Jamie Skeeters Passed Away Today … Rest in Peace Jamie

Scared Monkeys lost a friend today when we learned that Jamie Skeeters passed away. This came as quite the shock this evening upon learning the news. You will be missed Jaime, Rest in Peace.Skeeters Prayers for you and your family from all of us at Scared Monkeys.

Wednesday, January 24, 2007

It is with great sadness that I inform you that our friend Jamie Skeeters passed away today. He was in his seat on a connecting flight in Memphis, TN, at the time. His lovely wife Kay asked me to pass this message on to you.

Please keep her and their family in prayer.

Bob Heard, CAPE Secretary

On a personal note. I have spoke to Jamie on numerous occasions, much of what was discussed was background information, sensitive and not to be repeated. Our conversations would go on for hours discussing the Natalee Holloway case and so much more. A simple 10 minute telephone call had a habit of turning into hours. But that is how Jaime was to deal with, easy to talk to and a wealth of knowledge. Jamie Skeeters’ professionalism was always apparent. I thank Jamie for the trust and respect he had in Scared Monkeys and myself to confide in me and ask my opinion on many matters. I will miss our talks Jamie, I already do.

You will be truly missed, God bless and rest in eternal peace.

I was very saddened to hear of Jamie’s death.
He was a good friend to the family, Natalee and this case.
Rest in peace Jamie. And my condolences to his wife Kay and his family.

    2. Richard on January 26th, 2007 6:24 am

Red, I obviously don’t speak for you … but I will assume that your attitude toward the Kalpoes’ claims that the Skeeters tapes were altered is the same as mine: it’s contemptible nonsense. Appropriate from that source.

      ________

SM: You would be correct. Skeeters version was never altered, I have heard the originals. One does not need to alter something when the other party did not know that a camera was rolling. Its called buyers remorse on the part of the person who was burned for making comments that they would not have made otherwise on a recorded TV show.

In any event I would take Jamie’s word and day over a self-professed liar with different versions of a missing person.

I am so saddened. We will miss you Jamie, you stood beside us all and fought the good fight for Natalee and her family. May you rest in peace. My prayers go out to your family, friends and loved ones.

How sad, such a good man his purpose was to uncover the lies and help find Natalee. My heart felt sympathy to Jamie’s wife and family. I know his work will not stop on this earth. Jamie our thanks for all you have done.

God Bless Jamie. He stood for TRUTH and made our world a better place. He will be missed by many.

My sincerest condolences to his family and all who love him.

    9. Dana on January 26th, 2007 10:37 am

Yes sad news for sure, I spoke to and emailed with Jamie many times and found him to be very credible and caring. Also I thank him for his many years of service as a law enforcement officer.

    10. Richard on January 26th, 2007 10:57 am

It’s no use speculating on how this news may affect the different lawsuits, of which the one we all care about is the family’s vs. the two scum.

Somehow, someday, things have to break in favor of the Holloway Twittys. I don’t know when, where, or how, but ever since May 30, 2005, they have faced an unending series of rebuffs in their search for basic justice.

I hate to think what the reaction to this news is in Aruba.

      May he rest in Peace.

Jamie was fighting for Natalee so
he is better than okay in my book!

World Journier posted this quote at BFN.
I brought it over because it is such an inspiring quote.

      What we do for ourselves,
      remains with us.
      What we do for others,
      remains, and is,
      Immortal.

      - Albert Pines

Let’s all keep fighting the good fight for Natalee.

    14. Para2legal on January 26th, 2007 1:52 pm

Yes it sometimes seems Natalee’s family doesn’t get a break while the evil ones get away with murder and mayhem.
Kudoos to Jamie Skeeters for trying to right a wrong. He and Natalee are both in the arms of angels.

    15. bc on January 26th, 2007 3:10 pm

Bless Jaime & his family at this time. Mr. Skeeters was brave and very dignified. I hope Dr. Phil has kind words for him –as well as Greta too for that matter.

    16. 2NJSons_Mom on January 26th, 2007 3:24 pm

My condolences to the Skeeters family. May their memories help them through this loss.

    17. Dan in Tx on January 26th, 2007 3:28 pm

It saddens me that Jamie didn’t live to see Natalee found.

There’s an old country-western song that asks, “Who’s going to fill their shoes?” and I can help but wonder who will fil Jamie’s shoes.

Godspeed, Mr. Skeeters. Nobody can doubt that your heart was in the right place.

    18. ariana on January 26th, 2007 4:40 pm

i was suprised at the professionalism and personal attention jamie attributed to natalie holloway’s case. i even emailed him a few times and spoke with him about some internet information i had found about aruba. i was completely suprised that he took the time to speak with me personally instead of having an assistant or prerecorded message. i am shocked and saddened by this news.

    19. dennisintn on January 26th, 2007 5:45 pm

jamie went out fighting the good fight. no man could ask for more.

i’m surprised the jvds lovers haven’t come out with “credible information” that natalee or beth are responsible for his death.

    20. Patti on January 26th, 2007 6:03 pm

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. May the spirit of Skeeter live on in our never-ending struggle for justice.

    21. Katie on January 26th, 2007 6:58 pm

I would like more information about Jamie’s death and is there anyone with this case going on that would want him out of the picture and is that being checked out? There has been so many people disapper and threatened since Natalee’s disapperarance the thought just crossed my mind. God Bless his family and loved ones. Jamie rest in peace as you were truly a friend of anyone who wants justice for Natalee. Jamie and Natalee Rest in Peace in Heaven!

Jamie is a true professional and the tapes would never be tampered with from him!

#19 I agree with your comment. I wondered if Aruba is
responsible since there are unaccountable & unjustified deaths there. We all knew the truth about the
Deepak interview….Aruba knew the truth also but chose denial! May justice prevail in the end.
Deepest sympathy for Jamie Skeeters family.

    23. yoyo muffintop on January 26th, 2007 9:30 pm

well dennisintn – looks like it’s the jvds haters that have come out, not the lovers (reference #21 & #22). what, did deepak slip on the plane dressed as a flight attendent?

The lengths some will go to tie everything to aruba/pj2k ceases to amaze me.

    24. Maggie on January 26th, 2007 9:35 pm

My deepest sympathy to Mr. Skeeters family. Such sad news and another tragedy in this whole case. I’ve said all along I believe Mr. Skeeters was an honorable and decent man. His record speaks for itself. I do not in anyway believe he doctored or altered any tapes and remained the president of the polygraph association. I would think after being in law enforcement so many years, he knew what really was going on in Natalee’s case. Just another tragedy in a long line of tragedies in this case. God speed Mr. Skeeters.

    25. Elaine on January 27th, 2007 12:13 am

Very sad news about Jamie’s passing. Condolences and sympathy to his wife and family. Deepak or Joran may not have slipped on the plane, as yoyo has insinuated some think. But, their lies and actions surely affected Mr Skeeters, and a lot of other caring people. People who care, yes care about strangers. People who care about evil social injustices. Rest in Peace Jamie, you will be missed.

I hope the FBI tells everyone the truth about the tapes so we can clear Jamie’s name.

    31. arubaboy on January 27th, 2007 11:45 am

#30 That is the BIG issue. The Dutch forensic said the tapes were tampered. The FBI must tell now their discovery on the tapes. We will know the truth as a result of the lawsuit of the Kalpoes.

#10 Richard, My deepest condolences and wish the family of Mr. Skeeters strength.

    32. Maggie on January 27th, 2007 4:16 pm

Didn’t say the tapes were tampered with. They said the one on dr. Phil’s show was manipulated in the words of Arlene(paidliar) Shippers. How else would you play a two hour tape in a few short minutes if you didn’t edit it? It never was said that Mr. Skeeters tape was altered.

On 11-23 when FOX News asked JAMIE SKEETERS what was his reaction to the ARUBAAN’s saying the one tape that aired on TV of Current Murder Suspect DEEPAK KALPOE’s statements/confessions was altered and two tapes were original? , SKEETERS said “Well, after doing about fifteen back flips when I first heard it this morning, I called chief Dompig. I asked him just what the heck’s going on cause I know those tapes were not altered. He said that somebody misunderstood him: that the tape I sent him, the DVD is authentic. It hasn’t been touched; it is authentic and nothing wrong with it. So I said, what’s going on?” When FOX News asked SKEETERS why now are the ARUBAAN’s saying that one tape is altered?, SKEETERS said “Well, again I asked the chief because we are on the same page chief Dompig and I. He assures me that my tape is the authentic one. So I said where are the dummy tapes? The cooked tapes? Apparently and to make this short, when I downloaded Deepak’s interview onto my DVD; it was on my computer to a DVD…I sent that to the Phil show. Apparently they downloaded my DVD to beta tapes that you use on television where he could take clips of it. Certainly there are going to be clips and evidence of a two hour interview put in ten seconds. This is what they’re talking about.” When FOX News commented then asked “So Jamie can I ask you…the clip that we heard where Deepak it could be suggested says that the boys had sex with Natalee. Specifically, that he did and it was very easy to do. Is that authentic? Is that what he told you when you interviewed him?,” SKEETERS said “Yes, the word was ‘you’d be surprised how simple it was.’ What you heard on the Dr. Phil is a two hour tape condensed into about an 8 or 10 second clip.
What you heard in that 8 seconds was not said in one breathe by Deepak; it was said in a period of over and hour and a half.” When FOX News asked what if ARUBAN Deputy Police chief ARUBAN Police commissioner GERALD DOMPIG was going to go back and talk to Deepak?, SKEETERS said “Yes, he says he’s going to bring him in. He says there were other things said on the tape that he definitely wants to talk to the boys about as well. I haven’t even heard the whole two hour tape yet myself because I got it off the island as soon as I downloaded it. But, he indicated they’re not sure if he says ‘they didn’t’ or ‘did.’ When I sent him a DVD because he only had the working models, even the chief says ‘Yes, I can hear what you’re saying and what he said.’ My old? grandmother can even hear what was said on those tapes from the laptop.”

    33. Carpe Noctem on January 27th, 2007 5:28 pm

“The Dutch forensic said the tapes were tampered.”

      1. They weren’t tampered with.

      2. Hey Rammstein, you keep telling us how the Dutch
and the Aruban Morons are two separate legal
entities. So…why is every time that incomp.,
do-nothing poor excuse for a cop named “GEROLD DOMPIG”
discovers some new evidence… why did he have to
ship it off to Dutch Forensics Teams in the Hague?
      3. Even if you remove the parts that the Aruban do-nothing
scum claims has been tampered with… it is still very
damning stuff. It is also a great insight in to Deepak’s
psyche, and how his small pea-brain sized functions.

      For instance-

pg 8 of the Dirtpack Kalpone / Jamie Skeeters transcripts:

      SKEETERS:
. And, I’d like to take care of you and your brother. If.. if Van der Sloot did it, that’s his problem. That’s his problem. Now, if he did it by accident, I’ll help him.

Deepak Kalpoe: Intentionally? From what I know, he would not.

      Jamie Skeeters: Never do that?

Deepak Kalpoe: Would not. But, um, you know… even though we are enemies right now, I’m not gonna bad talk him.

Jamie Skeeters: Oh, you shouldn’t. I mean…. Well… well, he did you wrong. But…

Deepak Kalpoe: Uh… he blamed everything on, you know, me, but um, I’m not angry at him.

Jamie Skeeters: Boy I’d be pissed.

      —DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!—–

(me too Jamie! – just more proof Dirtpack is a full-on POWER
SPHINCTER of a dumb ass MOE-RON – what a dork!)

Deepak Kalpoe: I know, but um, I won’t kill him for that or beat him up for that. It’s just, um…

      ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dearest DIRTPACK— In case no one broke down and told you this… let me! You are a panty-waist little wimp… if you were to enter a death cage match with the honorable Ms. Beth Holloway-Twitty… my money would be on Beth, ALL
      THE WAY.

I’d be video taping it too, taking bets on just how long
it would take to surgically remove one of her high-heels
from out of your ass. LOL.

What a twerp this dirty little twit is!

I believe the correct term is:

      “DELUSIONS
      OF GRANDEUR.”

      Again, God Bless Jamie Skeeters!

      How he kept a straight
face while talking to this peon of a freshly stashed squirrel nut, I will never figure it out. -J4N

I just popped on the read what’s going on and I had no idea about this. I had the opportunity to email Jamie on many occasions-and he was always such a gentleman and very gracious when answering all my questions. I am deeply saddened by this news. God Bless Jamie Skeeters and my condolences to his family.

To all of you…Thank you so much for saying such wonderful things about Jamie….We live in Ojai and when he was in town he would come into our store to see us and chat awhile. His funeral is tomorrow with full honors and then a big party at his house for the celebration of his life and what a life it was. The town will miss him and we will miss him.

    38. just moma on February 3rd, 2007 12:51 pm

I posted this on the Dana site and wish to post it here, also

I haven’t been reading the front page lately and am shocked to see that Mr. Skeeters has died! Being my age also, it is not “old”.

I am sure that the court case added stresses that didn’t need to ever happen in the first place.

A poster named Gary was posting on the front page that Mr. Skeeters was shopping his tape to the highest bidder.

Well, Gary, This is not true! How do I know this… well if someone were looking to “sell something to the highest bidder” the person sure wouldn’t just be giving it away to the FBI like he did and long before he would even be expected to do so! ie: long before the court case but after a version of the tape came from Aruba supposedly reported that was different than on his hard disk drive which he gave to the FBI when the media reported a different tape that was supposedly sent from Aruba govt. officials ie: prosecuter and head police (Dutch) to the Holland FBI

And you might ask why do I think he is an honest man… I emailed him once way, way before the court case about something private having to do with the parties mentioned on his team and he gave me a very honest email back, the content in which indicated his honesty… there were only two ways to answer my email based on what I had emailed him and he answered it honestly, for I knew enough info to know if he had taken the higher road in answering me honestly or not.

God Bless him and his family and may Natalee and her families find justice!

He and his firm’s Team are highly regarded as professionals in California and the world when you need their line of work. He would not have come this far if he wasn’t a professional.

He kept his chin high in the Marine way! I am sorry he didn’t live long enough to see his name cleared, but it will be cleared.

God Bless Mr. Skeeters and his family and all others in the world that take the higher road even when it has pitfalls.
