Sopranos Finale … What Will the Conclusion be to Tony Soprano?

The final episode of The Sopranos is this evening and the best kept secret is what will be Tony_soparanothe out come after 6 seasons and 8 1/2 years to Tony Soprano. Will Tony Soprano get whacked? Will Phil be pushing up daises at shows end? Having been in many of the areas where the HBO show is filmed, it does become quite intriguing. Just to let everyone know the Bada Bing, not its real name.

There are actually those that are placing bets on the shows outcome. What do you think will be the conclusion of The Sopranos? For those that have become Sopranos junkies, there are so many possibilities for the ending. It would be all too simple for just an easy and predictable whacking. Its hard to believe that creator, David Chase, would be that predictable. For many different scenarios and a good commentary on the final episode go to The Moderate Voice. My belief is that they will play on AJ’s all consuming interest in world wide terrorism. Terrorism will rear its ugly head and prove to be the greater danger in the world than even the mob is. Of course thats just my opinion. Give us yours.

“The Sopranos” heads for highly anticipated climax

The HBO series concludes after six seasons spanning 8 1/2 years, having broken new ground for television: portraying a hero who is thoroughly evil, a man who corrupts everyone he comes into contact with while appearing perfectly ordinary to his neighbors.

It’s bada-boom for Tony Soprano

The ending that will piss off the world, but is probably the one closest to the truth.

To what turned out to be a lame ending, it left things wide-open for big screen possibilities.

We were watching the ending…the screen went blank, the Mr. thought the dish went out, the phone rings, it’s my brother, I know what he is calling about and I tell him, oh, you didn’t see Tony get whacked? He’s mad because he thought his dish went out too, I had to tell him the truth.
That was the ending, the blank screen.

Yep I think it is leaving the door open for the silver screen.

I got that the cat was actually Christopher reincarnated. And Paulie was hilarious.

      Fade to black.

That’s how so many of us really want to go out isn’t it?

Scene: Little boy meets grandpa at the train station, hugs, then fade to black.

Scene: Wedding vows taken, the minister then says to the groom, you may now kiss the bride, then, fade to black.

Scene: TV about to hand over the multi state lottery winning check, a family of eight all beaming with joy over winning, the cameras clicking away and then, fade to black.

Face it folks, it was a creative moment for the creator of the Soprano’s. He could have ended it anyway he wanted to, death, prison, a dream sequence finale, but no, he chose FADE TO BLACK.

Get over yourselves, get back to work, get back to blogging and then FADE TO BLACK!

Hey carpe can you give us a picture sequence with a fade to black?

      __________

SM: After all this time, however, fade to black was hardly the right call.

Showing the insignificance in the grand scope of things of these peoples lives and how its just a vicious cycle after propping them up on a pedestal was rather lame. Actually very lame.

The fact that Chase ran off to France to hide after the fact, makes it more so.

I’m shocked that you did not get the ending…..Just think about it…..Tony was in fact wacked Sunday night….
Re watch the show and you will see….also re watch some of tony and boby’s scenes……..they clearly talk about what it is like once you are in fact wacked……it all fades to black….then re watch the last scene with the paragraph below in mind…..Tonys dead.

watch the last scene again. everytime someone comes into the door you hear the bell then the camera view shows tony, then switches to his point of view to show who is entering the restaurant. this pattern happens 3 times (first with curly haired lady who looks like janice, then trucker dude with USA cap, then carmela, then hitman followed by AJ, then meadow) When meadow enters the restaurant you hear the bell, see tony and then it is black. The view from his perspective is black – he is dead.

I think Chase was afraid to whack Tony. It would mean a total end to the Sopranos, something I think Chase isn’t ready for. More than just the end of the Sopranos, the end of Chase?

    11. awe shucks on June 13th, 2007 9:53 am

      The end of Chase?

hmmmmm somehow i doubt it. He was highly succesful prior to the Soprano’s. So its the end of chase because he ended a show he made zillions on over the last 10 years or so?? JUst why would that be….
The Sopranos are over. Tonys dead…..Just what wouuld a movie be…..10 guys walk out of teh bathroon and kill him???
Hes gone and its over….A shame the ending went over so many peoples heads as it in fact was brilliant writing.
