Scared Monkeys Video Carlie’s Lounge Designated Driver … Order Something or else
Alcohol Drinking Discrimination
So much for having designated drivers these days. At least trying to be one when you visit Carlie’s Lounge.
An incident at Carlie’s Lounge on 49th Street in Pinellas Park on June 2, 2006 prompted Fasano to come up with the bill. Thirty-seven-year-old Gary Maujean says he ordered coke and water to drink because he was the designated driver, but was asked to leave because he didn’t order alcohol.
“The waitress comes over to me and tells me the owner told her to come over and tell me I needed to either order something to drink or leave the bar,” said Maujean.
Maujean says shortly after, he was roughed up by the owner and a bouncer, leaving him with 18 stitches. Maujean is suing, with the help of attorney Tom Carey, who is the former Florida chairman of MADD.

If this story is accurate(true), this gin mill should lose its license and I don’t care how popular it may be. But there may be more to the story than we know, so I will have a wait and see perspective while awaiting more information.
I believe there is an actual admission on the part of the bar that they threw him out because he did not order anything. The man claims he ordered a soda. Even so … not like his friends were not racking up a nice bar bill.

Wonder which one working at this place got custody of the brain.
