNatalee@gmail.com

    38. brie on January 15th, 2008 2:19 pm

#15….Carol…I think it would be impressive if Aruba and their tourists saw a large group of American’s protesting the disappearance of Natalee. But we would probably get arrested, put in jail and there would be no one to help us. Secondly I doubt if we would feel very safe as a protesting group. The Ale and the Aruban authorities would probably have plans for us.

But don’t ever give in on submitting your comments or ideas…nice to have you aboard!

    43. Betsy on January 15th, 2008 7:45 pm

I have a small interesting piece of news to share. I am in medical sales and we are currently having an International Sales Meeting. Randomly, I sat beside a man at lunch who covers the Carribean. I asked if Aruba was part of his territory, of course, and he said, “YES.”

Naturally, I brought up the case. He acknowledged that the dent in tourism income is significant. He does not call on the hospital currently because they have no cash flow to purchase new equipment. He said the boycott is most certainly having an impact. He also said that there is definitely a very huge drug trade there and that it is a throughput for the drug lords in Columbia.

In closing, he said that it is no secret amongst locals in Aruba that this case was tampered with and evidence was “lost.” I told him that Aruba will be paying for this for a very long time. He agreed.

Talk at meetings, talk anywhere where people will listen. Five people sitting at the table with us had not followed the case in a long time. Suddenly, there is interest. I gave them the site for Persistence, told them about Oprah tomorrow and of course, I informed all of them about Joran’s wine-y episode and anger management issues.

Keep up the great work SM and thanks!

    44. Richard on January 15th, 2008 10:54 pm

Thanks for that comment, Betsy. As we know, arms trafficking, drug trafficking, and human trafficking are all linked together.
