Paris Hilton Unchained … Let Out of Jail Early for “Medical Reasons” (Update: Paris Ordered back to Jail)

The joke that is Paris Hilton and her arrest and ordered jailing has now gone to the extreme. Even more so if that is possible. Paris Hilton was given a “get out of jail free” card for as what is being reported, “medical reasons”. Refused to eat? By the looks of her, does she eat when she is out of jail?

Get_out_of_jail_free_card_small

Officials confirmed Paris, 26, was let out “for medical reasons”. It emerged that the depressed socialite had refused to eat inside the Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles, and had cried herself to sleep every night. Medics and guards feared she would have a total nervous breakdown. There were even concerns she might try to kill herself.

Who knew jail was supposed to be a kind, warm and friendly place to stay? Hey Paris, its jail, not the Ramada Inn. First Paris Hilton is ordered to spend 45 days in jail, then its reduced to 23 and now she is out in 3. What a beautiful legal system we have for the rich and insane. She is let out on “medical reasons”. Wouldn’t about 70% of those in jail have the same issues and problems as Paris? To borrow a couple of lines from The Shawshank Redemption, “I’m not supposed to be here” and “we are all innocent in here” come to mind.

What a precedent this sets … let them all out because of medical conditions.

Prosecutor, judge object to Hilton’s early release from jail

The judge who sentenced Paris Hilton to jail and the prosecutor who pressed for her incarceration objected Thursday to her early release for an unspecified medical condition.

“The judicial process may have been improperly circumvented in this case,” said City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo. “This explanation is puzzling. Los Angeles County jail medical facilities are well-equipped to deal with medical situations involving inmates.”

Paris Hilton Ordered to Return to Court

Screaming Paris Hilton Sent Back to Jail

Hey Paris, this is what’s its like to not get your way. We realize that this is a novel concept to you but you might as well have one of life’s lessons at some point. How does it feel to be treated like one of the masses for a change?

Paris Hilton was sent screaming and crying back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her sentence behind bars rather than in the comfort of her Hollywood Hills home.

“It’s not right!” shouted Hilton, who violated her probation in a reckless driving case. “Mom!” she cried out to her mother.

See the Judges order that sealed Paris’ fate.

From the Washington Post, more of the Hilton melodrama. The WAPO sounds more like a trashy bodice ripper, GEEZ … “Mom! Mom! Mom!” she cried out to her mother, Kathy, who collapsed in tears in the front row of the courtroom.

I would ask those that question the story as news, as it is not, why write about it unless you want the traffic? No one is forcing you to comment on it. There are plenty of stories to write on, which many others do. Paris is not the story, except for the MSM. The story is preferential treatment and a backlash against the beautiful people.

Poor baby..was she doing through drug or alcohol withdrawal? Did the Sheriff succumb to “checkbookitis” from Mr./Mrs. Hilton? Is it a publicity stunt? Who cares???

Oops – #1 should be going not doing.

Looks like her early release really pissed off the judge and she will be in front of him this very morning. Let’s all hope the judge returns her to the pokey !!!!

Just goes to prove to the whole of the United States that with enough money and popularity that you can get away with every and anything.

This country’s judicial system is a joke and the Government of California is the ultimate laughing-stock of all of the 50 states. No wonder Vermont is trying to remove itself from the United States.

This stupid shit even affects how other countries look at us. If Miss Hilton did this same stuff in another country she would NOT get away with anything, but with this new kinder, gentler, and more liberal US RICH people can get away with anything.

I am disgusted with our Judicial system.

      prisoners.

OMG..this is REALLY sickening. How many ppl going to jail were scared and cried???? What are we gonna do let everyone out of jail that might have a nervous breakdown? I know if I went to jail, I would have a nervous breakdown…SHE SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN DRIVING DRUNK…what are we gonna do wait till she kills someone?

    7. Sherry on June 8th, 2007 9:58 am

As for their thinking of her ‘killing herself’…I think Paris thinks FAR too much of herself to kill herself.

    8. Freebrid on June 8th, 2007 10:59 am

I had to spend 3 days in jail for a ticket I did not pay, cause they got me on friday evening and said no one would be allowed to see a judge till monday morning. I didn’t eat that food either and the nurse said my blood pressure was high but all they told me was try and make yourself comfortable it will be monday before you know it. I guess my check book wasn’t gold and I’m not hot enough!

    9. disgustedmom on June 8th, 2007 11:30 am

Don’t want to seem like I’m waxing philosophical here…but people go to jail because they break laws that are meant to protect the public. Paris’ drunk driving habits were endangering the public and she should have been locked up for that, but she was ‘let go’ losing her license and then ended up locked up for breaking probation (essentially)driving with a revoked license. Still then, she was ultimately put in jail for being a danger to society.

People too often forget that the reason people go to jail is basically to rehabilitate them so they don’t endanger society anymore. All the money in the world does not make an habitual danger to society any less of one. Paris should have served her time.

This is not going to bode well for class differences within the US.

When Paris is better, It would be nice if she put her energy into serving these women who were left behind and offering them an opportunity to get a life start ~

I challenge Paris to open a facility to educate, encourage, counsel women that end up in this correction facility (or ones just like it) and help get their lives turned around ~ and/or offer programs and help to communities that would help educate & prevent women even ending up there ~ to much is given, much is expected…

It is disheartening, that Paris has been released, when I wonder, if another woman in this facilty would have been given the same treatment, under the same circumstances… Perhaps not…

I feel for the women left behind and they must be even more angered for her being let go ~ If you do the crime, do the time ~ I’m for fair treatment of everyone.

There are many girls behaving badly lately and it seems to be very popular and she’s hanging out with some very colorful charactures~ she has an opportunity to use this experience to benefit others, not just herself ~ she seems to be crying out for discipline and purpose… there you go, Paris… meet with Oprah, or some other women of high status and moral characture and get your act together… you’ve an opportunity to bless others and put your energies into serving and helping others ~ then, you’d gain the respect you’d have to earn it back ~ you’ve an opportunity to be a better role model for the younger generation whom I can’t for the life of me, understand why they try to emulate girls like yourself ~ Go do the right thing…

    11. kitty on June 8th, 2007 11:41 am

      P.S.

Was it right that she was let go? I don’t know, I am not a professional ~ (what is good for the goose, should be good for the gander)~ perhaps, she needed to complete her time and been allowed to do so in what ever manner the facility could set up for someone suffering in that way could allow someone to being supported with meds, counsel, what have you ~ apparently, she’s had a nervous break down and I don’t wish that on anyone.

I’m sure, it’s not an easy place to be in or an enjoyable environment to survive in ~ now, maybe, she’ll realize, just how blessed and priveliged she’s been … God has a way of getting our attention ~ I pray, she’s paying attention and does something good with it ~

    12. Para2legal on June 8th, 2007 11:43 am

Ms. Hilton’s preferential treatment sets a precedent for all.

    13. kitty on June 8th, 2007 11:46 am

I agree with disguisted Mom, it is NOT going to bode well with the class differences within the US ~ It appears that her status has gotten her preferred treatment and gotten her off the hook ~ as she WAS a danger to society with her driving record and she did need to pay for her crime ~ it shall be interesting how this all plays out.

    14. Mrs. Red on June 8th, 2007 11:49 am

      Kitty,
Paris isn’t going to do anything that doesn’t benefit Paris and Paris only… I watched her once on Oprah exclaim that after the Simple Life she realized that people earned in one week what she spent in one night on dinner and well, she just could not beleive that it was possible… “how do these people live?”

She should have to serve her sentence but she won’t have to, she’s rich and has a great PR machine…

besides the idea that she wouldn’t eat??? PHULEZE…. she eats about a leaf of lettuce every what, two weeks? If she does eat – she immediately probably throws it up…

I don’t see the big deal honestly… let her serve her time. Period.

    15. strayze on June 8th, 2007 11:54 am

What on earth malady does Paris have that absolutely requires no jail? This implies that she has an irreversible fatal disease such that facing a minor disappointment would cause her rapid demise. Is this a real doctor that is treating her, or is her doctor like Anna Nichol’s. If so the Medical Regulatory Board (whatever it’s name is) should be looking unto removing the license to practice.

Apparently there was concern of a “nervous breakdown”, whatever that means. (I’d think a real doctor could be more specific than that). At the least that doc needs to treat Paris to be able to face life on life’s terms. No number of pills can do that. In fact the anxiolytics are notorious for causing terrible addictions, and incidentally use the same brain receptors that are troublesome for alcoholics. A combined addiction of diazepine-type drugs and alcohol is really bad news. Grown up poor little rich girl, grow up!

    16. strayze on June 8th, 2007 12:01 pm

My sister the lawyer has always said that the law and lawyers is for the super-rich. That facing minor pet peeves, insults, inconveniences, etc. is best done without lawyers, unless you are super-rich, of course.

    17. Miss-Underestimated on June 8th, 2007 12:32 pm

You know, I blame the judge on this one. The judge should have said the following

” Miss Hilton, last week John Doe of East LA did the same thing, I had him serve X amount of weeks in jail, I am sentencing you to the same:

Now we have ppl on both sides saying she was sentenced too much or too little. The judge fudged it up, in my opinion. He could have averted all of the whoopla.

While the entire Nation’s news media is camped outside the Hilton’s prison camp, did anyone know that Bush replaced the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs this morning? Anyone notice that the Shamnesty(Michelle Malkin”s word that I love) bill failed in the Senate?

      BTW, does Shamnesty refer to:

      1. The Sham of “no amnesty”, look at all these “protections”?
      2. The Shame of lawmakers voting to break laws?
      3. or all the Ham (pork) in the bill?

      Is Paris really news?

It’s pitiful that some young ladies look-up to the bad girls. They’re blessed with talent, wait–what is Paris’s talent? I want them all to behave, but that might not happen.

When incarcerated, you are not given your normal meds for a couple days til you see their dr……..but she was planning a party at her home for tonight. Oh Greta give me a break…who isn’t shaking and sobbing when they go to jail????? It’s called panic! All she needed to do was abide by the law and show respect…..but no she asked for all of this…poor little Paris! That will be the first time in her life she didn’t get her way!

In perspective of what we have seen this past week, I don’t know why media has spent so much time covering this story constantly. It’s almost a sickness of some people putting some of the famous on a pedestal, and then buying front row seats cheering while we shoot them down.

I am not a Paris Hilton fan. I saw her in a video singing. I don’t get what her talent is???? Couple of my sons thinks she’s cute, but they aren’t fans. I don’t hate that she’s rich, her family earned it. I guess what I do hate is when the rich feel they are better than everyone else, that they came to this earth in a supreme way far above the way the not so rich did. Just because they are rich there are no rules and whatever they say and do is ok because they are rich. I haven’t even seen the remorse for what she did. Dress appropriate and go into court and beg and plead and apologize ad naseum for your behaviour and mean it.. Mel Gibson recently was arrested for drunk driving and all those racial comments he made. He got probation. I didn’t see people cheering on to “hang him” .

Isn’t there a way these people could be made to donate money let’s say to a group like Texas EquiSearch and/or go out and do something in the community service department. Help build homes, etc. Let them use that time to make a good difference in society.

I am much more worried about the disappearance and murder of soo many of our young women and children these days to pedophiles and sociopaths.

I am much more worried about the Jack Hall’s walking the streets with criminal pasts pretending to be our “nice” neighbor next door.

In the past week of things starting with the Kelsey story, Paris Hilton seems so minute. I wish the media felt that way and would stop saturating the news 24/7 with spoiled young girls gone wild. This is what these people crave the most. Money might buy lots of things, but it don’t buy class.

    34. mbs on June 8th, 2007 5:28 pm

It’s 45 days “with appropriate credit,” according to the actual order found on tmz.com. I think the credits had already been applied previously to the 45 days to make it 23 days, I don’t think she has to serve any more than that.

    35. chris on June 8th, 2007 5:36 pm

In my email to Greta the sporter lover, I asked if she noticed Paris having any tics, spasms or crying jags on her x rated video or when she is out partying every night. Does anyone know if the Hiltons are per chance Scientologists?
As for Paris being pretty, take away the hair extensions, contacts and fake eyelashes, what is left, but a stick with blonde hair who is nothing but a repository for every Tom, Dick and Harry that she happens to date at the moment.
She could use some of her richess to have a third of her nose removed , but she still would look like Pinocchio.
Sorry, had to vent after watching that circus all afternoon.

    37. disgustedmom on June 8th, 2007 5:47 pm

#29, don’t discount drug withdrawal from reason why Paris is ‘shaking uncontrolably’. I am not accusing her of anything, but her symptoms could spell something other than panic.

    38. glad2bAmerican on June 8th, 2007 5:50 pm

Yes, I agree Greta has gotten a “bad” attitude adjustment! Wonder where that is coming from!

    40. mbs on June 8th, 2007 6:43 pm

I really don’t think she is going through drug withdrawal. I’ve no doubt she is a recreational drug user, but I doubt she’s an addict. Addicts usually have some kind of self-esteem issues, and I don’t see that as a problem for her. She thinks way too much of herself to be an addict. The rumour on the internet is that her “medical problem” is a severe outbreak of herpes, stress-induced, with large painful blisters. That actually sounds more probable than drug withdrawal, since I’ve read for years that she had herpes. But it’s just a rumour, I have no idea if it’s true. It would explain the reluctance to disclose what her problem is, though.

Did she have these medical/mental problems at the MTV Awards? Was there really a party scheduled tonight for her at her house? Will the caterer get paid anyway? Should be interesting to see if she really has some problem other than someone not letting her do what she wants for the first time in her life after she endangered the lives of others on several occasions.

I do think the press coverage is overdone. It usually is in cases like this. But taking a short break from murder and war and politics isn’t always a bad thing.

Who doesn’t have temporary psychological problems when they enter a jail? It’s called, “Oh, shit! This is for real, and I’m depressed.” But, where else, but California, would you find a sheriff who fabricate an excuse for sending an inmate home for crying for a few days? Can’t tell me he hasn’t seen it before!

    44. barbara on June 8th, 2007 7:15 pm

I can only sigh and shake my head. Having in the past had a prison ministry, I have to say; being sad has never been known to get someone out of jail in Ohio. You can miss family deaths, lose your house, miss being there for your child’s birth, go half psychotic , they are not going to give you a furlow let alone let you out. Even if you are being held awaiting charges as they have not yet decided whether or not you did anything. Good thing Paris is not in Ohio, huh?

Sorry, sorry, sorry. She needs to serve her time. The fact that she has been aloof, arrogant, and gab over this whole thing doesn’t help her cause.

If she was a poor minority woman with cancer, you can bet she would be serving time and no Sherrif would be releasing her.

Her family influenced that sherrif, he tried and end run and got slapped down by a judge. Shame on the HILTON family for trying this end run.

Maybe next time the HILTON family will hire a baby sitter and SOBER driver for their little minx daughter who likes to flaunt her wealth, stature and name in front of everyone else.

NO ONE, including those with privilidge, MONEY and fame shoule be ABOVE the law.

Kudo’s to the judge. May the message get out to all the rest of the rich socilites. PARTY AT HOME or hire a driver, and follow the letter of the law!

#36 – Paris should not be in jail. 45 days? How many days did Mary Winkler get for killing her husband – a little over 250. 45 days is ridiculous for a driving on a suspended license from a DUI.
Celebrity backlash combined with a traffic court judge that wanted a little pub is all this is.
Just because it’s “Paris” doesn’t make it right. It feels good to many…but it ain’t right.

    48. Just Bearly on June 8th, 2007 10:28 pm

Paris is kind of a pawn here… in a power struggle between the Sherriff and the Judge.

I also think a much more appropriate sentence would be community service, and have her pick up trash on the side of the freeways for a couple hundred hours. That job would fit the crime and the person much better IMO.

    49. Skyboxx on June 8th, 2007 11:45 pm

      Bearly,

No dispute. But she has to do some time. Staying at home is not an option.

    50. Joanie on June 9th, 2007 1:34 am

Kitty! Love your idea of Paris helping other women in jail. All some of them need is a little hope. I don’t know if anyone saw the video of her home, but I saw something very disturbing. Her house is very clean and neat as a pin. She has some beautifil furnishings and gardens. HOWEVER…on every wall, on every table, stand and shelf were pictures of no one but HER! Paris has pictures of herself PLASTERED all over her house. This tells me just how self centered this young woman is. Ya know; she IS going to be old someday. What is she going to do when wrinkles appear?! In the future, I feel that she is a mental hospital case waiting to happen. Beauty does not last forever.

    51. just moma on June 9th, 2007 2:45 am

Working around the rich and famous at one time and having picked up a friend from a DUI at that jail (jails scare me and I’d probably have a nervous breakdown too, but they’d just switch me over to the psych. ward) does not make me an expert on Ms. Hilton. However IMO

She got more days than MOST not because she is rich and famous or the judge wants his “15 min. of fame” as one commenter said… but because she shine on and didn’t take seriously the DUI, the suspended license, didn’t do the community service rehab or whatever they had required her to do… I understand from the local news in LA she broke probations twice not counting the DUI and didn’t show up for the stuff she was required to do to STAY OUT OF JAIL!!!

IMO I think she shined on and p=off the wrong persons… ie the court system and the law. There is more she didn’t do that I didn’t hear tonight from only one talking head… about she had had time to make restitution in many ways and refused to do so.

I never really thought Paris was all that as far as beauty. She may have an attractive face, however the muscle tone and body never appealed too much to me. For a few years now, I have looked at her legs(she usually appears scantily clad), and my first impression is cellulite. Pity the young women who look to her as a peer or role model…. Her lifestyle is not one to emulate with the wish of good health and beauty. Paris is lucky though and will always be able to afford the best cosmetic surgery when everything on her body starts to wrinkle or sag.

    53. glad2bAmerican on June 9th, 2007 9:43 am

Paris was not shaking and rocking when she was being whisked away saying goodbye to her family at home.
She is no different than the next person not getting
her meds in jail. She may not get them when “SHE” wants them though…….
As the media reports they can assist
people with chemo & dialysis dieabetics etc…wait and yes, I like the idea her making the best of her time by helping others…Good idea!

    54. katablog.com on June 9th, 2007 12:08 pm

I don’t disagree that Paris needed a jail term to get it through her head that she was not above the law.

My objection is the hours and hours the media is spending on this. It’s a one liner in my opinion – Paris goes back to jail.

I’d rather seen media coverage of all the “terms” in the illegal immigration bill and see some real discussion on that. It the media would give this 1/2 the coverage they’ve given Paris, maybe some government people would get the message that we Americans don’t want 12-20 million people suddenly declared “legal” after having invaded our country illegally.

Maybe with a bit of discussion people would also realize just how much pork has been shoved in that bill to try and get votes. Maybe Americans would actually get to the point of revolt when they realize how they are being sold down the river by the very people they elected to represent them. THIS should be the mail discussion in this country at this time – not Paris Hilton.

Perhaps the Hiltons will see a need to set up a private, for profit jail. Hey, it’s not such a lame idea.
The guards ( and of course they would all be great lookin’)could wear little bell hop outfits designed by Gucci.
I am not turning on the TV today, had enuf of Paris and her ilk.

Hi JUST BEARLY! Are you new?! Welcome! I admit that my jaw was firmly dropped to the floor when I saw how many pictures of herself that Paris has. EVERYONE WAS OF HER! No art, no cutsie dog pictures, no landscapes – just herself all over her house! You are completely correct in that she will have the $$$$ to get the best skin lifts and all. I like a line from a popular KANSAS song from a few years back; ALL YOUR MONEY WON’T ANOTHER MINUTE BUY……” I sure hope that Paris Hilton learns how to become a mature human being. But, I might be asking wayyyyyy to much!

I wonder if- – Paris is on illegal drugs, in that she did not disclose the drugs she was on the first time around, and she was suffereing from not being on the drugs or alcohol. Sounds to me like a detox episode, because after the drug has drained from the body, the body reacts, sometimes violently, often by massive adrenaline release. PH’s doc is a celeb doc, and was Michael Jackson’s doc. Could it be that illegal drugs were prescribed? As in Anna Nichole’s case with her celeb doc from California.

Of course this is conjecture till more info is available.

Hi Joanie! No, not new. Been around Monkeys since Nat H. vanished 2 years ago and Scared Monkeys offered the best news updates and objective commentary.

I am no psychologist, but Paris probably worships herself and believes the world is revolving around her. Very extreme Narcissism. Alot of people are like that to some degree, but shes Narcissistic to the nth degree. (Lou Reed has a song about that. “Narcissis you’re so Viscious)

#50 ~ I hope as she’s sitting in that jail for 45 days, that she takes the time to think about her blessings in her life ~ I hope that she does help others, she surely could make a positive difference and it would give her purpose and direction in her lost life ~ all the money and material things in this world, won’t fulfill her ~ I am praying she gets God, gets real and gets honest with herself and becomes a more positive role model for the younger generation ~ all that being said ~ it’s a wake up call and I hope she’s paying attention.

BTW, didn’t Oprah just have a show with some guy from NYC who opened schools that are educating over 10,000 children ~ he was amazing and giving back to community and the world even with helping these kids… there was also school too, for parenting ~ now, that was powerful!

As for Paris ~ The media loves this stuff because folks buy their magazines and such … America needs to stop pedistalizing girls like this and if the media focused more on the men and women like shown on Oprah who are making differences in the world ~ things may change… I honestly don’t understand why Paris is even news ~ other than she’s very rich? Big deal ~ $ doesn’t make the person ~ and that is by no means, measure of success in a persons life ~ That judge did the right thing by sending her back ~ hopefully, she’ll learn a lot from these other women who are in there with her ~ surely, they all have a story , she’ll have her eyes opened ~ what she does next will be her decision.

If I see one more Paris story on tv,

I am going to lose control of my bowels…

er uh, I mean vowels! (a,e,i,o,u, and sometimes y.)

The Space Shuttle Challenger catastrophe got less coverage!

      This is just-a-ridiculous. -R. Ricardo

      Amen Brother!

We’re singing in the same choir & couldn’t agree with you more ~ it is RIDICULOUS ~ enough already!

Hi Kitty! I don’t know about you, but I don’t buy magazines like the ones Paris might be in. Never did. When I am in the stores, I never see any one with ‘those’ magazines in their shopping carts. ORRRRRRR; maybe cuz I am 49, that doesn’t interest me!!! But, who really does buy all of these magazines anyway? I know a few teen ladies and they never buy the fashion magazines either. Could it be that the media has nothing else they can talk about?! ATTENTION: THE NEWS HAS GONE ON VACATION FOR THE SUMMER> WE WILL NOW DO NOTHING BUT PARIS HILTON BULLITINS UNTILL FALL. I might wretch. :)

    63. Bun on June 10th, 2007 9:18 am

Did anyone notice how much Paris in the car going to jail looks like Tonya Harding with her skate problem at the judges table after her “fall from grace”?

    64. kitty on June 10th, 2007 5:11 pm

pllleeeeaaasssee ~ That’s a great question #62 ~ Who does buy this stuff??? NOT me, either! Now, if the media did a poll ~ that may be interesting… what would we like to hear, see, read about and what we do not like reading, hearing about… mmm… and are sick of ~ I don’t even watch the news anymore ~ statistics and too depressing ~

The media seems to be so out of touch ~ must be the long vacation they’ve been on!~ we sure need a vacation from it all ~ huh?
