Rita Cosby Discusses Deepak … and Michael Posner?

Rita Cosby Live & Direct for Sept. 19th discusses with Beth Twitty and Harold Copus the latest news in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Read the transcript. This was a rather interesting exchange, referencing Michael Posner. Not a topic or angle normally discussed.

COSBY: What about Michael Posner? There’s this gentleman who owns a Excelsiorcasino where Natalee and Joran were seen spending time. Apparently, Joran has a big credit line there. I went into that casino. What do you know about the guy that owns that casino, Harold?

COPUS: Well this guy has that casino. He‘s alleged to have organized crime ties back to Chicago. And you can say alleged, he‘s actually served time. He‘s been convicted. So he comes up into Aruba and is able to get a gambling casino. At the same time, we‘re told that Joran and his dad both are gambling there. It really makes you wonder how that‘s happening and how they got this line of credit.

COSBY: Yes. And a big, big line of credit. Beth, I know you‘ve actually been to the casino, right? And Michael Posner threatened you, is that correct? HI

HOLLOWAY TWITTY: Well, there was a phone call made. And it was just really having me refer to—you know, I‘d only mentioned the fact I had gotten from prosecuting attorney as far as the open line of credit, and that Joran is in his casino gambling, and I don‘t think there was ever a question that Joran and Paulus Van Der Sloot had been in that Excelsior Casino, and, particularly, on the night of the 29th where he and his father met Natalee.

COSBY: Well they seemed to be worried about business. Well, of course, your daughter‘s well being is a lot more important. You know, Beth, as you think about this, you know, I was so heart broken. We left to cover the hurricane. And when I say we, not just myself, but a number of other people, because, of course, I was so devastating. And then, sure enough, a couple days later, they all get out. How disgusted are you at the system?

Dave Holloway; “I can’t stand behind the call for a boycott against Aruba.” I am a man of patience.

Yesterday in an interview with the Aruban newspaper Bon Dia. Dave Holloway stated that, ” I can’t stand behind the call for a boycott against Aruba.” In the many conversations that I have had with Dave Holloway he has pretty much expressed the same point of view.

Although he has shared the same frustration with the fact that the three suspects, Joran Van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers were released, Dave has always believed that it be better to take the sure and methodical route than one that will not properly prosecute those that are responsible for his daughter Natalee’s disappearance. Dave Holloway discussed this with Scared Monkeys prior to his trip to Aruba.

In his interview with Bon Dia, September 19 issue Dave Holloway also went on to state the following:

“I want the Police Force of Aruba to know, that I support them, just like I support the entire community of Aruba. Because only with the help of Aruba, eventually we will solve this case”, according to Dave Holloway, who added that he received all assurances that the investigation will go on.

Dave Holloway does not think that there was a cover up in the investigation of Natalee Holloway. He is aware that probably at the beginning the police were ‘on the wrong track,’ meaning that they were following the wrong lead. But, then the correct road was taken. “They are after, truth.

The case has been going on for three and half months, and still nothing has been found of Natalee. But there are cases that go on much more longer than this. I am a man of patience.”

Tropical Storm Upgraded to Category 2 (was 1) Hurricane (Rita)

The National Hurricane Center upgraded Rita Tuesday morning from a tropical storm to a Category 1 hurricane.

… projected that it would intensify and produce dangerous “battering waves” and flooding in the Florida Keys in a matter of hours before heading westward into the Gulf of Mexico toward the region devastated by Katrina. As of 11 Rita track 2a.m., Rita was traveling at about 15 mph with sustained winds of 85 mph in the northern eyewall, with the prospect of impacting the Keys “directly,” the center said. While the Keys have been closed to tourists, there were reports that about 80,000 residents had remained in the area with hopes that they can safely ride out Rita’s fury.

In Texas, Gov. Rick Perry (R) recalled all emergency personnel helping with recovery from Hurricane Katrina to prepare for Rita, including almost 1,200 Texas National Guard members, wire services reported. “The time is now to begin mobilizing our resources and implementing our plan to ensure an orderly response before Texas is hit,” Perry said. Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said emergency officials told him to be prepared to take in evacuees from Texas because of Rita.

How many parents do you know who can’t identify with a mother who just wants to find her child?”

From The Birmingham News, Keeping Natalee in the spotlight is a rather interesting article on a families and most notable Beth Twitty’s efforts to keep her daughters mysterious disappearance in the spot light.

“I learned pretty quickly that when you’re desperately searching for a missing child, the news media is your best friend,” says Twitty, who moved back to Mountain Brook last week after three-and-a-half months in Aruba.

This is a must read story that details the many aspects of strength an perseverance as to what is needed to even attempt to maintain a daughter’s disappearance to so keep it the focal point in the medias eye in an attempt to uncover the truth. We can all empathize and sympathize with Beth as we have come to know her over the months; however, it is fair to say none of us really want to ever know what it is like to walk in her shoes.

“People feel like they know Beth now, and they want to hear about the case from her,” Moret says. “It’s like she’s become a part of their family. How many parents do you know who can’t identify with a mother who just wants to find her child?”
