Tim Miller on Aruba’s Refusal of Sharing Information with FBI; “a new excuse every day”

Just when you think there is cooperation between Aruba and the United States, a new excuse is made. The latest in a long line of promised questioning suspects, arrests and fireworks comes the FBI’s refusal to bring cadaver dogs to Aruba because the ALE will not provide the FBI with “who tipped them of to start searching the dunes”.

With all shock aside, as many were wondering when the shoe was going to drop on the FBI cadaver dogs going to Aruba comes Tim Miller’s with the following comment in lieu of the FBI dogs.

We’ve got proven cadaver dogs our own self, and we don’t need to know where the lead came from. We can take them there, and we can take the ground penetration units there. And I promise you, in three or four days, we can find something in the sand dunes or clear them.

Oh, I’m going to be back in Aruba in two weeks, and we’re going to be doing stuff in the water. If the sand dunes have not been searched, we’re taking our ground penetration units and we’ll go ahead and do the sand dunes. We’ll take the dogs, too.

It was not too long ago on Greta Van Susteren ‘ON THE RECORD’, where Tim Miller offered Aruba the equipment and dogs to search on the land at no cost to the Aruban government.

Now on the land, I told Dompig I hope you find her before we go in the water. I told him to take dogs and offered the ground penetration equip at no cost to Aruba. we are going to do the sea, we will help free of cost for the land search.. we just want Natalee home.

Ground penetration equipment , I am willing to put rep on the line, in two days most if she is there, she will be found with this equipment. It will show a body under the sand, it works like a sonar on the water. The resources are there free of cost. There may be a conflict with FBI with taking somethings over there.

Conflict? Looks like Tim Miller knew something in advance. However, what is troubling is the fact that when Tim Miller provided this offer, Aruba’s response was, … “we will get back to you”.

So the ALE creates a road block to the FBI’s help and gives the brush off to Tim Miller and Texas EquuSearch. All of the US is watching and what they see is Aruban officials who do not seem to want to solve the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

And tonight, we’ve got some late-breaking details in the case of Natalee Holloway’s investigation. The Holloway family attorney met with Aruba’s deputy police chief and the island’s prosecutor today. There are also plans for the three to meet again tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the FBI is refusing to send cadaver dogs to Aruba to help in the latest search of the sand dunes. The reason why? The Aruban police won’t say who tipped them of to start searching the dunes two weeks ago. They won’t share the information with the FBI.

Aruba Police, Homeward Bound from Alabama

After a week of questioning a “wish list” of 21 people, a select list of Alabama teenagers who accompanied Natalee Holloway last May to Aruba, the Aruban police returned today to Aruba.

BIRMINGHAM Police from Aruba are returning home after a week of questioning Alabama teenagers who accompanied Natalee Holloway on her graduation trip to the Caribbean island.

F-B-I spokesman Ray Zicarelli says a federal agent accompanied two investigators from Aruba during interviews in Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi. Some of Holloway’s former classmates from suburban Birmingham now attend college out of state.

Zicarelli says the Arubans talked to “numerous” people while they were in the United States. But he says he is unsure of the exact number.

FBI not bringing Search Dogs to Aruba

The roller-coaster ride that is the Natalee Holloway investigation continues. As reported last night on Rita Cosby, ‘Live & Direct’, in an interview with Beth Twitty and Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch; the FBI is refusing to send cadaver dogs to Aruban to help in the latest search of the sand dunes.

The reason for the FBI refuses because “the Aruban police won’t say who tipped them off to start searching the dune two weeks ago“.

Rita asked Beth how outraged are you that the Aruban police won’t even give it to authorities this is the FBI. Rita I just don’t get it why won’t they seek out their help I mean just disclose who these witnesses are that have come forward and you know let’s do a coordinated search effort I mean the sand dunes they attempted this search what was it now two week ago Rita and it’s obviously that they cannot do it without some help so for the life of me I don’t have any idea why. Rita said outrageous not to share the information especially with the authorities

No Fireworks Seen in Aruba, but an Ever Present Cloud Seems to have Formed.

As continued promises are made by Aruban officials, there seems to be a cloud that just will not go away. No matter how much spin, how many marketing ploys and how much wishful thinking that this matter will just go away. It will not. There is only one way that the sky’s will clear.

Royal Caribbean Strikes Again; Cruise Worker Charged With Sexual Battery

With all of the controversy swirling over the George Smith missing persons case aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise liner in July 2005 comes the following black eye to Royal Caribbean. A Royal Caribbean employee, Henry Maceto Forbes, was arrested and charged with attempting to rape a passenger aboard the Legend of the Seas .

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — A Royal Caribbean cruise employee was arrested and charged with attempting to rape a passenger during a weeklong cruise, authorities said.

Henry Maceto Forbes, 34, was arrested Saturday when the Legend of the Seas docked in the Port of Tampa, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Forbes met the 22-year-old passenger in a bar on the ship Tuesday and offered to take her on a tour, a police report said. He allegedly pulled the woman into a dark room and attempted to rape her. She was able to escape, the report said.

Forbes was charged with false imprisonment and sexual battery and was being held without bond Monday. He did not yet have an attorney who could comment.

Missing 5-year-old Makayla Christy’s local SARAA Alert has been changed to a nationwide AMBER Alert. Makayla Christy was last seen around 6:15 p.m. Sunday night riding in her grandmother’s car, who is facing previous felony warrants.

Aruba Will Survive with or without Natalee Holloway hype

Hype? After nearly eight months and a declining tourism on Aruba that’s what they think this is all about, hype? From Travel Video, comes a wishful and heavily slanted article on tourism that refuses to ask one simple question, but instead posts numbers that follow:

For a country with a population of about 100,000, it received about 344,401 Americans between January-July 2005, posting an 8 percent increase over 2004. This, despite the mysterious disappearance of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway who went missing since spring break on the island’s limited area of only 75 square miles — barely 19 miles long and 6 miles across the widest.

If Aruba’s tourism numbers have not been affected with or without the “Natalee hype”, why have they not been posted? Where are the August through December 2005 numbers? Most importantly, the American tourist numbers visiting the island. Instead they provide us with tourism numbers of other countries that do not come close to the nearly 70% of American tourism that makes up Aruba’s numbers. When they do actually report any relevant ones, the tourism numbers are down drastically.

Arrivals from Canada went up by 5.7 percent to 13, 548, up 11.1 percent to 36,986 from Europe but went down by 1.9 percent with other nationalities. From January to October 2005, Aruba reported cruise passenger arrivals totaled 393,671, down by 9.7 percent from 2004’s 436,089. (Data were supplied as at January 11, 2006)

Like it or not Aruba has been affected by recent events and the continued perception of a lack of an investigation. It really is important that Aruba finally understand this is not about “Natalee Holloway hype”, its about the disappearance and subsequent investigation of Natalee Holloway.

To think that this has not and will not continue to affect numbers is to look away from the obvious. Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

20 Years Later the Space Shuttle Challenger, “slipped the surly bonds of earth” to “touch the face of God.”

Its been twenty years and we can still hear the words of President Ronald Reagan and envision the images of that fateful day. One of those moments in time where one remembers what they were doing at that moment January 28, 1986.

The crew of the space shuttle Challenger honored us by the manner in which they lived their lives. We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, this morning, as they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye, and “slipped the surly bonds of earth” to “touch the face of God.”

Bloggers Offered (and accept) Netherlands Travel for Advertising Space

Why does Holland always seem to be in the mix?

BlogAds founder and the Netherlands Board of Tourism came up with an interesting trade out for advertising. They are providing a free junket to the bloggers in return for advertising space on their sites are getting a free trip to the Netherlands.

We are never ones to tell others how to run their blogs and whether individuals accept this offer is their own decision. This type of practice has occurred in the media for years; however, the difference being is that Blog owners and reporters/writers/editorialist are usually in in the same.

All we do have to say is, and we take garbage from others for having the ads we do to cover costs? We will say this to those out there that have complained ridiculously over the use of blogads to cover costs of a Blog and time spent, where the hell are your comments on this? Blogads that we use being created contextually, might we add. It would seem that taking such an offer would create a conflict in how one would blog on Holland. The perception of favoritism for being “pampered by people with an agenda” would seem evident.

Bloggers of all stripes love to bloviate these days about public officials who accepted money or luxurious treatment from corrupt lobbyist Jack Abramoff in his attempt to curry government favor for his clients. But that doesn’t mean bloggers are above accepting pampering by people with an agenda.
