A Florida jury has found sex offender John Couey guilty of kidnapping, raping and murdering 9 year old Jessica Lunsford. The jury took 4 hours to reach their verdict, which is about 3 hours and 59 minutes too long.
MIAMI — A jury found a sex offender guilty Wednesday of kidnapping and raping a 9-year-old girl and burying her alive in a crime that led to a crackdown around the country on sex offenders.
Jurors deliberated about four hours before returning the verdict against John Evander Couey in the slaying of Jessica Lunsford, who was snatched from her bedroom in 2005 about 150 yards from the trailer where Couey had been living. (FOX News)

It’s impossible to think that justice can be done in this case. Nothing on Earth would be a sufficient penalty.
For the rest of my life, I think, that detail about the blue plastic dolphin will haunt my memory. It may be that no life is worth more or less than another life (I exclude from that idea animals such as the perpetrator, whose life is worth less than nothing in my view), but that detail about the dolphin will make this CRIME unforgettable.
I hope the animal is put to sleep in the proper manner: no yelling and screaming on TV, no talk shows, no fuss at all.

My son is the same age as Jessica. He has that same stuffed dolphin. To this day if I go to check on him and he has his arm around it sleeping, it brings tears to my eys and can take me to my knees. Just the thought of what that sick…sick…individual…did, makes my blood boil!!
Notice the complete indifference to what this POS did to a beautiful little girl is no different than the indifference of Jurine and the cowpoo’s….hell the whole island to Natalee & her family.

These defense attorneys should be very wary of the tactics they use just to win a case. They someday may be on the other table, with a defense attorney using the same tactics.

Castration is limited. They still have hands and not everyone could tell they had been castrated.

I watched some of this on court tv. Parts of it I couldn’t even stand to watch. While that creep is sitting there drawing with colored pencils, they are talking about what he done to this beautiful little girl. Unspeakable what she endured. Lured her out of bed by saying he was taking her to see her father. ditto bury him alive, it still wouldn’t be what he deserves. My heart breaks for Mark and the grandparents. They’ve got more class in their little finger than all of those creeps in that trailer put together. Couey should never have been out on the street to start with. When are they going to wake up and see what these creeps are doing to our youth and put them behind bars or send them to an island and let them “love” each other to death.
