Tourism Down, Inflation Up in Aruba according to the Central Bank of Aruba for September 2006

The Central Bank of Aruba has posted its monthly report for September 2006; even Chart down 1though the report mentions that the information about the number of sojourn tourists and the number of days they stayed is not yet available for the months of August and September, conveniently enough. However, here is the damaging information that they report does mention.

  • The average inflation pace on a yearly basis was also 4.1 percent, which means an acceleration of 0.9 percent point compared with same period a year ago.
  • price index figure for the family consumption in September was 4.1 percent higher that in September of 2005
  • The number of sojourn tourists and the number of days they stayed has dropped with respectively 10.2 and 7.2 percent in the first seven months of this year.
  • According to CBS, the room occupancy of the hotels show a drop of 2.5 to 66.6 percent for September, compared with last year.

So why are is the CBA not publishing information in their report the number of sojourn tourists and the number of days they stayed for August and September? Even though cruise ship numbers went up that is an insignificant figure in the big picture as compared to tourists who are hotel stay overs, purchase meals and other items during their stay in Aruba.  Could it be because the reported hotel occupancy rate for 2006 contraction of 2.5 percentage points to 66.6 percent? Its is hard to believe that one could provide the data for occupancy rates, but not for the number of sojourn tourists and the number of days they stayed in Aruba. Hard to believe in deed. It is November, isn’t it? What are they waiting for, Christmas?

Amigoe; November 13, 2006:  November Central Bank: Accelerated inflation

ORANJESTAD – The Central Bank of Aruba (CBA) has calculated that the price index figure for the family consumption in September was 4.1 percent higher that in September of 2005.  The average inflation pace on a yearly basis was also 4.1 percent, which means an acceleration of 0.9 percent point compared with same period a year ago.  This inflation percentage is 0.4 percent higher than de average annual inflation of the United States.

The Bank announced this in the recently published monthly report of September 2006.  This report also mentions that the information about the number of sojourn tourists and the number of days they stayed is not yet available for the months of August and September.  The last figures are from July 2006 and they show a decrease of respectively 9.1 and 5.4 percent, compared same period last year.

The number of sojourn tourists and the number of days they stayed has dropped with respectively 10.2 and 7.2 percent in the first seven months of this year.  However, according to CBS, the room occupancy of the hotels show a drop of 2.5 to 66.6 percent for September, compared with last year.  The number of cruise passengers and the number of cruise ships that called in has increased with 45.7 and 14.3 percent, compared with September of 2005.

CBA’s monthly report also shows that the money quantity has increased with 9.7 million florins or 0.4 percent to 2.473,3 million florins.  The net change in the money quantity is determined by changes in the net home- and net foreign active.  The increase of the money quantity is attributed to a net supply of exchange from abroad of 4.3 million florins.  The net foreign active was 625.9 millions at the end of September, which are 32.6 million florins less than the end of September of last year.

It’s bad alone that this would happen and does happen to young women all over the world, what is worse is when the ALE covers it all up.

I wonder if that 45 percent increase in the number of cruise ships that called could be a typo as that is not in line with all the other figures. Could it be 15% increase instead? Don’t know but what is glaring is the 66% occupancy rate for that would seem to be below the cost of running a resort.

The dollar or florin amounts are all that really matter rather than the actual head count for renting rooms below cost is not a relevant nor sustainable figure. It is odd that they have yet to release the actual tourist count, however, two months later. Guess AHATA is still fudging around with that information.

I did see a commercial on TV promoting Aruban tourism. Something about come to Aruba and dance. The colors were overly=bright and really garish looking, very poorly done, in my opinion. It did not look inviting at all but rather like the highly commercialized place Aruba truly is. I’m sure they do not want that image projected but it does appear they could have used better coloration in the filming as the colors are all so overly vivid as to almost hurt the eyes.

So it is the money that talks not a head count of discounted rates and under-costs occupancies. Next thing we know, the central bank will again be accused of publishing lies as was claimed last time they issued a report. It makes no sense for them to do that but some will claim anything rather than look at the real situation of Aruba’s economy.

Things were bad enough before the boycott which they continue to insist is having no effect whatsoever. The claim that tourism is actually up despite the negative figures seems to reflect the typical denial of the truth that is systemic in Aruba. Check out the live beach cams if you think there has been no decline. But even in the best of times, it appears Aruba has mismanaged wealth and income from the past in such a catastrophic manner as to be headed for some very hard times ahead.

Bad timing to be biting the hand that has fed the island all these years. Some very foolish people have been allowed to bring further hardship to Aruba for personal gain.

Pretty soon the drug dealers are going to leave Aruba since there will be no one to seel to except for the trolls and the murdering trash that inhabits this trash heap sandbar. Where is a good hurricane when we need one?

Yes I believe it will keep going down. Yes I think that is fair. Everyone blames America for what our leaders do and Aruba is no better. Aruba get rid of your leaders and give Natalee juctice now.

It is very simple to further the damage. State the case simply.
A woman is missing and the Aruban police took measures that indicate at least an effort to give suspects time to hide evidence.
Get this out to women’s groups, high school pta’s and request all women avoid Aruba to show solidarity with the premise that uninvestigated crimes against women will not be tolerated in Aruba or anywhere.

How many lives were destroyed by this nightmare? How sad that Natalee had to be the one to bring this horrible place to light.Who would have ever thought that lieruba would have so many secrets? I always thought that it was a wonderful place to visit…and then Natalee goes there and we never see or hear from her again. The filthy disgusting way they treat a grieving family that just wants answers….just horrible. Now it is Devils Island and it will NEVER get back its tourists. Never It will forever be referred to as the place where Natalee went missing/killed.

Though not an octagenarian quite yet, I can remember lyrics from the Bob Dylan song:

“And how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn’t see?
The answer, my friends, is blowing in the wind,
The answer is blowing in the wind.”

Hear the wind, Nelson Oduber? Do you hear it? It’s blowing over the arid rocky terrain of Aruba … penetrating through the crack houses … overwhelming the roar of the surf on your now-empty beaches … obliterating the messages of your paid hacks ….

AND IT IS CONTINUING TO COME. AND IT WILL BE.

You can’t shut out the sound of the wind. And maybe soon it will be a hurricane.

By the way, if anyone does spot a TV ad for Aruba, please jot down who ran it and let us all know. No reason for us to stop writing letters of protest … we did get Curves International to drop its ad campaign for Aruba.

#6, an increase of 45% in the number of cruise ships means nothing, if the passengers don’t want to run the gamut of pickpockets, drug addicts, drug salesmen, and predators on lieruba. they’d also have to associate themselves with people who condone and protect predators who pick on young girls and women, and a.l.e. and judges who can’t be bothered with proper investigations and prosecution of the predators if pushed by victims to do anything at all.

“Net foreign active was 625.99 millions at the end of Sept. which are 32.6 million florins less than the end of Sept of last year.” If I did the conversion correctly that 32.6 million less florins is $18.2 U.S. million. Difference in revenue Sept 05 vs. Sept 06. That’s a tremendous amount of “lost revenue” to be hemmoraging…Queenie thinking about selling the crown jewels to keep the vile island afloat…or just maybe giving Natalee’s family justice.

The depth of Beth’s grief goes beyond our imaginations. I pray for her and Dave every day. How she has handled this situation is simply an attestament to the wonderful person she is. I’m so glad Dr. Schuler gave her his blessing a few weeks ago. She needed that…as a mother looking and seeking answers for her beloved child. You can look at Beth’s face and see confusion, disbelief and a tremendous amount of grief. Beth has been up against a government that scorned, ridiculed and belittled not only her and the extended family, this government spread rumors and false innuendo about her daughter – her innocent daughter – the victim – was vilified beyond comprehension. Keep the family in your prayers. Keep up the boycott; from the sound of the reported lost $$ numbers and that’s what this island is all about, plain and simple – it’s the tourist $$, Aruba is losing. Aruba has nothing more and actually less to offer than most caribbean islands. It’s overpriced, everything is imported…but hey, it’s got one heck of a facade, it’s the “One Happy Island”. Until their number was up. For all I care the crappy island can implode…the sooner the better…but certain people have to be there when it does..and we know who they are.

I have a little story about her this week.

I was taking my 4 little (chi chi)girls to the backyard for an hour & when i went to bring them in, they all cmae running except sweet pea. I could hear her cry when i called her name & all the sudden i saw her, not in our backyard but the new next door neighbors back yard. My heart sank & panic set in coz the neighbor has a big pittbull. I was like WTH! I raced to the fence &tried to call sweetpea to the fence & show me the hole/gap where she got through. I couldn’t find any gap but my voice brought the pittbull from arround the house. He saw me & sweetpea & i picked up a big stick & screamed NOOOOOOOO!
I thought i was going to see my little girl torn to shreds right in front of my eyes. The gate was on the other side of neighbors house, i was yelling out hoping they’d hear me quickly & intervene. A lady came to the door but couldn’t help me coz she was afraid of her brothers dog. I asked her to talk to the dog through her back door to distract it so i could get back there & get sweetpea….but how? (btw i have a shoulder injury) The fence is 6 ft high & i couldn’t climb it coz it hurt to bad. I dragged something over to the fence & managed to dangle myself over the top of the fence & called her to me. The pitt came running as he heard my voice & i screamed NOOO & had to grab her by the head & hope i didn’t fall in with the pittbull.
I got her!~ I was cryingI did it! I saved her! I was bleeding from cuts i got on the fence & my shouldler hurt like a mofo. I started to cry & i asked aloud why….with all the horrible things going on in the world, would God hear my cries & spare me from watching my lil sweetpea being killed…..but i already knew why. Because little things Do matter in this world. One person (Natalee) does matter and a few people can make a differnce in this world.

We are all here for the long term, until Natalee is returned to her family and justice is served.

Mayan, was it a clear bag that the fat guy painting the rocks, put what appeared to be an arm in? I am wondering if it was the same type bag left at the water basin?

52 – Richard you’re right about that. Only 2 governors out of 50 had the kahunas to back the family and call for a boycott of the island. Guess the other 48 have raisins. And Condaleeza did NOTHING. (Can’t help but believe if Natalee had been THEIR child the case would have been solved June 1.)

Vander Straaten: Didn’t you say ” How can I do this to my best friends son?”

I wanna ask one question, how could you turn the other way when Natalee Holloway needed to be found and returned to her family?

How could you say this is a murder investigation, because you know the facts…..yet there be no solving this crime against Natalee…but how would you know this is a murder investigation?

It’s like the same question I ask of Pauless statement to Deepak, if there is no corpse, it is hard to tie them to a crime, well how did Pauless know Natalee was a corpse and why did he say they can’t be tied to a CRIME if there is no corpse.

You said it was a murder, Pauless said a corpse and a crime, so to me that means you and Pauless know the whats, where, how, and who did this to Natalee Holloway.

Do you all sleep good at nite, I don’t think so, I think someone is having sleepless nites worrying that the gavel will be dropped and justice will be served.

Straaten and Pauless, where is Natalee Holloway?

1906….No time to respond to your post yesterday but am in total aggreement with you about the cremation. If you play around with the time frames and sequence of events, look at everything that poor girls body is put through.
      1) First night, raped/murdered
      2) Heavy Battery (Wever boy)”suggests others were involved”
      3) Left in VDS bed for day.
      4) J2K given 10 day reprieve to rid themselves of evidence
      5) Body buried in shallow grave
      6) Landfill witness spots boys…forced to remove
      7) Culvert Again, boys hide, body is witnessed, even video recorded…they are probably getting frustrated at this point. Damn thing is barely large enough for the rats that it houses.
      8) The rocks which suggest a wholesale desecration of the body…Perhaps their plan was to feed to sharks…. Seems they were looking for a final solution at that point.
      9) ALE/ADP whichever you prefer… at some point takes possession of her body, body is so desecrated, the only humane thing left to do is cremate her… As we know, a cover-up is well underway and Ms Wever pays for it. Concur with your assessment!
With that said, this De Vries character would be a golden opportunity for Aruba and Holland to put this behind them….If they’d just use their brains for once, all this evidence(almost all) could be used to their advantage instead of leverage for blackmail by one side or the other…Justice could be served, closure provided to family and I dare say it..Aruba Wishful thinking on my part perhaps! This was just posted on BFN by Pearlinusa. This is suppose to take place on Nov. 30th which is my birthday! I couldnt think of a better birthday present than to watch them get what they deserve!!!!!

In an interview with David Kock yesterday by local media, he reminded them about the case that he has on November 30, 2006 representing the Kalpoe Brothers. He insists that the case is just not to clear their names in the Natalee Holloway case, but emphasized that the Kalpoe Brothers wanted the judge to either close the case against them or go to court and prove their involvement in the woman’s disappearance.

As we all know, this request was made back in July, but the court gave the Prosecutor an extension, since there were “new developments” back then that the judge could not make a decision. The case was already delayed because the prosecutor did not cooperate with the judge as he requested all the documents in the case.

On November 1, 2006 they got a new problem. All the documents, tapes and evidences were sent to the Netherlands to be reviewed. Kock said that the ALE reviewed them a few times over already, the FBI reviewed them as well and now, just to show that there is nothing new or overlooked in this case, the Dutch will have the same opportunity to do so. He said that there is nothing new in the case. Nothing has changed for months.
He also informed that Kalpoe’s request for a new working permit was denied in court (LAR). It has nothing to do with the case itself, but Aruba has a control system, where those who ask for working permit can be denied based on a decision made by the department of Labor. The immigration and naturalisation department issues working permits.

In Aruba, if there is any available Aruban that can work that job, a permit for a non-Aruban to work that same job is denied. Working permits are usually issued for areas where there is no Aruban available to fill that job, usually construction workers, hotel employees and others.

With this sentencing it just prohibits Kalpoe to work at the Internet Cafe. But he can always apply for other openings elsewhere.

This is more nonsense to pretend that there can be only one copy of the now famous dossier. We can’t find it because the files are in The Netherlands is about as valid an excuse as saying the dog ate my homework. Sometimes this investigation takes on a really immature tone.

Aruba.com is now running the same low budget ad on the National Geographic Channel. What is encouraging is when the ad pans to the last scene it shows only two people on a completely deserted beach. That’s about right.
We really do not have to boycott Aruba. What is needed is a good ad campaign to show just how unsafe Aruba really is; especially to young females from the USA. A good campaign that shows that the Aruban Police will sweep any act of violence against a tourist, under the rug.
Then if a tourist still decides to go there; then so be it and they takes their chances.

      Hey Roy, Waterboy, and 1006…

As far as the sequence goes you think it
went: water-basin to rocks, then out to sea?

I just have two questions about that sequencing.

      1. The body bag in the water basin I am pretty
convinced already has multiple dismembered bodies
in it. Do you think the grisly activity took
place at someplace other than the rocks?

      2. In the past week, I found what I believed to be traces
and smudges of white paint + a white paint looking
handprint with all 5 finger impressions showing.
Location: top rear wall of the basin.

      http://tinyurl.com/yjtjfl

If the sequence went from BASIN to ROCKS…
That wouldn’t take in to consideration the
hand print. Unless of course you had ruled
out the handprint as being unrelated.

From the very beginning we were very honest and up front as to what would occur if Aruban officials were not sincere in their investigation. We told the good people of Aruba what would occur if the made the investigation a farce and put tourism over an investigation. We even told Arubans and their voters that the most important issue during their elections was Natalee Holloway. Pridefully, they stated it was not. Instead, Aruba lived in a world of denial that this all would blow over. Americans would forget. They would come flocking back. Could Aruba have been any more wrong? Looking back in hindsight Aruba at your tourism and economy, do you think now that Natalee Holloway was not the most important issue? The downfall of your tourism and economy can be traced back to that one event. [...]

    88. Tazman on November 14th, 2006 8:54 pm

      #84: To Realist

      Here is your logical answer.

      1. Because the judicial system of Aruba acted unprofessionally towards this case. Because the judicial system of Aruba gave an Aruban lawyer, fellow member of the legal community, future judge of Aruba, parent of one of the (alleged) criminals, preferential treatment in accessing the files of the case, discussing the case among other judicial persons, and was allowed to influence the case because of his knowledge of the Aruban law. This person who is supposed to uphold the laws of Aruba used his legal knowledge to assist his son, the 2 other (alleged criminals) and others in evading the due process of the law.

Now here is the rest of your logical answer.

      2. Because the people of Aruba did not demand justice in this case. Because the people of Aruba have allowed their judicial system to be lazy, cowardly and abusive towards one another and towards the people of Aruba.

Because even though the income of the people of Aruba is dependent upon tourists, they do not care about the safety of the tourists.

      To Carpe,

      Hey Roy, Waterboy, and 1006…

As far as the sequence goes you think it
went: water-basin to rocks, then out to sea?

      To Carpe,

As grizzly as it sounds, between other things I did this afternoon, I gave this all a lot of thought.

Yes, from rocks to water-basin makes more sense. Parts may have just been taken out a distance and simply thrown into the water. This might account for body parts that were found and then discounted by police, and discarded i.e. lost by police.

The Wever kid might have arranged for Cremation. This is very likely. 1906 feels strongly that this happen, could be.

I believe it is all fitting together. It has never made this much sense before. The thought of someone (I think we all know who) dismembering bodies with a large knife gives new meaning to the picture of (someone) with a belt around someone else’s neck.

We have one sick, sick, kid (s) on the island of Aruba. A sick and sorry soul of a human. A soul lead, controlled, and ruled by the one called among other things, the deceiver. To turn him, (them) loose on the world is a dastardly deed, and one that will only cause much grief.

Can God turn this hopeless situation around? Yes. He can and does do things our minds cannot even comprehend. What man intends for evil, God can turn to good. We have all seen this. We all may have not recognized this.

    92. Waterboy (previously, Jerry) on November 14th, 2006 11:38 pm

      To all,

An added note. There must have been other girls (women) picked up at C. n Cs that night—or at some other stop along the way.

“I don’t even know these people (girls).”

    93. Waterboy (previously, Jerry) on November 15th, 2006 7:47 am

There appears to be evidence that there is more than one body in the white bag. There are at least 2 or more. I feel strongly (85 to 90%) that Natalee’s body is in the bag.

There are those that have surmised that Natalee may have died of a drug overdose or acute alcohol poisoning. Why does this not seem logical if there is more than one body in the bag, and one is Natalee? The reason is that others died also. They were murdered either to hush them, or for some sick reasoning of a psychotic minded individual(s).

There are only 3 assumptions that I can see: 1. Natalee was murdered, along with other “people, presumable females, 2. Natalee died in an accident or drug overdose, and others were murdered to hide this 3. Others were murdered, and Natalee (as a witness) was murdered to cover this.

The third assumption is an interesting one. Suppose someone was hit with the car while Natalee was with J2K and they killed her to keep her from going to the police. This would involve everyone, and keep all from talking.

Don’t get me wrong. I think there is no innocent accident here. There is murder on a most bizarre and hideous scale. There are crimes here on the scale of Jack the Ripper.

There is corruption here like is seen in parts of Mexico—the Laredo, Texas area, where entire groups of people are killed, the bodies disposed of, witnesses murdered and disposed of, and the police (Mexican) cover everything. If media reports on the crimes, then reporters die also. Because there is no justice, revenge ensues, which breeds more revenge, and on and on we go.

      #88 & #89: Tazman & Indydan

I will not go into a superficial conversation with you guys.
I will just point out how easy one could twist the story in their favor:
The aruban lawyer (future judge) you are talking about is NOT I repeat NOT aruban.
He’s is dutch. As for the Kalpos…their from suriname (look it up, you’ll learn something). So again my question (a little easier so you can understand better):
Why would an aruban government protect three people that are not even aruban and bring down their whole island (before you go into attack mode..stop and think about…I KNOW it’s hard to do). It doesn’t make sense..hhmmm..maybe the aruban government really doesn’t know anything and is just very sorry (and yes they are..as expressed to the family) that in the beginning they may have made some mistakes in the investigation (which also happens in the USA every day).

      _________

SM: It does not matter whether the judge is from or not from Aruba or the fact that they are Dutch. One Corrupt Island. These same non-Aruban judges also let suspects out of jail. Everybody knows the nationalities of the suspects … we also know that the prime suspect is Dutch.

It makes sense to keep people quiet doesn’t it? The ground work for this was set the minute that the ALE did not properly investigate the crime, nor take it seriously. All one has to do is compare how the two sec guards were treated and their houses searched vs. the last three people known to be with her.

On an island where civil liberties can be taken away if one wants to and a person can be arrested on “suspicion” of murder … it makes no sense that 3 suspects would have been allowed to get their stories in line, and walk around Aruba as if nothing happened. Their homes should have been searched day 1, clothes confiscated, DNA taken and property confiscated.

Why would Aruba defend these three? Maybe because political favors were called in. Aruban officials thought this was going to blow over in 2-4 days. Now they have to defend and cover up their actions. Its hard to cover all bases in retospect, especially when you are covering for a crime.

      R

If you truly belief that these three were protected because of political favors (and hereby drowning a whole island) I really cannot go into a realistic conversation with you. You still have not given me a concrete answer on WHY they would protect these three. It’s inconceivable to think that that is the case.
As suppose to you I’m not trying to attack anybody…just trying to understand why you are so angry at a whole island.

    96. chris on November 15th, 2006 9:49 am

Realist, let’s get real. As you told Tazman and IndyDan so nicely, maybe YOU can understand this. The reason the Aruban Government is protecting/covering up for Joran, his dad and the Kalpoes, is because the cover-up goes way beyond just those. And I do mean in the government. Four insignificient little swine could not have accomplished what was done to Natalee on their own. Or perhaps the Mafia was involved, oh silly me, you don’t have that on your crimeless, drugless little paradise.
Just wait til one of your own disappears, cuts his or her legs off and sets himself on fire. What a place!…..chris

My point exactly..spewing anger with no answer. If you know so much..tell me WHY the cover-up (and I mean the “way beyond” cover ups you are talking about). It’s a very simple question that becomes very hard to answer if you don’t have an answer for it.
And please let’s not get into a debate which country (hint hint) or island is more dangerous by pointing out cases.
I saw on the news that someone was torched in his car 2 days ago maybe 2 miles from here…oops..you didn’t know I was American. Get REAL and do your homework before spewing your ignorance. You may have an opinion but this is about Justice Natalee Holloway not about explaining why to you or anyone else who is unable to get it. It’s very plain you have no clue.

[...] Edison Briesen may be in line to becoming the next Baghdad Bob. Must be nice to be surrounded by “yes” men. Makes one feel important, but hardly effective or informed. Minister Briesen, your tourism is terrible. According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) tourism has done well in the Caribbean exceeding the global growth average by 5.1 percent. Everyone except you. Aruba is on pace with Uruguay. [...]

      To Dave:

      AND….guess what..STILL no answer.
      You talk about justice???
For some reason I can’t seem to notice how much people in this forum are enjoying the fact that 99996 (out of approx. 100000 people living in Aruba) people are being hurt (yes, I took out the 4 bastards that caused this attention) by this negative spotlight. And you talk about justice…PLEASE.
So don’t talk to me about ignorance…you give the word new meaning.

      ________

SM: Blame those who are responsible for your plight. No one really releshes in the misfortune of others. The fact that Arubans blame Americans for their lack of tourism is as small minded and ignorant as it gets. You best blame those that caused the problem. Who were the last to be seen with Natalee Holloway?

      Realist,
Are you really that blind, or not just paying attention and talking smack!? Lets see, where do you want to start? Your boy PVDS was bed buddies with the chief investagator, who allowed him to sit in on his punk ass kids interview, and then change his statement, and destroy the original! Then they come out and say that they have a cofession that one of the little shits say that they killed Natalee and they are on the way to recover her body. But the next day they say it was misinformation. The FBI wasnt allowed to do a damn thing except watch, and from the lead FBI in charge, stated the they lead the shits to say what was need to make them look sowhat less guilty. They arrest 2 black guys right off the bat even though they have video proof before they arrest them, but do it anyway and tear thier house apart. But yet they wait 10 days to arrest the right people giving them time to destroy evidence and dispose of the body so no one can pin it on them for the most part. And as for the search, PVDS only allows a search that he wants and YOUR judge allows this is the search warrant.
I can go on and on and on, but the bottom line is, your not smart enough to keep up, otherwise you would have read the complete case file and now that its a very serious and deep coverup by the shitbag murders, the justice system, the court and the government. So cry all you want about how nobody is given you a straight answer that is fact, but yet the afore mentioned is all fact and the is a shit load more to go with it!! So wise up or shut up, either way I dont care, but you are not after what we are, and that is justice for Natalee!

    102. Realist on November 15th, 2006 1:24 pm

      Temper temper airgame,

Maybe it’s hard for you to read but in my comment (not attack) I called all 4 of them BASTARDS for bringing up this attention to Aruba (so don’t call him my boy) and if it were up to me I would want to kick them of the island as much as you do..probably a bit more. So yes..we can agree on at least something. And if you read my comments way before (I know it’s hard..) I acknowledge the fact that there were very grave mistakes made.
But yet I want you to explain to me how this bashing and boycotting will help you find any answers if it has been over a year without any results. Isn’t it time to focus on answers instead of trying to find ways how to attack aruba. And I quote: “I can go on and on, but the bottom line is, YOU ARE or YOU’RE (not your) not smart enough to keep up” ;-)

      To Realist:

You repeatedly claim that we are angry when you are the one attacking us. You continue to attack our intelligence and claim that we are having difficulty reading your comments when you discount ours. I understand what you are writing about loud and clear. I suggest that you and your temper take a sidebar and determine what is heating you up. The father is a judge now. The nationality of the people working in the government was never brought up by us but by you. If you are saying that because they are of different ethnic origin, and that the Aruban people haven’t anything to do with demanding they do their government jobs properly and thoroughly, then I call bullshit on you! What are you saying about the Aruban people? Are they a bunch of idiots that have to sit back on their asses and let criminals take over their island? Who pays the Aruban judicial system their salaries? Is it the Aruban tax dollars that pay their income? If you are an Aruban then you should be spitting mad at your government for not solving this crime. Not us. And I mean solving it, not closing the files and saying that she “disappeared”. It is in the best interest of Aruba and its tourist industry for the Aruban people to stand up and demand action from their government.

      Realist,
All right ye of little brains and probably a lot eles! This is how it helps to bash the island, and you. Its because you and your damn island have the backbone of a jelly fish! Stand up against all the coruption and do something about it if you dont like it. But being spineless as you and your island are, we know that will never happen. And till we get the justice we so deserve Patti Jr., we wont stop! So if the truth hurts, tough shit. Hell, you have enough time on your hands to talk shit even when you get smaked up side the head with the truth, to pick out gramatical errors, lets see you do something to fix you and YOU’RE sandbar trash heap of a island.

    106. airgame12 on November 16th, 2006 1:12 am

      Tazman,
I think this dimwit is Patti in disguise! Amazing how when you put the know facts out there to dis-prove this clown, then he wants to play a english teacher. Maybe Red can find out where IT is posting from since IT claims to be American, which I strongly doubt. Good job buddy, and keep up the great work!

Seems to me that the majority of us are in earnest in keeping this case out in the open and ongoing until it is solved. A crime has been committed on Aruba against Natalee Holloway and the criminals have to be arrested, tried and convicted. The Aruban people and their government are not helpless and can solve this case. Once Natalee has been returned to her family and the criminals have been arrested and due process of the law has been done, the Arubans shouldn’t have to worry about tourism. All the TV hoopla following the trial will generate income for Aruba, especially if there is a conviction. News crews can do PR features showing the island in a positive light once this crime has been solved.

It only takes a few brave people on or off of that island who know the truth to get together and solve this crime. Contact the FBI. Or, contact Scared Monkeys. Do something.

As of the last tourism reports, Aruba is still in decline. Thus, all this is truly offering is a cheaper way to offer an incentive for the same existing tourists to fly to Aruba rather than on more expensive larger traditional carriers.
