New Zealand Seems to be Able to Handle Crimes Against Tourists .. Why Can’t or Won’t Aruba?

New Zealand police get it, why can’t or won’t other?BayofIslands_Zealand

A Dutch newlywed couple on were abducted at gun point in the Bay of Islands by two men. The Dutch tourist couple was forced to withdraw money from ATM’s and the woman was assaulted before the two attackers dumped the couple on the side of a road.

Police say more charges are likely in the case of two men accused of abducting two Dutch tourists in the Bay of Islands.

The men, aged 27 and 29, were arrested on Tuesday night and face joint charges of rape, sexual violation, stupefying and aggravated robbery while armed with a 12-gauge shotgun. (TVNZ)

Kudos to the New Zealand police for carrying out a major operation which resulted in the arrests of a 27 and 29 year old men who attacked the couple. If only it was that way elsewhere when tourists are faced with crimes perpetrated against them.

Ironically enough, it was a Dutch couple who were the victims. Maybe their experience will stimulate them with zeal to protect tourists everywhere … and to get their government acting likewise. God, if I knew who they were I might try to write to them in this regard and do some “missionary” work.

After all, they have more influence on the Dutch government (I presume) than we do … and we know which pimple on the Dutch face is in the Caribbean….

I think the key word here is WON’T, remember, that most of those suspected in the Natalee Holloway murder have fled the island, so there wasn’t and isn’t any intent of care to make sure this crime is solved. Behind their masks of care for the island of Aruba, those can care less, remember they (suspects) stated they want to get on with their lives. Hey Aruba so did Natalee Hollway, she wanted to come home and go to college.

I think the heat is turned up on the island, can you smell searing pork?

HMMM–so a tourist woman was both abducted and assaulted and
CHARGES WERE PRESSED AGAINST THE PERPETRATORS.

      What a novel idea.

I think the only way we get justice here is street justice. Aruba isn’t going to do anything. I just hope the 3 punks are not walking around Aruba 12 years from now like OJ is here.

I think N.Z. has set a new standard, that others should follow.I doubt that the pimps will be walking around ,free in 12 years,to dumb.I don’t think they will stop, they have a taste for rape and degradation.

It’s easy, this time it’s a Dutch involved. If this crime was done by an Arubian to any tourist he would have been trown in jail, case closed! But because it’s a Dutch boy and company, ofcourse this was swept under the rug!

      New Zealand…

Remember we’re not working with a 3rd world country here like Aruba.

N.Z. has better education and better training. Not to mention a Kingdom that actually cares about their welfare and livelihood.

Aruba is expendable to the Netherlands and we all know that the only thing Aruba cares about is the tourisms all mighty dollar. They don’t care about Human Rights and Justice. And I blame all that on Netherlands. After all, they are the ones who taught that vicious cycle to them. Smuggling, trafficking, laundering.

Where I come from we go by the motto of an eye for an eye. Vigilante Justice. This will be the only way to get justice. The sooner the better.

      hey (kel)mac -

      just couldn’t stay away ???

I guess you already know the type of vigilante justice
I am hoping will served on every person in Aruba who is
responsible for what happened to Natalee !

Maybe that is why Karin Janssen is keeping the case
open – just to give all of those assholes a few more
months to enjoy life – because it will only be a matter
of time – and – well, you know the inevitable !

I’ve seen the preview of the Peter R de Vries show about Natalee (sunday 21.00 hour SB6 broadcasting). Two conclusion of peter is that:

1 This case can be solved if you make a team of let say 10 really experienced investagtors, and they stay one the Island let say for hALF A YEAR( he meant e really long time

2 Natalee is dead but is absolutle not in the sea

    12. Amsterdamned on November 24th, 2006 11:01 am

I’ve neard today that Joran according to Peter R de Vries is far more a suspect we will be believe than at this moment. Looking forward to sunday. Keep you update!

Well if Peter de Vries thinks (absolute) that Natalee is still on the island he must know alot more than we don’t. Curious what he has too say.

    14. Paris Hilton on November 24th, 2006 1:52 pm

Amsterdamned, de Vries did not say that.

Please watch the segment, it is online.
