The charges must be serious enough against the three that Joran’s attorneys are now putting up an offense against the (Unknown charges). I don’t know why they keep calling Tacopina Joran’s defense attorney. He cannot practice law on Aruba. Read the friggen’ laws governing practicing law on Aruba. He is a scum bag that picked the wrong side.
What is black and lies in the middle of the road? No not a tar strip; just snake tacopina.
BTW where are the Kalpoe’s attorneys?
      My guess for evidence.
Natalee’s clothing, a bracelet, some DNA or photos of Natalee at Joran’s.
However none are these are conclusive for a prosecution. Only reinforces they were together.
      Someone talked???????????????
NO::: None of the above. It is now time, economically that Aruba put Natalee’s case to rest. Two and one half years is sufficient time to analyze all of the blogs and determine which story most will accept.
All but where is Natalee, Paulus? What did you do with Natalee to protect your son?
Boy how I hate to use Natalee and Paulus in the same sentence.

I listened to her this morning.

Rosie said they do not have any evidence that a crime has happened. Then said we don’t know what the new eviidence is. OK Rosie what is it?

I hate lawyer talk..double talk. Just think when these ppl get in court room. I now know that they try to totally confuse the jury so they can’t make a responsible decision.

I bet Rose is spending thanksgiving with her family. I wonder Rose how do you think Beth and Dave feel today, their daughter Natalee is not there today?

Folks that have followed this from the beginning know that the authorities have thrown head fake after head fake. Raising everyone’s hopes only to have a judge create an order, reverse an order; a prosecutor that provides cover for Paulus; Releasing suspects on news days where they could fly under the radar; etc.

Most importantly, the VDS family already is coming out with a different story than the media regarding “arrests”. We have had this treatment many times — the media and officials say one thing and the VDS’s say another — and in the end the VDS’s seemed to have an inside line on what was actually happening (recall Paulus announcing immediately upon the search of the property that ‘nothing was found’ and he and Joran having a good chuckle over it).

When Paulus fries I will rest. Until that time I see this leading to more disappointment.

I am afraid that they may use these charges to bring to trial and get a not guilty and then it’s done.

Yep, until they find out who disposed of Natalee
these could be trumped charges to end the story for Aruba. How ever someone said they saw on a dutch blog that a fourth arrest is in the makings.

    10. Crioyo (the original aruban sleeper-cell) on November 22nd, 2007 1:50 pm

I don’t think they’re going to cause all this commotion just for fun. Tacopina & Co are trying to dumb it all down a bit as usual. Quite frankly how could they even be ”arrested” without new evidence. I don’t believe anything Taco & Co have to say.

    11. Kat_Gram on November 22nd, 2007 1:54 pm

      A fourth arrest… I saw that.
My guesses are probably the same as yours :
Steve Croes / or ” Marco “. There was a reason
that ” Marco ” had such a hi priced lawyer.
My wish is for Paulus Van Der Sloot to be the next. Maybe Santa will listen and give me what I want for Christmas.

    12. EURobert on November 22nd, 2007 2:17 pm

Just on Dutch SBS6 ‘Hart van Nederland’-news:

-Joran probably tomorrow will be going to Aruba; he first had to be brought to a court/judge in the NL’s
-He was pretty upset (ANGRY) with his arrest! Mother said they thought it would all be over at the end of the year and she thinks this is all an act/play of Aruban Just. Off. and trying to catch at a last straw.
      - At Aruba they can expect heavy interrogations and probably a reconstruction/re-enactment of what happened.

    13. Patti on November 22nd, 2007 2:18 pm

      I have Hope…

There are more arrests coming, one after another.

It’s for real this time and there is no question

of who will remain in power of Aruba when it’s

done. A civilized government that protects it’s

people, it’s allies and it’s visitors.

      Hope

I didn’t realize that the statute of limitations for involuntary manslaughter is set to expire at the end of this year, so if they are going to charge any of the three for that crime, time is running out fast. What is the statute of limitations for voluntary manslaughter? Probably a little longer but not indefinite. The fact that all this is transpiring so soon before the involuntary manslaughter SOL deadline lends weight to Joran’s lawyer’s claims that the charge is for involuntary manslaughter — at least for one of the three men. I don’t think the new information that has come to light has anything to do with the searches of the homes last Spring — too much time has passed. They would have acted long before now if they had found something back then.

I hope Joe Taco’s flunky, Rosemary Arnold, is wrong about this being a last ditch effort before the SOL runs out. This had better be more than agressive interrogation. I’m praying that the Dutch team has actually discovered new evidence. How can Anita live with herself knowing what her little monster has done? How can any of them live with it? How can they not be sickened with guilt and fear? How can their friends and families eat dinner with them or sleep in the room next to them? What kind of person becomes a new friend to these rapists and murderers? Vigilante justice anyone? I know, I know, how undemocratic of me. I just can’t stand it that so many are going on with their meaningless lives after taking one with so much promise. J & PVDS, the K2 and the rest of the accomplices will contribute nothing to society for the rest of their lives. I hope they are miserable and afflicted with the most horrific ailments known to man for their part in Natalee’s murder and disappearance, and for attacking her character and family. May they all rot in hell.

    18. Patti on November 22nd, 2007 4:21 pm

I think they took their time because they were not only investigating the kidnapping and murder of Natalee but the corruption within the Justice Department, as well. There may have been some very difficult tests to be run to find dna as well as investigating anything new that popped up. It may have been one of the bones that has recently been found that tied things together, or it may have been having to follow the dirty money that financed the crime and it’s cover up that was difficult.

The Dutch are not going to allow their good name to be tied into the activity that went on in Aruba between May 30, 2005 and June 12. Although, it may not seem a long period to cover, it would take hours to interview the Dutch and Aruban officers that were working Aruba at the time.

Just in Dutch RTL 4 news a remark from the judge that approved of the extradition of JvdS: this time the Public Pros. must succesfully proceed with their investigations and prosecution. After that they’re not allowed to further bother JvdS.

Main suspect in Holloway case re-arrested in Netherlands
Published on Thursday, November 22, 2007

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AFP): The main suspect in the 2005 disappearance of US teenager Natalee Holloway on the Caribbean island of Aruba was arrested Wednesday in the Netherlands, prosecutors said.

      Natalee Holloway
Joran van der Sloot, 20, spent three months in jail in Aruba while being questioned over Holloway’s disappearance, before being released due to a lack of evidence.

He was arrested in the Dutch city of Arnhem at the request of the authorities in Aruba, prosecutors said.

Van der Sloot has always been considered the main suspect in the investigation as he was one of the last people to have seen her alive.

Holloway, an 18-year-old from Alabama, was last seen early on May 30, 2005 after a week spent vacationing on the 75-square-mile Dutch-ruled island with about 100 schoolmates celebrating their high school graduation.

She was to have boarded a plane home to the city of Birmingham, Alabama hours later, but never returned to her hotel after a night out at a bar with friends and some of their local acquaintances.

Police found her packed suitcase, cell phone and passport by the door of her hotel room. No body has been found.

the statute of limitations running out, yeah right. Even for a simple shoplifting the statute only runs out after three years (misdemeanors have a statute of limitations after three years).

For all other more serious crimes the statute of limitations are as follows:

six years for felony crimes not carrying a penalty of more than three years maximum

twelve years for felony crimes carrying a penalte of more than three years maximum

twenty years for felony crimes carrying a penalty of more that 10 years maximum

for crimes carrying life in prison there is no statute of limitations

The crimes Joran is being suspected of have a penalty (maximum) of anywhere between 6 years to life so fer this stuck up person to say that the statute of limitations runs out is total BS.

The only thing that would run out is their official title as suspects.

    23. Allan on November 22nd, 2007 7:02 pm

Well Posner is Mafia organized. Mafia moved in Aruba
some years ago. Taco is a mafia lawyer which would explain his affiliation with Joran. Paulus an attorney would be associated with other corrupt officials and attorneys that supports the defense of mafia hoodlums. I guess they needed a corrupt US attorney to stand in Joran’s corner. Would they be that dumb to think anybody would believe Taco on anything.

Anyway there will be another suicide soon, with suicide note or nothing will happen, all show.

Nieuw bewijsmateriaal verdwijning Holloway – Broers Kalpoe en Joran opnieuw aangehouden (New proof material disappearance Holloway brothers Kalpoe and Joran apprehended again)

Joe T doth protest too much. He is not Joran’s lawyer as they keep introducing him on tv. He WAS Joran’s lawyer for the NY civil suit that was thrown out. He is not licensed to practice in Aruba or Holland. I’ve read he charges up to $500 an hour. Who is paying these lawyers?

One of my favorites of Joe T is this one. Where he was suing a bar that Immette St. Guillen was last seen in and found murdered by it. They put a predator in the mix and didn’t come clean and gave false and misleading statements to the police, that is even a bigger offense. Depends on who’s paying his bill as to what he says huh?

Certainly the family has hired a mediagenic attorney: Joseph Tacopina, who is also representing disgraced Post gossip columnist Jared Paul Stern.

But Tocapina insists Imette’s mom Maureen St. Guillen isn’t in it for the money, and says the family’s main aim was to “pursue legislative change, so that Imette doesn’t die in vain.”

“It’s our position that the owners [of the Falls] are certainly culpable,” Tacopina said, without naming names. “They hired somebody who has a felony record and put a predator into the mix. Then they violated the law again when they didn’t come clean with the police, and gave false and misleading statements,” Tacopina added, referring to Daniel Dorrian. “That to me is an even bigger offense.”

    27. Maggie on November 22nd, 2007 8:31 pm

Robert? Does that mean if they don’t prosecute Joran this time and later on they find evidence against him, they can’t charge him then? I totally believe thise 3 know exactly what happened to Natalee. There is lots of circumstantial evidence against these 3 plus Paulus.

It amazes me that nothing has changed since May 2005, people’s opinions are still the same.
And boycotting Aruba still seems the right thing to do.(??)
It is a shame, people here are really closed minded and choose not to see the case from any other perspective
but their own. You are all entitled to your own opinion, fine. (and I do too)
But most of you never went to Aruba and judging us this way (all of Aruba) for cowards, snakes and pigs (wild indians??) because
of the Natalee Holloway case is unnecessary.
I agree the Natalee Holloway case is long overdue and errors (big ones!!) had been made.(we are only human, like you; imperfect)
That Aruba needed help from the beginning (duh!), first major mistake; (wanting to solve this case on our own), yet letting the FBI do the whole
investigation would also be wrong (Dutch jurisdiction). We are an island, a very small one and handling a big case like this has proved impossible,
the Netherlands had to be brought way sooner into the investigation. (it might have not gone so out of hand)

In 2007 I still perceive Aruba as a safe island (no human trafficking!), since Natalee Holloway there has not been any kidnapping, or
missing people (thank God) and I live in Aruba so I would know. I still jog every evening (sometimes late into the night) without worrying about anything but snakes (real
      boas anyway!) and loose dogs.

Yet is sad that she has not been found and that her case has not been solved (yet). I still wonder about her and I hope her case does not go cold
and that the ones guilty of her crime, are given their sentence. We all want this resolved, so her family can try to find peace and we can move on. (all of us)
I hope the recent arrests bring the case to a close or give some clarity, at least. But personally I doubt it.

      Conversations Joran Tapped

The possible evidence that again made JvdS suspect of the killing of Nat H. are tapped phonecalls between him and his Aruban friends.
Phonecalls of VdS and his two friends Deepak and Satish Kalpoe between februari and august this year were overheard and that supposedly proved one of the three was involved in the disappearence of Natalee.
The overheard conversations didn’t match the statements the three had made to the Prosecutors.

    36. Michael on November 23rd, 2007 5:36 am

      From Dutch media:

“The potential evidence that Joran van der Sloot again has become suspect of the murder of Natalee Holloway, tapped telephone conversations between him and his Aruban friends.

Van der Sloot and his two friends, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe have been monitored between last February and August. These talks would prove that one of the three would be involved in the disappearance of Natalee. Things that has been discussed by telephone, in any case, not match the statements of the three against justice.”

Here come the Arubans again … ‘why boycott Aruba’? Just look at the last 2.5 years and what Aruba’s government has done to the Holloway Twitty family and to the American people ….

Get wise, Aruba. You made the reasons for your boycott; the rest of us are just cheering you on.

You are getting what you deserve.

Well, not yet you’re not. It’s only just begun.

EURobert, thanks for keeping us advised of what’s going on.

      Ignorance is your bliss..

Wake up, the damage is already done, amount of American tourist has diminished and I don’t think it will ever be restored. And what have you achieved until now?
      Clearly; nothing.

And I hope for the American community (and the Aruban one) that Natalee would be found and the suspects prosecuted. ‘Cause honestly that is the ending everyone is looking for (even in Aruba).
Yes I am Aruban and through all this (the bashing of our island) I still will always have the outmost respect for Americans or any other human being on this planet because I will
never judge a whole country for only a handful of culpable people. (so that we treat Americans badly is a great lie)

If this was my daughter I would be enraged too, so the feeling is understandable! But calling us for pigs, snakes and Indians is uncalled for. Just because you don’t agree with the Dutch laws or how the
case was handled doesn’t give you the right to go calling people names (where are we? Back in grammar school ?)
That we deserve this? Fine that is your call, but I don’t derive from other people’s misery. Clearly some people do.

That’s your problem. It could have been
over in weeks or months. Aruba decided to
lie, and keep lying. At certain points
      in this investigation… Aruba wasn’t
even complying with their very own Dutch
Legal System. The people you need to be
angry are the Vandersloot and Kalpoe
      t bombs.

Happy Holidays, Monkeys! I have never given up hope that evidence will be retrieved in Natalee’s disappearance and have prayed everyday since the day she went missing that she would be found, and if not, those who did this to her would be hunted down and severely punished. It is not good enough that these three are arrested. I say we should not stop until Paulus and the older ones involved are convicted for their disgusting role in luring Natalee to her fate, not to mention the role they All played in the cover up. It figures Joran and the Kalpoes couldn’t keep their egotistical traps shut. I guess whomever thought to wipe out all the evidence didn’t think to get rid of them…. could be because they are closely related, no????
Minnesota Dad, I strongly agree with you: It won’t be justice until all fry!

      AMY,

Most of us weren’t around during or at the Holocaust places either, but we all know of the horrific tragedy and injustice it was.

You are soooo wrong. The boycott, Natalee’s family, & Scared Monkeys help keep Natalee’s story on the front page and added pressure to get this solved. It has been so obvious who had the motive, means and opportunity to harm Natalee. It is also so obvious the special treatment they got compared to the 2 black security guards. If it hadn’t been for the above people mentioned, they would be just like the other 2 missing American males in Aruba. What some people didn’t learn is the more negative and bad things they made up about this victim and her family, the more determined it made others to stay the course for justice.

    45. Patti on November 23rd, 2007 6:23 pm

      Amy:

You got a point. What has it achieved? Nothing.

It took the Dutch to step in.

      Why?

Because Aruba is corrupt to the core.

Even now, while these three are in jail, we all

wonder if there will EVER be justice in Aruba and

for that reason many, many people will never, ever

go there. It took ALL this, and still we have to

worry about some slick Willy that your government

might pull out of their hat.

You want things to change for you?

      Make it change…

Devote yourself to seeing that there is fairness

and justice in Aruba for every man, woman and

child and, maybe one day, there will be.

      YOU are Aruba….

Not Oduber, or your ministers, but you.

And until you become responsible for your island,

      nothing is going to change…ever.

Freedom, Liberty, Justice comes with a price.

No one is just going to give it to you.

You have to fight for it.

And as long as Arubans do nothing about their own

corrupt government officials, they will forever

      be corrupt.

Drug dealers, Human Traffickers, Money Launderers

are what many of your officials have become.

      Why?

      Because you let them.

      .

      Boycott Aruba

    46. Allan on November 23rd, 2007 6:26 pm

Aruba I remember when you made Beth Twitty apologize
or you would stop the so called investigation. How damn cruel can you be? Leave the US and our attitude alone. I don’t think this is a good time start over in relations with Aruba.

    47. Patti on November 23rd, 2007 6:39 pm

      P.S.

There are people being trafficked into the U.S. everyday. Do I know about it? No. Do I know them? No. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

The trafficking that your country is doing is from Columbia, Venezuela and Honduras, mainly. How are you to know of the latest shipment of women and children to fill the brothels? How are you to know the truth about the rituals of a secret society or human sacrificing Indians unless you study about them. These people are invisible… but they’re there.

As far as your jogging, I’d make sure I have a taser or something for protection, because NO place is completely safe.

    48. Patti on November 23rd, 2007 9:06 pm

      Allan:

Karen Janssen did that. The LEAD PROSECUTOR!!!!!

      The ATTORNEY for the PEOPLE!!!!!

      Who was she fighting for?

It got Twitty so mad, he cried and said, “Look…

Just give her back to us. We won’t ask ANY

questions. All we want is to take her home.”

If I were Beth, I would have popped her one,

right across the face. Karen was sitting on her

ass, trying to look important, while it was the

Holloways doing the searching and investigating

the best they could and she has the nerve to

threaten to quit?!?! Joran calls her a girl…

      Wonder where he got that?

Let’s hope she doesn’t make up part of the new

Aruban prosecuting team. She couldn’t prosecute a

pussy cat, much less a lion.

Personally, I think they should hold the trial in

The Netherlands or some place that is neutral.

Aruba is related to everyone. They are bound to

find someone of the Brethren to make sure they

      take care of their own.

      Amy:

      Case and Point -

Look up the effects of Gambling…

Tell me how much the crime rate increases…

Tell me the other crimes that are usually
      associated with Gambling…

Tell me who has been running most all of the
      Casinos in Aruba…

      Tell me about his past…

Tell me where he is today…

      There….

The most powerful man on the island.

    50. Lily on November 24th, 2007 12:31 am

      Patti,

Please do tell who’s been runnign most all of the Casinos in Aruba – are his initials MP?

    51. Richard on November 24th, 2007 5:09 pm

The Holloway Twitty family has been fighting a corrupt government in Aruba for two and a half years … and Amy says WE are bashing ARUBA?

Nothing personal, Amy, but your government brought it on your people. The Van der Scums said they couldn’t care less about the impact of any boycott.

So why should we help you now?

    52. Carpe Noctem on November 24th, 2007 6:02 pm

Geez… he looks like a heaping pile of s#it!

Lurch + Eddie Munster + Jim Carey = Joran.

With that awful hair helmet thing he’s
got going on, and the dark bags under his
eyes… He looks like something right out of
      NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.

How can this family (Vanderwhatever)live with themselves…I hope every day of their lives feels to them like Natalee’s last minutes of her life….GOD BLESS YOU DAVE,BETH AND BROTHER…..I believe justice will prevail…….

    55. Charles Nickalopoulos on February 17th, 2008 11:18 am

Joran Van Der Sloot is the one pointing a finger at himself. If he would keep his mouth shut and let his lawyers handle the case, he would not keep putting his foot in it.
One reason O.J. was found not guilty, is because he let his lawyers do most of the talking. That is why this Joran guy needs to SHUT UP, and let his lawyers handle the the case.
Whether he is innocent, or guilty, he needs to SHUT HIS MOUTH, and let the lawyers do their job.
