New Search Team May have a Change of Heart with TES?

After previously attacking the first search teams that went to Aruba to help the families of Natalee Holloway search for her; it appears that the new search teams may have changed their tune. In all reality this is about making every effort to help find Natalee and I am sure a seasoned search veteran like Fred Golba knows that. In an interview on Fox News, Day Side comes the following exchange:

Fox News Dayside Tues

Reporter: TES was there searching for quite a period of time, why do you think you will be able to help down there?

Fred Golba: Different techniques

There are a lot of obstacles here, they broke through a most of them for me, should make it easier for me

Going to the dump spending weeks in the dump as they did was a great asset.

I understand that a few of their people got sick working in there due to the horrible conditions

Sadly enough, they filled in all of their work which was a real waste of work and man hours.

Spoke to the prosecutor today, she is 110% cooperative in reopening that hole so we can get back in there

We are going to try to work 24/7 around the clock

Reporter: As far as cooperation TES had reported difficulties with authorities, Have you found them to be cooperative?

Fred: Yes, very much so they are cooperative. We learned a lot from the differences that TES had. By going to the police first, park rangers first and letting them know first. We learned from some of the problems they had.

Of course the only question I have is they are going to work around the clock with two dogs in a landfill?

Court TV; Jossy Mansur … The Gardener, the Bone and Joran

Jossy 1

From Tuesday nights Court TV with Catherine Crier’s interview with Jossy Mansur comes the following transcript:

Jossy: We have dedicated at least 6 reporters, everything we report is fact

Crier: I understand that your nephew employed the gardener

Jossy: I think it very strange for people to expect me to know the name of every person that may be working for the family. A large family of over 30 households

This gardener was not picked out by me

Art Wood found him after 2 1/2 weeks of searching, interviewed him
Took him with my son to the police to be interrogated
I didn’t know he worked for my nephew, but it turns out he does

The landfill witness: That is in police hands, they have interviewed him several times….he sticks to his story

The gardener was interviewed 3 1/2 hrs by the judge of instruction, all three suspects. He stuck to his story in front of the judge.

The bone: I know they sent it for tests, we will have preliminary tests either tonight or tomorrow. We never said it is related to the Natalee case.

Belt was also sent to Holland and we are waiting for results from there.

Crier: Is there anything you are seeing or hearing that would keep Joran
locked up after the fourth?

Jossy: Of course, I think he will be extended in detention for another 30 days. That is if the prosecutor does not file charges against all three of them before the 4th.

Crier: Based on what?

Jossy: That is circulating from sources we hear from within the prosecution dept. The one thing we know in this case is, no news is coming from the prosecution or police dept. That doesn’t mean they don’t have evidence we know nothing about.

‘THE ABRAMS REPORT Transcripts; Joran & the NJ Connection

On yesterdays Abrams Report, a New Jersey mother and daughter reportedly came to the defense of Joran Van der Sloot by referring to him as a a very romantic guy.

As much as the interview would appear to be a defense of Joran Van der Sloot on its face, after watching the interview and hearing the comments that Shelby Cadmus had to say I would question whether this really was a pro-Joran interview. By the answers this girl was giving seems to me Joran is capable of feeding lines and charming anyone to believe what he says. They fact that there may be another side to him, how would the mother or daughter ever know this.

Scarborough Country Transcripts; August 15, 2005. Paul Reynolds Remains Positive

‘Scarborough Country’ for August 15; transcript to the Monday show

Guest: Clint Van Zandt, Paul Reynolds, Bill Stanton, Jack Hickey, Graham Bensinger, Bernard Goldberg

JOE SCARBOROUGH, HOST: Tonight’s top headline: An American girl who dated Joran calls the Dutch boy a sweetheart, but an explosive court ruling may formally allow the FBI to nail the Dutch boy as a sociopath. Welcome to SCARBOROUGH COUNTRY. No passport required, only common sense allowed.

Paul Reynolds, Natalee’s uncle, remains optimistic and positive regarding Natalee with all that goes on around him.

SCARBOROUGH: Talk about what Clint said. He’s afraid that, because of all the missteps early on, that this investigation is never going to find out the truth about Natalee, and that these three punk kids are going to be able to walk because they haven’t been interrogated the proper way.

Have you given up hope, or do you and the family still believe that justice can be discovered in this case?

REYNOLDS: We’re convinced that justice will be discovered. We understand the difficulties, the problems that we had in the very beginning, and, you know, all the concerns that we’ve talked about over the last few weeks.

But, you know, we’re determined. And, you know, we’re going to stay involved. And, you know, we are seeing an increase in the effort. People are continuing to come forward. We’re convinced, we’re certain, that, you know, the truth will come out and there will be justice.

REYNOLDS: Well, Joe, we can’t give up hope. We still have to have hope until we’re shown that Natalee is not alive. But…

SCARBOROUGH: So you believe, Paul, though, you believe tonight that she could still be alive?

REYNOLDS: You know, it’s certainly possible, you know, no trace has been found. It’s not something we can give up on until we’re just absolutely shown otherwise.

That’s not to say we’re not realistic. We understand the possible consequences. And, certainly, we’re looking into those consequences, but you just can’t give up hope yet.

A Great Way To Look at the News

Red and I had the good fortune to meet Gabe Rivera at a blogging conference this spring. He is the founder of the site Memeorandum, not to mention a really excellent person. What is great about Memeorandum is that it collects news from around the world and then shows what the bloggers are saying about the stories.

What is atypical, and brilliant, is that the bloggers are not from one side of the political spectrum or the other, but cover the whole range of opinions. So if you are conservative, moderate, or liberal, you can find blogs that share your viewpoint. And find new opinions that may change your mind on other topics.

So many of the people who visit our site are fairly new to blogging and different people out there. This is a great place to learn about other bloggers feel about the top stories of the day.
