At some point during this July 4, 2009 when you are spending time with family and friends, attending a picnic, get together or family reunion, and watching fireworks this evening, please take the time to either read or contemplate what this day truly means and the words that were written in The Declaration of Independence July 4, 1776.

Do not ever forget that today is about Life, Liberty, Freedom and “We the People”. Representatives that acted by and for the people of the Colonies and a new nation at great sacrifice. I would ask of our politicians today … where are those brace men and women that cared more of the people, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness than they do about being reelected and usurping power?

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare,

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.

The Declaration of Independence …

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. The Wrong Governor is Leaving … Alaska Governor Sarah Palin Resigning from Office

Wow, this will make cable news stop talking endlessly about Michael Jackson and his favorite color …

In a shocking move on the slow Friday news cycle before the 4th of July, Governor Sarah Palin is stepping down as Alaska’s chief executive by months end. Palin has stated that she will not seek a second term as Governor in 2010. I echo the words of Jammie Wearing Fool, “Just WOW”!

“People who know me know that besides faith and family, nothing’s more important to me than our beloved Alaska,” Palin said at an announcement from her home in Wasilla. “Serving her people is the greatest honor I could imagine.”

Palin was elected governor in 2006. She was tapped as Arizona Sen. John McCain’s vice presidential running mate last year.

Palin said she was transferring authority to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell, who will be sworn in at the Governor’s Picnic on July 26.

Is her political career over or is this a bold move to get out of the cross hairs of the media and Democrats to run as the true Conservative, Washington, DC outsider in 2012?

 “We are not retreating, we are advancing in another direction.”

It had been speculated that Sarah Palin would not seek a second term as she had aspirations of a career on the national stage. Let us just hope that this is not a result of the ridiculous attacks from the LEFT and from the jealous McCain staffers. Lt Governor Sean Parnell will take over the reins on July 26 and hopefully give him a leg up in the 2010 elections.

Lori Drew, there may be no justice provided on earth; however, there is a special spot in hell reserved for you for your actions against a 13 year old defenseless little girl.

Will there really be no justice for deceased 13 year old Megan Meier and her family? A federal judge on Thursday tentatively threw out the MySpace computer fraud conviction against Lori Drew. How is it possible that the Missouri mom, Lori Drew, walks away from the cyberbullying and suicide of Megan Meier with no conviction, but with blood on her hands?

Lori Drew, the keyboard coward who was complicit in typing “Megan Meier is a slut” and “Megan Meier is fat ” and “The world would be a better place without you.”

Lori Drew’s intent was to emotionally harass a minor. How did Lori Drew’s actions not constitute, stalking, harassing and endangering the welfare of a minor?

Wow, who would have thought within the first year of an Obama presidency that the press would compare him to Richard Nixon. OUCH, that’s going to leave a mark, The Chosen One compared to Nixon. …  There’s change you can believe in … Stay tune for Fox’s new TV show, When the LEFT ATTACKS.

The media made Obama, they have carried the water for Obama and now they appear to be fed up with Obama. Has the media finally gotten tired of Obama’s lack of transparency and stonewalling of the media’s questions? What did the media expect? They created Obama by never asking a tough question, does the press now have buyer’s remorse, literally!

When liberal Helen Thomas thinks that Obama is trying to control the press, the Obamamessiah really has a problem. Is the media going to finally expose this President and the Administration for what they really are? They claim they are for oneness and transparency, yet have done nothing but stonewall, create media infomercials, have media plants, and pre-screen Town Hall questions. As Town Hall.com states … It’s about time, called on it for once.

“Nixon didn’t try to do that,” Thomas said. “They couldn’t control (the media). They didn’t try.

“What the hell do they think we are, puppets?” Thomas said. “They’re supposed to stay out of our business. They are our public servants. We pay them.”

The honeymoon is over. The press laughs at Press Secretary Gibbs lame attempt to duck their questions. Has the as the Obama House of Spin is starting to unravel. Barack Obama made a campaign promise that he would not tax anyone who makes less that $250. That promise all but got him elected a it was those mean rich people who were going to pay for everything in Obama’s redistribution of wealth program.

Looks like Obama is learning that a campaign promise and a smile does not make a President.

Barack Obama better get a lot of practice in before he throws out the first pitch to this years MLB Allstar game in St. Louis. MO. A lot of practice. He might have to bring his teleprompter onto the mound to provide pointers.

Just because President Barack Obama can shoot a basketball does not mean he can throw a baseball. Heck, Michael Jordan learned that the hard way. However, isn’t it funny that the media was all over showing video of Obama shooting hoops. Where is this video of Obama throwing a ball at a dunking booth with Emanuel on the hot seat. The Gateway Pundit says, “he throws like a sissy”.

Gov Sarah Palin Responds to Senator Kerry’s “Missing” Joke … Hey John, Why the Long Face

Return of the Jedi … Alaska Senator Sarah Palin gets even with John Kerry and asks the junior Senator from Massachusetts, “John Kerry, why the long face?” Governor Palin, while speaking to servicemen in Kosovo, took the opportunity to respond to the not so funny wise crack that John Kerry made this past week wishing that it was Palin that had gone missing rather than SC Gov. Sanford. Real humor is such sweet revenge.

 Hey John Kerry, Why the Long Face?

 ”He looked quite frustrated and he looked so sad,” she said. “I just wanted to reach out to the TV and say ‘John Kerry, why the long face?’,” she concluded.

Long face? I resemble that remark!

As we have always said, what makes a joke funny are three things, there has to be a little truth related to the joke, the delivery and it actually has to be funny and not mean spirited. Sarah Palin nailed all three and added her usual class as well. As stated by Stop the ACLU, the only thing missing was a “bless his heart”. Unlike Kerry’s joke that bombed big time, Palin’s zinger was an oldy, but goody.

Investigation to Take Place in Aruba for Corruption and Misgovernment … Go Figure … Corrupt or Safe, You Make the Call

CORRUPTION IN ARUBA … REALLY?

Say it isn’t so Joe, what a shocker … corruption in Aruba, who would have thunk it!

The corruption investigation will go on … As reported in Amigoe, an independent investigation will take place on possible corruption and “misgovernment” on Aruba.  Aruban Premier Nelson Oduber (MEP) announced earlier that there would be no investigation on corruption on the island. What else would one expect Oduber to say say seeing that it id his party in power and who will be scrutinized. For those that would claim that Aruba is “One Safe Island,” never mind the fact that such a notion would be lost on the family of missing and presumed dead Natalee Holloway. Can one really expect the truth when even the Netherlands states that there is corruption at the highest levels?

On the question if the plan of approach also implies an investigation on possible corruption, he then responded with a ‘no’: “The plan of approach is not an investigation. The Kingdom has no right whatsoever to investigate internal affairs of Aruba.”

The Netherlands have long been worried and accused Aruba of corruption.

On the very day that the United States celebrates it’s Independence, you would dare have diplomats from a thug regime like Iran over for lunch. How out of touch are you? We are rewarding Iran’s government for their action against their people? Oh, but I guess as Hot Air has stated, our two countries must have so much in common.

As Iranian protesters are beaten and killed in the streets in protest of an illegitimate election, President Barack Obama continues with his cherade of weak and ineffective “hot dog” diplomacy that some how passes as foreign policy.
