Bishop Robinson, Never an Agenda There

From the very outset of Gene Robinson’s tenure, it was never about an agenda, just religion, right? The Rt Rev Gene Robinson, the Bishop of New Hampshire in the Episcopal Church of the United States creates a firestorm.

Jesus was an unmarried, “non-traditional man” who did not uphold family values, “traveled with a bunch of men” and enjoyed an especially close relationship with one of his disciples.

As David Limbaugh states its “A Blasphemy Among Blasphemies,” but what did anyone expect would happen when the Episcopal Church elected Robinson Bishop? Did they not think it was the beginning of a liberal crusade to justify homosexuality in the Bible. It is truly an evil thing to say but what would we expect from the individual who compared himself to Jesus Christ when he went through the difficult opposition election process of becoming Bishop.

David Limbaugh further went on to say:

Did not uphold family values? What? He defined them for all the ages.

One would have to be morally blind to read the Bible and suggest that Jesus, who along with the Father and Holy Spirit, inspired its words, would be endorse, much less participate in homosexuality.

Surely this guy isn’t suggesting Jesus didn’t underscore the sanctity of marriage.

It is almost unbelievable to imagine that these words are coming from an Episcopal Bishop. After ready Bishop’s attempted justifications of homosexuality I actually feel the need for a shower.

However, who could not see this coming? This was the liberal agenda all along why he was pushed through. I’m glad that the Bishop deems it OK to justify to such a small percentage of the people that Jesus was gay, does he ever take the other 98.4% in to account?

OTB also has some interesting comments on the Gay Bishop’s comments.

I almost forgot – Thank you New Hampshire.

Its a Different Kind of Privatization Charlie Brown

Democrats are going nuts over personal private social security accounts. Imagine if George W. Bush suggested something like this?

Then again, sometimes the Libs act like he did.

Get Out the Violins For Michael Schiavo

Exactly what did Michael Schiavo think would be the reaction of people when one goes out of their way with such determination and vigor to have their wife put to death who did not have a terminal illness? Did he actually believe the MSM polls that agreed that Terri should die? Looks like Michael Schiavo is having a more difficult time than he expected after his actions.

Terri Schiavo’s widower has gone into hiding because of the furore over his wife’s death and has sought police protection.

The family see it as the final act in a 12-year campaign of spite by their son-in-law. Other alleged snubs include having his wife’s wedding ring melted down to make a ring for himself.

I certainly do not support any violence that may ever occur, but what did Michael think would be the end result? There are extremists on all sides of issues. Why expose yourself to them? There was nothing more than a pro- euthanasia agenda throughout this scenario where Michael at ever turn made the wrong decision. One cannot look at it an say it was not out of spite. Even after death, Michael cremated Terri’s body and buries her ashes away from her family in PA. One last spiteful act that separates the Schindler family from Terri. Did he really think he was going to go on with his life as normal?

Michael Schiavo will always be known for this act. When properly polled and Americans were told the specifics of Terri Schiavo’s condition and Michael’s actions these were the real results of what people wanted. Michael Schiavo really better hope the autopsy is worse than he expects. No matter what the case Michael Schiavo’s life will never be the same.

There is one thing that I have always wondered during this entire matter talking about the lack of a Living Will with Terri. Does Michael Schiavo have one and if so does it say “remove feeding tube” if incapacitated.

From The Files of … Shut Up and Quit Your Whining

I am a free speech person like the next guy; however, there comes a point when one must just say … SHUT UP! Its bad enough that for the most part Jacques Chirac should usually remain silent but this takes the cake. Chirac actually does the right thing and orders the lowering of the French Flags in respect to the passing of Pope John Paul II.

There are actually people who would call this an abuse of power?

The Unsa union said the government was guilty of double standards having ordered schools to take part in the tribute to a religious leader while having banned Muslim head scarves in state schools in a drive to keep schools firmly secular.

It couldn’t possibly be that this was done out of respect for the historical contribution that Pope John Paul II made in the ending of communism and not entirely for religious reasons could it?

Oh wait, these are communists complaining. I second then my previous thought, SHUT UP.

Isn’t The Pope Supposed To Be Catholic?

Americans have this idea that some how everything is supposed to be inclusive and all aspects of religion are to meet their standards not that they must conform to the doctrine that already exists. Also poll takers also have this fascination of developing outcome of polls to fit their agenda. According to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released Sunday, it would appear that Americans want the next Pope to not be a Catholic.

They want the next Pope to be like John Paul II; however, they also want the following:

Seventy-eight percent said the next pope should allow Catholics to use birth control, 63 percent said he should let priests marry and 59 percent said the next pope should have a less-strict policy on stem cell research.

Fifty-five percent said the next pope should allow women to become priests, while 44 percent said he should not. The question’s margin of error means the difference is too close to draw strong conclusions.

Folks, John Paul II was the way he was and beloved for the way he was; that was not being a liberal. It seems that James Joyner at OTB also seems to have the same fascination and sense of humor. This idea of inclusion by the West is getting to be absurd. Do American’s realize what a small percentage worldwide they are of the Catholic community? The Catholic Church is not there to allow you to feel good about every decision you make. There is a reason why these laws have been in place for thousands of years. As James Joyner stated:
