Anna Nicole Smith Autopsy Finally Revealed … Died of Accidental Drug Overdose

The much anticipated autopsy of Anna Nicole Smith has been finally revealed to the public. The autopsy reveals that Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental overdose. Natural causes? Of course this does not mean that negligence may have not been involved. How convenient that mother and son die of the same cause about 6 months apart.

Anna Nicole Smith was on nine prescription medications that killed her in an accidental drug overdose, authorities said Monday, six weeks after the 39-year old former Playboy Playmate died in a hotel room.

“The cause of death was combined drug intoxication,” said Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Joshua Perper. “It looks like of she died of natural causes.”

Natural causes? You mean just like her son dying of an accidental overdose as well earlier this year? Who prescribes 9 medications that might interact in an adverse way? Who allows or enables one to take such medication in the first place? Didn’t Anna Nicole Smith have people who were paid to look out after her and handle her affairs?

In the days prior to her death, Smith had taken several antidepressants and antianxiety drugs medications, including methadone, human-growth hormones for longevity, weight loss and immunoglobulin drugs, Perper said. Her friends and psychiatrist said Smith had suffered from a 105-degree two days before her death. He said Smith was on anti-flu medication for a fever caused by a bacterial infection from the drugs she was taking.

Minutes earlier, the police chief of the Seminole Indian tribe, Charlie Tiger, announced that Smith died Feb. 8 of an accidental drug overdose, adding: “We found nothing to indicate any foul play.” (Sun Sentinel)

      Yeah right, “Accidental”.
I agree that Anna’s death did not appear to be a suicide. But given the criminal negligence of people like Dr. Kapoor, and HK Stern (buying a yacht with her limited funds instead of a trip to The Betty Ford Clinic!), and that freaky psychiatrist/friend who, as an MD, stood by as Anna slowly fried her brain. Along with the eerily similar death of Daniel less than 120 days before…
All of this suggests Anna was careening toward a lethal result. Criminal negligence indeed!

Did anyone see the interview on Fox with a private investigator who had talked to Daniel Smith? This man said that Daniel had come to him as he was worried about what HKS was doing to his mother. He also stated to this investigator that HKS had told him to ‘stay out of it’ and that he was afraid of HKS. Ya know….its just gonna be dropped with this overdose thing and HKS is going to get away with something. Now, maybe that woman can rest in peace.

Hopefully HK Stern will found guilty in Daniel’s death. I would think after they find out the truth in his death, maybe they will then go back to change the accidental to homicidal on Anna’s death certificate! Even if she did die from an overdose of drugs that were not illegal, I’m sure it was HK Stern who gave her toooooo much of her legal drugs. All the caregivers that saw her in that state should have taken her to a hospital or like Micah #1 above said to Betty Ford Clinic. I wouldn’t let my cats lay there and die with 105 temperature and all drugged out, unless I was HK Stern and wanted her to go to collect all her money!! Why else would Daniel die? Why else did he feed her all those drugs in the clown video WHILE SHE WAS PREGNANT!! He probably wanted her to lose that baby because he knew it wasn’t his and he didn’t want anyone else to get Anna’s estate after he killed her son and then her. Virgie was right with….”She better be careful, because she will be next!” Hopefully they will do some better investigating than they did with this Dr. Perper and the Florida investigators. I would hate to see HK Stern get off the hook like OJ did and like the Van der sloots did (did for now….we aren’t done with the Van der sloots/Kalpoes, are we?)

I found it apalling and then realized that this might be a ploy to see if HK or the other culprits might slip up. Maybe they are giving them some rope to play with here so they can later reel them in. I am sure HK is smart enough to not have things show up on his computer, especially if he did premeditate this whole thing.

Didn’t anyone find it odd that she was fine at 10:30 in the morning, rallying around and in good spirits, but goes back to bed and dies? No one ever mentioned when she would have had additional sleeping meds put in her. I know she took some the night before, but she presumably she had been awake that morning and then suddenly dies of an “accidental” overdose. So who gave her more sleeping meds? I highly doubt she would have taken them, then managed to undress, tuck herself into bed with her arms under the covers. I just don’t get how they could not see this as anything but a homicide unless this is a ploy to get to the real truth – to give them time to watch HK, his phone traffic, network traffic and movement, and so on.

What a sad, sad world we live in that murder has become so commonplace and accepted that we don’t even try to get the bad guys anymore! In fact, we tend to glorify them and keep them in the media that they feel “famous” instead of “infamous”!

    5. Mamagee on March 26th, 2007 4:10 pm

A Seminole Reservation?? How convenient for HKS. Can’t wait for the paternity results. I would not be surprised to find that Danielynn is the result of an insemination of sperm from Marshall. Why else would “Marshall” be included in the child’s name when ANS no longer even used it herself?

    6. bleachedblack on March 26th, 2007 5:05 pm

I am not at all suprised that the death of ANS has been ruled accidental. Think of the many famous people who have died from accidental overdoses! Rich, famous, and with so-called “handlers”. Were the deaths of the likes of such stars as Presley, Garland, Monroe, Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, Hank Williams, Belushi etc etc considered as possible murder cases?
They were substance abusers and all had the ever present entourage…..which didn’t change the outcome. HKS is a freeloader who was trying to keep his “free-ride” around . He failed, and no one is regretting this more than him.

    7. Joanie on March 26th, 2007 5:36 pm

That baby is next now. HKS has gotten away with this so far- why not go all the way?

    8. Carpe Noctem on March 26th, 2007 8:13 pm

Anna Nicole was not the Queen of England!!!

She wasn’t even Elton John… who is starting to

      look remarkably like the QE.

      damn!

Lay the ol’ girl to rest, huh? Anna, of course. Bless
yaaaa Anna, see you at “the big party.”

    9. Just Me on March 26th, 2007 11:54 pm

You know, while reading the comments I realized something.. And I am sure some will say Stern said it purposely with the ever ready camcorder running.. But one could also say he probably wasnt aware of every single drug she was taking. In the awful clown tape he ASKS her if this was a mushroom trip. Whether her denial of even knowing what a mushroom was the truth or not, she may have taken stuff without his initial knowledge.. Or knowledge period. -Shrug- I guess one could also say he planned it(the clown video).
I am not a Stern supporter at all but I dont really get off on bashing him either. My gut told me the day Daniel died Howard did it. My bad. I just wouldnt be surprised one bit.
I hope they continue to investigate.
I really hope the baby belongs to Birkhead. Stability doesnt seem to be a problem in his world, but I could be wrong.
Even if Stern didnt do anything to knock them both off, imo he is still culpable on many levels and not the only one.
Ultimately Anna is responsible for her own actions, but in the state of mind she was in, she left everybody around her responsible. Stern imo should have TRIED to do something to help her. What a shame.
Im glad the videos were stolen. Before anybody sold them for money orrr before they were destroyed… Get that baby out of there pu-leaze!!

    10. Patti on March 27th, 2007 5:22 pm

      Mama Gee:

I wouldn’t be surprised if the baby ends up being Marshall’s
either. Mr. Stern knows his law… and maybe there is some
thing that he is hanging his hat on in all of this. The
Marshall Estate hasn’t settled up with Anna and maybe a baby
was going to be their secret weapon to gain access to all
that moolah! Why else would she keep his sperm frozen at a
      sperm bank?

The other thing that he’s hanging his hat on, in my opinion,
is that private little ceremony that they had in the Bahamas
I heard it’s possible that a ceremony like that could be
viewed as a marriage, legally, because it was held in the
Bahamas (?). I don’t understand the reasoning; but I would
suppose that Howard thought of everything. My point is that
if it is viewed as a marriage, Howard may be entitled to,
atleast, half of her estate… baby or no baby.

Personally, I hate attorneys… but, this one may have known
just enough to set the hook. Anna probably didn’t fight him
as much, once her son died. He knew what her biggest
weakness was. I can picture him throwing all of Marshall’s
money up in the air and screaming, “It’s mine! ALL mine!”

    11. kitty on March 27th, 2007 10:55 pm

What were these particular 9 ‘medications?’

Were they perscribed by one Dr.? or several? How many pharmacies were used? (most track the usage of what you are on and their interactions)…

I was no fan of Anna Nicole Smith, but I must say, a woman’s life is gone due to negligance and now a dear child is Motherless ~ that is very sad.

    12. anniekwa on March 28th, 2007 12:30 pm

Patti and Mama Gee, don’t you think that if she had gotten the sperm out of the sperm bank (Marshall’s that is) that someone would have somehow leaked that by now? Also, wouldn’t Howard be more than willing to let them swab the baby to compare against Larry’s DNA then as well? He would not have put up a big fight because the comparison did not have to include his own (HKS) DNA, just Larry’s. Therefore, he could have kept quiet until his “opportune moment” about the child being Marshall’s. I just think it doesn’t follow logic that he would have fought Larry so much. It just racks up legal fees that he wouldn’t need if he indeed knew it was Marshall’s kid. He would have let Larry go forward with the DNA test, results would have shown it wasn’t Larry’s and then he could have told the world “I told you so” and acted like the baby was his. Then when he felt it was the best time, revealed the baby was actually Marshall’s to get the inheritance (only if it would be required to get the funds).

I also think that someone at the sperm bank would have leaked the info by now. There has been just far too much at stake. They could have made a lot of money selling the information to a tabloid, to some of the tabloid TV stations or whatever to have kept quiet. No matter how “ethical” one would like to believe people are at these places, there is always someone willing to leak information for cash.

I suspect Howard was reluctant to let Larry test because he knows that Larry is the most likely candidate. Thompson had had a vasectomy (and who knows, may have already been tested and proved it wasn’t his) and that leaves Larry. I know the “Prince” (and I say that laughably)believes he is the father, but obviously no one is taking him too seriously. I think he is just another “gold digger”. Larry is the only one that truly seems interested in the baby for herself. He seems like he wants to be her father and talks of raising her instead of talking about how much she is worth.

    13. Patti on March 29th, 2007 2:58 am

      Annie:

I agree with you whole-heartedly. I was simply saying that
I wouldn’t be surprised. I wouldn’t put it past Howard to
cook up a scheme like the one in my post. Basically,
making up a scenario, stating the same thing that you
said… Howard Stern is a gold digger, a liar and a cheat.

Can’t wait for the test, though.

Personally I (and everyone I know) am sick and tired of all the stall tactics being used in the paternity, custody and now the inquest. Stall, stall, stall while this baby is being kept away from her biological relatives. I am just a mom, and do not know nor work for any of these people, am not on any person’s team except the BABY’s Team.
This is not a call for a tourism boycott . . . yet . . . BUT it will be a call for a tourism boycott IF the baby is not immediately given to her biological relatives. If they give the baby to her biological families and do honest investigations about the deaths and drugs, fantastic. That would be the best outcome for Bahama’s Tourism and Reputation, which would then flouish.
Right now, it is a plea for Bahama so that their future reputation and tourism does not suffer like Aruba’s did. Bahama’s past, present, and future tourists please unite world-wide to Help protect Dannielynn and her future!

      Annie:

I do not doubt that HKS could/would be capable of convincing ANS to get a few samples and freeze them himself in case they needed an heir at some point.

Ruling out Larry is not going to be enough to satisfy ANS’s mother. She will insist HKS be tested as well. Then if it turns out to be neither one of theirs, grandma gets the baby and the money and HKS’s dig was all in vain.

There must be some explanation as to why the name Marshall is on her birth certificate.

I agree HKS too is a gold digger. Now, I guess we will all find out who is the better gold digger.

    16. Mamagee on March 29th, 2007 2:24 pm

Unfortunately, after the dig is over, there is going to be a baby girl who needs someone to care for HER more than the gold.

As a side note, if HKS exposed that Marshall was the father now, he would have the Marshall family joining the fight for custody. I believe HKS is a dog, but I think he is a clever and patient dog that digging up his bone one clot at a time.

However, this is nothing but speculation of course. I just am curious why Marshall was included in the baby’s name.

The Bahamas know they are being watched very closely when they have tons of personal opinion emails, letters, and phone calls directly to them. FLOOD Bahama with phone calls, letters, and emails! It takes people to open letters and emails, and answer ringing phones . . . those people will tell others about how the world is watching and telling their personal opinions regarding the BABY’s guardianship, CUSTODY, legal residency regarding the Horizons house, and all the investigations . . . they in turn remember Aruba (see scaredmonkeys.com or scaredmonkeys.net) and know that the world is quickly hearing about all the corruption in the Bahamas before and after Anna arrived (google Bahama corruption or similar plus Shane Gibson, and see all the other Gibsons’ in high offices) . . . and with the Bahama elections coming up soon, with these same Gibsons’ again running for high offices backed by the Prime Minister’s politial party . . . the legal residents of Bahama may put pressure on their officials to do right for their future economy and reputation. The judges might be separate from the government (like in Aruba) but they should want their island’s economy to prosper in the future. Look at all the stall tactics, PR firms being hired, and legal threats being used already . . . enough! Look at all the infant developmental milestones and memories being missed by her real relatives. This baby has the right to be with her biological families NOW !

Filming and laughing at a pregnant woman on drugs is horrid. Whatever went into Anna’s system also went into the baby’s and that should be a crime, not a “joke” as said on the tapes. This plus bringing in duffel bags of drugs while pregnant also is not fatherly nor showing love for a baby. Let them stall and appeal . . . while the baby is safe with her biological families bonding with them and away from the drugs!

Kidnappers do not go free just because they bonded with their hostage (google “Stockholm Syndrome”). No, I am not calling Stern a kidnapper, but IMO he is keeping a baby from it’s biological families (alledgedly wanting the control of the money for Anna’s likeness, use of her name, future books, movie rights, etc. plus the possible Marshall estate settlement arranged first – their lawyers’ words). Give the baby NOW to her biological family to be bonding and to be safer!

It is also impossible to bond with a child you are not allowed to be with daily, so the biological families should NOT be penalized for not being close when they can not physically get close to the baby daily. Please Bahama, give the baby immediately to her biological families.

IMO, Daniel and Anna’s biological families have more of a right to be present every day in the inquest than anyone else, so do not allow them to be kicked out of the room. They have the right to hear what all happened, and to have their lawyers ask questions too. IMO, lying on a legal document listing IMO a false father’s name, refusing to take a dna test, then stalling by appealing does not make a person a real father and is IMO not in the baby’s best interests. Give the baby to her real biological families NOW, Bahama!

Let Bahama know the whole WORLD”s FUTURE tourists are WATCHING their decisions (actions and non-actions) regarding the baby’s immediate GUARDIANSHIP being given to the baby’s biological families while the legal process is going on in the Bahamas; CUSTODY being given to her BIOLOGICAL father (Birkhead?) (yes, Stern – take the dna test yourself to prove you are the biological father) and if Birkhead is not the father then give her to her biological families; and please Bahama, dig deep and continue their INVESTIGATIONS into both deaths and all the drugs !

Every day Bahama allows the baby to be kept from her biological families affects Bahama’s future. The world is fed up, absolutely sick of this stalling, and will not tolerate this to continue without your island’s reputation and tourism being negatively affected. Give Dannielynn to her biological families NOW! Make the right decisions now for your future, Bahama!

PS – to those who do not agree with my personal opinions, that is fine because just as I have the right to my opinions, you have the right to yours.
This is an individual’s personal opinion, which each free individual has the right to have, asking for other concerned like-minded people world-wide to try to help an innocent baby. These emails, phone calls, letters, etc. are honest opinions made by honest people who could be future tourists.and are sent to those named on the list who are all public places and public or governmental figures. These type of correspondences (public or personal opinions, editorials, etc) are made daily world-wide to medias, governments, newspapers, etc If these newspaper companies, media places, and governments that received these personal opinion correspondences were to release the return addresses, etc. they would be sued by these same individuals who voice their personal opinions and who make up the bulk of their listeners, readers, and the bulk of their ratings.

People have a right to express their opinions without fear of being sued for libel or slander. So long as the statement of opinion is just an opinion, and does not contain specific facts that can be proved untrue. For example, “I didn’t like XYZ Restaurant. The wait staff is slow and the food is too spicy,” is a statement of personal opinion. “Whatever you do, don’t go to XYZ Restaurant. I had a hamburger there that was tainted with e.coli and had to be hospitalized for a week,” is a false statement if, in fact, the restaurant can prove that you never contracted e.coli and never spent any time in the hospital after eating there. Furthermore personal opinion is protected as a U. S. First Amendment right. Just be polite (use the golden rule), and be careful to state the facts by using words like, “therefore in my opinion…” (IMO).

      PS – 2
Alledgedly a PR firm has been hired to become active, including on the blogs. Their primary purpose is mainly to turn the majority of bloggers and internet users pro-Stern, and secondarily to DISRUPT the flow of the bloggers by engaging them in off subject comments, name callings, etc. whereby the blogs can not have an honest uninterrupted flow of opinions that they do not agree with nor want expressed. Personal advise learned from previous experiences:
Pretend there is a ignore button and simply flip past their posts without responding to any of them at all . . . IGNORE THEM ! (they hate that)

      BLOG SITES INFILTRATED BY BLOGGERS-FOR-HIRE
      The Houston Chronicle
      Wed Mar 28 2007

It has recently come to light that the lawyers representing Howard K. Stern have hired a public relations firm in an effort to turn his reputation around. A source who is an employee at the office of one of Stern’s several lawyers says that Stern’s team of advocates are “desperate” and “quite alarmed” that, despite their best efforts to sway public opinion in Mr. Stern’s favor, polls indicate that the vast majority of respondents remain vehemently convinced that Stern played a role in the deaths of model Anna Nicole Smith, 39, and her 20-year old son Daniel Wayne Smith.

“The lawyers are scrambling,” says the source, who prefers to remain anonymous. “I think they figured people would change their minds after the [autopsy] report was released.”

On Monday of this week, Dr.Joshua Perper, Medical Examiner for Broward County in Florida, released his autopsy findings. Dr. Perper determined that Ms. Smith died as a result of a drug overdose and that her death was an accident.

Based on one recent poll, 9 out of 10 respondents did not agree that her death was an accident.

“The blogs are saying differently,” our source said. “A lot of people are wondering how the medical examiner could base his findings on testimony that came from people who would be the first ones to lie if they had anything to hide.”

According to our source, the internet is filled with blogs, or message boards, where the public can post their opinions about the Anna Nicole Smith case. One such blog can be found at TMZ.com, an entertainment site that posts news related story about celebrities.

“Mr. Stern’s folks have been monitoring the blogs for months now,” our source said. “They’ve been trying really hard to change people minds [about Mr. Stern]. The problem has mushroomed and it’s beyond their capabilities to handle.

“I suppose because they’re figuring he may be facing charges here [in the United States], they hired our agency. Part of our job will be to go on the blogs and try to get people to change their minds about their client. People’s opinions can affect the jury pool and change the outcome of a trial.”

Coincidentally, Mr. Stern’s concerns about a tainted jury resulted in an unexpected delay in yesterday’s inquest proceedings in the Bahamas. The delay came about because of Mr. Stern’s wish to do away with the jury or at least have the opportunity to question the 7-person panel about their impartiality. Such a request is unprecedented. The inquest procedure is rooted in a Common Law tradition dating back almost 300 years.

He can stall, he can try to wish himself as the father or wish himself to have all that money, but the truth will eventually come out.

Mama Gee, I agree that he could be slimy enough to pocket some of the sperm and put it on ice and then have forced her to undergo a procedure to be impregnated. That I don’t doubt for a second. I also agree that he would be cool enough to wait it out and not reveal that it is Marshall’s until the Marshall money had been awarded (him assuming the baby would get it). However, what he can’t count on is loose lips. He clearly is running out of funds with all these legal fees he keeps self-incurring and didn’t have any funds before this (having only worked for Anna and leeching off of her). So I believe that he would be sold out by someone who had to be involved at some point if he did try and have Anna be impregnated by Marshall’s sperm. Therefore, I am still inclined to believe that he is afraid. I think that is why all these stall tactics. I think he is running scared that his house of cards are starting to tumble.

It would be interesting to watch if Larry were to take Greta’s advice (or rather her husband’s) and files for the test ordered in CA to take precedence over the tests done that now sit in Ohio and that it can all be settled here in the US and then he can file for “kidnapping” charges against Howard if indeed there is a match.

I think the Bahamas are only allowing these appeals in order to make sure that publically there is no reprecussion on their part. I am fairly certain his appeal today about the “jury questioning” will be denied once it is heard in the appellate court. They have been practicing this law for years and Howard isn’t even a Bahamian citizen. Who is he to force a change in law in their country?
