Why did they go to the Bubali police station, the morning of May 30th? Was it to report the fatality? Who could have confabulated with them and the police authorities not to report the truth and instead, dispose of the body? Ben Vocking? Members of the Black Team? Upper AHATA management?

Natalee was not the first person to disappear in Aruba. Getting rid of the bodies had worked up to then, because the families of the previous victims did not pursue the search for their lost ones. I guess the Bubali group was not counting on Beth.

It is very frustrating to see that Jorran is still free. The other issue with the Dutch / Aruban law is that when the crime is not solved in 5 years, the file will be closed, and prossecution will no longer be possible.

    3. brie on October 22nd, 2007 11:07 am

That is my question too, Mohican. Why did they go to the Bubali police station the morning of May 30th? Was it because a chaperon stayed behind and notified the police and described who Natalee was last seen with and what kind of car she was in? How could of Joran been surprised when Beth and the police showed up at his house looking for Natalee, when he had already been to the police station earlier that morning.

    4. LilPuma on October 22nd, 2007 11:28 am

They were surprised that Beth and Jug got there that evening. They expected them to take a commercial flight out the next day.

    5. brie on October 22nd, 2007 12:44 pm

Well Joran said he was surprised to hear that Natalee was missing, when the police came looking, but he had already been at the police station that morning. May 30th

    6. Richard on October 22nd, 2007 1:03 pm

Maybe they were trying to find out what was already known (or, perhaps, how the spinning of the alibis was going to work out) so they could know where to take things from there.

Or, perhaps, some ally of theirs in the police told them to show up and “get the latest” … or to clear up a few things?

Or (for those who really want to tread the black depths of possibility) someone in the police station had gotten word from someone else that “the shipment had gotten to the destination” ….

    7. Miss-Underestimated on October 22nd, 2007 1:05 pm

First, since whe did Joran ask permission from his dad, to go the the Wyndham?

Secondly, these shoes, why is Joran making so much about the shoes, they are brought up in several of the statements he made, did they have blood on them?
Reminds me of the fuss Anita made about her camera.

See, apples do not fall far from the tree.

Same as the legacy that Gerald Dompig is leaving for his children and grandchildren.

Son’s pay for their fathers sins.

I don’t think Joran will have fire years left!

If he’s cut loose someone will
      shoot his sorry ass.

Him, and the toxic waste dump

      of a father of his…

      IMHO

I think they’re fittin’ to be some daffodil &

      daisy pushin’ up mother—-

…and it could not happen to two

nicer pieces of shi*. Maybe we could

give them a burial like the one

Paulus and Joran gave to Natalee?

#3, Brie, how could Joran be surprised of Beth’s arrival and how could he even have had a loss of memory of who Natalee was? Nothing he said had any truth except the part where he talks in one of his interviews about how nothing bothers him.

How did Paulus have a loss of memory of who Natalee was when Beth arrived at his house?
Had he not just been sitting right next to her at that casino?

Who went to the police station on Monday morning, May 30? The Mountain Brook people? WHO?
I thought that the Mountain Brook chaperones were at the hotel and reported everything to the police at the beach, who never told them they weren’t the police. So who went to the Police Station on Monday morning, May 30, 2005?

These videos are great SM. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Excellent work with these guys. The music always fits perfect.

Another thing for Paulus, he says in his police statement he gave permission for Joran to go. Joran said he called and asked to go and yet remember Paulus’s appearance on Nova June 29th, 2005 where he said he was not home again without him knowing it. Also note the reporter repeating what Paulus said to him, Paulus was sleeping and went to the door. Of course from Beth’s book we now know he answered the door with, what a coincidence, his cellphone, tell me that’s not rehearsed!

Reporter: It is the evening, Jeroen, on which the parents of Natalee fly into Aruba. More precisely, the mother and the stepfather. They don’t believe she just walked away, or that there is nothing wrong. They are sure something serious is going on. So they take the first plane from Alabama, where they are from, to here, Aruba, and arrive in the evening. They go to the Police and together go to the house of Joran, of the van der Sloot family . Then, it is night already, around two. In the middle of the night, they arrive there with a company of Police and other people and they ring. The father, van der Sloot is sleeping, he opens the door and asks, “What is going on? Why are you here?” ” For our disappeared daughter, who was last seen with your son.” He doesn’t know all that yet. The father van der Sloot goes to an apartment, next to the house, where Joran always sleeps and opens the door and Joran is not in his apartment. He is not sleeping there. And then, the father picks up the mobile phone, he calls his son and he appears to be in a casino somewhere here on Aruba at that time. And that is where we pick up the story. The son is in a casino and eventually there is a meeting at the house of van der Sloot with all these people. The parents of Natalee, the son and the father.

PvdS: He was, at that moment, again, not at home without me knowing it. Then, I called Joran on his mobile phone, and then he said that he was by the Wyndam. That is also a casino here in the neighborhood. Then, we drove there immediately, but he had, he said that he had misunderstood me, because he came home already. So, then all of us went back home, and around three, with quite a group, we spoke with Joran that night.

    16. Patti on October 23rd, 2007 12:21 am

That’s right Maggie, and you know why? Because, they’re the Van der Sloots and it doesn’t matter if your the Holloway’s or the Queen of Sheiba, they get what they want. They wanted Natalee. They’re got Natalee. (period)

They had their little meeting around the pool but guess what? They never came up with an alibi for Paulus. So, confused, and frustrated by the appearance of the parents of Natalee… he didn’t know what to say. So what did he say?

He told the truth. He picked up Joran and Natalee at 4am around the Mc Donalds at the Marriot…and then then lie, that HE dropped Natalee off at her hotel.

The most important part of everyone’s alibi being that Natalee was at the Holiday Inn by the night’s end. So, in the mind of a criminal, he was covering home base… either way, whether it was the Kalpoes or him, she was left, in the end, where she should have been.

Paulus is an egotistical, man-eating lion that would use his own son to attain the gift that he, himself, was supposed to provide… a virgin.

And in the words of a son left holding the cards when accused of not caring for his family he says, “that’s all I care about”…”I should have killed you”.

Such is the life of one holding on to the sacrednes of tradition rather than the sacredness of life. Even, Joran, himself wanted to die knowing that sweet, caring Natalee was dying for him in a ritual that only the most evil of men would participate. But… he was a Van der Sloot… and that meant something… atleast in his own mind.

Van der Sloot, Van der Straaten, it doesn’t matter, but their sons are taught to uphold the tradition of their own “kind” and in thier hearts and in their minds… that was the “right” thing to do, even though it went against everything that they knew in their conscience. Natalee was not an econ, she was a real person with her own family, her own dreams and her own future… what they did was wrong.

That is the ONLY reason that there is any remorse in the case of Natalee Holloway. Had she been a Columbian, or someone bought from the streets of The Netherlands, no one would have cared because you only care about that of which you are aware.

That’s why life goes on and Joran is in the Netherlands going to school and Paulus is still in Aruba pursuing a career and Anita continues to teach children… because the practice of tradition is what guides their hearts… not what is right.

Joran… he could commit suicide anyday. Geoff, is dead, spiritually, and there may be countless others that have suffered from the consequence of conscience… but Paulus…no. Anita…no, because they are of the generation where appearances is everything and … THEY put on quite a show with their blonde hair, blue-eyed beauty…. the VAN DER SLOOT… “LAMB”

      F*** Aruba and their Nation…

      Boycott til you drop!

      (12) Indeed murder has no such limit, but you would need to prove pre-meditation to kill.

    18. joost on October 23rd, 2007 8:56 am

      Nope, Joost (2) is right.

Let me explain. In Dutch criminal law, if a crime does not get solved after a certain time, the criminal will no longer be punished. Sole exception are Second World war ciminals.

For murder, the time frame is 18 years. However, due to the age of Jorran (at the date of the crime and if he committed the crime), will fall udner juvenile court. This means, 5 years, no result, man goes free, forever.

    19. Vicki on October 23rd, 2007 10:31 am

#18- no disrespect but URINE will never be a MAN,first of all, and secondly he is already dead, he just doesnt know it. He will never be FREE as ppl with no empathy are gouhls which means they have no souls….Its a shame but thats how his disgraceful parental figures raised him. Come to PA for the next show in the Northeast and Ft Lauderdale in the southeast in NOVEMBER.

    20. brie on October 23rd, 2007 12:30 pm

None of them are men…Paulus least of all…what man hides behind the bushes when you want to give them a prayer card. I loved Beth’s comment, “I see you, hiding behind the bushes”. I hope he felt like a total ass! Child like game, hide-and-go-seek!

I have never seen so much lying in my life…but with that much lying the truth is there…

Keep up the good work you guys, will find justice for Natalee!

    21. elisabeth on October 23rd, 2007 12:47 pm

sorry Joost, but since 2005 there is no statue on limitation for murder, other crimes against life merit 18 years. I understand that more than one perpetrator is suspected…

    22. Richard on October 23rd, 2007 12:50 pm

The longer that Aruba continues to stall in providing answers, the more severe its punishment shall be. Let us hope this.

1006, Frankenstein had a kind of lonely dignity about him (I mean the film creation; as we know, in the ‘original’ book it was Dr. Frankenstein who created the monster, whose ability to speak in complete sentences probably exceeded that of most of our politicians today).

There is nothing of dignity, decency or even moral grandeur in ANY of the van der Sloots.

They remind me of what you see when you are out in the forest and you turn a rock over … hideous creeping and crawling things that scurry for cover amidst rotten leaves.

Richard That is what I meant the monster is better than the Sloots.

I belong to a research project from the University of Alabama.
It is assisted by volunteer students from its pre-med school and I speak to them on a regular basis. Natalee is not forgotten there.
If not for Natalee’s disappearance perhaps she could have been one of the students I would be talking to for this project. Perhaps this is another reason why I feel I have this closeness to Natalee and why I am trying to get her or her remains back to Alabama. Natalee would have been in her junior year already if not for Aruba.
