Bill Frist Leads Informal GOP Poll for ‘08
Bill Frist, TN Senator may have won the GOP Straw Poll of 2008 Republican presidential hopefuls; however, that is not the real story. No its not John Mc Cain showing why republicans will never vote for him either in a primary with his actions. Mc Cain, who finished a distant fifth.
The real story of the Straw Poll was who finished second and third. Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney finished second with 14.4 percent and Senator George Allen of Virginia finished third. With the media as predicted only fascinated with John Mc Cain, they missed conveniently enough the big picture as usual.
Mitt Romney, Gov. of Massachusetts, President and CEO of the Salt Lake City, UT Olympics has star appeal. The northern governor of a New England state finishes second in the TN straw poll? Informal or not, that is something for many to take notice of.
Frist Wins, Romney Runs Strong Second
While the Frist victory (with 37 percent of the vote) was somewhat expected, the strong second-place finish of Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (14 percent) was a bit of a surprise.
Romney finished second in the poll of potential ‘08 presidential candidates. (AP)Romney, who lost one of his top political advisers earlier today, has focused heavily on South Carolina during the early stages of the presidential campaign but did not appear to be running an organized effort here at the SRLC. Romney himself was not even in attendance when the results were announced, having already left for Iowa

Natalee Holloway Legacy: Spring Break 2006
The aftermath of Natalee Holloway missing in Aruba and the subsequent investigation in to her disappearance has brought the discussion of safety for Spring Break 2006 to the table.
It is a wake-up call to students and parents alike not to take things for granted and to stay safe. The following are some interesting reads:
Spring break: Girls gone mild
A new poll targeting female college students says the excessive drinking associated with spring break can result in unprotected sex and women being taken advantage of by male partyers. And in the case of Natalee Holloway, the Alabama teen who went missing May 30 while attending a class trip to Aruba, it may have led to her death.

Another British Robbery - 75 Million Stolen - Of Monopoly Money
In what must be a case of the most bumbling crooks ever, a gang hijacked a van in the streets near London’s Heathrow Airport filled with money on its way to the airport. They were convinced that this was their big pay day. And it was, if you were going to play Monopoly. The 75 Million Pounds were there, but in Monopoly currency.
The gang snatched the white Ford Transit from a street — convinced it was crammed with genuine currency. But it was carrying hundreds of copies of the family board game, plus bundles of worthless Monopoly £500 and £100 notes to be used in an ad campaign. Police last night vowed to send the hopeless Great Game Robbers straight to jail — WITHOUT passing Go.
One detective quipped: “There will be no Get Out Of Jail free card for these chancers when we catch them. “And they won’t be collecting £200 either.”
Boat With 70 Children Onboard Hits Whale in Hawaii
When going out on a Pacific Whale Foundation whale watching cruise, you hope that you can get up close and personal with some whales. Well, for a group of school children off Hawaii, they got so up close and personal with the whales that their ship actually hit a mother and her calf during the trip.
No one was hurt in the collision, but the baby whale was bloodied, according to witnesses. Greg Kaufman, who heads the Pacific Whale Foundation, said no one saw the calf and its mother before the pair surfaced under the 65-foot Ocean Spirit just before 10 a.m. as the vessel was headed toward Kaho’olawe at a speed of 15 knots.
Jane Mori, a fifth-grade teacher at the Carden Academy of Maui, said 32 fifth-, sixth- and seventh-graders from the Pukalani school were on the boat along with a group from St. Joseph’s School in Makawao. “We were watching whales in the distance for some time and we were just starting to cruise around to look for more whales when a mother and calf just popped up right in front of the boat .

Gerold Dompig left for Holland along with Public Prosecutor’s PR (public rep)
ORANJESTAD (AAN): Information we have received indicates that this weekend, Gerold Dompig along with the public representative from the Public Prosecutor, Mariaine Croes left for Holland.
The reason is the case of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway where they will go look for and bring some data that finally Holland will send a Dutch ground with some more specialized dogs than Equusearch has to Aruba to look for some trace of the body of Natalee Holloway.
This means that police believe that Natalee Holloway died in Aruba.
