If I understand this right, the new version was up and running some time over night. Because I am not seeing it now, it must have been taken down because of bugs or something?

And how does one get their account reacctivated?
I’m able to put up the list of forums but not allowed to access any of them. I get URL not found. Are guests not being allowed in?
#4 Smish .. it will take a bit for to migrate to the nw DNS. That has to do with the network you are on pointing to the correct spot.

I deleted my cookies and browser history then restarted my computer. This did the trick for me. Now I am able to access the forum. It looks really nice, great job!

America Online
The America Online browser is based on Microsoft Internet Explorer. In addition to the information above, here are specific steps to clear your AOL browsing history:
1. Select “settings” from the set of buttons at the top of the AOL window.
2. Select “preferences.”
3. Select “toolbar and sounds.”
4. Select “clear history trail now.

I’ve been trying to get to the .net home page for hours now. “We’re transitioning our site. Please try us again in a few hours.” I hit refresh, same message. I tried deleting the cookies & history, etc, still no home page. What am I doing wrong?

SM: Several people going through AOL are having problems. This started before the new forum change and may be an AOL issue not a forum issue. If you can use another browser like IE or Firefox try that. (klaasend)
Pressing my nose against the glass, I can’t get in. I’m using Safari and have refreshed repeatedly….AYUDA!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to see everybody and the new changes. Last night was sad with all the goodbyes, so I’m looking forward to saying hello!!!!!
I’ve deleted my cookies and refreshed too, but I’m still not able to get on…What else can I try?

SM: Sunfreak – try just going into IE without having AOL up. San was having the same problem. It’s an AOL issue that should resolve itself by tomorrow. (klaasend)
<p>I don’t have AOL. I do have IE6. I’ve cleared all cookies, cleared all temp files, and refreshed and refreshed and I still keep getting the message to try again in a few hours.</p>

SM: If you have Scaredmonkeys.net bookmarked that could be causing the problem too, you may need to delete your bookmark. Try going to http://www.scaredmonkeys.net directly.
If you just registered it may take a while before we actually start approving new registrations. Things are a little hectic today.

HELP!!!
I have attempted to log into the new site with my original user name and password several times. My first attempt did work … I was in the cage and … then I was booted out and … have not been able to get in since. I know that the username and password are are correct. I saved Tom’s original email to me when I joined the SM Forum on December 6, 2006.

Emptieng your cache most of the time helps if you keep getting the same page. (In Safari: See Top Menu > Safari > Remove cache-files – or something like that; I have the dutch version, so I don’t know the exact english terminology.)

SM: The forum is up and running. If you are having problems getting in then try deleting your cookies. Do not try accessing the site from a bookmarked link because that will try to take you to the old forum. Go to http://www.scaredmonkeys.net
If you are still having problems let us know. AOL users are currently having problems and can’t get in unless they close out of AOL and use another browser. That should resolve itself by tomorrow. (klaasend)
Well I did all I can do, later taters.
I deleted the cookies. I did use MSM, Yahoo and IE. I even tried going in thru the doggie door ( dogpile ). I was in before, but it was from work.
Is this because I am Canadian and don’t have a valid passport ? LOL, Like I said, it looked great from work, so I will just give it time. xx 000 xx
I had my aol opened then opened my IE and could get in that way.Now I just checked scaredmonkeys.net thru aol and I got in and got to read the page I left off at(most graphics not showing up in aol)but couldn’t go to the next page in the thread.From what I have seen,sooooo nice in the new monkey cage.Great job you all.

Klaas … the computer geek husband of a good friend deleted my “cookies” and I did not have the site bookmarked. I receive the following message when I attempt to access:

Klaas … make sure Ducky has lots of fresh water and … he only eats the best poultry feed sold at Buckerfields. Do not leave him in the pen overnight. You have to bring him into the house … perferably a special spot in your bedroom .. or he will quack all night long. He gets very lonely.

Hey … the passport deadline has been extended for entry to the USA. Yet … this Canadian is being denied entry to the Monkey Cage. Hmmm

Well Good luck SM, I hope you do better than e-bay….everytime e-bay changes the format for sailboats it jams and in a few days they are back to the old one….but I suppose when you are doing things on the Web there is always trial and error….my three places to go on the web is Foxnews, e-bay and SM….so keep it coming.
Still not working for me today either. I talked with AOL techies yesterday and they couldn’t get there either thru AOL or IE7. They said it was a server issue on SM end.

How long does it take for an administrator to review and accept an application for registration to scared monkeys?
It’s been over a year and I still haven’t received either an acceptance OR a denial, so I re-registered 3 weeks ago, and still nothing.
What’s the basis for acceptance? Who the heck is in charge here?
