Mary Winkler, Wife of Murdered Minister Matthew Winkler, has Confessed to Killing Him

The wife of a slain Tennessee minister has confessed to killing her husband Matthew Winkler. She has agreed to be extradited back to Tennessee.

Beth Twitty Reacts to Dompig’s comments, “it has always been in our minds, thinking that it sounded as if Natalee had been drugged.”

Beth Twitty makes the case for the suspects involvement with the following comments,

“… it still shows these suspects are so guilty of involvement into Natalee’s disappearance, you know, from—from whether they drugged her and she experienced a drug overdose—you know, but then, how they have, you know, covered this up from the beginning and derailed the investigation to where we could never proceed forward (INAUDIBLE) for weeks into it because the suspects just kept lying to the authorities.

And you know, it’s just going to be hard for us to believe this was accidental or anything other than something that was planned. It will be hard for—I know, for Dave and I to ever think that—you know, you don’t cover up something that was accidental.”

We are now to believe that giving someone drugs and shots of 151 is not somehow murder? All of a sudden the three suspects are not responsible for Natalee’s possible murder, but only for the cover up of a crime? Since when do people who did not contribute to a possible crime hide a body? None of the actions of hiding a body are consistent with an accidental overdose. Of course nearly ten months later, what credibility does Dompig have anyhow.

But first, some breaking news in the Natalee Holloway investigation. In a shocking new CBS News report, the chief investigator in the case says Natalee Holloway may not have been murdered, and instead may have died from a drug and alcohol-related overdose. And for the first time, we are seeing this newly released photo of Natalee. It’s the last known image of the Alabama teen from the night that she disappeared.

Natalee Holloway’s mother, Beth, joins us now by phone with her reaction. Beth, what do you think when you hear all of this?

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY, NATALEE HOLLOWAY’S MOTHER: Well, Rita, I—you know, I’m hearing that—something just doesn’t seem to fit, if we’re talking about, you know, Natalee have—you know, having died from a drug overdose. I mean, you know, I think that the bottom line is, we’re looking at, you know, where is Natalee, you know? We’re looking at a recovery mission. And really, what we wanted to stay focused on, let’s get these searches under way on the sand dunes, and let’s find out if—we need to rule this in or out, find out where Natalee is, where they placed her.

Aruban Newspaper Reactions on Natalee Holloway Case

The reporting on this interview with Dompig has become almost absurd. Dompig is stating that searches will be done in the dunes on the credible information from a witness. Yet, the interview with 48 Hours took place back in February. It is now almost the end of March and the information is being reported as if it is somehow new. Does anyone really believe that CBS and 48 Hours would sit on bombshell information for one month in fear that they could be scooped by their competitors?

ORANJESTAD (AAN): Recently, it has come out in the renowned American newspaper USA Today, as well as in other US dailies, that Aruba has a new witness in the case of Natalee Holloway.

According to the article, police have a new witness and have planned to organize a new search for the body of the American youngster.

The witness gave specific information, which made the investigators plan a search in the dunes near the North part of Aruba.

Commissioner Gerold Dompig, during an interview with the program ’48 Hours Mystery” of CBS, said that investigators will use cadaver dogs to search near the lighthouse, because they believe that there are people who took careful steps to hide the body of Natalee Holloway, and that perhaps they buried the body twice.

Gerold Dompig: “NATALEE HOLLOWAY WAS NOT MURDERED”

There have been some amazing and insensitive things come out of the Aruban investigation of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway; however, nothing quite like the following from Gerold Dompig and the 48 Hours interview. Gerold Dompig and the ALE could not even find it in themselves to search the Van der Sloot property not arrest the three primary suspects within the first 10 days, but now Dompig is able to determine what happened to Natalee and blame the victim in the process.

So suddenly after almost ten months a witness has come forward that is so credible, that Dompig now knows what happened to Natalee Holloway. A witness that is so credible that Gerold Dompig waited over two months to search the dunes area where this witness states Natalee was buried.

Shame on you Dompig and shame on Aruba for putting up with this nonsense. The eyes of the world are upon you and your police chief sees it more important to do an interview with 48 Hours than actually search the sand dunes? Aruba, what do you think the result will be of all this? Dumping on the victim and the family. You will have people that were not even remotely interested in this case loathing Aruba for what was just done.

A police chief speculating as to the demise of a victim. This investigation, sad to say just reached an all time low. Sit back and watch the outrage and backlash of what will occur. The wanting spitefulness of Dompig for some reason to inflict such pain upon a grieving family will not soon be forgotten. Another brilliant PR move done by Aruba. You think this is going to help your tourism, let alone solve this case?

Gerold Dompig, deputy chief of police in Aruba and the man leading the investigation into the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, says he feels strongly that Holloway was not murdered, but probably died from complications involving alcohol and, possibly, drugs as well. Dompig makes his remarks in an exclusive interview with 48 HOURS Correspondent Troy Roberts that will be broadcast on 48 HOURS MYSTERY: “Natalee Holloway: New Clues in Paradise,” Saturday, March 25 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
