BODY PART BELIEVED TO BELONG TO MISSING MICHIGAN WOMAN TARA GRANT

DETROIT – Investigators found what is believed to be the torso of a 34-year-old suburban wife and mother of two…
in the garage of the home in Macomb County’s Washington Township shared by Tara Grant and her husband, Stephen, following a search that began Friday night.

    3. San on March 3rd, 2007 11:37 am

This woman has been missing since February 9th and her husband reported her missing 5 days later. Why did it take so long for the authorities to search her home. I would have suspected the husband as soon as he made that call. If I am not mistaken now they are looking for the husband. This is so sad because I saw her sister this morning on the CBS morning show talking about her sister. The CBS asked her if she thought her hubby had anything to do with her disappearance and she said I hope not.

Please note … there is a Tara Grant post where you can leave comments regarding this terrible discovery.

We have moved all the above comments there as well. Thanks.

      Monkey Lunchey  Report -

10 Monkeys (including a Mystery Monkey) talked about ALL the rest of you :l0l: for two hours today! Not one banana was ordered. No one got lost. It was a lot of fun and I hope we can have another Atlanta Monkey gathering.

      ______________

SM:   Sure wish I could have been there….sounds like you guys had a blast!   Mystery Monkey huh?  ;)   (klaasend)

    8. msmarple on March 3rd, 2007 5:36 pm

Reminder that there will be a total eclipse of the moon tonight (Satuday, 3/3), visible in most of eastern U.S., between 6:00 – 8:30 pm. (Cloud cover allowing, of course.) It will be a “red moon.”

    9. Sam on March 3rd, 2007 6:54 pm

      Oh msmarple,

I am so glad you Monkeys had a good time. Of course we are all wondering who your mystery monkey was. Glad you were able to meet safely and wish I could have been there also. How did you recognise each other? Or do you look just like your avatars? LOL

      Sam

    10. msmarple on March 3rd, 2007 7:12 pm

Sam – We wore our avatars, silly! You don’t think we went to lunch nekky, do you?

Seriously, we had a “recognition arrangement” :;):

And we swore on a stalk of bananas NOT to reveal the mystery guest.

    11. Mortella on March 3rd, 2007 7:20 pm

What is a Mystery Monkey? Is that one who doesn’t tell their SM identity? And the rest of you did? Maybe that wasn’t really a monkey at all??? Never can tell. Glad all made it safely and a good time was had by all.

Also glad you had such a fine topic for conversation!

    12. BTgirl on March 3rd, 2007 7:20 pm

Sam – at least one of us was recognizable by the sock monkey earrings she was wearing!

    13. Elaine on March 3rd, 2007 8:03 pm

I am so happy to hear that you monkeys had a great lunch today!! Jealous, yes I am, but still glad to hear all went well.

    14. Elaine on March 3rd, 2007 8:05 pm

To #9, Sam,…How did you know I look just like my avatar?

    15. Tibrogargan on March 3rd, 2007 8:25 pm

Hi Monkeys! So glad everyone arrived safely at the Monkey Lunchey. Lucky Monkeys, I really wish I could have been there, but distance is certainly a problem for me!!
There would have been some interesting sights if you had worn your avatars and Robots would have been the best one.
Bet you had fun discussing the rest of us. Well, our turn will come – just you wait.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in our remodelled cage.
Klaas has been hard at work on her videos and the Dompig one is very good. Lies, lies and more lies from the three perverts. Keep the videos coming Klaas and maybe the right people will finally take notice and add 2 and 2 together. At least on their past performance we know they would not be able to gain access here as it involves simple maths.
Many thanks to Tom, Red, Klaas and all others involved for looking after us so well and giving us a safe place to meet in the midst of such a jungle out there.

    16. snoopy on March 3rd, 2007 9:22 pm

OMG. You won’t believe ehat I just did!! I was so excited to be back here as I have not had internet since Tuesday morning that I typed my whole message in the space where I’m supposed to put my name. lol. Anyways….glad that ya’ll had a good time that got together. Wish I could have been there. I’ve met BT, and she is a sweetheart!

Are all our monkeys safe that live down south? I’ve been so worried about them. Has everybody checked in? I tried to call Lala’s Mom, but no answer, and couldn’t leave a message. So sad about the children who died in Enterprise, and everybody else. They’re all in my prayers.

    17. Tibrogargan on March 3rd, 2007 9:36 pm

#16 Hi Snoopy. Know what you mean – I typed my previous message then forgot to do the sum and lost the lot so I had to re-do the post. As far as I know all the monkeys are safe. Lala’sMom was posting yesterday in the forum. Maybe she took her book and pencils to the lunch?

    18. snoopy on March 3rd, 2007 10:00 pm

      Hi Tibrogargan. Thanks!

    19. Sam on March 3rd, 2007 10:46 pm

Elaine I look just like my avatar as well. Just a sweet little kitty. But you also know looks can be deceiving. LOL
Were you wearing some of your wild aviator sunglasses? Oops just reread your message and see you were not there.

Snoopy glad you made it in. I am so confused because I keep reading post by a Sam and it is not me. Oh the Sam on this page has been me but not on some others. I had this problem before on Blogs for Natalee Chat. So just bear in mind all Sams are not me. LOL

    20. Kat_Gram on March 4th, 2007 11:18 am

What I want to know is :
A Mystery Monkey ??? Is that the Monkey behind the curtain ?
And, when y’all finally met, did you look like you thought the other would look ?

SM:   FYI – the forum is back up :)   (klaasend)

Klaas, I just tried and I couldn’t get in the forum.

SM:   Try clearing out your cookies then try again. (klaasend)

    22. Scared Monkeys on March 4th, 2007 12:12 pm

The change has happened and DNS is resolving around the world to let you come in.

DNS – dynamic name system is what converts the address, scaredmonkeys.net to the ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx . It essentially is like game of telephone … I tell my server and hosting company it changed, they tell another group that the change has happened, and so on and so on…

You computer also caches the dns entries locally. To clear out the cache there is a trick in Windows systems.

      Click Start then Run
      type cmd and hit enter
then type this exactly — ipconfig /flushdns

This process will clear out the locally cached dns entries and get you in once your isp has the new correct information. UPDATE : But of course if your local internet service provider does not have the new information, this will not change anything.

      Tom

    23. Leslie on March 4th, 2007 12:49 pm

After doing the run-cmd-etc. what do we do then? It isn’t working for me.

      ________________

SM:   You don’t want to be doing the “run-cmd” stuff.   It may take a while for the DNS changes to reach your IP service provider…give it a while then try back again.   I understand SAN is having problems getting in still as well.   When it’s working, you should just get in as usual…no special commands or downloads or anything. (klaasend)

OOPS – forget what I said above…I see TOM has given instruction

    24. Patti on March 4th, 2007 1:34 pm

      Tom:

I did what you told me to do.

But when I try to go the Forum, I get the message that the board is unavailable at this time and to try again later.

      ?????

    25. Scared Monkeys on March 4th, 2007 1:55 pm

      Patti

That means that your internet provider has not gotten the new DNS settings. They tend to take between 20 minutes and 48 hours to completely update, but typically it is less than a day.

Sorry, I wish I could offer more, but that is the way of the internet.

      Tom

    26. Patti on March 4th, 2007 2:02 pm

      Thanks, Tom

I’ve got plenty of reading and studying to do.

      .

Hey! to all you monkeys in the cage. I’m glad your
luncheon went well. Tell Lala’s Mom that I think I’ve
got some good news for her! (She’ll know what I mean)

      Smileys to you all!

    27. Sam on March 4th, 2007 2:29 pm

Well I printed out the directions and will try it later. Heres hoping. It let me read the political forum but then nothing. Good luck everyone else.

    28. nomad on March 4th, 2007 3:04 pm

Fourth attempt to post here –

This is my 2nd attempt to post here. (Yes, I did the math test first time :-)

Anyway, about 45 minutes ago I was actually in the LCD forum reading page 10. When I refreshed the page, I got the “Sorry,
but this board is unavailable. Please try again later” message.

Didn’t know if others are having the same problem. Just wanted to let you know.

    29. Sam on March 4th, 2007 5:26 pm

Tom, I did your directions. I also did control panel, internet options and cleared my history. Shut down after and restarted.

I later came back here. Got to the forum. Did not sign in but was able to read last page of Natalee Holloway. went to sign in and signed in and got the forum is not available page. I closed off SM and came back this time I again got the forum is not available page.

Klaas if you are reading, I did read where you said aol had not updated yet but I came in by way of aol. HELP Please

So yes Nomad others are having the same problem.

      Sam

SM:   Elaine was just able to get through AOL by running a program to clear out all her cookies.   It appears AOL is saving the cookie for SM.   Try clearing you cookies. (klaasend)

This is what Elaine  said and did:

Hi Monkeys! Yeaaaaaaaaa the forum is back, thanks Tom!! I got into the forum through AOL. What I did was to run the free clean-up program, to get rid of everything on my cache. Sometimes, if I just try to clear cookies, I cannot quite get everything. This Clean-up works great, gets everything off!… free clean-up > http://www.stevengould.org/software/cleanup/
