   I saw that news last week and posted it in the Al Gore & DiCaprio caption contest because it sounded like the sort of sappy harebrained thing The Goracle and his Hollywood greenie followers would endorse.

   But all nonsense aside, I believe climate change is a serious issue and I strongly distrust persons who characterize it as irrational “paranoia.” And if the former Canadian defense minister espouses a paranoia, what will be said of Exxon Mobil? The poster child of Global Warming denial, Exxon Mobil, is now saying “the global ecosystem is showing signs of warming, particularly in polar areas” and “the appropriate debate isn’t on whether the climate is changing but rather should be on what we should be doing about it.” Yikes! Paranoia?

   We are paving over and polluting this entire planet. Whether or not it’s causing global warming, I don’t know, but it sure wouldn’t hurt to take it seriously and start cleaning up the enviroment that sustains human life before it’s no longer able to do so.
