RSSBlogs UP, Old Media Down (aka There’s a New Sheriff in Town)
The new media, Pajamas Media, is going mainstream. The timing couldn’t be better.
In a dramatic sign that Web logs are going mainstream, three of the largest political blogs are banding together to form what is believed to be a first-of-its kind ad-supported network.
the three – ArmedLiberal.com, RogerLSimon.com, and LittleGreenFootballs.com - will receive editorial advice from the owner of one of the most heavily trafficked blogs, Instapundit.com’s Glenn Reynolds, among others.
Looks like we have the next step in the evolution of blogging.
The idea of Pajamas Media is to use an extensive network of globally affiliated blogs to provide first-person, in-depth coverage of most major news events, including both camera and video footage, Roger Simon said.
With 162 affiliate blogs in dozens of different countries, according to Mr. Simon, the new venture will have the ability to get “in the middle of stories” that major news organizations can’t, “because our affiliates will have a physical proximity, language, and cultural knowledge that the Associated Press man will often lack.”
Oh to be a fly on the wall at the MSM Network board rooms these days or as posted earlier today what must the Newspaper outlets be thinking?
Michelle Malkin seems to have the same opinion as “the news of this groundbreaking venture comes as newspaper circulation figures plummet.” Count Michelle in and her pajama-clad-self.

The broadcast media (TV) has become an advocate. It supports a left-wing agenda by ostensibly REPORTING news when it actually is reporting OPINION. The talk radio pundits make no bones about their shows: they say it’s OPINION, not hard news. Fox (FNC) is successful because it separates hard news reporting from opinion reporting. It’s ironic that their stance gets criticised as “right-wing” when it is actually a lot fairer than the alphabet networks.

i do not buy any of the local newspapers and i also do not watch news on any channel on the t v instead i read online news from aol and fox news.
the reason is simple enough, its cheap!
the question is floating around out there saying network news and newspapers are going down the tubes, which they are.
The Pajama Media is definitely the way to go. It is time the networks stopped telling people what the government tells them to tell the people to do.

As a member of the so called main stream media, all i can say about this is, “ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME”. If we don’t report what we are told, we will be looking for a job. When a reporter covers a news story, all we get is actually his perspective of what happened….

I got up this morning and a voice in my head repeated Cain’s answer to God. Am I
my brothers keeper? When God asked Cain, where is your brother? God already knew the true answer. Maybe he was giving Cain one last chance to atone for murder. Tragically Cain copped an attitude. Every day that age old question gets played out in our lives. Surely we all have the mark of Cain which like a bad gene has to be kept in check. But today I pay tribute to a Viet Nam Vet, a B52 navigator. A God and Country boy of German descent. A born again Christian and none more patriotic. He took some shell fire in the hand over Nam and came home to work in a pro American company called Honeywell. He had a degree in mechanical engineering and was a company sales manager out of New York. In his glory days he lived high on the hog married his secretary, had four kids, two homes and his own plane. He was all over the world meeting with heads of state. The company paid for his wife to go along. He once told, I think it was Bresnev, to keep his hands off his wife or relive the battle of Stalingrad.
He was a speak up take no crap kind of guy. HE USED TO CHOKE UP WHEN HE TALKED ABOUT THE ONCE GREATNESS OF AMERICA. A week after 911, My wife and I and Roger planted an American Flag on the beach at sunrise and played twenty tunes of glory for those who died. The fog was just lifting over the Verazzano Narrows Bridge. We were the only ones there. It was a good feeling.
Like many of us today, we are afraid for our grand children. Who have been brain washed in communist cucumber school. Saddled with guilt for crimes they never committed. Being fitted with a liberal bridle. Taught to hate God and country. Never to focus on creativity and imagination. The mother of invention.
Not Like the boys and girls of the fifty’s, we received a golden legacy from eleven million Americans who went to die for us all over the world. These heroes every one, many were born from parents of the depression who started with nothing. When welfare was a bag of flower. You learned English or else. When dad got the steak and the twins slept in bureau drawers. When stores were closed on Sundays and it was a family day whether you liked it or not. When a grounded time out was accompanied by the gauntlet on the way to the recovery room.
Ladies never cursed and men never cursed in front of ladies. When only Hollywood slime got divorced. Everybody else had to practice tough love. If you can’t keep the vow don’t take it.
Well, like the Greeks say nothing to excess. Too many cocktail parties started to affect my friend. The sad decline ended with a broken family, a divorce, early retirement and brokesville. That is when the master sent Roger to me, under the there but for the grace of God go I clause.
Meself having grown up Irish with two bars on every block I can smell the difference between booze and after shave. For my clan and my wife’s clan we have a gene for poteen (whiskey) which we must constantly guard against. Today the Guinness mixes with coke which leads to heroin and death, muerte expresso rapido.. So even though I could not afford to hire Roger having just come off personal bankruptcy myself I found room. I let him do his executive thing which was a great morale boost for us both.
With one understanding. Do not come to work with your problem. When you are feeling fit come right in. Many a day off I had to cancel because of no show. To the point that I had to get up anyway for work not to be disappointed.
He was honest, he was loyal and he was dedicated. He was still in love with his wife. Only the devil pulled him down. Surprisingly our greatest moment together came when we made a sales presentation for patrol boats to the US Navy in Norfolk. He got that old board meeting feeling back. We did a couple of things together that only big shots get to do. It gave him his dignity back.
Towards the end he would drop out for months at a time, then show up as a new man ready to go. He did not make it in last Thursday and Saturday his twin brother called
to tell me he died suddenly at home. BLEEDING ULCER. He never lived to enjoy social security and a pension that had just kicked in. He had recently bought a nice big Mercury Grand Marquis. When I hear the President talking about partial outside investment so you can leave your kids something I agree. All I see is the social security croupier raking in the winnings and allotting them to foreigners who pay no dues and get the booklet in UN speak.
Like a wise salesman once told me. Yesterday is a canceled check. Tomorrow is a promissory note and today is cash in hand. Make the most of your time and thank the creator twice a day. TV Themes – Welcome Back Kotter 1976.mp3 Fireman John got on the job late and loved it. He bragged that he had it made. His mother was the nurse in the premi ward. She showed me my son through the glass. Who would think that one day her son would manage a store for me in his youth. He was very good and his favorite song was welcome back which now plays at the gates of heaven for those who want to go there when the big curtain falls.
In memory of all the good guys and girls who served their country. We dedicate a closing hymn. Each record scratch represents over 8,000 Americans who laid down their lives for us sheep. They were alive when this record was cut. Maybe they were not saints then but they are saints now.
