I am almost feeling sorry for Paris also.
Nancy Grace is doing a full program tonight on Paris. Wow. I am not going to be home. They do these shows / blogs because they are cheap and easy. And because ppl will tune in. Not me. Radio is good. So are books. Movies. Gasp… going outside is also good.
Fox has added a half hour news show that’s mimics Saturday Night Live as well as a show called Red Eye, which of course is on late at night. While Red Eye is a funny and irreverent discussion of things in the news, I think this tells us why we can’t get Hollywood gossip off the news shows. It seems this is what the producers at Fox want. Scandal, sex, drugs, alcohol and gossip. Of course their ratings go up when they cover these topics. They are on 24/7 while Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood get one hour a day. They should give Dana his own show and let him do it like he does on the radio. I learn a lot more by listening to someone talk about an issue, than listening to hosts and guests and (often) uninformed panelists disagree for ratings.
We have to be careful not to throw out the baby with the bath water, as the proverb goes.
I can’t imagine that anyone cares much about Paris Hilton.
But some people include Natalee Holloway in the league of “gossip.” To me, the cases couldn’t be more diametrically opposed.
Paris Hilton is famous for being famous, and nothing else.
Natalee is the victim of a cover-up on Aruba. Accordingly, I think, every American who believes in justice for both the high and the low (and I would like to think that every American does) should be demanding answers.
And should be demanding action by our government.
And should be urging other people to boycott Aruba until answers, prosecutions, and convictions are forthcoming.
