Once again in Aruba … its all about the money … Can these people be any more short 
sighted? One would not have to worry about their financial situation, if you had taken care of business and properly investigated a crime against a tourist.
The reputation and name of Aruba on the international financial market is at stake, says minister Nilo Swaen (MEP) of Finance and Economic Affairs
Aruba, News Flash … You best worry about the reputation of your island in general. Aruba would worry about their financial reputation? Aruba’s reputation has been in question and at stake since 5/30/05. The manner in how Aruban officials showed the world that the covering up a crime was more important and a tourism at all cost vision is apparent to all. Your reputation is already toast for the most part as seen by the continual decline in tourism since the charade known as the Natalee Holloway investigation. 
It is too bad that the Aruban officials did not take the reputation of Aruba as serious as they do when it comes to the almighty florin.
Swaen indicated in a reaction that in the past five years, the Netherlands has never mentioned that there are stipulations with borrowing money in foreign countries. Aruba participates in the international financial market and is being monitored by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Fitch Ratings. According to the minister, Aruba has better ratings this year compared to last year.
On November 1, 2006 Deepak and Satish’s attorney, David Kock, will petition the Aruban courts to have his clients taken off the suspect list in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. The interview can be heard here with David Kock as too what he sets out to do for his clients.
We have said for months, hopefully Aruba will listen or they will not have to worry about any financial reputation … as their overall reputation will be gone, if it already is not beyond repair. Maybe some in Aruba would like to explain, for a legal system that relies so much on “hard evidence” like DNA and confessions why no such tests were done on the three suspects and their possessions day 1? Instead, they were allowed to get rid of any potential evidence. Think your reputation is not gone? Tourists do not go to Aruba not because they fear of safety … they fear that they will be provided no justice if heaven forbid something happens to them. That is Aruba’s legacy. There is another word Aruban officials may want to concern themselves with as well, honor.
What is good for the three suspects, Joran Van der Sloot, Deepak Kalpoe and Satish Kalpoe … is terrible for Aruba, its people and its economy. One would have thought they would have figured this out with their non-existent tourism.

Minister Nicolaà ¯ is looking for alternatives, so that Aruba can still borrow money.
ORANJESTAD – The reputation and name of Aruba on the international financial market is at stake, says minister Nilo Swaen (MEP) of Finance and Economic Affairs, as a result of the conditions that the Netherlands had laid down for borrowing money abroad.
These statements are in the report of the meeting between the Aruban and Dutch government of last Monday. The Aruban ministers that attended this meeting were Premier Nelson Oduber, Finance-minister Swaen, Justice-minister Rudy Croes (MEP) and minister Plenipotentiary Frido Croes (MEP), and the Dutch minister for Governmental Renewal and Kingdom Relations, Atzo Nicolaà ¯ (VVD).
It appears that Nicolaà ¯ is looking for alternatives, now that according to him, Aruba can not agree with the conditions, namely that the Federal Minister Council must also approve the local loans. As Amigoe reported earlier, the minister wants to include a Dutch expert in the Aruban committee Public Finances that amongst others is working on the budget standard. This committee will have to report to the Federal Council of Ministers and the federal government will also have to monitor the recommendations, said Nicolaà ¯. He continues saying that the budget standards of the kingdom countries must be laid down in a statute law.
Swaen indicated in a reaction that in the past five years, the Netherlands has never mentioned that there are stipulations with borrowing money in foreign countries. According to the minister, Aruba has better ratings this year compared to last year.
According to the minister, there was a quick scan and the idea based on this is, that Dutch experts work together with Aruban civil servants in order to make corrections. When necessary, Aruba has always cooperated with the Netherlands. The two countries should not be treating each other like this, said the minister.
With regard to the committee Public Finances, Swaen indicates that the government is already planning to suggest the Parliament to establish a budget standard via a national ordinance and not via a statute law. However, for official reasons, he cannot agree with reporting the progress of the committee to the Federal Council of Ministers, because it is an internal matter.
He finally points out that when other interests are at stake, and with that he means the negotiations regarding more collaboration with the other islands, they should discussed it openly. There is no longer a mutual trust, concluded Swaen.
Nicolaà ¯ said on Wednesday during the press conference in Curacao, that Aruba does not play a part in the governmental deliberation that takes place in The Hague next week Wednesday. Minister Plenipotentiary Croes will basically attend this meeting as observer.
The following persons were present at the conversations for Aruba: Prime Minister Nelson Oduber, Finance-minister Swaen, Justice-minister Rudy Croes, minister Plenipotentiary Frido Croes, and the (official) employees Peter Davidse, Erwin Croes and Bano Lopez. For the Netherlands were present: minister Nicolaà ¯, Representative of the Netherlands in Aruba Rens Knegt, and a press officer of minister Nicolaà ¯.

WTF is this………..Some cop down there named Halley was seen by a eye witness taking a body out of the sand dunes before the inital search. This eye witness statement was taped and given to the police by Art Wood. And now they dont know wtf people are talking about. I had never heard this before reading into the case files. Now we know for sure that the cover up is for real just in case you had any doubt……….I didnt!

Aruba has shown that they do not take crime against tourists seriously. They will blame the victim. They lie about the level of crime and safety on the island. They don’t seem to think much of Americans, but admit they need our tourism dollars. They don’t enforce their laws very well, at least not if you’re Dutch and Dad has friends in the right places. If there is a problem in the news, authorities will either not speak to the press or might lie to them. It’s my belief and my advice that if an investigator or prosecutor in any country finds the family of a missing person to be difficult or aggressive, if they find the victim wasn’t destined for sainthood, they should still try to solve the crime. And if you’re a member of law enforcement or the judiciary in any country and the family member of a friend may be involved in a crime, you should recuse yourself from the case. Oh yea, one more piece of advice. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. How do you say that in Dutch and Papamiento?

Ok class. Here is the deal. Aruba has dragged this out as long as they can. May 31, 2007 is the drop dead date for this case to go cold.
In executing a cover-up with multiple perpetrators, it is best to slowly extract each from the case. By doing this, you ‘add layers to the onion’ and make it virtually impossible to prosecute the case.
You saw this at first with Paulus Van Der Sloot. This was a classic cover-up step to distance and insulate the main perpetrator, Paulus Vand Der Sloot, from the case. They have successfully accomplished this, and, you will note that the Dutch Investigators are not doing squat about reversing and VOIDING the judgements made to protect Paulus by his black robed buddies.
Now that Paulus is clear, it is time to extract the next level of perps from the case. This would be the Kalpoes. Watch on November 1, to your amazement, that the Judges will rule to throw Deepak and Satish out of this case. Most likely they, too, will also sue like Paulus did – in order to further distance and insulate them from prosecution under this case.
This leaves Joran. Sorry, but nothing will happen to Joran. The case will be run out to May 31st, and then Joran will be declared inncocent as there wasn’t enough evidence.
Cover-up complete. Somehow, you have to remove the Kalpoes…and this is being done this week. Watch the onion peels be added to this onion.
This concludes your lesson in how to execute a cover-up.

I have listen to the original, unedited Skeeters recording of Deepak and also to version that has been enhanced. I clearly hear an admission that all 3 suspects had sex with Natalee that night. However, he might have been lying because he wanted Natalee to appear to be a slut, but what he said is what he said. Those who hear something difference are simply using their vivid imaginations and are hearing syllables (sounds) that are simply not there. I remember people in Aruba hearing Deepak say, “You’d be amazed at how easy it would have been that night.” They simply added words that are simply not there in an attempt to change the recordings meaning.
My point is that Deepak hated Natalee and could have easily killed her with or without Joran’s help. This case may be simply a murder without a sexual component and racial hatred may be the real motive.
Here are some questions that haven’t been discussed extensively on this board very:
1. Why did the suspects kill Natalee? What is their likely motive? Why do they all hate Natalee so much? What could she have possibly done to get them so angry. Did they kill Natalee simply because they thought she was a racist?
2. Assuming Joran killed Natalee by himself, could he have disposed on her body by himself or did he have help? Who could have helped him?
3. What holds all the suspects together? Why would so many people agree to lie and why would they stick together after all this time unless they were all involved in her murder. But if many people are involved how are they all able to keep their months quiet.
4. Why have so many people in Aruba lied about so much involving this case? To an outsider, it almost appears that lying is the national past-time of Aruba.
5. Was the Paulus VS property and residence ever searched? Was his car ever searched? I have not seen any evidence that such searches were done.
6. Was Joran a good swimmer? Did he or his friends have access to a boat? Disposing of her body in water doesn’t appear to be easy without a prior arrangement for a boat.
7. Have voice stress analysis been done on the many interviews given by the suspects, their family members and witnesses? Couldn’t such analysis help to separate the truthful statements from the lies?
8. Joran probably killed Natalee by himself, but there are a dozen scenarios in which others could have involved–esp. in disposing of her body. Deepak probably knows more than he is saying, but there is certainly a chance that he wasn’t involved in her murder and/or accidental death. Only Joran seems to have the intelligence to have committed the crime by himself and finding a way to dispose of her body near where she died. Where did Natalee die?
9. Why do the suspects disagree on visiting the lighthouse before to the HI beach? Why do they disagree on which K2 brother if any picked up Joran after he left Natalee? Is Joran trying to create an alibi for his father?

Who leaked the pictures of Paulus hitting on Natalee at the casino?
Who video’d the recovery of her body and then the infamous crime scene destruction?
Clearly, there is someone on Aruba that wants to make sure Paulus gets nabbed. Its just a little too obvious that they kept leaking things that put Paulus in a bad light (and, coincidentally, Aruba has refused to comment on any of these incidents).
Yes, Joran and the 2 Kalpoes are accomplices; but Paulus Van Der Sloot is your key perpetrator in this crime. Anita was away….and frankly, Natalee was a little better looking then Anita.

Sometimes the only reason a person kills another is just to see what it feels like. In most of those cases the victim does not know the perp, its easier to depersonalize a stranger. Joran & co. had drugged young girls, raped & filmed it & has been said tried or did sell the video. Now if you take out the selling part you’re left with these guys must really enjoy sex with unconcious people & it could be said its just a step away from having sex with dead body…..necro. The selling of video’s with girls unconcious is so bizarre, i’m like…..who the hell wants to pay to see that? Sadly we’ve been witness to a culture of men who earn their living off the backs of their women, their tears & plea’s mean nothing to these men who go home to a family & act like its just another day at the office. And i think there is not much thats taboo in regard to the humiliation & brutalization of these women.
The vicious knife wounds i see in these stills is overkill, even the feet are so cut up. This shows that this person fought very hard for their life, i’ve never seen so many stab wounds on one person.
And again I say … the cover-up that is so obvious is not being conducted solely to help the suspects. They don’t rate … PvdScum didn’t even get his judgeship (though of course that rejection came after all the turmoil).
There is something bigger that is causing the Aruba government to ruin its own future and that of its people.
It must be some very big secret that they know would end their tourist business for all time … and they must also know that solving this case would be the biggest single thing they could do to restore it.

Aruba is a case study in so many things it is hard to know where to start. The average IQ must be very low if they do no understand that Bankers simply are not in the charity business. Aruba’s economy has not hit bottom yet, it will continue to fall until it contracts to some low base level. Their reputation is now so bad that there simply is no other case to compare with. Further, their political situation precludes them applying the most useful “fix” completely separating the tourist from the locals. Add to this the large percentage who’s income is dependent upon the Government and the falling revenue to support these people, well you get the picture.
The drug culture of Aruba is also a party to this. Joran is a sociopath. He accepts no responsibility for his actions. No family discipline, a father of dubious morals and ethics plus a ding bat for a mother. Like others in this class, he can be charming but the beast lurks within. This acorn did not fall far from the tree. We can all hope that Joran will turn out to be the Frankenstein in this play. The 2 brothers part in all of this is up for grabs but it is obvious that they are simply tools that have been used. Meanwhile, Joran struts about Aruba like some kind of National Hero. The people (see IQ remark) are so stupid that they cannot see what kind of problem this causes for them.
Don’t look for morons to solve this case!

#24 I have done a lot of pre sentence investigations of people this age for murder of one form or another. And for the most part, they are completly stunned at what it is really like when it happens. The one thing that you hear almost every time is, ” I cant believe how bad the smell is, and how much blood there is”. The only way someone can sleep at night after something like this is they have no soul! I believe that woudl be the case of these people involved in this case. And have you noticed, that as far as I can tell, not one of the players in this case has a daughter. Hope they get what they deserve, and hope the island does the right thing tommorrow.
Think about it, if they release them as suspects, where do you think they will go? If they are released can the US finally get the entire case information and will they be able to work with interpole? Maybe our legal eagles here can inform me.

Paulus learned in March 2005 that he would not become a judge as apparently he flunked his academic requirements among other things. He just lied about being one anyway and no one dared call him on it. That is a matter of record and he was told to find another job within the government civil service. Did he not tell Anita about this or is she just lying and playing the role in order to maintain their status in the Dutch elite of the island?
But now they want to sue Holland and force loans and support? Are they admitting they can’t manage on their own and are incapable of even paying their bills after the huge windfall of tourist profits over the years? All of that money collected in taxes just wasted? And they won’t even account for the last money the Dutch gave them?
Same attitude as with tourists–Aruba is totally arrogant and sadly does not seem to realize that it is nothing unique. As islands go, give me tropical any day instead of this arid, desert one. And their beaches are dung colored, not white as claimed. Crime is rampant and they just lie about that. Many tourists report awakening with burglars robbing them in their sleep.
Aruba is not in any position to file lawsuits and make threats. They should be making promises and concessions and working toward appeasement and finding justice for Natalee. How much of this are the Dutch going to take before they, too, will have had their fill of this corrupt and sick place? Maybe they will auction the whole island off to the highest bidder just to get rid of it. It is a blight on their reputation as well.
